Wouldn’t let my dad in with me as a 21 year old girl because my dad was “ too drunk “ but would let me In by myself , sad by the overall service as they have let my dad and me in before but this time left my dad to walk back by himself but would happily let me in by myself

Jamie and latrell are amazing door staff and and happily keep me safe waiting for Ubers they’re so kind and funny and help me keep rate whilst waiting definitely recconwnr this bar and their door staff for the fact of safety and comfort

It's visually beautiful, rustic and modern. We really liked it. We were there at lunch and tried a few beers. In the evening, it transforms into a party place. With live music and lots of dancing, we enjoyed both the quiet beer at lunch and the party in the evening.

Recently visited and it was a great experience. The lively atmosphere and stylish décor make it a fantastic spot for drinks. The service was friendly, and the overall vibe was fun and welcoming.

Came with a bunch of girl mates - got told I was too drunk to come in when I'd had a few cans at most. Clearly just trying to siphon in as many girls as possible. Embarrassing place.

Stumbled across this place as the eatery we wanted to visit had queues in the street. We were not disappointed. Large bar/ restaurant. We had brunch which was lovely. Very tasty reasonably priced. Have a Garibaldi to start your day!!!! That’s a cocktail by the way!! Staff were friendly and attentive. Would head back here without doubt.

April Drinks Host - I had the pleasure of visiting Albert’s Schloss in Manchester and was fortunate enough to be served by an absolutely outstanding Drinks Host. From the moment I arrived, she was engaging, professional, and incredibly attentive, making sure that every aspect of the experience was top-notch. She struck the perfect balance between being friendly and efficient, always on hand when needed but never intrusive. Her knowledge of the drinks menu was impressive, and she made fantastic recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. Throughout the evening, she maintained a warm and welcoming attitude, making every guest feel valued. It’s rare to come across service of this calibre, and she is a true credit to the team at Albert’s Schloss. I hope her efforts are recognised—because service like this is what makes a great venue truly exceptional. Highly recommend visiting and experiencing this level of hospitality firsthand!

Classy bar with great atmosphere amazing selection of drinks

Absolutely perfect birthday visit. My partner and I had a gig next door so booked a table for food and drinks before hand and so glad we did! Our service from Greg was fantastic he really went above and beyond after finding out it was a birthday we were visiting for. We even had a round of drinks, shots and dessert on the house. Food itself was sensational I had the Cordon Bleu schnitzel and having lived in Germany myself it is easily as good as the real deal. The cocktails were fabulous and I want to bottle the Black Cherry Kaiser to take home! Thank you for making the evening so special.

Fantastic customer service, food, and entertainment from Alberts Schloss. I had previously visited for a New Year’s Eve event and wasn’t thrilled with it, however the team more than made up for it on my most recent visit. Me and my wife really enjoyed everything about our most recent visit and we won’t hesitate to return next time we’re in Manchester. The French onion soup in particular was excellent. Many thanks to the team.

Was very concerned about the fact that a dog was in there, the whole time I felt very uncomfortable about its presence and didnt enjoy my food as the whole time I thought its hair would be in my food but also didnt mention anything because if it was there I assumed the restaurant allowed it. Ate my food (not even half for the reason mentioned above) paid and left as soon as I could. Do Health & Safety regulations even allow it?

We recently visited Albert’s Schloss and had a great time overall. The ambience was fantastic—vibrant, lively, and perfect for a fun night out. The decor and atmosphere really added to the experience, making it a great place to unwind. However, the service at the bar was quite slow. While we understand it can get busy, the bartenders took a long time to serve drinks, and one of them seemed a bit rude at times. A little more efficiency and friendliness would have made the experience even better. That said, the rest of the evening was enjoyable. The music, the crowd, and the overall vibe of the place were spot on. With some improvements in bar service, it would be an excellent spot for a night out.

We came for breakfast and April was AMAZING! I am gluten free and sometimes struggle to feel confident that my food is safe. April knew exactly what was gluten free and made me feel very comfortable. The food was brilliant!

Truly one oft he worst burgers i have ever had. Thick, cheap over cooked with a terrible dry bun. In an age where a good burger is so easy to do, this was a disgrace. Chips were terrible too. Awful meal. Good service and nice bar. Beer was good. But will never eat here again.

What a fab Saturday night at Albert Schloss! We walked in for a quick drink and somehow ended up staying waaay longer than we intended. This place just sucks you in with its irresistible vibe and insane energy. But the real star of the night? Tara behind the bar! She was an absolute QUEEN—keeping the drinks coming (and trust me, they were delicious!) while making us feel like we were at the best party in town. Seriously, Tara made it a night we didn’t want to end! Can’t wait to be back for more fabulous fun!!

Myself and husband were in Manchester on Tuesday (25th) Feb, and decided to pop in here after a meal. We was unaware of the cabaret show they have on a Tues evening which is apparently every week, it was fantastic. The atmosphere was brilliant, even more impressive that it was a Tuesday night and seems the only busy place around. Prices were about right for Manchester. Very nice barstaff, great service. The show was great fun too. After reading the reviews I must also add that the doormen whilst looking a little intimidating upon entry were also very nice, welcoming, professional and friendly to chat too. Especially the 2 on the front door, 1 ginger and 1 shorter with dark hair. Whilst smoking outside we also witnessed them having to deal with a very abusive man, the one called lytrell dealt with this in a fantastic manner. Will definitely be coming back here again we loved it.

Great selection of food and drinks, a must visit while in Manchester

Fantastic restaurant with shockingly good food and great friendly service with a good atmosphere notably also. But in any case the food is delicious and well cooked, with very generous portions! The shweinshaxe was great (and despite being huge somehow smaller than I’ve had in Germany) and the schnitzel was perfectly done too. As a garlic fan, the spätzle was of course a hit. Atmosphere is lively and interesting as well as having great service means that it is basically always a winner (in any of the few locations) I strongly recommend for pretty much any relaxed event.

Amazing venue and 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night! I visited last Friday with some work mates and the live music was fantastic, the drinks were spot on, and the atmosphere was buzzing from start to finish. A huge shout-out to the bar staff, who were all amazing - especially Tara! Her energy was infectious, she kept us laughing all night, and truly made the experience even better (not least because of her awesome makeup)!

I had a token for a free breakfast and hot drink and went with the expecatation that there must be a hidden catch. However there wasn't - I enjoyed a latte, orange juice and a delicious chocolate orange muffin which I can highly recommend. Although I didn't have one, the cooked breakfasts looked amazing. The service was excellent and the atmosphere relaxing.

Great place for a drink, good music.

Absolutely disgusting behavior from the staff here (pictures attached). The doormen physically attacked me, pushing me onto cars and into the road, all while targeting me for simply being a pretty ethnic woman. Attacked with such force my shoe broke. When I tried to report it, the managers defended their behavior and fabricated lies and excuses instead of holding them accountable. This place clearly has no respect for women’s safety. Avoid at all costs if you value your well-being. Very scatty and cheap and better places to go in this world.

The clientele that seems to be allowed to enter seems to have changed over the year or so...I can't be too enthusiastic about the change but I understand that the security staff are now allowing in a different demographic of folk who make the place feel like a slightly unsophisticated meat market.

Wow... our absolutely best ever bar in Manchester

The bouncer here denied me entry due to me wearing a jumper and trousers. He was dismissive and rude - it ruined my evening making me feel inadequate because I hadn’t ’dressed up’ on a Wednesday night where it was 3 degrees outside. For context, I’m 31 and have never been turned away from a bar based on my clothing. I’d just come from blues kitchen dressed like this too, with no issues. However having read the other reviews on the bouncers here, it seems they turn women away a lot for all sorts of reasons that don’t seem to make sense (such as saying someone’s drunk when they’re sober). I’d like someone from management to contact me about this because it sounds as though they have discrimanotory employees who are left unchecked, making people feel insecure and less than, simply for wanting to enter a bar. I’d recommend avoiding this place if you don’t want someone in a position of ‘authority’ making their opinion a reason to curtail your night and your confidence.

Food was impeccable!! From starters to dessert the food was top notch! Our server was very kind and was willing to help with whatever queries we had. She was very chatty and engaged with our group well. The atmosphere is phenomenal with their live performances and even the music on the speakers in between. Their drinks menu is also great with a wide selection of international beers and very tasty cocktails. Would definitely recommend

The Ultimate Date Night Spot in Manchester! If you're looking for the perfect place to impress your other half, this is it! My boyfriend and I popped in for food last night, and wow—the service was top-notch! We went for the Fondue, which was pure, melty, cheesy heaven—exactly what we needed to warm up on a chilly evening! We were having such a great time that we couldn’t resist heading to the bar for a few drinks, and we’re so glad we did! The atmosphere was buzzing, the vibe was unique, and the staff? Absolutely amazing. A special shout-out to our bartender (pretty sure her name was Tara or Zara—she had some serious eyeliner) who kept us entertained and made our night even more fun. I was visiting my friends in Manchester last night and decided to pop into Albert schloss, it was so fun and the live music was great. I was served by Tara on the bar who was so fun and friendly. My friends may have found their new favourite bar as I will be returning every time I’m in Manchester

Ordered a Hofbrau beer, it was cloudy slightly vinegary I explained to bar man it wasn't right. I didn't want to be that guy but had just been to hofbrau haus in munich, I was told it was supposed to be cloudy not sure if that was a manchester joke. Shame I couldn't just be given a fresh beer as we didn't end up ordering food because of it and probably won't return now

Incredible night our, fantastic entertainment.

Place was so packed you can't move without touching people. Food was ok, but not really worth the price. Dining area was squashed into the main area so you're eating food with people constantly banging against you. Music was so loud we were having to text each other to talk. Was a good night, but I wouldn't go again from choice.

Called in here a couple of times when staying in Manchester this weekend. Beautiful looking bar and the staff were very helpful on the beer selection. Was gonna call back in on Sunday night but the place was packed as there was live music on. If in the area make time for a beer.

Lovely cocktails I can’t remember what mine was called but I asked the lovely bar staff for the most popular, they are reasonable prices too! if you want to sit your gonna have to book but the atmosphere was great and downstairs by the toilets is a cheeky Photo Booth which was great fun and only £1 for 3 pictures!

This place has really good service. Food is always good. The love shows and music are always enjoyable however it does get extremely busy here. During a night it can be a bit like sardines. Door staff are always very nice

As expected this is an awesome experience coming here. Very busy but a lot of bar staff churn through the work. To really experience you need to book a table and have dinner there. May even spot a celebrity or 2 if you’re lucky!!

Good atmosphere and food. Shame about the wait for a table even after booking (for two people) whilst watching other couples without a booking be accompanied straight to a table so seemed to have been forgotten about.

They advertise 7 days of entertainment but when we got there for a birthday they had no entertainment on. About 70 people in at 9pm and they said it’s a bit quiet. Very disappointed

Quick service and friendly atmosphere

Today, February 2nd, I had the worst experience in a club I've ever had. We flew to Manchester with friends to see a football match. After ordering a beer, my friends went to the toilet. While I was dancing alone, two security guards came up to me and said that they had to talk to me outside. I asked why, but then respectfully went outside with them. When we arrived, one of them claimed that he had apparently seen me blowing something up my nose. After I grinned, as I've never done anything like that in my life, I replied that I've never done that. Then they both said that I should have a nice evening and that this one was over. I was shocked. After I realized what had happened, I spoke to security guards outside and explained the situation to them in a very respectful manner. In the end, my jacket and all my friends were still inside. Unfortunately, I got feedback from three different people that they didn't have time at the moment. They suddenly had time for drunk people. After that, in my helplessness, I contacted the police - but they also had better things to do. I have never seen such disrespectful employees. Luckily, my friends were able to get my jacket. They couldn't really enjoy the evening then. But it remains a shameful experience that will always stay with me. Unfortunately in a negative way. If I had been told that I didn't fit the picture, I would have been fine with it, but I don't see the point in throwing me out for no reason because they think I'm alone. Making up accusations just makes it worse. It also felt very discriminatory, which is why I will take legal action when I get back to Switzerland. It is important to me that other people learn from this experience and avoid this club. I can't recommend it at all.

I was here for dinner and thought the food was lovely with good beers and fun atmosphere. Essentially, it is a mini German/Austrian bierhaus in the middle of Manchester. Solid. I got the pretzel (so nice for starter/snack) and schnitzel with pasta!

Excellent lunch here with a slight Austrian 🇦🇹 theme , with Austrian beer. Very theatrical setting , good fun and friendly, helpful and efficient service from ' king John ' .

I just had a beer. But the place is fantastic. A giant bar, great interior and packed with people. Feels a bit like a afterski bar.

It's very expensive but has a good atmosphere even midweek.

Possibly the best pub in Manchester. Definitely the best beer lineup in Manchester. They have some seriously fantastic beers in this place, from the Czech tank beer pilsner urquell to German pauliner and Austrian stigl. You will not be disappointed. I opted for the short rib burger on sourdough with skin on fries and brisket gravy to dip in. It was possibly the best burger I ever had. Credit to the manager for making this happen for me as it was an off the menu request. Although with how the Germans like their sourdough, it should possibly be on the menu. We will be back. (Again)

Mistakes happen it’s how you deal with them. We were a group of 8 coming in for Sunday breakfast in January, staff were great and very attentive but somehow the order got mixed up and items missed. They immediately came up owned the mistake and stated how it would be rectified before we even knew what had happened. Very refreshing and little fuss and the food when it came was superb which we all enjoyed and would definitely visit again. Well done Team well handled 👍

We were visiting Manchester for the day, and had never heard of Albert Schloss. We were looking for somewhere to lunch, and this place looked really interesting. It was incredible!! we both love Negroni cocktails and so I ordered a couple. They were made with care, and were probably the best we never had anywhere! The meals were excellent, and we had for dessert, some strudel and some crème brûlée (or a “German” version of it). Excellent ! When it came to get the bill for some reason, we don’t really understand the desserts had been deleted from the bill! Our server said they were complimentary! We naturally accepted! Albert Schloss is a great place to be highly recommended!

Avoid for Sunday lunch. Food cold and when you tell them roast potatoes come back like bullets. Staff nice and very polite. Most definitely can't cook Sunday dinner

Don’t tell them you’re a stag or hen party or you won’t be allowed through the door. The venue cancelled our booking as soon as I mentioned we were in Manchester for the weekend celebrating a hen do. I absolutely understand the need to enforce no fancy dress, hen/stag party games, props etc, however forbidding a group of friends to make a booking for drinks and dancing, just because the purpose of their weekend is to celebrate a friend getting married, makes no sense. Had I have told you we were attending for a birthday celebration, you would have been none the wiser which makes this rule utterly pointless.

To the barman who gave us complimentary wine thank you so much you abosolutly made our night the best night ever we are on holiday and you made our holiday amazing and the atmosphere is great too so thanks so much for the great service we really appreciate it so much!!!!!! Thank you again x

A very pleasant atmosphere, within walking distance of Manchester city center. A pleasant environment. Quiet on weekdays. There are fun and live music performances. He has a polite team. Very hygienic. If you go on a weekday, you are likely to find a place by the fire.

Great dog friendly venue. Tasty food, good portions, helpful friendly staff. Make sure you book for a Saturday afternoon though!

Treated Unfairly and Felt Unsafe Albert’s Schloss was once a place I looked forward to visiting for its live music and vibrant atmosphere, but my recent experiences left me feeling harassed, unsafe, and ultimately treated as if I was the problem when I was the victim. On one occasion, I was persistently harassed by an individual who repeatedly invaded my personal space and, shockingly, forcibly kissed me on the cheek without my consent. This was an incredibly inappropriate and violating experience. When I expressed my discomfort, I was dismissed rather than supported. On another visit, a group of patrons near me was relentlessly rude and invasive. Despite my best efforts to de-escalate the situation and move away, their behaviour continued. I felt deeply uncomfortable as they pushed into my space and tried to provoke a reaction. Yet, instead of addressing their inappropriate behaviour, I was approached by security and told to leave the venue. This left me feeling humiliated and unfairly blamed for a situation where I was clearly the victim. Albert’s Schloss has always had great staff and talented performers, but these experiences were a stark contrast to the safe, welcoming environment I once appreciated. I hope management takes these incidents seriously, ensuring that no other guest is left feeling harassed or treated unjustly. No one should have to endure such experiences in a place meant for enjoyment. Thank you, Monika, for taking the time to investigate this matter thoroughly. I appreciate your professionalism and the effort Albert's Schloss is putting into ensuring guest safety and resolving the situation. I have updated my review accordingly and will check my email for further updates on the resolution. I am hopeful that this matter will be resolved in the best way possible for all parties involved. I didn't have much expectations of the food at Albert's Schloss since I've only ever been for drinks, but I was positively surprised by their Full English Breakfast! It was very well seasoned and tasted nicer than a standard English Breakfast. I also went on a Sunday morning (around 11am/12noon) and would recommend booking ahead of time as they were very busy!
