Food and service excellent, served by Julia cooked by Adam

Salad bar nearly empty of food. I opted for chicken burger. It was so dry. No dressing at all. Perhaps it was just the wrong time of day/week (6pm Monday). Also, carpark has no lighting. Not good on dark nights

Service slow room cold food not upto scratch

Pretty poor service by a member of staff who couldn’t be bothered and lacked some basic training in removing dirty dinner plates before bringing out dessert, even when promoted. Then when I asked she seemed very reluctant and as if I had put her out. Food took quite a while to arrive, but it was nice and very reasonable for a family of 5. Also when walking out of the main and only entrance my kids had to walk through a cloud of smoke from people stood directly outside smoking, surely this should not be the designated smoking area! Sadly the service let us down on this occasion.

Never coming here again the so called manager is so rude waited over an hour for food when I asked he had a bad attitude and rolled his eyes at me salad bar was half empty but the service from the manager was terrible absolutely disgusting place was freezing had to sit in my coat just shocking absolutely shocking chicken was dry and chips was cold just awful avoid this place it needs shutting down avoid avoid avoid!!

Spot on, not been for a while, wasn't disappointed, service good, combine harvester ...ribs fell off the bone... awesome. Not sure what the sweetcorn square things was but were also amazing.... proper slab of fudge cake promptly followed. Go there n get some. 5 star.

Great breakfast with generous portion sizes. Food came out very quick as did our round of drinks. Server Matt was attentive and made sure I was ok getting to the table with crutches as well as making sure we registered our numberplate for parking. One our favourite breakfast stops when you don't wanna cook.

As vegans we are often disappointed when it comes to eating out, wether it be the lack of options or poor quality of the limited menu. This particular harvester could do with having a broader vegan selection however the vegan burger they do provide was brilliant! One of the best pub burgers we've had. I would also like to say how wonderful Julia was with being the hostess with the mostess! Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was very friendly throughout. Thank you 😊

Disappointed last visit As the meat was dry and the salad bar empty.

Friendly staff , steak was chewy . Salad rolls were hard and not fresh . The whole pub was cold . Not a great atmosphere to sit in when your cold , had to wear coat all the time we were eating . Eaten lots of times there so it was disappointing.

Popped in on a bike ride for a quick pint. Friendly and allowed us to bring our bikes in with us as long as we kept them out of the way.

I am a regular visitor to this Harvester. Love it. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

**Wow, just wow.** **Atmosphere and Cleanliness:** For starters, the place desperately needs an update—it's so rundown. The atmosphere was downright dreadful. When we ordered drinks at the bar, my wife’s glass had lipstick around the rim. We informed the barmaid, who proceeded to pour the drink from the dirty glass into another glass without a care! The second drink wasn’t any better; it had fruit flies floating in it. **Salad Bar:** The salad bar was a mess, with old bits of food everywhere. The pasta felt like chewing on Gandhi's flip flop. **Main Course:** The main course took more than an hour and a half to arrive. While I understand this for a party of 10+, the food still came out cold. Overall, a disappointing experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Hopefully, they make some serious improvements soon!

Natalia was wonderful, so friendly and incredibly helpful with my food allergies. She checked in multiple times to ensure that everything I received was safe for me to eat, and it felt like she genuinely cared about us having a positive experience.

We are frequent visitors. Sadly, we always have to wait to be attended to, on arrival. Almost feel like we're ignored, while the staff carry on talking among themselves (in plain sight of us!). But..all-in-all, good venue

Had the belly pork and the salmon fillet. Delicious. If you get Matt as a waiter then you’ll have a great meal. He really looks after you.

Sat at table quickly. Order taken swiftly. However on both our mains & desserts items were missing from the dishes. Earlier waiter was obviously not happy working there. When he'd gone the young lady who took over was friendly and helpful. Soft drinks dispenser shut down quite some time before closing. It was evident that people staying to almost closing time was not normal and we felt we were no longer wanted at the restaurant.

Our server NATALIA was absolutely amazing! So attentive, friendly and smiley. She honestly couldn't do enough for us. I praised her later on at the bar and she was so appreciative. You can tell she has a passion for customer service because of her energy. NATALIA is a credit to your business, Harvester She deserves endless praise. Thankyou Natalia, you're amazing!

Would of been 5 stars only let down by cold bar seating area. Excellent food & customer service faultless.

The salad bar in Harvesters is the main selling point. The salad bar here was well stocked and fresh. The other food was also good though it took quite a while to be served.

Server Julia was very helpful & attentive. The food was good & the atmosphere was nice. Only problems we had were pink spritz without any strawberries & my husband would have liked the salmon, but you didn’t have any.

Appreciate it was Christmas day but had a long wait. Arrived at time we booked had to wait over an hour to be seated. By the time we had been served no one else in the place so obviously no atmosphere. Food was decent enough We were not even offered coffee after the meal .

Lovely place, nice ambience. We got placed in a booth out the way of the rest of the restaurant a bit and the service was a bit slow, I feel like we got a bit forgotten. Food was delicious however and I'd go back. We went for a quick bite and ended up being 2.5hrs, which I don't expect to be the norm.

The whole visit was terrible from beginning to end. We visited for my brothers birthday. We waited an hour for food and when it came my niece's main course (mushroom tart) was burnt but still cold!! All of our food was luke warm/ cold. We felt a rough it had been sat waiting to be brought out for a long time. We were not visited at all during the meal to check if things were ok (we would definitely have complained if they had!) When my niece went to pay, the staff were all talking and she didn't feel like she could interrupt to complain. All in all it was an awful experience which spoiled the celebration.

Food was poor quality and unappetising

I wanted to take a moment to commend the exceptional service provided by Matthew during our recent visit to Harvester for Breakfast with Santa. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make our experience truly special. The event itself was great, Mr and Mrs Claus was lovely – the setup was perfect for the holiday season, and the food was delicious. Matthew's warm and attentive service made it even more enjoyable. He was friendly, professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Thank you, Matthew, and the Harvester team for creating such a memorable morning. We can’t wait to return with the children next year.

Service and quality of food was shambles! Sent back a meal as things was missing won’t be comming back and do not recommend

This is a second visit within 12 months almost a year later. My previous review was disappointing but was my first visit. I was hoping that there would be an improvement but sadly that was not the case.?

Places are made by people and our server was brilliant. She was friendly attentive and all with good humour. The location is perfectly situated and food is what it is - pub food. Place looks well used which is fine but could do with a spruce up sometime soon

Lunch for 5. Good service, nice food. Very poor way of giving menu choices for those needing a gluten free diet, why not just print a menu? Using the online menu wasawful, and the servers tablet not mush better. Needs to improve.

Visited for an evening meal after work. Really nice welcoming restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Seating area was clean. Food was really tasty, well cooked and really filling. Our server Kara was very attentive. Large car park and clean toilets. The only slight issue was a 30 minute wait for the mains after being served from the salad bar, but the food was worth the slight wait. Returned recently with group of friends and had a great experience. Service was excellent. Another great visit, had The Dirty One burger which was excellent and very well cooked. Our server Zoe was very attentive and friendly.

Came for a last minute family meal. Served by Lauren who was lovely and prompted us about the black Friday offer. The food was lovely and hot, the only downside to our visit was how cold the restaurant was. The heating was on but unless you were sat right next to a radiator no heat was travelling around the room which is a shame as eating when cold isn't a good feeling. I'd recommend to family and friends but maybe the heating should be looked at.

Not the best, one of those many places where the staff seem as though they don't really want to be there, waited ages for service, waited ages for the food. When we wondered where the staff was we found them all stood at the bar gabbing. Seems to be a common complaint on these reviews. We have allergies in the family and was given a tablet to look through to see what was safe which was great but it said gluten free burgers came in a bun and we was then told they would come without and there was also bogies stuck to the screen. Food wasn't great for the money at all, asked for the steak well done and it came dry and cremated. Defo wouldn't visit again as there are so many better places to eat. A real shame as it used to be great.

Evie served us today with impeccable service. She's knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Food was a good fill and salad bar well stocked. The decor looks a bit worn but that's to be expected in a busy place.

We had really good food here and our server Aleta was very friendly and helpful. The food being cooked by chef Nick was cooked well, served hot and the chicken was superb. The salad bar was all fresh and plenty of it as well. Overall very good food and priced fairly. We’ll visit again as this is one of our favourites. Thanks.

Really felt welcomed as we arrived. Our waiting team were very polite and came to the table quickly. Ordering was easy with good menu choices. Food arrived as we expected. The only area of improvement could be the salad bar, this was not well stocked and looked untidy. But we enjoyed our evening.

Service is generally like Leicester where staff cannot be bothered. I understand hospitality and waitressing is very hard work and always show stuff maximum respect however even at slow times you can see your food on the deck with the lights blaring on it getting dryer and dryer until when it arrives, it’s terrible, very often the bar resembles a bomb site and often staff are standing around around chatting to each other when customers clearly need help

1 star for having a deal on that kids can eat for £1. Although its only with a paying adult. As you walk through the entrance it stinks of cigarettes....this should have been the sign not to go it but I went in anyway 🤦🏽‍♀️The food was below average, the kids portions were tiny...3 pieces of chopped chicken for chicken strips! Some of it was cold. The salad was dry and withered or gloopy. The broccoli was clearly from frozen not fresh and the peas were powdery. The waffle chicken dish was dry too. The burger with pulled pork was slop! The service was worse than slow and frustrating. No one could tell me what was gluten free, I had to click through a ridiculous amount of tabs on a tablet, but the info on this was just confusing. When it had no info on the system for the childrens burger, they asked the kitchen (what was the piont of the tablet?!) then my child had to have a burger with no bun. Crap. The kids deal was poor as you could only choose from a few things on the kids menu and it didn't include drinks ...£2.10 for a fruit shoot!!! Then I was brought out the wrong meal so I had to wait untill nearly everyone was finished to eat. And to top it off I had to faff with an app and code to get the deal! They of course have terrible WiFi so this was not easy. I will never go again.

Very enjoyable evening spent, great food and of course the legendary salad bar! Staff were friendly and efficient, meals served quickly. We didn't make a reservation on this occasion but wasn't a problem despite the restaurant being quite busy. Ample parking available, car registration has to be logged on entry to avoid a penalty ticket. Disabled access to the pub is via a lift due to steps on the entrance. Would definitely recommend. Thankyou 😁

Salad was empty for the 2nd time we've been and no rush to fill it. But waitress was lovely.....

Came here about 2 months ago and it was fab but this time really disappointed. Arrived and no one came to seat us for a good 5 minutes couple of staff chatting at the bar. Once we ordered we was given 2 dirty salad bowls which we swapped went up to the salad bar and virtually empty. Asked a member of staff and was told someone is coming to replenish,15 minutes later and someone came to replenish but he was only taking one container at a time to fill. When I asked for croutons it was as if I'd asked for £1000 really disappointed.

The staff were great, the food was cooked ok but the change in menu seems to have taken all the quality out of the Harvester. The ribs used to fall off the bone and we're juicy (everyone loved them) but they were all bone and dry, much poorer quality. The other food followed the same theme, it was all a bit less than before and the kids burger was horrible, all the burgers were worse but that was awful. So disappointing for a restaurant we visit every month, and embarrassing to have taken our friends. We won't be coming back with the business like this. Thanks, Jo

The atmosphere was a little off because the chef was very noisey shouting ORDER and grumbling everytime an order was ready and she didn't seem very happy when you don't normally hear them shout.

We have had Julia today and there are many words to describe Julia but polite wasn’t one of them. As we were ready to order Julia looked at us and saw that we were ready but decided to have a chin wag instead. Julia took her time throughout the meal. She also had the audacity to say to bigger people who were sat down do they need a bigger table as there’s is small I feel like there are other ways to say this like are you happy with were your sat. When I told the manager he seemed just as clueless as Julia and didn’t say anything on the matter let’s just say I won’t be going back there

The food is as expected - it doesn’t blow your mind but given the price it’s not bad at all. Service is always fast and the team are always friendly and attentive so I have no complaints there! I’m a big fan of the salad bar but the last couple of times we’ve been, the restocking has not been the best so not everything was available. My only complaint is that the tables always feel sticky and the carpets/flooring and soft furnishings are looking very tired and warn which means it does not feel like cleanest of places.

Not the quickest of places to be served. The salad bar was non existent, I made a member of staff aware and still not restocked before we left and we were there 2 hours. The steak wasn't good, there where no check backs either. Family of 4 wouldn't return to this branch again.

I was greeted and seated on arrival by Lauren who was very friendly. I ordered the classic breakfast cooked by Adam and it was delicious!

Great outside space for family and drinks. We sat in the bar for our food as we had our dog with us. Eve on the bar served us all night and was very knowledgeable and helped us by recommending food that would suit us. Would return. Thank you Eve!

Absolutely stellar experience. Had a drink with some friends. The atmosphere was great, a very welcoming feel to the place. The staff, especially Cam at the bar, were really friendly. 10/10 I plan on going again.

We stopped off here on the way home from a weekend away. We didn't book but I would advise you to book if you can. It was a Sunday tea time and it was very busy. The restaurant area was full, but they were happy for us to sit in the bar area. The food was amazing. The ribs were a highlight. Considering how busy it was, the food arrived quite fast. I will visit here again if we are in the area again.

First tome visiting and wont be going back. Food was ok, except salad bar. Salad was brown and limited options. Bowls were wet and dirty. Also be warned about parking as this is not mentioned on website. You will get a parking ticket if you do not register your car.

Nice food good value you can pile up your plate from salad bar plenty of choice from pasta salad colslaw then cobs ect with any main meal
