Harvester Beacon Quay in Torbay

We had the misfortune to order the Xmas dinner off the Festive Menu. We can honestly say it was the worst meal we have ever had in any restaurant. Fried spiced potatoes for roast, raw brocoli, heaven only knows what they did to the parsnips and the peas as they tasted like dishwater. Turkey was spiced, the whole thing inedible and I sent mine back. My hubbie plodded on then gave up. We didn't even bother to stay for a dessert which was included. They did take the price off for my meal, but it still ended up costing us £23 for sod all. Awful place, dirty tables that had not seen a cloth in a while. Save your hard earned cash, go elsewhere. The server was a nice guy though.

I’m sure this isn’t targeted to just torquay as I’m sure this is a nationwide harvester thing. All meals where baige literally nothing like they use to be including the original combo and the build your own sundae There just seams to be everything missing The portion sizes have massively reduced Yet the price has massive hiked Something going on in the bag ground as this all seams like penny pinching or cutbacks affecting us the consumer As I ain’t witnessed anything like this from any other chain restaurant similar to harvester Shame as harvester was my preferred choice when it comes to chain restaurants I firmly think that’s done it for us On the flip side waitress Jo 10/10 deserves credit for being friendly

The food was scrumptious, I love the chicken combo, always tastey, and the service was really nice and friendly, would definitely come back a again

We ordered the signature dish of rotisserie chicken which was very tasty. We were served by Jo at the Torquay restaurant who was just lovely and a credit to Harvester. We will be back.

Jo was our server and couldn't have been more attentive. All our meals where awesome. And Jo was kind enough to get us a lot of doggy bags! Harvester is very accomadting and over the years has never let me down always a go to when wanting a quick, and lovely bite to eat with lovely servers. Particularly Jo

Love the food. When we wanted a proper burger, we had to order from here. The cute little presentation box makes it feel like a present. Only downside of ordering a delivery is the food can be cold by the time it gets to you but to be honest Chef Travis cooked it so well that I didn't really think about the temperature just the taste. I would love for Harvester to deliver a fully statcked salad bar but the free salad with my meal was good enough to have for lunch/dinner for tomorrow.

Late evening visit so not full marks on atmosphere but not a reflection on the restaurant itself. Very good friendly service from Jo it came with a smile, polite and patient very happy with the service.

A very warm welcome as we entered and then guided to where we could sit with the dog. Assistant manager, Jordan was friendly and polite. Nothing took too long to arrive to the table.

Customer service was excellent. Reasonable pricing and good quality food. The waiter (Stefan) was very chirpy and could have a good laugh whilst he rushed around making sure everything was complete. Overall a great experience highly recommended

Michael was definitely the best server I've had

To be honest it's been years/decades since last went to a harvester for an evening meal and was surprised as to how good it was! I doubled up on my burger but shouldn't have as could have managed more lovely salad. Only downside was the woeful selection of beers.

Great service Kasia from the beginning to the end of our stay was great, helpful and very committed to her work. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We will definitely come back.🙂

The food was waht I expected, but the swrvixe was a surprise. Put waiting was polite, calm and attentive, Think his name was Mike.. would come back just to chat with him.

Had a wonderful time here with my family, Micheal went above and beyond to make sure our order was perfect considering we had dietary requirements would recommend to anyone in the area.

Lovely setting on the harbour side. Staff fantastic and always willing for a chat, we didn't eat but had a lovely drink there and not pressured to drink up to get diners in. The staff are a credit to the company

We were seated and served by a lovely guy named Jordan. He was incredibly friendly, and nothing was too much to ask. I have a nut allergy and Jordan went to check the allergen information for the mixed grill. The food was perfect, but as always, I couldn't finish it, because the pasta at the salad bar was too good to put down.

Food is always good, staff always excellent. There's not a lot of choice right on the marina, but the Harvester is always a sage bet and cheaper, with a wider menu than closest other food establishment

Terrible food would never eat there again, had to send chicken back, the burger was hard and dry the roll was awful waiter seemed disinterested once we sent food back and didn't even ask us if we wanted pudding. My husband did email you about the meal but we've had no reply very poor management.

The food came cold and overcooked and there was about an hour wait between couses (more like 2-3 working days).Chicken came quartered as they "miscounted" it . Overall don't come here on a weekend night.

Carol was absolutely amazing throughout the evening and went out of her way to look after us as well as many other tables in the vicinity simultaneously. This employee deserves a raise 👍

The service was immaculate, perfect for a day out. The food is unforgettablely tasty, especially the burgers. It was juicy, meaty and scrumptious. I highly recommend going to this place with a wonderful view of a very historic place during WWII. Our friendly server Jordan was a lovely, warm and relatable person. His jokes cracked me up and he tried his hardest to make sure we had a pleasant afternoon meal.

This could of been a 1 star review, as our burgers were burnt but our server Jo was wonderful 😊. I complained which I do not like doing, Jo was great, she had one look at the burger and swiftly took it away for a replacement. Then she come back and checked my boy's burgers and she noticed they were a little burnt, she whisked those away too. The food that was replaced was perfect. Thank you Jo, you made our visit just right 🤗

We had three meals which we all enjoyed, the service was good and we had a lovely view of the harbour. My only slight criticism was that my flatbread was very dry.

Great experience here. Our sever Stefan was fab and seemed to be doing everyone’s jobs at once! Never seen a Harvester with a more beautiful view either. We had to pay to park in the Beacon Quay Car Park. It was £2.20.

First class, we use harvester a lot in our home town. There is a big new menu, reflected in bigger prices but still a good place to go 😉

Kasia was so lovely and friendly, great service and the food was delicious. We had no idea about vouchers and discounts and staff explained to us how to get the discount which was really helpful. Great value and good food.

I really enjoyed the dinner at Harvester here in Torquay! The food was delicious, my server Kasia was a very friendly person and the atmosphere in and view from the restaurant were great.

Had an amazing evening; served by Rich what an outstanding guy, great service and made us feel very welcome, food was out amazingly and efficiently hats off to the chef as well! Will definitely be returning!!

Salad bar good, main courses, hmm not great, gammon rubbery, fish dry, chicken good, ribs good. Deserts good. Bust sat night. Skewers had run out by 5pm

Salad bar was poorly stocked. The chips and the rotisserie Chicken were both overcooked. Everything else on the meal was very nice.

Went into this Harvester Restaurant on Thursday 29 August. 1. Told by a lady on the pod the tables were booked and we would have to sit upstairs outside. Very untidy but the sun was shining. 2. When we went down for our second bowl of salad as we had been waiting for 1 hour for our starters the said tables were still empty. 3. It began to get cold as we had been waiting so long and then our starters and main course arrived together. Which was a first. Then which do you let go cold your starter or main. I made a complaint to the lady who I assume was the manager. I was told it was a busy week ( which I allowed for ) I was then told that they serve the starter and main together so we wouldn’t have had to wait a further hour for our main. She said I should have been told when ordered my food ( I would have choose a different starter) She then for good effect offered to refund the price of our meal but we had used a Groupon voucher so said if I left my email she would send a voucher I have now waited over a week and it hasn’t arrived!! Food was on par with Wetherspoon so why not do a first come first served basis on tables and stop bookings and false customer service Since writing this review I have received the refund voucher and detailed apology

Very promptly seated and served by friendly staff. We enjoyed our meals, gammon and bbq chicken stack.

The waitress was quite rude almost as if servicing us was a chore for her, she asked us if we would like some drinks however we had only just been seated at our table and then she came back two minutes later and while I was talking she rudely interrupted and said “I’ll give you more time” we had to wait 45 minutes for our food to arrive and when it did my burger was cold. I personally won’t be returning to a Harvester anytime soon.

Came on Sunday, service was prompt for a steady afternoon. My waitress was called Sheriden. She was superb and was attentive to my young child who suffers with Autism. Very friendly staff all round. Food was delicious too. Will come here again

Waited for our table so sat in the bar area flies around the window and dead ones! We booked 615 arrived little early told not ready needed to wait 2 different couples who had not booked were taken to a table right away! Not advised either that 45 min wait on food others were complaining too ! Waitress blamed it on 'customers ordering different foods and new staff!' Sheridan was lovely though
