Despite some rude female waitresses on a previous visit, I returned and I'm glad I did. Jasper is a great member of the team. He was the only member of staff smiling and nice to interact with. On multiple occasions he has served me and is just as polite as the last. Jasper saved you guys a customer, thanks to him I will continue to dine here.

An enjoyable lunch with friends. Pleasant views over the park. Service prompt and friendly thanks to our waitress Cheryl. Food was well cooked and tasty.

Great breakfast .good service good warm atmosphere. Food good and staff very good. Offering drinks throughout the meal even after.

Our server Cat was fantastic visited 2 days ago. She was friendly to us and our 4 year old. Good food good also. Took advantage of kids for £1 in half term which was even better for us as well and all in all a nice lunch.

Apart from the cooked chicken, the whole experience was awful 😖 from our waitress asking "do you want drinks and to order food?" we didn't see her again until we asked for the bill, which she threw on the table. We went to get salad, in a hot bowl which at least we knew had been through a dishwasher, only to find that the majority of the pots were empty. After asking 5 people about filling them up a young girl went and got a couple but then went off to serve at tables. After asking someone else, their reply was "are you looking for something in particular?" And then they didn't have it. The restaurant was not busy but if you're going to invite customers in then make sure you have food to feed them. Won't be going back, worst harvester I've ever been in.

After a friend's recommendation we drove from Crawley to this Harvester Rest'nt. As soon as we arrived at 2.30 there appeared to be a shortage of staff. We waited for 10 minutes by the main door and were completely ignored, then I asked if we could have a table for 5, we were given a good circular table close to the bar. We were never asked if we had booked which we had. We then waited again and after perhaps 10 mins the waitress came and took our drinks orders and meal choices, this she did well. (A shame there was no draft bitter available, only gassy lager). The salad bar was good and the food choices fresh, bread was so very, very dry!! It always is in Harvester restaurants. After a fairly short wait the meals arrived and set out below are some comments on our meals. The jacket potato was only partially heated, Strangely the potato was black on the inside The chips were undercooked and tepid The chicken breast was very tough overcooked or maybe re-cooked and had zero flavour The double burger was leathery and tasted rather strange The ribs must have been taken from an animal on a diet because there was a paucity of met on the ribs. The rice, containing a few lonely pieces of veg (carrots & peas) was undercooked and looked a strange colour. Not once were we asked "How are your meals" We were not asked "Do you wish to order desserts" The worst part of the service was that our bill was slapped on the table with not a word from waitress. It looked as though she wished she was somewhere else. Anyway for £90 we regarded the experience as very underwhelming.

Chloe was great! Sunshine on a rainy day! Helpful, gave options and we well fed having enjoyed our lunch! Hope to see her next time!

Took my two kids here today for a spot of lunch after swimming. My son in celiac the lady that served us Becky, was incredible! Her understanding her knowledge her know how was unreal she was so so helpful many places you go there just isn’t an understanding of this and exactly how dangerous it is and can be. She spoke to my son (17) about options let him go through all the options of what was there and literally did everything she could in her ability to make sure it was as best it could be I was bowled over at exactly how attentive she was 10/10 from me what a fab member of staff The food was great too well done Becky you’re a credit

We had a family booking for 25 people The staff managed all our menu choices brilliantly considering it was a busy Sunday lunchtime They were friendly helpful and professional all the time and all the food orders were correct , all dietary needs respected etc in a professional manner We all enjoyed our meals and had no concerns ,so we could enjoy our family reunion Special thanks to Megan our main waitress as well as all in the kitchen for making everything run smoothly A big Thank You to all the staff including the manager

Lovely staff. Excellent service. Great presentation and portion sizes, salad bar well stocked and delicious. Only one thing let it down. The Mediterranean Tart. It was very disappointing. Basically Ratatouille in a bland tasteless pasty case. Very slimy and sloppy. It was nothing like a tart. A tart is set. This wasn't.

Visited on Tuesday and had a fabulous time. Food was delicious and well cooked, arrived within a good time as well and all lovely and hot. The service we received from Becky was outstanding, she is a credit to the restaurant. All in all, 5⭐️ visit and we will be back. Thank you

We went here at 6.30pm on a Saturday night after booking online. The wait to get served was ridiculous, we waited over an hour to be served. We were all starving after a long day too. It wasn’t even particularly busy in there either. By time we got our food we’d been there about one hour and 40 minutes. No one apologized for the wait. The staff tried to avoid us whenever we wanted to ask how long the food would be. The food was ok when it come but not worth the wait and being ignored by all the staff. It was like it was an inconvenience us being there.

Group of 5 . 2 of us had the surf and turf, steak was gristle , couldnt eat it ,and chips were tepid. Waitress said they had no rotisserie chicken so one guest reordered. Waitress brought 4 meals out and then told us they didn't have Mediterranean tart either so had to reorder again.dont understand why it took 30 mins after ordering to tell us. Salad bar was very depleted at 8pm On the plus side the waitress was lovely and they did apologise giving us one free desert. For £120 I would say go elsewhere

Dropped in here yesterday on the off-chance of a hot drink & light snack. Ordered a Christmas dinner which was amazingly good.

Went here today with family and never again the worst harvester in the country I see a rat in the restaurant team were actually laughing about it, chefs coming outside in uniform everyone standing around. I have never seen a more disgusting restaurant and unorganised staff. I used to love it here but this is my last visit!!!!

Dropped in for coffee and dessert - coffee appeared immediately, but 15 mins later no dessert! Lady serving us had vanished and nobody seemed bothered - so asked for refund on missing dessert. Small apology (lady had re-appeared) and then as we left all the staff were having a good laugh at our expense! Now I am told refund takes 5-10 working days to appear! I've had bad experiences here before but wanted to give it a chance - never again!

Was a bit surprised they weren’t doing “buffet / eat all you like”. But it was actually really nice being served by a waitress. Cheryl was friendly and attentive

Terrible, a menu that is over 50% made up of half ,quarter of chicken , to be told that is was not available because they have run out is unacceptable, place was nearly deserted, ask for half a rack of ribs instead and was told no , they cannot do replacements, offererd a chicken breast , 1 meal was contaminated with sweat chilli sauce, salad bar was empty and had to ask to be filled , done ,but begrudgingly , in fairness steak was nice but does not make up for the rest, will i go and spend £122 again ,no way.

Like the Curate’s Egg. I haven’t visited this restaurant for some time but having been invited to try their £5.99 breakfast thought why not? Like the Curate’s Egg good in part. The value and quality of the food could not be denied. Plentiful and hot and stunning value. However, the service was slow to the point of comical and inattentive. Felt that customers were an inconvenience. As an example an elderly gentleman was sitting near us and obviously looking to order his breakfast. He was ignored by all the waiting staff to the point that I approached one of the staff and was told she was doing something but would attend to him. Eventually after doing two check outs she asked a colleague to serve him. Not customer service at its best. When paying the bill by card there was no option not to leave a tip! 5% 10% 15% or another amount. I am generally criticised for leaving tips even when service is so so but on this occasion did not wish to recognise the poor service experienced. Time for the management to improve customer experience and welcome and attend to the guests that the company are eagerly trying to encourage.

Very busy night. 40% of main courses. Lots of people, only there for the 40% off try and get as much salad, bread and butter in their pocket as they can, not tipping or appreciate in the hard work of the staff

Lovely Cheryl was fabulous and served us all fantastically. Kind, attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Went for a night out with the family and with 10 of us, the food and especially the great service from Cheryl, was outstanding. Out whole group was made to feel so welcome and that just made the night, along with the amazing food. Big thanks to the Beech Hurst team!

Ordered childs ribs, scampi as no fish and rump steak as no sirloin. Order taken for drinks almost straight away. Meals came out in good time, mushy peas sent back as luke warm. Chips not great but warm and mushrooms on the steak plate were completely burnt, but couldn't be bothered to complain. Just a shame the chef thought it was ok to send burnt, crispy mushrooms out. Kids make your own sundee was really nice, granson loved it.

Had a lovely lunch with family. Staff and food very nice and was impressed with new renovations! Couldnt believe a small Xmas Tree was already on display though! 😳 It’s September!!! Anyway will return another time as really enjoyed it!

We arrived at 5pm it was my husbands birthday to be told the kitchen could not cope and they weren’t taking food orders for another hour and a half, what was concerning was there was hardly any customers and also the staff we’re switching over shifts and still taking orders, we were told as the manager had not informed them. It was meant to be a birthday celebration which turned into a nightmare we then went to highlands, Uckfield as 1.5 hours is to long and we had a hungry 4 year old and food was quick and 😋 but I would say never again, on another note we came 2 weeks before 4 of us all our meals came out at different times so first person had finished before we even got ours, hard to say if staffing or management but something ain’t right.

Ignored at the door for the first 10 mins, eventually seated. Very slow to take our order, slow to deliver bowls for the salad bar. Had to chase up the drinks order twice (and it didn't seem that busy - dread to think what the experience would be like it it was full) Salad bar looked quite sorry for itself, no thousand island dressing, no white rolls. I asked about the thousand island - the waitress said she would check if there was any more - gave up waiting for that... Main eventually came - wrong chips. Asked for sweet potato fries and got normal chips. The other meal had seasoned fres, which had so much seasoning on I had to triy and scrape it off. The food here really is mediocre - go to a weatherspoons - same quality at half the price. The prices seem high for the size of portion and food quality? Would of had dessert but couldn't face another 30 min wait... We won't bother going here again

It took. A while to get our food, the staff were trying their best, it was very busy. But all around us tables were complaining, once our food came out, everything turned up at the same time, starters, and mains. But we weren’t too worried. But it definitely felt there wasn’t enough staff.

I have tried to contact this restaurant before summiting this bad review but despite several emails & one quick email reply from Beech Hurst I have heard nothing back. Food was awful quality & when we asked to speak to a manager we were told no one was there to speak to us. Very disappointing response.

Came here for a late birthday meal and had a very enjoyable meal. Last two times we have come here, we have been served by Isaac and he was 10/10 both times, thank you and good luck at uni!

Friendly staff, and generous portions, and a very pleasant environment. Worth booking ahead for the busier hours.

A Mother’s Day breakfast for 6. It was incredibly busy as to be expected but our waitress Kalina has been incredible! Service with a true smile, and perfect attitude, nothing was to much. She made the wait worth while.

Popped in for lunch as had a groupon voucher for 2 courses. We were served by Chloe who was warm, welcoming and very attentive. The food was nice and even without the voucher was very reasonably priced.
