Great german themed restaurant. Banging eagles and breakfasts. I do love a good coffee as well. Keep up the hard work all.

A good place for a drink or dinner in Manchester. Spacious, well decorated, with different areas, with a good atmosphere and usually has concerts, shows or DJs at night. The food is delicious. I recommend stopping by if you go to Manchester.

Google stated it was not busy on Tuesday, 23rd April 2024..... I came here and couldn't find a seat. Instead, I found a live band, an awesome atmosphere, and a unique decor.... loved every second of my visit.... too busy enjoying myself to try the food, so I couldn't review that side... recommended for a visit if your new in town!!!!

Immaculate vibes here every day of the week, kunst cabaret last night was amazing, the band has such a great energy together, along with incredible talent. All staff were a delight but I must give a special mention and thank you to Stephanie and Katie who went the extra mile with kindness and care to ensure my brother and I had a wonderful night. Ideally I’d come back every evening, here’s till next time!

Following a birthday dinner nearby, my sister and partner, and my partner, went for a preplanned last drink here. A doorman extremely rudely accused my partner of being drunk (we stood looking confused, was he joking?) but he refused us entry. There were groups of young lads, some falling over, who were being allowed entry around us. Honestly, we're just confused - very sad at the end of a pleasant evening. Update 21 April: the venue replied a full two weeks later and didn't address the issues I let them know about.

Do not ask for an Irish coffee. Everything else is extremely recommended

Bartenders ignore you, takes 20 minutes to get a drink and that’s even AFTER they’ve served everyone you was infront of… too over crowded, live band hit or miss.

Absolutely brilliant night. It was pumping! Great vibe, friendly staff and the music was excellent. We had a great time.

Unpleasant. At 7pm the bouncer took a dislike to and targeted my friend which we suspect was motivated by homophobia. My friend had went outside for a cigarette and at this point was told he was intoxicated and had to leave. At this point my friend was alert, composed and speaking clearly. The only feature standing out was that he was out for a dinner and some drinks to celebrate his upcoming marriage to his partner. Very unpleasant experience and extremely disappointing to see a venue treating gay men like this. The establishment allow and encourage patrons to dance on the tables and wooden benches whilst holding drinks and bottles so it is unclear why our coherent, relaxed friend was asked to leave the establishment when all of this was going on around us without consequence. Not LGBT friendly, avoid.

Superb evening out, we were really impressed with the standard of the food offerings and prices were very reasonable too. Staff so friendly and helpful given how busy the venue was on a Saturday night.

Came here on Weds, a late lunch to celebrate my son's birthday. I am very quick to praise and also, do not hesitate to advise the staff if I am not satisfied. I was 100% satisfied on this ocassion. The food was delicious and hot. The breads and the cheese and bacon pretzel were outstanding. We had some lovely drinks. What stood out though was the service. From the moment we arrived we were looked after in a friendly and professional manner. We were welcomed, shown to our table, had questions answered about the menu and were asked if we wanted to eat or wait a while for the next course. They even presented my son with a huge desert with candles on, which was a complete surprise. The complimentary drinks were yummy too. So good to go to a restaurant and leave feeling fully satisfied with everything. We will be back. Thank you.

Attitude and behaviour of the bouncers/security is absolutely appalling. Hiring misogynistic men on a power trip who will man handle girls half their size for genuinely no reason is a shockingly bad representation of a business/bar. Something seriously wrong here

This place is fantastic. Great vibe, drinks were great. Amaretto Sours were awesome made by the legend Maximus. Would be excited to bring friends here.

I have been coming here for 7 years and I actually have left food reviews for Albert’s in the past but it has been a few times that when I go there on a week day, I have been MASSIVELY over charged. 28£ for a beer and a cocktail is just not right. The management obviously have decided they can charge any amount they want so I thought as a customer leaving this review would be the only way I could let them know they would be losing customers if they continue being THIS greedy.

The BEST rememberable service from the girl with blonde hair and a tiny heart tattoo on her face. I walked up to the bar and was stood behind some blokes, she noticed me and recalled my previous order again without me even speaking, whilst making someone else’s drinks so I didn’t have to wait. She’s top tier, thank you x

Great live music, a lovely warming fire to sit by, food looked great disappointed that we weren't there for food on this occasion as everyone looked like they were enjoying it

Table booked was closed to the door, Door is always open with people entering and leaving. Most uncomfortable as a cold wind was always gusting across the table !

The ups: kinda quirky, very tasty food, live music. The downs: there is nothing much German/ Austrian about the place (apart from pretzels but so what), as food was hummus, falafel, flat breads, meat balls, chicken skewers and sausages (all very nice though). Wine selection ok. Unfortunately VERY loud in between the live music pieces so impossible to talk to other guests. Overall ok but had to go because couldn't tolerate noise.

I have been to Manchester twice from Ireland and absolutely love this place! The staff are excellent, the bar staff are on the ball and the other party goers are great fun! If I get back to Manchester I’ll definitely go again! Treat yourself, get there early, beat the mad rush and have a blast!

Worst experience ever Going there with 10 friends and at 1am going out to smoke, asking if we can smoke outside and bouncer sai yes. 5min after some girl said we are not alowed to come in as is closed. Told her we have drinks inside and our stuff as well as we've been there already. She told us is closed and only 1 person can go in to grab it. Trying to ask why nobody telling us if we go outside we are bot allowed to come back in but She said just take your jacket and GO on a very rude tone. I ask inside for a Manager and one of the staff said she is the manager. Girl came back again and told me is not her problem he been smooking outside and again said take your jacked and get out. Said goodbye to my friends and left and outside I asked the bouncer why nobody telling people you can't come back in if you smoking at that time but we became very angry telling me not to take the piss and go while is making weird face like he is talking to some homeless guy who can't understand his angry behavior when I am just asking a question politely. Never coming back and I do not recomend this place as is not first time the staff are being rude and disrispectful even if they see you are polite with them showing that their brain is not entirely there!

Very disappointed about the customer service. After winning a voucher( at a charity ball) contacted Jen to book a table. No availabilities for the requested dates, however when asked to provide some dates when we could attend, we were just ignored. 3 emails and no reply. Please don't give out vouchers, knowing u cannot provide the service.

Night club or restaurant, please pick one! The food lacks because its 50% nightclub, just a weird atmosphere, won't be visiting again!

I know the matter doesn't seem serious at first, but let me explain. Tonight I got rejected the entrance at the club Albert's shloss by the bouncer because "not allowing single entrance". I am a regular customer and this is the first time it happens to me. I find it ridiculous because we live in a society that is proud to.promote equality against discrimination and then you are not allowed in because "single"? I was smart dressed, black trousers, white shoes, black coat. I went with my girlfriend 2 days ago in very casual clothes and had no issues. I wasn't drunk as for medical reasons I can't drink. I can guarantee you that there was no reason for which he should have denied me entrance except for the fact that I was single or because my foreign accent. I did not even argue with him. The interaction lasted few seconds. As being single is not a protected characteristics and this gives them the possibility to refuse to serve and deny entrance, it is really not nice to do so above all with people that moved from.another country and struggle to.socialise and have to spend a.lot.of.time.alone. Personally, this happened to me only 2 times since I am in Manchester, but other foreign friends reported the same issues in many other occasions. A society that claims to be open and respectful of all differences shouldn't reject someone because "single",.also because other British single have been allowed. I work nearby and I have visited the club, alone, before, many times. I never had issues with other bouncers or was denied entrance. The interesting thing is that drunk people are allowed to enter, which is against the law, as you should not serve alcohol to drunk customers, but single sober foreign people are not allowed to enter?! The bouncer I refer to is a blondish male, short hairs around 40 years old. I am really not happy with what happened and I hope you can report the issue as this is really sad and doesn't help foreigners to interact and bland with local community. I attend many events for internationals and I hear these stories always more often...it is not good. How would you feel if you relocated to a country and you wouldn't be allowed to enter in a cafe because you are alone?!? I understand it is technically not against the law, but the law as Manchester..this can't keep happening..and also from a safety point of view...what is the rationale?.a.sober foreign male.alone is able to cause more issues then a group.of drunk lads?!...

Came in with a group of people on Tuesday and the atmosphere was great. We had a lovely italian wine, beers and spirits and they had a vast choice of all of them. We ordered some food for the table and the garlic bread was delicious.

We spent Saturday afternoon in there and it is a great place with a good ambience. It is difficult to secure a table because it gets busy

Waited over 40 minutes in the queue only to get to the front and be told my partner could not come in because of his shoes. Yet the bouncers let us join the queue and stand there for that long without saying anything? I also had trainers on but they were going to let me in (maybe they’re more lenient towards girls?) and other men in the queue were being let in with trainers. I understand a dress code but why let some in and not others? Nevermind this, the queue was atrocious and clearly they don’t know how to handle things when it’s busy. Wouldn’t have cared about not being allowed in due to trainers if they had told us when they let us join the queue instead of wasting 40 minutes.

Went for my 30th birthday and booked a table weeks in advance. There was a large group of us (my family). We approached the doormen and confirmed we had booked a table and the looks of the ups and downs we got and then my partner to be told that he needs a glass of water!!! He’s been sober for 18 months and said one sentence!!! Although, I had been drinking (of course - we were out in Manchester celebrating!!) I was just shocked at the level of professionalism and the rudeness they had for no reason. I must add that the barman who served us was great! And also agreed with us and had complaints about the door staff. I would never return - I think you seriously need to look at the professional of your door men. They seem to think they own the place. I wouldn’t mind if it was an establishment which wasn’t a loud / fun vibe but the place was out run with 18 year olds who were all more intoxicated than us! We spent over £200 and if this wasn’t booked for a special occasion after the doorman’s behaviour I wouldn’t have gone in.

We had an exceptional meal for my dads birthday The Sunday roast was amazing especially the no nut roast and pork knuckle Stafff were fabulous especially vinessa who is an exceptional waitress and a credit to your staff .. Thankyou 👍🏻 John who was front of house manager this visit and the last one, that me, my husband and son came proceeded with the same exceptional standards and we can’t wait to visit again

I have been there many times and felt like I was not welcome, this time I was not allowed in because I was a man and they said no and I could not complain so they said find somewhere else bare in mind I just finished my work

I organised this surprise party 5months ago at our favourite place of Albert's Schloss, We had a table for 20 friends, Friends arrived at 7:15 and were able to sit at the table straight away, my wife and I arrived 5mis later to be greeted by John and shown to our table. we had choice of three menus to pick from which was chosen before the night and all details was sent via email weeks in advance so we knew every would get what they had asked for. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks were served pretty quick. Schloss even gave us 20 shots served on a ski(see pics) on the Haus. I can honestly say that every one had a great night out. A great big thanks go to our server who kept everyones drinks topped up TOBY & who played an excellent role in a excellent night. To the door staff who sorted out a problem my daughter was having with a group of idiots on another table and who ejected them straight away The sales staff that I was communicating with over the months I was sorting the party with, I was told that individual couples could pay for their own drinks only to be told on the night that was not an option. I also insisted with them to pass the list of meals I had order to the chef then he would know how meals and the different meals we required on the night, so there would not be any disappointed guests within our party when food is not available!! we would book a party again at Albert's Schloss because of the menu range, entertainment and the excellent atmosphere.

Fantastic Sunday lunch! We visited last Sunday and had the best time, great food and fantastic atmosphere with live music. We had such a brilliant afternoon here with friends, can’t wait to go back.

The door staff do not understand when people are happy and not drunk, absolute idiots!! People inside were drunk standing up on tables completely pissed and yet they were stopping happy people coming in. They need to be retrained, especially the ginger guy. Poor customer service will recommend people come in here completely sober, fools.

What an absolute blast ! Greg was our server and was superb , so friendly and warm . We were celebrating a friends birthday and he made sure it was excellent . Fabulous entertainment , a disco toilet and a DJ alongside eggs and pancakes what wasn’t to love ?!

No air force, let 3 straight couples in after they refused us as I stood and waited for a taxi. Pub operator myself, homophobic, judgemental doorstaff poorly representing this venue.

What a fantastic place to be on a Sunday night. Never felt so safe in a club, security so attentive and on top of there game. Never witnessed door staff treat people with such respect and dignity, so kind and friendly and really looked after our friend who had way too much to drink, couldn’t have done enough for us. Shame theres not more security like this. Defiantly be back. 💖💖

Great music all night , including an amazing live cover band. 70s- 2000s. Busy but loads of seating space, everyone up and dancing, really great atmosphere.

Tasty breakfast croissant with Cumberland sausage. Americano very weak. A long wait for food. A bit too noisy but just personal taste (I'm not a youngster anymore!).

Due to a long old day at A&E with my Mother. I thought my partner and I deserved a nice meal. I have walked past Albert Schloss place many times and said we needed to give it a try. Doorman would not let my partner in as he looked like he had to much to drink. I can honestly say neither of us had any alcohol. We ended up next door at peaky blinders and highly recommend it. Nice staff, doorstaff and excellent food.

Christian was our server and was very attentive but not intrusive. I am a disabled diner, and nothing was too much trouble for him. A credit to the company. Food was lovely, with a huge selection of drinks and all thoroughly enjoyed by us. I would have very much liked to have bought a selection of goods from the bakery, which looked delicious, but none of the goods were covered with even a cloche, so decided to avoid. Would definitely recommend

Visited Albert Shloss on a Monday with friends. The food was nice better than expected but the atmosphere was lacking as the music was blasting really loud.That's on Monday night too.I was struggling to hear what my friends were saying. What's more by 9 p.m the music got even louder so loud that we decided to leave. We felt like we were in a night club? Sadly won't be back.

They were fantastic with my dietry requirements. Having ceoliac disease is always a worry eating out and they were so clear with it all, and were continually checking with the kitchen and staff to ensure all was well. Will definitely return, as food was delicious too.

Dylan was absolutely incredible. During our drinks a solo man approached us to ask to share a bottle of whisky (clearly down to policy it must be shared between a group). Dylan ensured this man was not bothering us and checked in multiple times throughout our evening to make sure we were safe and looked after. I’ve never had such a wonderful person ensure my safety in any venue. Thank you Dylan 💖

Went here for breakfast, absolutely incredible, the breakfast food here is astounding and the atmosphere is even more extraordinary, a rustic, steam punk themed restaurant and bar bedazzled with brickwork, lacquered wood and copper pipes, maintained throughout the establishment. Best looking restaurant in all of manchester, with equally as wonderful food.

Choosing Albert's Schloss for our Friday night pre-dinner drinks, the busy atmosphere met our expectations. Fortunately, we secured a bar seat without issues, but it's wise to book early for guaranteed seating. The large bar layout ensures a comfortable experience without interference from others ordering around you. The staff were friendly and worked well at serving everyone at the bar quickly. The après-themed setting added a fun element, with everything worked with the theme. The happy hour was fantastic, I enjoyed the elderflower spritz.

It was confusing to be denied entry because i am on my own. I am working opposite this place and never had issues coming in to have a drink after work. Security needs to be dismissed.

Walked in around 11:30, we were too late for breakfast but were told we could be seated for lunch at 12. The person at the computer said there was no need to leave a name, there was plenty of space then sent us to the bar with a lunch menu. At around 12:10, we asked again at computer (albeit it was a different person) and we were told there would be a further 30 minute wait. There were empty tables without reserved signs on them so we were pretty frustrated and left. It really just seemed like a way to create faux demand for tables
