Really good food, excellent value, reasonable service, variety of options, lots of choices for all the family. Convenient location, toilets reasonable condition.

Great food and ambience ! Loved it !

Plenty of parking but remember to enter you reg no. In the restaurant or you’ll get a hefty fine, nice location for this place on a hill with nice views overlooking the park. Large period building and nicely Christmas decorations up in the Restaurant. It took a while for front of house lady to appear and I didn’t appreciate her being rude to another member of staff. We were taken to our table through the spacious restaurant and I noticed how some tables have a nice view of the park. Our table was a little dirty at the far end so we ignored that. A lovely waitress took out order quite quickly and handed us some salad bowls, mine was a little dirty on the outside. Salad was OK reasonably fresh a good choice. The bread rolls were very slightly underbaked and fairly tasteless but OK. When my wife’s meal arrived the portion of chicken was hidden by the ribs for good reason that portion of chicken was tiny and was mainly all bone. Credit due to the server who quickly returned with another portion of chicken when I complained.. Over all a good experience on impacted by cleanliness and rude front of house.

Have never had a bad experience at the mansion house especially on Christmas Eve, large family booking but looked after by the staff very well, lovely clean restaurant and we love the atmosphere at Christmas…been going to Harvester for 29 years now on Christmas Eve and next year we are already looking forward to making it 30 years….thank you so much for a lovely evening

The table was all set ready for my Festive Menu party booking with salad bowls set ready for everyone. It took a while for our starters to be served but had to wait a very long time for our main course. Our booking was at 1pm and our main courses weren't served until 2.15pm after we had asked where they were. Desserts also took quite a while after that too. So we weren't able to leave until about 4pm. Disappointed there were no xmas crackers.

Sandy was amazing. She made sure we were looked after and that everything was perfect. Thank you 10/10.

Great place. Food was amazing and very cozy. However at the end of the evening the staff inc the manager was unable to break down the bill for us so families could pay separately (something many other restaurants have done). If it wasn't fir that it would of been 5 stars across the board

Jack was ace. So helpful and happy. Shame the coffee machine was closed at 9pm and there was a hair in the coleslaw.

When we had the attention of our waitress, she was polite, friendly and efficient. When we first arrived, we were immediately asked what we wanted to order for drinks before sitting down and being able to look at the menu. We asked if she could pop back in a few minutes and we waited around 15mins for her return. After lunch (which was lovely), we asked for the dessert menu but were still waiting 20minutes or more later, so because we couldn't wait any longer ( with a young baby) we got the bill. Service was rather slow.

My favourite family restaurant and very good value for money. Salad bar is great, mains are usually pretty good and plenty of options if you like grill food. Nicely decorated and the staff have nearly always been nice too.

We visited the Harvester Mansion House in Reading on a Friday night and had a lovely experience. The food was good, the atmosphere was warm and friendly, and our waitress, Hannah, was very nice and attentive. A great spot for a relaxed evening out!

We booked a private function room upstairs for my daughter’s 10th birthday party with buffet food. I had great communication from start to finish from enquiring to booking to the actual event. Absolutely outstanding service from all the staff that catered for us and servers with our drinks. The Assistant Manager who was looking after us was amazing. Everyone at the party spoke very highly of the quality of the food, the wide selection. We couldn’t fault the staff or food at all. Would definitely book here again for future parties and highly recommended to anyone for a venue. This has it all. Only managed to get photos of some of the food as it was going quickly lol !

Today at the mansion house harvester, my family enjoyed a birthday meal celebrating my sister’s 21st birthday. The staff were great and very welcoming. Our waitress Hannah was fantastic she took all of our orders, cleared away took photos and brought out my sister cake making it a very enjoying evening.

Meg was a lovely server! Very attentive and polite. Great service.
