Grim. Long wait, poor quality expensive food and surly staff. Wouldn't bother going back.

Came here for our anniversary meal.Very good food and were impressed with the service jo gave us.

I really enjoyed the dinner at Harvester here in Torquay! The food was delicious, my server Kasia was a very friendly person and the atmosphere in and view from the restaurant were great.

Salad bar good, main courses, hmm not great, gammon rubbery, fish dry, chicken good, ribs good. Deserts good. Bust sat night. Skewers had run out by 5pm

Salad bar was poorly stocked. The chips and the rotisserie Chicken were both overcooked. Everything else on the meal was very nice.

Came on Sunday, service was prompt for a steady afternoon. My waitress was called Sheriden. She was superb and was attentive to my young child who suffers with Autism. Very friendly staff all round. Food was delicious too. Will come here again

Went into this Harvester Restaurant on Thursday 29 August. 1. Told by a lady on the pod the tables were booked and we would have to sit upstairs outside. Very untidy but the sun was shining. 2. When we went down for our second bowl of salad as we had been waiting for 1 hour for our starters the said tables were still empty. 3. It began to get cold as we had been waiting so long and then our starters and main course arrived together. Which was a first. Then which do you let go cold your starter or main. I made a complaint to the lady who I assume was the manager. I was told it was a busy week ( which I allowed for ) I was then told that they serve the starter and main together so we wouldn’t have had to wait a further hour for our main. She said I should have been told when ordered my food ( I would have choose a different starter) She then for good effect offered to refund the price of our meal but we had used a Groupon voucher so said if I left my email she would send a voucher I have now waited over a week and it hasn’t arrived!! Food was on par with Wetherspoon so why not do a first come first served basis on tables and stop bookings and false customer service Since writing this review I have received the refund voucher and detailed apology

The waitress was quite rude almost as if servicing us was a chore for her, she asked us if we would like some drinks however we had only just been seated at our table and then she came back two minutes later and while I was talking she rudely interrupted and said “I’ll give you more time” we had to wait 45 minutes for our food to arrive and when it did my burger was cold. I personally won’t be returning to a Harvester anytime soon.

Waited for our table so sat in the bar area flies around the window and dead ones! We booked 615 arrived little early told not ready needed to wait 2 different couples who had not booked were taken to a table right away! Not advised either that 45 min wait on food others were complaining too ! Waitress blamed it on 'customers ordering different foods and new staff!' Sheridan was lovely though

Lovely meal out with the hubby. First time eating here. Food was lovely. Big shout out to our lovely waitress Jo, Couldn't ask for a better waitress, was really friendly, had a smile and was apologetic when she told us there was a delay with our food. Thank you! Would definitely come back again!

Carol was such a funny and lovely server! Nothing was too much trouble, easy talking and such a caring nature to her!

Came here whilst on our short trip to Torquay. We both had the dirty bird burger ( which was lovely) However the chips and the onion rings were a little over cooked therefore were a bit hard when eating them. We did enjoy the unlimited salad bar and unlimited refill drinks as well as our starters ( nachos and calamari, although I personally would’ve liked a bit more sour cream with the nachos, as it was mainly guacamole and salsa). The waiter we had was a little awkward at times but other than this we had a nice meal out and would come back here again ! Lovely views of the habour also!

Been there before whilst on holiday,we are back on holiday. Disappointed could not get the 25% discount on the harvester app,other people struggling as well. Kasia was a very pleasant waitress,and was very helpful with my partner's allergies. Overall a decent meal and drink

It has become hard work to eat here with a lot of the offers app based and poor Internet signal there a lot of staff and diners frustrated trying to get codes for the bill,and it shows in the staffs attitude. Not a relaxing dining experience.

Had a fantastic dinner out with the fambo this evening!!! Food was prompt and delicious, staff were attentive and polite, shout out to the barman Charlie who couldn't have been more helpful and suggestive when ordering our meals. All in all a fantastic dining experience to end our holiday on, well done guys, will definitely come back next year!!!

Terrible long wait of over an hour for food, which was side dishes, then they forgot us, then it was the wrong food and other that was sent was cold. Waitress was very kind and gave us food for half price but even that was too much a will never return!

Although the food wasn't great, the service received from Jamie was absolutely amazing. Jamie went above and beyond to accommodate us and nothing was too much for him and he made our date night that much better. Thank you Jamie 😊

Dined here last night with the family. Served by Rich who was fantastic. Really attentative, friendly and provided great service. Food was great and came quicker than expected during a busy eveining service.

Had a lovely meal yesterday when visiting Torquay. We were time sensitive due to the time our coach was leaving. Ebony served us and was really helpful in ensuring we were on time by prompt service. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely meal. We will seek out our local harvester once home.

We had a great meal at Harvester. Our Waitress was Ebony and she really was terrific. Other tables were also commenting on how great a job she was doing. The kids eat every bite, which is always a good sign.

My experience at harvester was great , the service was great especially a server named Rich as he was able to tell us about allergies and delays in the timing of food as the restaurant was busy and even checked to see if everything was alright , overall my experience was great and the food and service where the best parts , thank you everyone and Rich!! 😁

Overall fab. What more can you ask for from a harvester. However, slow service and slow for food to come out. Bargain prices, always a discount.

The salad bar was dry, food so, so, after waiting 35 minutes for it. Could have been at any harvester in the country luckily we were sat next to the window which was the only good thing.

Rich was amazing throughout the whole evening. I was very pleased with how they dealt with my allergies and made sure my food was safe for me to eat.

I ordered 3 meals all lovely and cooked well. The salad bar offers a good range of items. The service from entering the building, being seated to placing our order and the arriving all was very good.

Sorry, but I have to give your server JAMIE (male server) 1 star. Could have been zero if possible. Please don't get me wrong. I have been in this place many times. All of the staff are very helpful and friendly. But today, after my family had dinner, Jamie started sorting out our plates. While he was stacking up the plates, he asked me if I could put my leftovers on top of the plates. And I was like, "Sorry?" He just repeated what he said and added "because I don't want to touch it (pointing on my leftovers)." He already sorted out our used utensils, so I had no choice but to pick up my leftovers barehandedly... I just felt like it was rude. It is my wife's birthday today, so I did not say anything as I don't want our day to be ruined. But I don't know if it is really how it is done here in the UK as I am not a local here, so I am happy to be corrected. But like I have said, it's not our first time to eat here.

Sadly I visited - and left. Was greeted by a very stuffy, sarcastic member of staff who enquired as to whether I had booked. I said I hadn't and did not realise that you needed too as I just walk in my local Harvester. With a snort, she retorted well Torquay is a major holiday destination in the summer and you can't just walk in. No problem, I'll walk right out again. Shame location is stunning and have always held Harvester in high regard. One to avoid for me in the future. Torquay being the "major tourist destination" also has a whole host of other welcoming venues who are more than happy to accommodate.

Carol was a brilliant server. We haven't been for a while and food was lovely.

Food and service : absolutely impeccable thanks to our favourite and fantastic service by Carol (our wonderful señorita!). We continue to return purely down to her friendly nature, her genuineness, and how well we have laughter with dear Carol. Other clientèle seem rude and disrespectful...and this is unpleasant to view, but more so for each member of staff who has to endure this utter nonsense. I cannot praise the staff enough...but Carol 10 out of 10...if I could give 20, I would. Please include this in her quarterly / annual review as she very much needs customer recognition. Good for her, and an absolute credit to Torquay Harvester. Brendan.

Awful service made to wait ages for a table staff walking past ignoring us asked the girl behind the bar if anyone could help us find a table came back with a bad attitude asking if we had booked I pointed out that the restaurant was half empty anyway just left couldn’t be bothered

Awful food. Burnt bacon, burnt mushroom, over cooked deep fried sausage. Half a small pot of beans. Would do anything about it as we had eaten some of it and said should have complained before we started eating? We had waited 40 mins for it.

We had the Rib eye steak with was cooked to perfection! Also the sweet potato fries were amazing. Thanks again for a wonderful meal see you again soon.

Visited on a quiet Monday for a quick bit of lunch and the experience we had was frankly appalling. The burger had the consistency of a shoe with stale bread and sweaty cheese. The steak flatbread initially came way overcooked and a replacement came 20 minutes later and was cooked in a way that was downright confusing. Medium rare (ideal!) on the edges and blue in the middle, yet the blue parts were concealed within flatbread so when our waitress came to check, I hadn't seen the cold and raw meat yet. We were served by Jo who made me feel intimidated and uncomfortable. Her actions were dismissive and aggressive when we made our final complaints, to the point I had to leave the restaurant as I was on the verge of a panic attack. Other staff members seemed to be more friendly and accommodating but we're unfortunately less present in our area. Sub-par food and hostile waitress made for a horrible experience!

Not enough Staff slow getting your food. Not very clean.

We ate on Sunday 18th. I can't praise Jordan our server enough. There were 15 of us and he ensured that we were well looked after and had everything we needed. At the end of the meal he split the bill exactly the way we wanted. He is a credit to your organisation.

Good value nice food great service

Went for meal with family I received my food chicken skewers which came very dry we also received our bill after 20 min of eating without asking for it so we felt rushed to finish also only 1 toilet in operation so had to cue for it not our usual experience at harvester and was first visit to torquay

Jordan was very efficient and cheerful The food was delicious The plates were hot We visited at different times for two different meals, morning and evening You should definitely try the Garlic Bread and Guacamole + fried chicken Also for dinner, the Double Burger will satisfy you. It comes with onion rings and fries. There is also unlimited salad!

The establishment is often quite busy, so it is imperative that you honor your reservation to avoid an extended wait time for a table, potentially up to an hour and a half. Bar service is available in the bar area, and there is also a rooftop terrace that offers scenic views of Torbay while you dine or have breakfast. We were warmly welcomed and well taken care of by Jamie, Jordan, and the individual with tattoos at the entrance. We highly recommend this establishment.

Gets very busy so would advise to book beforehand! Had a great meal here during our stay in Torquay. Jordan looked after us and was very polite! Some great views too!

The fish and chips: NO FLAVOUR at all and the quality of chicken wings and calamari was disgusting. I wouldn't come back. Disappointed.

We were warmly welcomed. The cuisine was exceptional. Jordan provided courteous and proficient service.

I was disappointed on our last visit I asked for fish and chips and when my food arrived the fish was all curled up on the corners and the corners were quite rubbery it was quite small piece of fish compared to the same meal I've had at my local harvester restaurant. Overall it's got a great atmosphere and the service is good too it's got unlimited refills on your soft drinks and got a choice of different drinks on the machine. It's quite good on the gluten free food side of things they get you to read something on an iPad before you order them accept it. They bring the gluten free food out first before your normal food so it avoids the whole cross contamination if they're carrying more than 1 plate of food out at a time.

Regrettably, Harvester Beacon Quay failed to live up to our expectations on this occasion. While there is a good range of beers and spirits on offer, and I definitely recommend the Brewdog Wngman. We both had scampi and chips, but the food failed to impress this time round. Nothing on the plate had real flavour, and the ingredients appeared to have been from the freezer to the frier to the plate.

Arrived at this place to be told we could sit down but had no server and could order at bar.Went to order and a trainee was there on her own struggling to take an order and she had to call manageress over.We were stood there waiting to order for nearly half an hour, the manageress looked like she was having a bad day and was not appologetic.We ended up walking out and having lunch somewhere else.Very bad service .

A good place for dinner, food was ok, position is excellent. Salad bar included is a bonus.

The food was fantastic. We did try to sit in the restaurant but was told all the tables were all reserved for later.. We went in the bar side instead, but they only had a limited menu. The young trainee girl behind the bar was very friendly. Sorry, I didn't get her name. It was on Wednesday afternoon.

Pretty nice, harvester. Food amazing as always. The service was very slow though, I don’t know if that’s because they were understaffed but it took ages for us to get our meals then desserts. Also took awhile to pay as the waitress that was serving u kept running away haha. We were also overcharged, we paid about £20 extra then we should have. I didn’t notice until we left. Make sure you pay the right amount if you go here.
