Went for tea and cake. Had to return dirty cup. Teapot lid cracked and would not shut as waiter pointed out! Poppyseed and lemon cake was inedible being very dry and felt old. Staff busy chatting to each other and not worried about bad service. Expensive- just counting on mane. Go elsewhere.

A party of 5 ladies from the Isle of Man (3 sisters - mums & 2 daughters having lunch) on a family week end away in Manchester - The staff at Harvey Nichols were very rude & unhelpful - They even spent a lot of time staring at our table & talking amongst themselves - I don't think we have ever experienced this type of treatment in a restaurant in our lives - we will definitely not be returning again.

Ok chicken baguettes and good selection of Fentimans soft drinks. The waitresses could have been more cheerful, othervise good service.

When eating out the food has to be top notch and it is here, been several times never had bad meal and the staff are very professional and friendly, the restaurant was full but the service was swift and efficient. The layout is really nice although for us the decor doesn't matter too much it's the food that counts but the views here are very good. Can recommend. Prices are fairly high but the food is worth it so very good value.

I badly miss their old restaurant on the top floor. Starting crisps were nice followed by the sandwich

Came here for late afternoon drinks early December and chose to sit at the bar. Always a nice, classy atmosphere in here. The new Bar Manager whose come over from The Alchemist was brilliant! Lovely lady who was very chatty with us and her cocktails were excellent - and not watered down like in most places now. The bar was sadly shut for a long time during covid so I’m glad they’ve reopened.

Dropped in for a quick coffee but very disappointed with service. Although we were shown to the table quickly - only 2 other tables occupied - we were practically ignored by waiting staff. Had to request menus then waited ages for order to be taken. Staff seemed disinterested. Coffees were ok when they finally arrived but certainly won’t be rushing back.

First time visiting in almost 3yrs as a result of the pandemic and what a disappointment. It was nothing like I recall. Waited a while to be greeted/seated, no offer to take coats. Waiter was rude and lacked any interpersonal skills…certainly made an impression but not of the right type. Staff seemed unorganised, scruffy and disengaged. Was told that no festive option was available so we ended up ordering a salad as the remainder of the lunchtime menu was poor compared to previous visit's. Paper table coverings made the experience feel more like a school dining room rather than a high end restaurant. Decor lacked any lust and lacked all atmosphere. To apply a 13.5% service charge as standard based on what I and many others experienced that afternoon is simply a joke and as such I didn’t pay this additional fee. Once a loyal and regular customer, won’t be heading back anytime soon like so many other people I know. You should look at your feedback on trip advisor (not just me who feel this way). Some big changes are needed….

Used to come here quite often before the pandemic. Made a booking but was unable to complete due to COVID and Omnicron variant. Requested to cancel without charge. No compassion or offer to refund in view of the current climate and situation. I get the impression it is a 3rd party now operating the brasserie. HN need to remove them as it will damage their own reputation.

Terrible and slow service, took around 40 minutes for drinks, one of which never turned up (although they still tried to charge us for it). We had to witness multiple customers arguing with staff over due to them having similar experiences. Staff also lied to us saying food was being plated up as we spoke, but still took another 20 minutes. I thought it may have just been a bad night so contacted the general manager over email, after being asked to provide my mobile number to discuss further and waiting a month I wasn't contacted, extremely poor. Food, when it arrived, was actually pretty good but the bad taste from the service ruined it.

Went here with a friend when it reopened last month. The food was nice but the service was terrible. Drinks were just plonked on the end of the table and were wrong. Impossible to get any one’s attention. Nobody asked if we were enjoying the food or if we wanted anything else, I sent an email to customer services and was told several weeks ago that somebody would call me to discuss. I just wanted to give some constructive feedback as this used to be my favourite restaurant before covid closure. As it stands nobody has called me so I will never go back to the restaurant and will be advising my friends not to go.

Celebrating our Goddaughters birthday we thought we would have a treat so afternoon tea it was. But when it came it looked terrible, the sandwiches were triangular wedges certainly not what you would expect and the whole thing was poor, they had even ran out of tea & Champaign! The manager did her absolute best to resolve things and was lovely but if they want to attract people back they really need to up their game.

In Manchester to see a gig at the Arena with my Husband, and having previously enjoyed cocktails at Harvey Nichols in Leeds we stopped by The Brasserie in Manchester for lunchtime cocktails. Unfortunately we were totally underwhelmed and disappointed by the service. The Brasserie was virtually empty but it took a long time to attract the attention of a waiter to order drinks. We were enjoying a chill so didn’t let it spoil the experience. It took a while for the drinks to come but we enjoyed them nevertheless. We decided to have another cocktail and again struggled to attract attention to order further drinks. The same applied when we asked for the bill and the subsequent wait for the card machine. The waiters were less than welcoming, they were certainly not rushed off their feet so I cannot understand why it took so long to serve us a total of 4 cocktails and take payment for them. There were 2 young ladies sat at a table nearby and having consumed cocktails they cancelled their food order (probably waited too long) Their empty glasses and unused cutlery and napkins remained on the table for at least an hour. By the time we left there were another 2 tables sporting empty glasses and detritus while the waiters chatted to each other near the bar area. There seemed to be no management watching out for these type of lapses in service with all the staff just doing as little as they could get away withThe cocktails we’re nice but we were not impressed at all with the service.

We enjoyed some great sandwiches over lunch here; the choice was imaginative, the ingredients clearly fresh and the food produced whilst we waited. Results were superb, as good a sandwich as you could want and generous for the reasonable price. Excellent service by a friendly and helpful member of staff. Great view of the cathedral and everyone around us seemed very happy and to be enjoying themselves. We'll return.

We visited the restaurant as a group of 7 on a Friday night. We didn’t receive good service at all and the quality of food and the wait time was very long despite the restaurant at 25% capacity. Complained about beef tartare starter and manager asked if we had even had it before which was quite insulting. Starters were not good, mains and desserts were satisfactory but nothing wow.They took really long in between courses to bring the food and we felt the service was not very professional at all.Would not recommend or return back again.

Went to Harvey Nichols for late breakfast / coffee on a Sunday morning. Having not booked we asked front of house if a table for 2 was available, told they were rather busy, but they had a table for us. Sat down in restaurant less that 50% full and ordered coffees, omelette and Eggs Royal. After 25 minutes wait post ordering we had to remind the waiting on staff about our order, coffees appeared 5 minutes later. Over 45 minutes after first ordering, again we had to remind staff we were still waiting for our food. 15 mins later, with still no sign of food, (60 minutes from order) we requested the bill for coffees as we were leaving. A mildly apologetic waiter told us they would not charge for the drinks. Couldn’t rate the food, as we didn’t get any! Avoid this place like the plague, it’s woeful.

After getting turned away by the stuck up host (unfortunately didn’t get her name) as we clearly didn’t fit the image she expected, to be told walk-ins weren’t currently accepted, we thought fair enough so went to book on the website for an instant table, however saw a couple walk up and get a table straight away. We went back and obviously had a word. We were soon seated! As for service it was slow, this wasn’t just for us who didn’t fit the image, (whatever this may have been) but for a lot of customers who we noticed weren’t served what they ordered, walked out etc. we waited an hour and our food finally came… was it worth the wait? Yes it was. Food and presentation was great. The 13.5% tip they added on was a complete joke… Kind word of warning… if the manager reads this, sort your stuck up front of house out, she clearly doesn’t deserve a job, we were paying customers the same as anyone else, you even got your tip as couldn’t fault the poor staff who work for you and served us!Next time we’ll go elsewhere, not Manchester HN!!

Eaten at HN Leeds since it opened in 97 and assumed the Manchester restaurant was as good- the food was great and we dipped into the excellent brunch menu as well as us having main lunch items - all excellent - and nice cheery fellow diners and Xmas shoppers gave good atmosphere. However you can always tell when a waiting crew are not happy- no cooperation, no smiles, avoid eye contact- and the meal descended to farce with forgotten orders, massive delays, no inclination to apology , absent and ineffective manager . Shame . Of them all my favorite is the Edinburgh one, what a location. But sadly we weren’t in Edinburgh.

Had a glass of champagne on the bar and went through for lunch which was lovely. However service levels were not up their usual standards - the staff were working very hard. It was apparent that there were just not enough of them !

The place looks warm, staff very friendly and place well oraganized by the managers Really enjoyed my time spent there with my girl and definetly coming back soon. The service from Amine and Srinivas makes us to fell very welcome too

We booked online to visit this restaurant for breakfast as we have have previously been before and throughly enjoyed it. We booked a table at 10.30am. After planning our morning around visiting Harvey Nicholls we arrived to find the store does not open until 11am. There was no way in and we were not informed that this would be the case. We tried calling the restaurant several times and no answer. We found this very frustrating as said before we planned our morning around this and when we tried to get in to other restaurants for breakfast they were fully booked and we needed to book. So what we envisioned would be a nice relaxing breakfast turned out to be a coffee and teacake at Starbucks which I could of done at home. Needless to say we will not be visiting again as we found the communication very poor.

They must have been having a bad night I was very disappointed with the food and service , I asked for a glass of wine three times, it never arrived . The manger argued he was doing his best service was very poor and the food disappointing. I won’t try again for some time which is disappointing as I used to really like the restaurant as it was before lock down.

Visited for lunch at the deli. Superb attentive service from Rachel. Gorgeous sandwiches and nice coffees/wines. We very much look forward to returning.

Previously I have enjoyed visit's here. However, after ordering cocktails, a bottle of wine,starter and main. We were presented with wine which was lovely. After a good wait we recieved both starter and main! I sent the main back, as it would obviously go cold. Scallops were well cooked and enjoyable. Mains were then presented and had been freshly made. Tasty and hot. Less peas in the crayfish pasta would have been prefered. During our main and half way through the bottle of wine. Up pops our cocktails. Shockingly poor service for which we did not pay! Friendly staff in charge and many apologises were given. I do not think we will return. Shame, as the food was lovely and atmosphere and decor fabulous.

After waiting to get a seat for my self and friends to have a drink, we got seated and were given a cocktail menu, we were told they would bring the wine list, after waiting a little longer I got up and asked for one as one hadn’t been brought back. It then took a further 20mins for someone to come and take our order, followed by another 25 mins for the drinks to arrive.We were not happy with this long wait , a couple next to us who had been also waiting got up and left. We were also unhappy to find a table of 4 being served before us who had arrived afterAll of this waiting was for 2 drinks.!!When they finally arrived and we asked for some money off the drinks for such a long wait, the manager argued with us, I commented that the couple next to us had also left due to waiting so long and got told ‘that’s none of your business’He then went to speak to his joint manager as we said we would like to speak to him and were told he is too busy and that he will not be discounting our drinks.He also said that he shouldn’t have really let us in as they were busy but he did out of sympathy.I wouldnt expect this type of service and comments from a standard small bar, but to have it in a Harvey nichs store is really not on. Several table were empty so it’s not as though they were completely full.

Our whole experience of this store was a huge let down.On entering the music was so loud I had to shout at the assistant.I wanted some guerlain perfume which is not stocked at this branch.She was most helpful and told where to purchase the perfume in Manchester.We wanted a coffee, the time being 10.30.amThe assistant in the food department told us it was not served till 11.00am.We left.No wonder the store was empty.

We were directed to our table by our lovely friendly male host. Thé brasserie has a new breakfast menu (excellent), but which unfortunately omitted our favourite omelet. The chef however, very kindly made myself and daughter a cheese and mushroom one, which as usual, was delicious, many thanks. As usual, all areas including the outside terrace were spotless and Covid regulations were observed. Staff are very professional. We are always made to feel very special when we eat there. Thank you

Great experience, had fun making cocktails and learnt a lot from the Bar Manager about different drinks, informative and fun, fantastic lunch. Staff were extremely polite. Great variety on the menu. Clean and the service was excellent. Can’t wait to come for lunch again.

He estado en HN más veces de las que puedo recordar y la mayoría de las veces la comida es excelente. El personal es amable y muy profesional y ofrece un gran servicio eficiente. He ido a la cena de Navidad todos los años durante un par de años y es absolutamente hermosa. El asado de los domingos y el inglés completo son igualmente tremendos y la hamburguesa es muy buena y sabrosa. La razón por la que no le he dado excelente es que los postres a veces son un poco decepcionantes en comparación con los altos estándares del entrante y el plato principal, no están mal, pero no son brillantes. Sin embargo, el postre de plátano que probé durante un año fue excepcional y estoy esperando a que reaparezca. Mi último punto es que, a pesar de su reputación de ser de alta gama, los precios son muy razonables considerando la calidad de la comida.

I had a voucher for a cocktail and afternoon tea. The bramble gin cocktail was presented first and was very nice. The afternoon tea to follow was one of the best my daughter and I have enjoyed, tasty fresh sandwiches with a good choice of fillings and there was beetroot hummus and pitta. The cakes were delicate and we received unlimited tea. The service was attentive and we had a window seat a very enjoyable afternoon.

Eleven of us tried the express lunch - Main with a drink for £15. I was really worth it. Good food, friendly welcoming staff and great selection of drinks. We were not rushed even though they were very busy. We will be back very soon.

What has happened to this place. It really used to be the place to go. Not anymore, I won’t ever go again!!! Arrived today to be met by a frosty faced hostess who couldn’t wait to tell me they were “full”, even though there were several empty tables. We went back 30 minutes later and got a table. Wish we hadn’t. Nobody asked if we wanted a drink for at least 10 minutes, I looked at the rather limited menu, and literally didn’t fancy anything. I ordered 2 starters, as I didn’t like the look of any of the mains. The goat’s cheese tart arrived, it was average. I had ordered a ploughman’s, it was the worst ploughman’s I have ever seen. Literally 3 tiny pieces of cheese on a plate with a stale bread bun, some dry chutney, no butter or any other garnish. I have had better in a motorway services. My husband had same starter as me, and a risotto which was tiny and very dry. No puddings, no coffees, one bottle of sparkling water and it was £50. Total waste of money. I was more annoyed about the fact we had made an effort to go into Manchester and I didn’t get the nice experience I was hoping for. Very very disappointing. Definitely won’t be going back.

Es un gran lugar en una muy buena ubicación si tienes una mesa junto a la ventana, es muy agradable.todo el personal fue agradable y servicial, mi comida fue muy decepcionante si era la elección incorrecta, pero no era un menú normal con muchas opciones extrañas para ser sincero, era como si trataran de ser diferentes ofreciendo platos pero no había tema y probablemente mejor si te quedas con un tipo de menú en lugar de unir todo.Un labrador no es un entrante, es un almuerzo por la tarde. El entrante de mejillón no era especial y, como dije, creo que hice la elección equivocada, era sal y pimienta tipo chino oriental y era demasiado salado para disfrutar y no era fácil presentarlo como un buen plato en un plato con salsa de soja negra y repollo . No dije nada con es como fue mi elección equivocada y no me di cuenta de lo que realmente era. Pescado y patatas fritas: nunca había pescado tan grande que estaba bien preparado y sabroso. patatas fritas y los guisantes no era agradable. Las patatas fritas estaban duras y poco cocidas, aunque tenían color pero no estaban cocidas. No los comí y me ofrecieron un postre gratis en su lugar, pero no quería nada más ya que me decepcionó y no estaba dispuesto a probar nada más. Se negaron a quitarnos un cóctel que supondría un costo en el menú de un budín, pero no podía ser, para ser justos, un bareley se comió cualquier cosa solo la mitad de un gran pez.Waitreess (sin quejas por ese lado solo la comida) intentó ofrecernos café gratis pero habíamos estado bebiendo cócteles y no tenía ganas de café. Tuvimos un par de cócteles, todos fueron agradables y disfrutamos. Los problemas lo intentarían de nuevo, pero tal vez solo para tomar una copa en el bar. El personal del lugar y el ambiente era agradable, fue la comida que fue la gran decepción.

El té de la tarde en un lugar supuestamente en el mercado no tenía nada de especial.Fuimos un sin cita previa e inicialmente sentimos que éramos un poco molestos. Ciertamente, nadie era más que educado pero no bienvenido

Después de haber reservado un té de la tarde para un cóctel wowcher como un regalo temprano para el Día de la Madre, llegamos ansiosos por una experiencia de primera clase. Sin embargo, el caballero que nos recibió fue decididamente helado y poco acogedor, lo que hizo que la tarde fuera decepcionante. La Brasserie se llenó bastante, así que fue difícil hablar con la camarera que era mucho más agradable al final de nuestra comida. Así que un verdadero servicio de vergüenza: ¡2 de 5 en total por eso!La comida tenía algunos sabores deliciosos, pero la envoltura de pesto era demasiado poderosa para las otras delicias que venía en mi opinión.

Stunning meal. We went early to celebrate my birthday, so had the winter warmer and it's excellent value for money. Staff were lovely and attentive. Food arrived together, beautifully presented and cooked. The kitchen made me a birthday plate, that slice of cake was solid chocolate and gorgeous, but I was particularly taken with the chicken salad. It was moist, salad was full. The starter of cheese was delicious and the chutney was tangy and tasted delicious. I recommend coming here & I will definitely come again

My friend and I had a lovely time yesterday lunchtime, we both ordered a very pleasant coffee served with a delicious little biscotti biscuit followed by a beautifully chilled bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. We didn't order lunch as such but we did have some chips and bread served with different types of butter and dips which was lovely, hot, very nicely presented and served by wonderful staff. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Manchester.

What a fab offer this is, a two course meal for £19 including a cocktail and a three course for £23. The menu has great options and the portions are generous. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. I enjoyed it so much I went back for lunch a few days later with a friend. We enjoyed the set lunch for £15 including a glass of wine. The atmosphere is chilled and the tables are well spaced. I definitely recommend this lovely Brasserie.

Bit underwhelmed. I am from Leeds & expected the Manchester restaurant to be as good . It wasn’t a patch on Leeds. The decor, atmosphere or food.

When we talk about customer experience I was expecting nothing less from Harvey Nichols but unfortunately, I was left disappointed. The staff generally were lovely, warm and professional but there was one staff member that sadly let it down. It was the gentleman that took our initial order. I mentioned two alcoholic drinks were included with our Wowcher deal. He dismissed this idea without a second thought or even a, “let me check madam”. I found him quite curt. I then had to scroll through my emails to find the voucher I had provided on arrival, rather than enjoy the quality time with my daughter. It took a little while to get his attention and he offered no apology. He was quite abrasive.

there is no way that I cannot recommend this restaurant, the food is delicious and a consistent quality prepared and cooked by the chefs, Yannis his service was perfect, as was Karla's on our previous visit, both very pleasant and friendly, I don't believe waiting 5-10mins. ish in my books is earth-shattering, the atmosphere is smooth, the management are on top of everything,

We arrived bang on our reservation time but had to wait 5-10 minutes for our table to be ready. When we were seated we had a wobbly table and I wasn't overly impressed by the ambience. Hard floor and busy with people only having bar drinks standing about next to the table where we were to eat. Menus arrived and we ordered drinks. We then waited almost 50 minutes for someone to take our food order. This only happened because I eventually managed to speak to one of the waiting staff who walked past and told him we were waiting. The rest of the staff seemed to rush about between tables not looking whether anyone might need anything.

An amazing day out with Harvey Nichols Second floor. Service, menu and food selection made for a lovely way to enjoy my afternoon and Manchester.

We booked an afternoon tea for 4 persons which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The staff service was very good from taking our coats, the ordering & they were very polite. Where we sat was excellent with a great view all together a lovely afternoon & Birthday treat.

Stylish interior to bar and restaurant located within Harvey Nichs in Manchester. Staff were delightful and made this lunch time experience quite memorable for the right reasons. Good selection of champagne available by bottle and the glass. Not a huge menu but all dishes were freshly prepared from quality fresh ingredients and the ' set' me u particularly offers great value.

Exceptional! My wife and I attended “cocktail experience” and had the personal attention of our own mixologist for 3 hours. The cocktails were superb, with an explanation of the ingredients at every stage, with us actually making the cocktails and then designing our own cocktail at the end. Highly recommended!

This is the only second time me and my friend have been, the service was excellent. We will be back again.

I booked 5 places on the Champagne Cocktail Masterclass as a surprise gift to one of our friends who was celebrating a big birthday. It was an amazing experience. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who led us to a reserved section of the bar. The barman, Lee, was just superb. He was very knowledgeable, funny, interesting and his attention to detail and perfection was outstanding. He made the first cocktail for us; a Mimosa which was delicious, but we then went on to make a Classic Champagne Cocktail, a Raspberry Mojito Champagne Cocktail, a Margarita and a Cosmopolitan! Lee gave us time to enjoy our cocktails and if he even made some ‘weaker’ ones as the Champagne Classic was a bit too strong for two of our party. Lee also made sure we had plenty of water to drink and a few snacks to soak up the alcohol! Our birthday girl also received a beautifully presented Happy Birthday desert which was totally unexpected. The experience was fantastic value, amazing ambience but it was Lee who made the whole thing very, very special. Thank you!

After experiencing Edinburgh HN I expected more of the same fine cuisine, service and ambience. Sadly lacking on 2 fronts!

Party of six for cocktail masterclass and then lunch. Warm welcome. Master class was great. Maybe more than we expected and Dom was really good. Good balance of information and making and drinking. Lovely lunch. Everyone enjoyed their different courses. Good service. Great day.

We only stopped for drinks but was expecting a bit more. It’s over priced for what it is. I don’t mind paying higher prices for drinks, if it’s a nice but it felt a little bit like a food court cafe. Also 10% added to the bill for service, when it’s just drinks? I would have left a tip anyway but I don’t think it should be added to the bill automatically for drinks only.

We visited the bar area for a celebratory glass of champagne to start our anniversary celebrations. My partner had to go to the bar when we noticed they were pouring us old and flat champagne, after sulking they poured it away and got us fresh drinks. When we finally managed to get the staff to notice us they left the bill, walked away for 15 minutes ignoring us and talking. I complained to the manager and told him his staff didn’t care and the service was shocking, celebration spoiler. I have dined and drank many times before here, but our city has so much choice, why bother. We then went to the Ivy and the service is something the tired Harvey Nichols bar staff need to raise their game to.

Mum has never been to this restaurant and because I had I wanted her to experience this restaurant. We booked which was advantageous as it was very busy on the Sunday afternoon as it’s obviously very popular. We had the Sunday lunch which was dearer than we usually pay but well worth the money . The staff were very attentive and polite , the food delicious and I would definitely recommend a visit .

We were a group of 50 or so, and it is always hard to find good places to take a group this size. My first thought was "we're eating in a department store?" It was a large restaurant. I thought the passed appetizers were just OK and that was my feeling about the food. I started with duck pate which was served whipped in a serving glass with some berry jam on top. The flavor was ok but very weak because the whipping takes a little pate and makes it a lot of whipped pate. Not the luscious flavor and texture I expected. My Coq au vin was nothing like any coq au vin I've ever eaten, and not to the good side. They were trying too hard to be different, and unfortunately they were. I ate some but not all.

First visit was for a glass of champagne at the bar which turned into two ! Relaxed atmosphere and delightful staff. Second visit was for lunch which was fab ! Top quality. Great value at £20 for 2 course- parsnip soup was delicious. the goose was wonderful. Add bottomless house wine for £10- 1.5 hour timescale.

Called in here for coffee on a Saturday, but everything looked so nice, great atmosphere and very efficient staff, we ordered drinks and lunch! We have not been here for some years so was pleasantly surprised.It was very busy, we were lucky to get a table. Enjoyed an excellent lunch with first class service.

Have you ever had a two day old cake that’s very dry? Well, this is what HN Brasserie serve for afternoon tea. The champagne came much later and with the tea, perhaps over an hour later. Staff weren’t on the ball at all!

We visited here to taste their new summer market menu. Was very good value and one of the best service I've had in Manchester. Very friendly service staff and food was excellent quality. Will be back again.

Went there on a Tuesday for coffee and ended up spending two hours nibbling some very tasty snacks. The service was great and we were not under any pressure as it was quiet. very relaxing.

I have been many times to this restaurant and food is normally to die for. Last week's meal was abit dissappointing though. We had the goulash which was not that tasty and was only warm. Waiter was great, sorted everything out for us and could not apologise enough. Starter and dessert were good. Staff were great and could not do enough for us. View is great, with a view of the corn exchange.

Haven’t been to Brasserie at Harvey Nic’s for a while but goodness I would go back in a heartbeat. Had a wonderful table in the window overlooking the cathedral. Young man who served us , think he was called Chang, was just amazing. Food excellent and value for money the best for miles around.

Went for an impromptu early dinner on a Saturday. We were seated quickly by a professional and apologetic front of house manager who apologised for not seating us at the window. This was no problem- we were a walk-in and didn’t expect prime seating. It’d be worth it to book this- the views are awesome.

The 3 course summer menu offered excellent value for money and a chance to sample some great dishes. The pigs cheeks just amazing. We only did the 2 courses as that was filling enough. Staff very friendly, cocktails very lively!

Optamos por pagar un suplemento por bistec y fue cocinado a la perfección. Los postres también eran increíbles. ¿Todos pasaron un momento encantador?

Vinimos aquí después de recibir un cupón de amigos. Tuvimos una comida de tres platos con champán y nos trataron excepcionalmente bien.

Estoy seguro de que el servicio en general es muy agradable, pero fuimos atendidos por un hombre que fue muy hostil. Una señora nos llevó amablemente a nuestros asientos y después de esperar 15 minutos, decidimos dirigirnos hacia el bar. Cuando estábamos cerca del bar, un hombre se nos acercó y dijo: "¿No ves que el personal del bar está trabajando"? Me sorprendió regresar a mi asiento cuando dijo: "Tomaré tu orden en un momento".

Such pleasant staff here. I visited with my daughter intending to have brunch but we were late so settled for a delicious salad main and sourdough bread starter which we shared and was quite enough for us. We are both gold card rewards holders and my daughter had a voucher. I had a lovely herbal tea and she had sparkling water. The staff know how to make you feel at home. We will wake up earlier for brunch next time! (Although when I told the manager as we were leaving he said the chef always try to accommodate for a later brunch - that is service for you!).

I rang the restaurant on Wednesday 10th July to establish that the restaurant had availability mid July for the prix fixe menu with bottomless drinks (prosecco, red and white wine). I was told by a lady with an accent that this was in order. I must point out that I too have an accent. I had invited a dear friend to celebrate an important birthday this evening. On being seated I spoke to the manager who lamented that I had been misinformed. In lieu of the 'bottomless' offer he would offer the three course menu with two proseccos each. That is what my friend and I understood and I was happy to accept that. That was the one way that my disappointment could have resulted in a bonus, given the offer that was in existence an on offer by the restaurant. When we ordered our main courses we requested a side dish of hand cut fries. These did not materialise while we ate our vegetarian and pork dishes. The manager apologised and offered a complimentary drink each. I was then surprised to be presented with a bill well in excess of the three course deal with the cocktail. The manager who came on after the gent who had dealt with us was not happy to amend the bill and claimed to consult the previous manager on the phone. He was adamant it was one prosecco each, not two. What an embarrassing situation. I am disgusted with the restaurant and for me the evening has been ruined. This was a very important event and is not at all about the money changing hands. I approached the replacement manager who came on to the shift and he would not budge. In addition my pork dish was cold when it came out, expecting the hand cut fries to assist. I am a frequent reviewer who loves food and drink. Harvey Nichols has failed to deliver this evening. I was a regular diner. Not sure if I will return.

Always have to pop in here when visiting Manchester! Friday afternoon cocktails just have to be done! Quality of ingredients and presentation second to none. Service is brilliant and lovely atmosphere inside!

Visited with friends and taken care of by Kenny who is one of the managers here. Great menu, two or three courses plus one with a wine/prosecco pairing with top ups.

We went to the second floor bar, where we were meeting people for the book signing part of our fundraising charity bike ride. Kenny Robertson is the general manager and a more fantastic host you're never going to meet. The bar staff were amazing and the gin and tonics went down a treat.

Love the stylish but low key not posey bar/restaurant. Staff don’t bother you but are there when needed with information and guidance. Excellent meeting. Chilling venue.

I have been about 10 times to eat here and every time it’s good. There’s a great view of the city centre, good food (the Cesar salad with Chicken) is really tasty, so is the afternoon tea which we have had twice now

Visited here for a late lunch,food was ok,just thought 1 of the member of serving staff was a bit off.he seemed to make conversation with other tables apart from us, very strange.

First time visit in Manchester. We went here for an early dinner. I had the delicious cod fillet which was well priced. The staff were most helpful, especially Shaun and Malcolm as they gave us directions around Manchester!

While you're shopping round Manchester a visit to Harvey Nichols is a must. And while you're there a wonder upstairs into the food hall and it's associated bar and brasseries is also a must.

Having eaten hear many times over the last 10 years I'm.agraid to say service standards have dropped.We arrived early to enjoy a cocktail but the bar ears was like a children's playground with small children running around part of a large party.

Cannot praise highly enough the staff who made our day such a special one to remember, in particular, Lee, our superb Mixologist. The Cocktail making Masterclass was exceptional and it is something that I would definitely do again. The lunch to follow was delicious and the ambience of the bar/brasserie was perfect.

My friend & I visited the 2nd floor wine bar/brasserie for lunch recently. It is a place I regularly visited with my husband & which we both thoroughly enjoyed - not this time. They have changed the layout, having removed the tables from close to the windows, always a great place to sit & watch the world go by. If that wasn’t bad enough, they have removed the said tables & chairs & replaced them with high stools & high tables. My friend is only short so she practically had to be lifted up onto the stool. We ordered our open sandwiches, I have to say I much prefer mine ‘closed’ & asked for tea. We were informed they didn’t provide tea or coffee anymore but the waiter was very good & provided us with the tea from the restaurant. I hate to say this, especially as he went to so much trouble for us, the quality of the green tea was abysmal. The friendliness of the staff would make me want to return but I’m afraid to say, that isn’t enough to actually make me return. The fact the place was empty except for my friend & I speaks volumes. Dear Management, why did you try to fix something that wasn’t broken.

have been twice before and food and service is excellent especially on first two visits as set menu was offered at lunchtime with good choice. Sadly went today and the set menu had been moved to evenings which was somewhat disappointing especially as the main menu had very little to our choice. would once again say food was top class as was the service. they explained they change the set menu to different times so if you are looking for this check at the top of menu what time it is being served. wish they would keep it at lunchtime or until say six o clock from lunch as when we looked the choice would have been more to our taste
