Albert's Schloss in Manchester

Bouncers are on a massive power trip! We went to 1 pub before coming here and the bouncer wouldn’t let me in because I didn’t know the name of the pub we were in before, genuinely just didn’t know 🤣. Apparently I was too drunk, all I’d done was get my ID out of my bag like everyone else 🤣. We went somewhere else for about an hour, were I didn’t even have anything to drink, went back and he said “yeah you’re still not coming in”, like why target one person for no reason, he was so rude. This has fully made me never want to go back, as it made me feel so uncomfortable that he was singling me out out of our whole group.

Got kicked out for dancing. A dancer assumed we were mocking them because we unknowingly did a dance that they thought was mocking them. No hate towards the bouncers whatsoever because they agreed it was stupid but they had no control of the situation. They handled it correctly they didn’t rush us out or do it embarrassingly, they pulled us to the side and explained the situation. The dancer didn’t even have had the decency to have a discussion where we could have explained what happened. Instead they stood on the table and swore at us.

La cola para las bebidas era larga, sin suficiente personal del bar, una pinta de pilsner y media pinta de sidra era £ 12. 30 . Cuando consulté el precio me dijeron que cuando la música en vivo comienza hay un recargo añadido de £ 1 por bebida. Me señalaron a una pequeña sección donde esta política se anota en el menú de bebidas, me pregunto cuántas personas leen el menú antes de pedir una bebida? Espero que los músicos reciban un salario justo, pero esto debería estar incluido en el precio y no añadido como una forma de precio dinámico. No entré a escuchar música, fui a tomar unas cervezas. Realmente necesitan ser más transparentes con esta política, primera vez que me piden que pague un recargo por cada bebida.

Me and a couple of friends came for a girls day out lunch. Atmosphere was great and food was wonderful. Our waitress April was great. She was very attentive but also lovely and bubbly in her approach to us - just the right balance! We weren't sat waiting around for service but she was by no means overbearing. She recommended us drinks depending on what we told her we liked. 10/10!

I was on a work night out I had two drinks at tin pin bowling at the Printeorks. The bouncer said I was too drink which I was not and he said caimeback later. So went to tow other bars on the same street who were fine with me Dirty martini bar and revolution de Cuba and enemy back and the bouncer was not letting me in. I did not kick up fuse to ruin the night for my work colleagues. I do bar work I expected better from a venue such as yourselves I won’t be going there again. If I was wasted I would understand but I was not think your doorman had a dislike to me…..

My boyfriend and I visited Albert’s Schloss Manchester for a date night and received exceptional service from our waitress April throughout the evening. She was incredibly attentive and made us feel so welcome, which was especially appreciated as it was our first time in Manchester. April’s genuine hospitality and in-depth knowledge of the menu made all the difference - she truly elevated our experience! It was a memorable night, and we’re already planning our return!

Perfect brunch, venue, atmosphere. Sunday morning drag dj plays chilled requests. No queue to wait. Friendly servers. Full veg breakfast super tasty.

Entramos a tomar unas copas y nos fuimos cubiertos de cerveza, estalló una pelea y nos tiraron copas por todas partes, la seguridad las quitó por ahí el pelo y no ofreció disculpas, nuestras copas no fueron reemplazadas y no nos ofrecieron tranquilidad, nos fuimos y hablé con el jefe de seguridad que no ofreció disculpas solo esquivar la arrogancia, al ser una unidad grande trabaja en mocos de calle no un lugar respetable como AS, debe sentirse seguro y protegido en sus alrededores, realmente decepcionado ya que visitamos regularmente

Typical German food and drinks in the center of Manchester! Really loved!

We've been to Albert's Schloss before and the food was good but on our latest visit the food was so unbelievably bad. We shared a fondue to start which was alright and it is why it gets 2* for food as this was the only food we had between us that we thought tasted good. I had the tyrolean schnitzel because I'd seen the Instagram video of them making it and it looked amazing, it was absolutely loaded with nduja and cheese but unfortunately what was served up did not reflect that video at all, there was hardly any nduja and the nduja that was on it was tasteless. It was the singularly most bland food I have ever eaten and that includes the two weeks of hospital food I endured last year. All you could taste was oil, no salt, no seasoning, just oil. The spaghetti that came with it was also bland and the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. My friend had the baron burger and that was also bland and disappointing, the chips were limp and the gravy was like brown water. We probably should have cut our losses there but we had dessert and that also disappointed us. My sticky toffee pudding was so so dry and so was my friends strudel, his vanilla sauce had also split too. I hate complaining in restaurants so I don't, I just make a mental note to not come back. The waitress was nice, really friendly and efficient but she didn't question the amount of food left on the plates. Maybe just a bad night but at over £100 for two of us we won't risk a return.

L’accesso al locale è controllato e contingentato: chiare le regole sul dress-code e sul numero massimo; ciò consente a chi entra di stare bene. L’immensa sala è suddivisa in due spazi, il primo con un fornitissimo bar e un palco per gli spettacoli che sono almeno due per sera; il secondo destinato a ristorante cui si accede previa preventiva prenotazione o lista d’attesa secondo ordine d’arrivo. Piatti gustosi con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Ma il punto di forza è la spensieratezza della gente e la facilità nella socializzazione. Lo consiglio fortemente. Bravi!

Food tasty, a bit over priced for what it is. Depends when you go to eat, based on how rowdy it will be - plan ahead. Went back to pop in for a drink one evening and the “bouncers” wouldn’t let me in because I was simply holding - not wearing - a hoodie for the walk home after. Kinda pretentious and a bit flashy. Lots of people there for Instagram-related reasons. Better options available with as comparable quality food available elsewhere for cheaper with faster more personable service, however when it’s quieter atmosphere great and food nice. That said, the drag shows are great.

Nightclub come restaurant. Certainly fun, good food and drinks but not a place for quiet romantic dates (unless you don’t want to speak to your date - then it’s perfect!). Our server, an Italian lady, was wonderful and made us feel very special. Thank you.

I have been to this place a few times and the staff are great however a big shout out must go to the door staff and security. They have to deal with so many people,as the place is always a guarantee that it will be busy, but there is rarely any trouble as they filter the bad ones out before they even get into the bar . And once anyone starts trouble inside they are dealt with very professionally. I never feel I need to keep looking over my shoulder for any trouble which means I can really concentrate on just enjoying my night . Bar staff are quick and friendly. My first visit to this venue ,and i wasnt disapointed at all. The drinks & food menus was awesome, The atmosphere was relaxed and chilled although busy.I would definately recommend this place, as the staff and management go above and beyond to make your visit enjoyable with their extensive knowledge of the food and cocktails they serve . A must visit when in manchester 👌🏽

Be careful when paying. Before presenting your card, the card machine asks if you would like to add a tip. I saw the bartender add a tip on to everyone's order before showing the customer. I'm not against tipping, but this behavior is not acceptable

£41 for 3 drinks !!! The manager said every time the band is on you pay an extra £1 per drink. Not anywhere on the price list does this state it. I spoke with a camp gentleman with all Blonde hair (Chris ) A ridiculous rule and is a joke of a policy ! £41 for a round is a absolute joke

The food is really good but the music is extremely loud...I need to go to the doctor to analyse my tinnitus, it's really damaged after a couple of hours inside this place, do never enter there without ear protection. They don't realise it probably because they work there every night but it's really hard to handle a conversation or even hear anything...apart from being extremely dangerous for the ears, I won't be surprised if this place is prosecuted soon, the level and volume of the sound is totally out of normality

It was the best dog friendly restaurant in Manchester and staff were nice, there was a dog playing fetch the straw and staff didn’t tell them off, food was amazing and reasonably priced. Defo going back there every time we in Manchester.

Great place to meet up ahead of a cinema visit.

My third visit here and everytime I've had excellent service and food. The staff are really good at handling everything and food was served in pretty quick time. As a wheelchair user, on one midweek visit my friend had to go inside to inform the staff I had arrived - steps on front entrance, on a Saturday visit the security outside used their radio. Wheelchair acessible entrance is a few metres from main entrance, short steep ramp and then you go short distance through backroom area into main restaurant. Large clean acessible toilet for manual/electric chair.

The staff are impeccably trained, with professionals like Antonio Sánchez, a Spanish guy who made us feel right at home. Absolutely 10/10 The Albert Schloss does not need a letter of introduction, it is without a doubt the best place to spend the day in all of Manchester and perhaps also in the rest of the major cities in England. A unique environment, measured in detail. High quality food, live shows, all kinds of cocktails and drinks, music in all its splendor. The staff is trained to perfection and has professionals like Antonio Sánchez, a Spanish guy who treated us as if we were at home. Without a doubt a 10/10.

Too busy,dangerous letting too many people in...

Food and drinks were alright. Not too unreasonably priced either considering it's in the center. The atmosphere was great. The only issue I had was it was way too loud to easily have a conversation between the group I was in. But it's hardly the fault of the venue.

Such a great atmosphere. We tried the toasted chicken and avocado sandwich. It was delicious. Our server was friendly and helpful and managed to serve us really quickly as we had a deadline. We went back for drinks in the evening obviously more crowded but still a great atmosphere and good service.

Absolutely wonderful venue visited yesterday celebrating my daughter’s 25th birthday. Was there around 8 o’clock until 10:30pm. Drinks were great value for money and overall experience was fantastic. Wonderful and pleasant atmosphere, lovely staff, doorman Jamie was fantastic as were not from Manchester he advised us places to go and where to get a taxi from. Total credit to the venue and extremely helpful! Will 100% be returning when we are next visiting Manchester 🙂

I am appalled at with the bouncers, group of 15 people and they would not allow one lady in whom was not intoxicated and had drank less alcohol then every other group member. They blatantly singed her out, it was disrespectful to watch I would never go here again.

Visually beautiful rustic modern. We really liked it. We were there at lunchtime and tried a few beers. Evenings turn into party invites. With live music, lots of dancing. Whether it was a quiet lunchtime or a party in the evening drinking beer, we really enjoyed both.

Stumbled across this place as the eatery we wanted to visit had queues in the street. We were not disappointed. Large bar/ restaurant. We had brunch which was lovely. Very tasty reasonably priced. Have a Garibaldi to start your day!!!! That’s a cocktail by the way!! Staff were friendly and attentive. Would head back here without doubt.

Absolutely perfect birthday visit. My partner and I had a gig next door so booked a table for food and drinks before hand and so glad we did! Our service from Greg was fantastic he really went above and beyond after finding out it was a birthday we were visiting for. We even had a round of drinks, shots and dessert on the house. Food itself was sensational I had the Cordon Bleu schnitzel and having lived in Germany myself it is easily as good as the real deal. The cocktails were fabulous and I want to bottle the Black Cherry Kaiser to take home! Thank you for making the evening so special.

Fantastic customer service, food, and entertainment from Alberts Schloss. I had previously visited for a New Year’s Eve event and wasn’t thrilled with it, however the team more than made up for it on my most recent visit. Me and my wife really enjoyed everything about our most recent visit and we won’t hesitate to return next time we’re in Manchester. The French onion soup in particular was excellent. Many thanks to the team.

Was very concerned about the fact that a dog was in there, the whole time I felt very uncomfortable about its presence and didnt enjoy my food as the whole time I thought its hair would be in my food but also didnt mention anything because if it was there I assumed the restaurant allowed it. Ate my food (not even half for the reason mentioned above) paid and left as soon as I could. Do Health & Safety regulations even allow it?

We recently visited Albert’s Schloss and had a great time overall. The ambience was fantastic—vibrant, lively, and perfect for a fun night out. The decor and atmosphere really added to the experience, making it a great place to unwind. However, the service at the bar was quite slow. While we understand it can get busy, the bartenders took a long time to serve drinks, and one of them seemed a bit rude at times. A little more efficiency and friendliness would have made the experience even better. That said, the rest of the evening was enjoyable. The music, the crowd, and the overall vibe of the place were spot on. With some improvements in bar service, it would be an excellent spot for a night out.

We came for breakfast and April was AMAZING! I am gluten free and sometimes struggle to feel confident that my food is safe. April knew exactly what was gluten free and made me feel very comfortable. The food was brilliant!

Truly one oft he worst burgers i have ever had. Thick, cheap over cooked with a terrible dry bun. In an age where a good burger is so easy to do, this was a disgrace. Chips were terrible too. Awful meal. Good service and nice bar. Beer was good. But will never eat here again.

Myself and husband were in Manchester on Tuesday (25th) Feb, and decided to pop in here after a meal. We was unaware of the cabaret show they have on a Tues evening which is apparently every week, it was fantastic. The atmosphere was brilliant, even more impressive that it was a Tuesday night and seems the only busy place around. Prices were about right for Manchester. Very nice barstaff, great service. The show was great fun too. After reading the reviews I must also add that the doormen whilst looking a little intimidating upon entry were also very nice, welcoming, professional and friendly to chat too. Especially the 2 on the front door, 1 ginger and 1 shorter with dark hair. Whilst smoking outside we also witnessed them having to deal with a very abusive man, the one called lytrell dealt with this in a fantastic manner. Will definitely be coming back here again we loved it.

What a fab Saturday night at Albert Schloss! We walked in for a quick drink and somehow ended up staying waaay longer than we intended. This place just sucks you in with its irresistible vibe and insane energy. But the real star of the night? Tara behind the bar! She was an absolute QUEEN—keeping the drinks coming (and trust me, they were delicious!) while making us feel like we were at the best party in town. Seriously, Tara made it a night we didn’t want to end! Can’t wait to be back for more fabulous fun!!

Great selection of food and drinks, a must visit while in Manchester

Fantastic restaurant with shockingly good food and great friendly service with a good atmosphere notably also. But in any case the food is delicious and well cooked, with very generous portions! The shweinshaxe was great (and despite being huge somehow smaller than I’ve had in Germany) and the schnitzel was perfectly done too. As a garlic fan, the spätzle was of course a hit. Atmosphere is lively and interesting as well as having great service means that it is basically always a winner (in any of the few locations) I strongly recommend for pretty much any relaxed event.

The atmosphere is superb. Music is a bit loud, but maybe I'm getting old 🤔

Amazing venue and 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night! I visited last Friday with some work mates and the live music was fantastic, the drinks were spot on, and the atmosphere was buzzing from start to finish. A huge shout-out to the bar staff, who were all amazing - especially Tara! Her energy was infectious, she kept us laughing all night, and truly made the experience even better (not least because of her awesome makeup)!
