Harvester Beacon Quay in Torbay

Situated at the end of the marina, staff polite and friendly, good atmosphere, varied menu the usual type in these place, food looked appetising and tasted fresh, we like these sort of places as you usually can't go wrong.

This was our first visit to this particular restaurant. On arrival a lady ( who helped us sort out the app, which is not our strong point) met us with a smile and lead us to our window seat ( view of the harbour) a few minutes later Sheriden took our drinks order and returned a few minutes later to take the food order. Everything went very smoothly and have to say we were impressed with the whole visit.

Absolute joke,I was down visiting from Glasgow,party of 6 including 2 children, although our server was nice it took about 30mins for food to arrive, then our table was left unattended with empty plates,glasses for nearly 45mins while servers walked past several times, eventually my daughter had to go get the attention of a different server who was pissed off to be asked if the children could have their dessert,,rude and arrogant, asked us to collect the empty plates for him and returned with dessert, slammed them on the table and walked away in a mood!!maybe he doesn't like Scottish people!!!!

Carol was brilliant looked after us really well. And on a sunny day it’s in a lovely location

The food was great me and my partner whent today 6th may 25 I had the breakfast and my partner had eggs benidick everything was great the staff were great and friendly .from two great people jan and steve

Duty manager is extremely rude, no idea how she got the job, other staff member so more deserving. One meal came out and was missing part of it, the chicken looked like it had been ran over and the chips weren’t correct. Spoke to manager and she was very rude and hard work. She came back with a replacement chicken breast and said ‘is that ok for you’ this isn’t respectful and she scowled at all 4 of us upon leaving. Would not recommend.

Lunch was very enjoyable, Stefan is superb at his job and is very good with people and catering to their needs. Food was tasty and everything was ran with efficiency

We ended up in the restaurant by chance yesterday. The menu caught our attention as we walked past. Our server Rich was fantastic, as was our food. That's why we decided to have dinner there again today and it was again very tasty. Of course we wanted to go to Rich's table and that worked out, even though it was very busy today. We can only recommend the food and Rich as a waiter.

Beautiful food and incredibly good service from Codie on our visit to Beacon Quay Torquay today. My tomahawk pork steak was perfect and the BBQ chicken steak was amazing. Highly recommended!!!

I took my daughter for a meal at the harvester on April bank holiday. My server was called Jo. She was very polite & helpful & took good care of us. She was very kind and patient with my daughter. The food was very nice, but I’d try something else rather than the ribs next time. We love the salad bar & the refill drinks. My daughter loved everything she ordered. Kids pizza with sweet potato fries & she loved the salad and dessert that came with her meal. I will definitely be back again soon. Thank you Jo. From Trish.

Our server carol, she was very nice and gave us a great experience. They made sure we was comfortable with our 3 month old and closed curtains and turned the ac off to suit the baby which was nice. Food was fantastic overall a very good service.

First time visiting a Harvester restaurant and we weren't left disappointed. Absolutely value for money, the food, service and atmosphere were all spot on, and the views from the rooftop terrace were just as great.Thank you so much to all the staff today, we definitely will be back.

Had a lovely meal here, full restaurant but no impact on the meal. Salad bar all fresh and refilled. Bread rolls were a nice bonus as well. Served by Carol, who was lovely, friendly and very attentive.

This was our first time here. Staff were very welcoming on arrival. Shown to our table and everything was explained to us. I was pleasantly surprised that all food and drinks were ordered at the table with a waitress. there is no need to que at a bar or order through an app. Having said that, i would recommend downloading the Harvester app as you get 25% of your first visit and collect points each time you visit. Loads of good choices on the menu. We ordered a mixed grill and a chicken and barbecue ribs meal. There was a little bit of a wait for our meal, when it arrived it was nice and hot, well cooked and we enjoyed every mouthfull. They also have a free salad bar with a large selection of items that you can help yourself to. What's not to like about this place, we had a very enjoyable time and will be back for more.

We had a lovely family meal, we weren't rushed at all when making our menu choices and the service from Carol our server was first class! The option to change your chips for healthier choices and the unlimited salad meant we all left with full stomachs!

Went in for a quick meal before a loan day out with my girlfriend and the reception was lovely and amazing. Special thanks to Jo who was taking care of us and was very lovely. Would highly recommend, especially the salad bar.

Form the time we entered to the time we left Jo was very helpful and attentive. She dealt with my daughters peanut allergy efficiently and gave very clear instructions on how to log on to the WiFi. An overall good experience made better by Jo.

Today I had my food served by a very polite young woman called Ellie. She had very good manners and made sure we were all sorted with what we had ordered. The food was very good I had a classic chicken burger with chips which was enough to fill me up.

This place doesn't deserve the 1 star rating, to be honest...Terrible food. I would describe it as slop. Explained my disappointment to a member of staff, her response was to literally justify the sorry state of the meal. To be dismissed like this, as a paying customer, is absolutely shocking. I wish I had kicked up more of a fuss, but I guess I'm too kind. Our waiter couldn't even hide the fact that his shift was a hard one, but at least he made up for it by squriting his co-worker with the anti bac spray right by our table. Fun times. The salad bar was pitiful. Scraping the barrel for scraps. Honestly, the worst place. We absolutely regret going there. Harvester, you should feel embarrassed by your staff and the food that you have served to us. I would NOT recommend going here for food!

Visited today had cod chips and peas and pint Carling Chunkiest fish I've ever had anywhere and I did struggle Some if the chips were a little crispy but apart from that it was lovely and also a great view of the harbour

Came in on the spur of the moment. Was given a table within minutes. Salad bar was delicious, would love some more fruity bits, but the Pineapple is delicious. Ordered from the £8 chicken deal, (which was a lovely surprise) The waffle was dry and rather hard, the chicken was fine. When we had finished we felt a little rushed to pay, but otherwise service was good.

45 minute wait for food, normally wouldnt have minded but we were going to the theatre so had to leave in a rush. If we'd have been told that we wouldnt have ordered. Loo floor really sticky no soap in dispenser. The lady who seated us was not particularly welcoming. Won't rush back..

We love coming to the harvester (me and my daughter) especially when Carol is our server. Her customer service is 5 star, she always takes care of us. We also love the salad bar!

Kasia looked after us very well, what a lovely evening we had.

Felt sorry for the young lady at front of house, she was serving customers behind the bar, cleaning tables, checking people in, serving food, when the did arrive it wasn't worth the hour wait.

The salad was fairly empty. No sauces and the bread rolls tasted like yesterday's. The server Kasia was very polite and attentive. Used an £8 voucher off the app..

Well, it's a harvester... I should have gone for something stodgy with chips. Play to their strengths. But I ordered a pasta dish. It's what I fancied. And the meal I was presented with would have been lovely.... if it was a £2.50 Tesco's finest ready meal. But for £15? a bit disappointing..... Staff were really friendly and great with our toddler. The salad bar was good. Had to wait 30min+ from ordering to service (toddler ate all emergency snacks, and even some salad...) Had good allergy awareness and gluten free options. Lovely views too. Overall, it was 'fine', but the price tag was certainly above the rather ordinary offering.

Very enjoyable restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, the services from Carol was excellent, food was lovely, would definitely go back when in the area.

Had a lovely meal, Carol was fantastic, very friendly, helpful and considerate of my dietary peculiarities due to reactive hypoglycemia. My ribs were gorgeous and she helped me set up my App to register for rewards. Nice view across the bay, would absolutely return!
