Beautiful scenery and a delightful atmosphere! The staff were incredibly welcoming and delivered exceptional service with seamless teamwork. I especially appreciated their ability to strike the perfect balance between allowing me to enjoy my meal undisturbed and attending to me promptly whenever I needed assistance. A special mention goes to Rashid, who was both personable and professional, making the experience even more enjoyable. The three-course meal was delicious, with each dish perfectly prepared. The ambience was just right—relaxing and inviting, complemented by the stunning views. I absolutely love this place and can't wait to visit again.

Visited on Saturday evening for daughter’s birthday. We were fortunate to have been given a pod to enjoy our evening. Staff are very well trained and customer service was excellent. We were very well looked after and the drinks were great. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Stunning venue. Can’t wait to revisit.

I visited 20 stories on Saturday early evening with family for drinks prior to the ballet as part of my mums 80th birthday. When we arrived it was very busy. I enquired about getting a table due to my mums age. The staff were extremely helpful. They found us a table for a short while while we had drinks. I cannot thank them enough for this small kindness. It made my mums experience so much better. It's really appreciated xx.

View is the main attraction of course, we only had drinks but it was very good. Bartender had a lot of knowledge on wines. Of course slight up-charge from regular bars in the area but well deserved, really enjoyed the evening

This evening my friend and I went for dinner at 20 stories and the man who served us (Florian) was absolutely wonderful. Informative, enthusiastic, and attentive I cannot sing his praises highly enough Thank you for a lovely evening!!

Complete rip off. Prices are extortionate. Drink price shocking!! Bottle of wine £35+, Pina colada £17, glass full if Ice!! Service is substandard. You are purely paying for the venue. Outside on the terrace is freezing. Waiting over half hour for our food. Still waiting!! Menu hnfit for purpose. Steak £40. Sides extra on top. Food bland. Its a money pit. Save your money go to the IVY instead!!...Overated!!

We had a lovely meal here celebrating some special occasions. The service was excellent from everyone. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make it a great day. The atmosphere was excellent, we were lucky that it was a clear sunny day so the views were great. Food was very tasty. We look forward to returning!

Came here on Wednesday night with my sister. We were greeted nicely from doorman right to the staff at the terrace top. Dania was remarkably attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere and vibes. Recommend!

I have visited 20 stories Manchester multiple times, and it never disappoints. Every visit feels the same with consistent service and warm hospitality from the staff. The bar offers a high view of Manchester, which is stunning. The seating is comfortable, making it a relaxing experience. I always enjoy their fresh orange juice, which I order every time. This place is a must-visit and one of Manchester's iconic spots.

Views are not great in the restaurant, a limited number of window seats looking over Salford. Additionally food portions are very small and hugely over priced. Paying for a sub par view. Much better restaurants in Manchester.

Ofcourse you have to visit this place. You can see the beautiful Manchester from this building and it looks gorgeous. The place from inside is also very beautiful and ambience makes you sit long and long.

Went in December 2024 with my wife for drinks whilst Christmas shopping, service was really good. Mulled Wine and Mince Pie were spot on! Returned in January 2025 with the whole family, so they could experience 20 stories. Disappointed, waited, 25 minutes for 5 drinks! Had to go to find out where they were, then had to show them my bank transaction and my Google history of the order as nothing came through to them via the app. They apologised, 4 of the 5 drinks then arrived within 5 minutes! The 5th drink arrived after a further 10 minutes........So all in all waited 35 - 40 minutes for 5 drinks on a quiet day, which incurred a service charge! Would need an incentive to return based on this visit.

Pretty poor experience overall paid £300 for me and my partner to enjoy an early meal and have access to the evening event for new year but you will find I won't be spending another new year here as there was 0 value in what was offered. I was expecting a live band at the minimum but simply a generic DJ set and nothing more. Leaky umbrellas that hadn't been waterproofed meant outside was a no go. The food served was mediocre at best sadly. Service was good from staff especially considering the amount of people present but the abhorrent service charge was sad in contrast. The only true service letdown was having my umbrella go missing and being told to collect it on new years day where it turned out they were closed. Sadly disappointed for what should have been a great evening celebration.

Stunning. Visited mid November for drinks and dinner and they could easily accommodate us. As we were under 6 people it was a walk in policy for the terrace drinks, but for the restaurant they were fine and had tables free to move us inside for food. Menu was a good selection of options but the lamb was amazing, super tender and melt in your mouth. Good portion sizes and incredible service, would definitely recommend and return

We booked 20 stories venue for new year’s eve last night, paid £150 each for two people. In the deal we got a three course meal, a glass of fizz and new years party included. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted and invited to head up stairs. We were early so we waited until 5pm for our meal, which is what we signed up for. We enjoyed our meal, no problems with the food. After the meal, we received a shocking bill, £40 for service charge. We didn’t plan to pay that amount of money for a service charge. When we asked staff about whether it was compulsory to pay it, one of the bar staff said it was not compulsory and the other bar staff said it was! After digging deeper and asking another staff member, we were told it was not compulsory! In the end we did pay £20, which was optional but we did feel very uncomfortable and pressured to pay. We didn’t like that for every drink, there was a service charge on top of each drink, as it was expensive enough already. We didn’t understand what we were paying extra for. There was no where to sit down as all of the tables had been reserved, we were told that if we wanted to sit down, we could go outside in the rain. We ended up leaving 8pm on new year’s eve last night, which was disappointing after paying £150 each to enjoy our new year’s eve there.

This was OK! Not sure what the hype is. We had to explain several times the different types of food we required. For example, vegetarian, vegan pescatarian. We had the food it was ok. When it came to paying the bill a lot of extras were added on. Our Dad paid the bill without looking at the bill. We looked over it and had been charged for extra drinks. We questioned this and one of the female managers said it is what it is. We then said we want a refund on our dad’s card as we were paying the bill, she then said just send your dad the money. Luckily another manager stepped in, refunded our dad’s card, took off the extra drinks and gave us the bill. Too be honest not very good service if you have to argue the extras added on. Our bill totalled up to £383. They whacked on a huge £45 service charge. By this time we couldn’t wait to leave so paid the bill, only to see the service charge after. Also in the beginning when my sister booked she asked if we could use experience vouchers. They said yes so we booked, then the day before we got a call to say we couldn’t use the vouchers. Again after calling several times they said they would honour them. Please check, and re-check your bill. Some places think they can get away with adding on extras. If you don’t want to pay the service charge don’t feel pressured into doing so.

When I placed the stars I am thinking of drinks not food. We did not dine it and just had some cocktails. Bartender was very nice. Staff also nice.

We came last night for food and cocktails and honestly cannot fault it! The food was stunning and came out very quickly. Service from rashid was honestly the best we've ever had , so friendly and attentive (he's a credit to 20 stories). The rest of the staff were amazing too , helping us to take our pictures and just genuinely happy to help. Really nice night so thankyou , volveremos pronto!

Was a beautiful view and we were so excited to enjoy some of the cocktails until we were told they were going to charge me £25pp for booking a table for food, when we only wanted cocktails. They didn’t give me an option when booking. We decided we may as well eat here instead of wasting away £50, and the menu was awful for those with certain dietary preferences; I am vegetarian and there was only one option for me, we made the choice to leave, and the girl behind the desk changed my booking to ‘cancelled’ so I was going to be charged the cancellation fee of £50!! Girl behind the desk was so incredibly rude. Just ensure when you make a reservation, it’s for the correct seating or be prepared to be charged £25pp. Terrible service, although the view is incredible but cloud23 is certainly a better option.

I looked at the location and the menu and thought ‘wow’. Then the dresscode came up. This place is not accessible for neurodivergent travelers.

Inconsiderate staff. Went to washroom for 10 mins tops and they cleared our table even though we had left our bag and other belongings at the table along with our barely finished food and drinks. They charged us the bill without even letting us take off the service charge. Would only recommend for the view nothing else is good here.

I’ve been to 20 Stories more times than i care to admit over the years, for lunches, dinners, and just drinks and always had a fabulous time. The food is good quality without being too pretentious and the drinks are well made by the bar staff. The review is prompted by my most recent trip last night, where I took my family for the first time. Wanting to show them one of my favourite Manchester hot spots, I didn’t think about the fact it was a Saturday night in the run up to Christmas. My primary school age daughter found it a bit loud and there was nowhere to sit but the staff spotted us wondering and found us a quiet table in the dining area. It was that simple act that made me realise something I’ve always know but never acknowledged, the staff are what make this place. A really great team of people. Plus the views are awesome!

Dined at 20 stories for the first time and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent from starter to dessert and we enjoyed a chilled ambience throughout. The service we received from Rachid was first class and he simply couldn’t help us enough. Lived up to the hype and we 100% recommend 20 Stories

Elegant restaurant. Panoramic view of most part of the city centre. The ambience is good. Food is above average but the prices were on the high end.

Booked a table and they had no record of it when I get there, eventually got in and had to sit at the outside on soaking wet seats! We moved inside to the bar as was too wet. Ordered our drinks and only to be charged £36 for service charge even though we were stood at the bar, £14 &£15 for a cocktail which we were happy to pay but the service charge, be careful folks, overpriced while the view is nice, you’ll pay £16-£17 a cocktail

Worst place I’ve ever been. Great views, but it ends there. Charged and absolute fortune for horrible microwave food. Didn’t touch the starter or pudding. Wouldn’t feed this to my dog. Will never be going back. Place is a complete con. I’d be embarrassed to run this place and claim to serve food. Make sure you’ve got a few hundred pounds spare as you will be charged for everything expensively. Just get the air free as on top floor.

We came for a work party and it was lovely! Notably, our experience was made excellent by Nancy, Christina and Holly who were very attentive and super friendly all night. They went above and beyond for our group, which can't have been easy as there were a lot of us!

It didn’t live up to our expectations. We told immediately after seating down that we 1 hour 30 mins so needed to order our food despite the fact that we were waiting for someone else who was parking the car. And we were still waiting for the drinks. Food came ages later and it was cold. Lobster was rubbery with only fries nothing else for the price we paid it was a disgrace. Despite being rushed earlier on food took ages to come. This place is over hyped and it under delivered. Despite all this we had a service charge of nearly £40, it’s unbelievable to say we were forced to eat at 100miles and hour, cold food and not enjoying the food.

As a veteran and 3 work mates to be refused entry with no reason but we were 4 males is disappointing if we where 4 females we would allowed in. Because We are a mixed group over 20 we where instantly dismissed thanks .

The view is stunning, and we enjoyed the food. However, it’s quite expensive for what you get: £16 for one glass of red wine, for example, is very steep. In total, we spent £250 for a dinner for two, which included three courses and two drinks each. Additionally, we felt a bit rushed: the courses were served quickly one after the other because our table was needed for other reservations, and even before we received our dessert, we were handed the bill and told that we couldn’t stay any longer. Furthermore, there were many (drunken) guests misbehaving, which was quite disappointing.

Went with my daughter for her 30th birthday. All very fancy, amazing views, good service. Starters and pudding very good which bringsy score up to 2 stars instead of one. Probably if we had not had the lobster would have been 4 or even 5. Unless you are pretty wealthy and do not give a damn about value for money, don't have the lobster!

Nothing wrong with the food. Just decent grub cooked perfectly, just nothing to write home about and nothing I'll remember a week later. What makes this place is the outstanding service, immaculate location, great ambiance and amazing views. If the food was raised from Gastro pub level to Michelin level, it really would be the place to go.

I have never written a review before but this is without doubt the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Walking into the place is unreal. Like a nightclub rather than a restaurant. You have to force your way through the crowd of Love Island wannabes pouting for selfies to get to your table. We were given menus and then after 10mins picked our choices only to be told by an abrupt waiter that half of what we ordered was unavailable. Piss poor. Starters of prawns and scallops arrived which were nice. The main meals of cod and spatchcock Poussin came next and I genuinely think that I could have cooked better food. Unbelievably bad. We decided not to have dessert because the food was so poor but we had half a bottle of wine to drink. The waiter who had not poured wine into our glass all night brought us the bill and told us that we had to leave the table in 5 mins. At no point were we asked how the food or our experience was. There was a huge queue outside of pouting nobodies so I'm sure as a business it will continue to do well but if you want a decent restaurant experience then I would avoid.

A high-altitude restaurant suitable for couples to have a drink. The dishes are not wrong, the overall taste is good, and the environment and atmosphere are also given full marks. The only drawback is that the cost-effectiveness is average.

Visited last week with my wife for a drink after Christmas shopping, we had been a few times before and had enjoyed it, hence returning. We left feeling ripped off, how can you justify £25.50 for 175.ml glass of wine and a 2/3 pint of lager UNBELIEVABLE!!! Won't be going back soon.

Came here a few times now and loved it each time. Very nice views all round which is really cool day or night. Drinks very nice too, and a few different cocktails with a slight twist. Service is good but weekend evenings it's quite busy so have to wait a little. Worth it though. There is an outside area too with booths that can be booked. Great place, I'll be back here a lot and recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic views across the city from the 20th floor.

We had an anniversary dinner here and had a wonderful time! The pre-theatre dining menu was amazing value (3 courses for £37.50). The food is really high quality and the portion sizes are decent, they're not too small despite it being a fine dining restaurant. They also brought us an extra dessert with an anniversary message written in chocolate on the plate - a lovely surprise! Would recommend going on a weekday so it's less busy and you're more likely to get a table by the window.

I can’t actually review my experience because we were refused entry at 22.40pm. Told the bar was “closed”. Bookings for drinks only aren’t facilitated so thought we’d try our luck. It was my 30th birthday and we fancied a post dinner drink before heading home. The doorman was beyond rude. Initially refused to open the door at all, before proceeding to do so only to deny us entry. We went next door to The Ivy and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Unless service style and standards have dramatically changed here, being refused entry at 22.40 is weird.

Whilst the views are fantastic, the service was unfortunately very poor. Sat at the bar in eye line of the staff and yet they chose to serve 2 large groups who came after us. Disappointing as this was highly recommended by friends to visit in Manchester.

The food was very delicious and I really liked the atmosphere, everything was absolutely beautiful! However, I did not enjoy the service so much. As we arrived, the first thing the waiter told us is that we only have limited amount of time. We weren’t just told this once, he told us that we have limited time about 5 times! This was quite unprofessional. Yes, I understand that it was a busy Saturday evening, but we just wanted to enjoy it. Other people from our group were a bit late, but we ordered as soon as we could order. Our food took about an hour to be cooked and then we were supposed to eat in hurry, with the waiter telling us we have less and less time left. It was supposed to be a very nice evening, but it was ruined by the service. We also had to pay extra, for the service, which is pathetic with the service we got. I understand that there could’ve been troubles before with this, but this is just unfair and unprofessional service.

Excellent food, young atmosphere

Came for a couple of drinks and was served by Holly. She was amazing, very welcoming showed us to a great spot to sit and looked after us while we were there. She is a great asset and made our visit thoroughly enjoyable!

The venue and atmosphere are some of the best in Manchester but for the price point i have had better meals else were but none the less still excellent.

Came for a birthday. We ordered some starters and sides and a couple people had mains. They then came back saying you can’t order starters without a main and it was on the T&C’s. the steak was very very chewy. Not worth the money. The other roast dinners were basic at best. Wouldn’t recommend.

Very unfortunately I found this place being overhyped for what it is. Service was not great at all. We’ve been waiting for over 15 mins just to get water on the table, the waiter was not willing to ask chef to make some changes to a dish, waited for side that has been “dropped on the floor” so the fillet was getting cold, none of the sauces were served until reminded third time about them, never received the salad however been charged for it. Quality of food was good but nothing spectacular. Very unfortunate that a place with such a price tag doesn’t value customer experience

20 Stories Saturday Night I was in a party of 5 people who went to 20 Stories for a meal at about 7.30pm on Saturday 2nd November. The food and service were excellent as usual. However the environment in the restaurant was not to our liking. The atmosphere was that of a chaotic nightclub rather than that of a comfortable restaurant. The music was so loud it was difficult for our party to talk to each other. The bar area and foyer were so crowded it was difficult to get to the toilets. I have previously visited 20 Stories several times but always Monday to Wednesday nights when the restaurant was much less noisy and the experience was much more enjoyable. If you want to eat without the continuous thump, thump, thump of loud electronic music (it never stopped for the 3 hours we were there) and you want to hear the other people at your table then I would avoid 20 Stories on a Saturday night.

We had 3 course meal and drinks and had an amazing time! Got a table near the windows. Then spent the rest of the night outside space behind the bar. I definitely recommend 👌🏾 especially for birthdays and special days.

All was perfect. My husband booked a blackout event and all food was served at candele lights. Nice live music and amazing food.

They couldn’t find my reservation. But they helped our. Order came wrong and our friend waited 10-20 min. Atmosphere is in amazing.

They've forgotten the most important part of a good restaurant is the customer service - I've never experienced such rude people (sort your staff out). They were initially rude to my friend on the phone and then I turned up for a drink before the theatre and they told me I couldn't have another chair from a table (it was empty in there too) and then walked away and left me standing whilst my two friends were sat down. They were just so rude and I couldn't have been nicer. I think they've tried to make it fancy so now they think they're better than their customers 😆 also £20 service charge....for what?!? They can't even reply to people separately they have an automated response ... I'm sorry but this is no 5 star restaurant. GO FOR THE VIEWS GET TAP WATER AND LEAVE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Booked a table for two. Arrived earlier than expected but the friendly staff said wasn't a problem . The view from the 20th floor is incredible and yes ! You can take photos. Menus available were the Al a Carte and the Menu of the day; 2 courses for £29.00 or 3 for £35.00. We chose the Menu of the day: Pan fried salmon and the " flat iron" steak. Our 2nd Menu chose was the " deconstructed cheese cake". The food was cooked to perfection and we'll definitely return. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Stunning views so don't forget your camera.

I visited with friends as part of the start of a birthday celebration. The place is a beautifully designed place and all the team we encountered were friendly and professional. We only visited for drinks as we had reservations elsewhere for dinner. Be aware drinks are on the expensive side 3 drinks are going to set you back £50-£60 pounds. My other feedback would be there is limited seating for drinkers. None the less we enjoyed our visit.

Booked the Private Dining Room for my partner’s 40th Birthday. From enquiry through to the night, Hannah was incredibly supportive and efficient in ensuring the night was planned meticulously. On the evening, we were taken care of by the wonderful Julia who was attentive and engaging. The Private Dining room is a beautiful space with great food to match. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

I want to thank the lovely Florian who made our experience even better, we had a great chat and he helped us out. He is friendly and very professional in the manner he serves people ! The food and the atmosphere was amazing
