On business trip .Happened up this place. Highly recommend .Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Service was above and beyond particularly from Eddie.Very personal touch!!!Thanks

I have been coming here for decades and the food, service and atmosphere have always been great. After my last visit the only thing I have to say is that the mixed mezi for two was not upto its usual standards. You usually get at least 3/4 dips vine leaves and meatballs which were all missing this time and with just one dip of hummus didn’t justify the price of £17.95. The mains were spot on as usual.

Nothing special TBH, just your typical Turkish food, there are much better places in Manchester for Turkish food. You're paying more for the location. Service was a bit sketchy but it was a busy Saturday night to be fair and the food was served very quickly.

The only good thing here is the location of the restaurant, everything else is very bad, it has nothing to do with Turkish cuisine, do not go there.

The food was nice but the only annoying things Wittrss will keep coming to and ask you to finish food its just like they want you to eat quickly and go that's uncomfortable

We ate here as a family almost 2 years ago, and only now do I feel like I have emotionally recovered and feel able to share it. Where do I start? The below picture, is what I received. Important I add at this point that it’s not what I ordered. I ordered a chicken sizzler, in a Turkish restaurant. Apparently this is a sizzler. I checked with the chicken on the plate and it told me it had already swam 4 lengths on its way out to me. I could have back a dodgy dish, it can happen. I think I naively then expected as a customer to be able to raise this (politely) may I add to the staff, who surely would put things right. I didn’t realise that although this restaurant is called Topkapi, I actually was being served by all the ex Karen’s diner staff. They could not shut me down quick enough. I suppose it gets like that though when someone challenges you on your soup dish, sorry sizzler. A bit of a mad experience. I’m not saying don’t eat here, if you like misleading menus or wanna play dish roulette, I’m backing you give this a 5 stars all the way and tell your tik tok about it.

Busy place with average food. Nothing special. Luck of spice for my taste.

We had prebooked a table for 6 and got a nice booth. The food was great and very reasonably priced. All in all a great experience.

6 of us had a fabulous lunch here yesterday. The service was warm and friendly, we arrived early and were allowed to sit and have a drink at our table even though they dont open until 12 pm. This was so kind as we had two children with us and it was raining outside, so thank you for that. We had the lunchtime menu , and wow, what amazing value for money. I had the mixed meze and chicken sizzler. Throughly enjoyed the well flavoured and cooked meal. I can't believe how generous the portions were. We were offered more Pitta bread and drinks replenished swiftly. The children were catered to, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat and will definitely return when we are next in Manchester.

We were a large booking of 15 people but the service was still really quick and good. Food was all brought out together and everyone in the party was saying how good the food was. Will definitely be back. Thanks.

Disappointed. Small plates, pricey... I was excited it was my first time in a Turkish restaurant and the waiter wasn't really chatty or informative. I had to ask lots of questions instead of him explain me a little bit about turkish cuisine or recommend anything. Also not friendly at all. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back. Overpriced for what it actually is.

Amazing food, full of flavour and some really good options. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and engaging. The lady serving us made the experience just that much better. Will definitely be returning here again and will recommend it to friends!

Turkish people are well-known with their hospitality attitude but this fact doesn’t apply to employees of this restaurant. At some point I really thought the waitress was going to beat us. Customer service must be done with smiley face and polite manner. Make sure your employees know how to serve. Definitely not going there again and not recommending to anyone. If you want to eat halal food or Turkish food, you can try other restaurants in Manchester.

The food was delicious and full of flavour. Friendly and efficient service. Good value for central Manchester.

Lunch set menu was 3 pounds more expensive than usual as it was December.

Food experience was great, amazing service

Four of us came for a meal, we had the lunch special, 2 courses for a set price. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, it was the first time of visiting here but definitely will not be our last. The food was lovely we all had different starters, I had shredded chicken in a creamy mayo then 3 of us had sizzling chicken and 1 had doner kebab, it was fresh and tasty, the staff are amazing, we will definitely be returning.

We came here after a recommendation by a friend and we were not disappointed! It was very quiet when we went but it was about 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were lovely and the food was brilliant with lots of choices to choose from. Definitely would recommend to someone else.

The food was delicious, we ordered the mix grill for two which was enough for three people and we still managed to get the rest of it packed. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Manchester and want a nice cuisine to eat at.

We were here on a wet Wednesday night at 6.30pm .just us 3 and another couple , the chef having a snack at the pass , the mini meze, meatballs and borek starters came quickly, tasty and hot!! We followed with sea bass, swordfish and chicken mains. All were really tasty fresh and presented immaculately. Brought back memories of our times in Turkey. The restaurant is immaculate. The waiting staff were really friendly to us and judging by the banter between them , enjoyed working together. No fear of recommending this place

Average Turkish food, decent food quality for quite an extortion of money though! Small portion, poor customer service, loud and crowded restaurant. My friend and I arrived I in early and no one offered even water or the drinks card until 20 minutes where I had to ask! We were celebrating another friend’s birthday, and the service wasn’t ideal. It was all rushed, with fake smiles, no one checked on our table to see how we enjoyed the food. We felt like we were bothering the waiters, not felt welcomed at all. Will definitely not come back and won’t recommend this place either unfortunately.

We love this place. We come back for birthday celebrations and we are never disappointed. Ordered from the lunch menu with two extra starters and and extra main which is made for two. Me and my 3 meat loving men. It was a lot of food but they beasted it. Fantastic food again

After a little shopping in Manchester, we decided to have a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. After walking around and looking at different restaurants, we came across the Topkapi Palace. A lunch menu that is served from 11:30 till 4pm consisting of a starter and main course for £13.95 per person seemed a very good choice. On entering the restaurant, there were a few people dining. We were met by a very nice, friendly waitress who gave us the option to sit wherever we wanted to. After we had settled at our table, we were given the drinks and food menus. We ordered a bottle of Cal Y Canto Tempranillo Merlot, Syrah (£19.95) to complement our starters of Cerkez Tavgu and Mitre Kofte. For our mains, we both opted for the Vegeterian Mussaka. All starters are served with Pita Bread. Mitre Kofte was four large, very tasty meetballs in a homemade sauce. The Cerkez Tavugu,which is shredded chicken blended with creamy mayo, was the star of the starters. We both would have this starter again. Our Mussakas came with rice and a side salad and was absolutely delicious. Apart from being delicious food, we both were impressed with the portion sizes, so much so we had no room left for a dessert. When the waitress brought the bill, it was accompanied by two hot towels and two lemon sweets. There are two bathrooms that are located downstairs, so for people with mobility issues, it might be a little awkward. On a positive note, both bathrooms were very clean and tidy. Great service, great food, and in our opinion, it is well worth a visit.

We have 2 Turkish restaurants near me so inevitably I was comparing the food to what I'm accustomed to. Food was average. They have a lunch and dinner menu with some good options.

It was the worst kebab I've ever eaten. My advice is that chefs should go to kebab restaurants in London and learn how to cook meat. Because kebab was not kebab but something else. If you are selling portions for 20-25, you need to do your job well. Lastly, don't be so stingy, you are present it badly Turkish Restorant

Arrived at 22.50 told they were closing, 23.30 on there website, very poor, we will try again.

Good restaurant based on Turkish 🥘 food

Had a great experience yesterday, went for dinner at the place. The food was good and tasty with great presentation. The atmosphere was not very good maybe because of no Air conditioning or fans although the weather was very hot. Overall good experience.

Very good and friendly service, but the food doesn’t measure up. Turkish food is my favourite and I have eaten at many Turkish restaurants. I would rate this restaurant amongst the worst. We had the mixed kebab for 2. The dinner was over cooked, dry and reheated. The lamb chops were thin and tasteless. The chicken was bland , and the kofte unpleasant at best. Avoid. What a disappointment

The food tastes very bad we couldn’t even eat it. It feels like it was rotten and the meat smells very bad in the doner dish. The service was extremely bad, we weren’t welcomed at first, and after being friendly with them, they gave us a table but the waiters were very impatient and was giving us attitude. We ordered cheese burak and it was very disappointing tbh, it was a “SAMBOSA” not burak and tasted super oily. Very disappointed restaurant tbh, not recommended at alll

The staff were lovely and the food was so nice. Lots of it and for the price it was very good. Certainly one to remember for another time when up in town.

Fantastic food and friendly service. My wife and I shared a portion of Cicik with bread as our starter while the chef prepared the Lux Karisik Izgara, which is served for two people. It was a good job we were hungry. The meat was cooked to perfection and included a selection of charcoal grilled doner, kofte, chicken and lamp chops, served with rice and salad. Would definitely put on my list for our next visit to Manchester.

First time visiting here , with a date. Nice and easy to get to located on Deansgate. Staff were friendly and accommodating, service was quick. Food was amazing would definitely come again.

I visited this restaurant last week prior to going to the theatre. It is on the main road and is an authentic Turkish restaurant with very helpful and welcoming staff. Food was fantastic, will be visiting again when next in Manchester.

Great Turkish food, and the desserts are excellent as well. Considering the good lunch time deal it's a great option when visiting the Deansgate area.

We called in for lunch the food was excellent we had mixed sharing platter to start and a lamb sizzler for mains,it was delicious with baklava to share for sweet service was spot on we'd definitely come again. Cheers Duncan and Helen

Amazing service and amazing food!

A pleasant Turkish restaurant in the heart of Manchester. We enjoyed a friendly welcome and excellent service. We'd recommend the mixed 2-person hot starter for a range of regional delights. I enjoyed the Lamb Sizzler for my main which was nice but perhaps a little sweeter and less spicy than I was expecting. You get a choice of rice or chips. I chose rice. I'd also recommended having the Turkish beer Efes which is available on tap. It's a light lager and goes well with the food.

Excellent food and excellent service we had mixed starter for two and lamb sizzler for mains,a couple of beers efes on draft spot on , two cocktails and baklava to finish. Everything was spot on wed definitely come again. Cheers Duncan and Helen

Walked in for a late dinner to be greeted by the staff who were so kind and polite. Got the stuffed vine leaves starter and the mixed grill with rice plus the Turkish drink Ayran. Excellent service with a smile throughout, staff always checking up and bringing anything you needed. Prompt service with the starters and main, wonderful and authentic food with really good value for money when you consider the quality and the location. If you’re craving Turkish food in Manchester you can’t go wrong here, the food AND the staff are both top notch. Highly recommended.

It’s the best kebab in Manchester, no competitors. They don’t cut corners anywhere - salad is fresh, meat is juicy, it all just adds up to a good experience. Highly recommend - you don’t have to be stumbling out of 42s to go here.

Staff / service were pleasant, food was disappointing. Way too much cheese in moussaka. We both had the moussaka and agreed that the chef must have grabbed the mozzarella instead of the bechamel

Happened to pop on in for lunch and must say it was wonderful. We had the shredded chicken walnuts starter and meat balls followed by Doner kebab and a sizzler. We loved it so tasty. Definitely be back soon !!

I was in Manchester for a gig and we popped in for dinner on the basis I love Turkish food! We were looked after from the second we stepped in. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious (we had the set menu) and the portion size were perfect. I would recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone in the area.

Quite location, just hidden down a side street. I came across it by chance. Prices were high but it's standard for a location in the middle of town. I ordered a chicken burger and it was ready in 3mins freshly made and the owner threw in chips for free.

Just ok, smallish donor kebab as a main for £17, no pita served with it. Left hungry. Food was v.nice just small portions.

The soup and the adana were both a disaster! The soup tasted like it was a week old and the meat tasted like rubber. It had no spices in it and it tasted like the most cheapest and last meat from the butcher. Hopefully it takes nog long to shut down this place. Its a shame for the Turkish culture.
