Food was great but the offer was bogof on the sausage and chips meal . I only got one meal.

I have been coming here for here for A while, however .although majority of sradf are attentive except for one guy with A beard who seemed to be rather attitudy , rarher cicky & asks & ecpjains to you about pricing totally unnecessary plus habits are appauling , no interpersonal skills plus food quality slipped,, needs improving guys come on , cheers

i dont know how they dare had send us that food out the chips were all brown and rock hard and the fish was completely stuck to the chips. it was absolutely shocking.

Honestly, disappointed being that I have had previous super good experiences here, especially since this is my moms go-to for fish and chips but yesterday my service was terrible, maybe an off day but i was rushed, and just overall a rude encounter. Considering I witnessed warm interactions with other customers just got a disgusting energy from one of the staff members. Then having my burger slapped on the table with a “here, go”. Not to mention giving me different prices for the same item. Super disappointing really but probably wont be back due to this.

We always order for Moulin Rouge, we don't have a issue with them, its the website and delivery. We had to wait 2 hours for the food and we had already eaten, you need to make it easier to cancel an order or say when you don't have enough delivery persons instead of adding extra time to the delivery, as not to waste our time & money. Not good enough.

The nicest staff ever especially Oz!! Love u lots! The food was beautiful and cooked to perfection, excellent value and just all round lovely place to eat!! Can’t wait to be back!

I came from Spain to the UK ready to try the famous fish and chips and I found the right place. It is worth highlighting the enormous friendliness and good treatment that the waiter had, I would repeat without any doubt!

As a Spaniard looking for a typical British fish and chips, I loved the place. The place is cozy, without any big frills or frills. A real place. Fast food, typical and of good quality (if you are going to look for what it offers, obviously). The service was the best, very pleasant and attentive, they immediately attended to us and covered all our needs. I would go back any time I wanted to enjoy a quick and energetic meal!

It was my first experience trying the typical Fish & Chips of English cuisine and I was pleasantly happy that my first time was with this place. I had low expectations, but now I am clear that places like this are worth trying a delicious Fish & Chips (with curry sauce)

£4.50 for 1 small sausage and 1 slice of bread (covered in tuns of margarine had to scrape it off too much) and a can of orange fanta friends ordered mini fish and chip meal never got there bread with it other friend had fishcake and chips gravy was that thick you could use it for wallpaper paste and chips was all tiny ends not a very nice experience won't be going back rip off prices

I visited this Fish and Chips place while shopping in city centre. Ordered Fish and Chips with drink. Server who took my order was friendly. Order came in no time. As per taste, it was just mediocre, fish was forgettably average and chips were a bit dry. Pricing is ok. Overall, nothing to remember but nothing to spoil your palate or mood.

Always bang on, food delicious & piping hot fresh. Fish cooked to perfection & staff are amazing. Been coming here since I was a kid, no where does it better!

My sister & I visited here today prior to a theatre trip. We don’t live locally & got stuck in roadworks & diversions so only her 45 minutes before the show started. We entered, found a table & only waited seconds & the waiter appeared with a cheerful welcoming geeeting. We explained situation & that we needed to have eaten & be gone in 30 minutes. We asked for fish & chips, the waiter explained it was more cost effective to have the meal deal which we did. He was quite right. The fish was cooked fresh for us & everything arrived piping hot, the best fish ever with light non greasy batter. Fabulous chips & scrummy mushy peas. With a hot cup of tea. Simply delicious.The waiter also checked that everything was ok for us. The place was spotlessly clean & a trip to the ladies revealed very clean well equipped toilets. As we paid we thanked them so much for their swift efficient service & the delicious food. Apologised for our rush but they were lovely people & wished us an enjoyable theatre trip. We were eaten & out well within our time frame & made the theatre on time. Thanks very much all for being so kind & for the fabulous food. We will be back again but with more time to spare next time to.

Called in yesterday for curry and chips to take away - disappointed to find no curry sauce just chips which looked like end of day chips- very dry and not very edible - 2/3 went in bin

Nice place. Decor is okay. Free use toilet, Food is nice and decently priced alongside their takeaway option. They have a large indoor seating area and offer a menu of traditional chippy meals.

We visited here while in Nottingham, The fish and chips are superb, fish chunky and batter really light, not a greasy meal, Most meals are small, medium and large which is brilliant, I had the medium and it was very generous.The staff here really go out of their way to make it a really pleasant experience , they are really friendly, pleasant and if you are in Nottingham it’s worth a visit . We will definitely be back. Thanks

Delivery was awful, over an hour wait. The food arrived cold but that wasn’t the restaurants fault.

Great welcome. Food freshly prepared , cookes and served with a smile and easy manner. The chairs and tables were clean and utilitarian and the floor and counter serving area were very clean. The little brownie given at the end of the meal was a lovely treat.

Ordered just before 6 and it arrived 7.25. The order said Delivery driver was there for 45 mins, i don't think this was the restaurants fault as we only live about 7 min walk and usually always on time.The page wouldn't let me cancel the order just said waiting for a update. Disappointing Just eat.

Running late for the theatre, so popped in for quick bite to eat. Waitress was lovely and very helpful. Fish was prefect as no skin on it and batter very light. Plenty of chips too. Great value. Staff are very friendly. Now my go to chippy.

Ordered large fish and chips, the fish was more like a small fish, And cod bites was more batter then fish and was rock hard couldn’t eat them. Was a really good fish and chip shop before but I’ve noticed it’s gone down hill. Won’t be ordering again I’m afraid.

We needed a quick dinner as running late before a theatre show. Fish and chips were great! We were looked after and the meal was just right. Food good, we just had bottles of water and the price was spot on. Would recommend in a hurry or at a more leisurely pace!

I had the most delightful experience at the fish and chips restaurant! The crispy golden batter on the fish was perfection, and the chips were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Not our first visit. Group of 6 of us on holiday all had great food, all reasonably priced and delicious. Friendly efficient staff, would not hesitate to return.

Me and my boyfriend used to visit for take away most Tuesday afternoons for fish and chips the food was outstanding unfortunately my boyfriend passed away on the 6th of June 2023 so I haven't been for a while as I don't live in Nottingham but I would like to thank all the staff for making us welcome it used make my Richards day knowing that we had a good meal inside us Thank you to all the staff Joyce x

Moulin Rouge nowhere near as good as it used to be. Smaller plates equals smaller portions with food not cooked properly. Price increase well above inflation. Pity really used to be so good.

Appalling service from staff. Was greeted with ignorance and humiliation, food given was disgusting. The fish and chips were over cooked this establishment will never receive my service again. I also felt intimidated by male staff members as a female in there by myself. I don’t recommend women going to this place the staff are bullies, it’s not the first time I have experienced this treatment from them. They treat people of colour with the most utter contempt and prey on young white girls it’s disturbing behaviour.

Recently theyve put prices up and portions sizes down. I had a chicken burger in a bun with what was described as salad. Chicken burger was small, abit of shreded lettuce , small amount of tomatoe & fresh onion. Some chips. Last time i went had fish bites ( more batter than fish) small portion of chips compared to what you used to get

Hi been here a few times with my daughter and its a great place to go plus all of the staff are really nice people and the food is really hot has it is cooking why you are waiting plus clean and tidy has I all ways sit in to eat .x

Whilst on business in Notts , I went to the little Waitrose for supplies and noticed this chippy but was dubious re the exterior so didn’t go in . The next day I saw it again and a queue outside so decided to give it a go and ordered cod and chips . I’m glad I did , the service was great , other customers were friendly and the fish was so fresh and the batter light and crisp that I think I’ll break my no chippy rule and go again sometime whilst in Notts . Can’t recommend d highly enough

Had superb fish and chips from here last time I was in Nottingham, a year ago. So when I arrived this time I headed straight there before checking in at the digs I'd booked. This time I had a sit-down meal in the cafe area. I waited while they cooked the fish, so it came up fresh and hot. Much fewer chips than last time, though. The fish was decent; but not as perfect as before, since the batter was a bit wet. With a cup of tea, mushy peas, and (I skipped it) bread and butter, price was £11.90. The staff (Kurds?) were a bit sombre and didn't offer anything in the way of a cafe experience, unlike most fish-and-chip cafes I've been in. I went back the following week for takeaway fish and chips, which I ate on the wall-seating in Trinity Square nearby. This time, unfortunately, they served me a bit of fish that had been lying in the hot cabinet. Disappointingly, it was lukewarm, as were the chips. Clearly everything had been sitting about for a while, the shop being empty. Piping-hot, fresh-cooked fish and chips is the best thing ever. But lukewarm, it's unpleasant, with a loss of texture and crispness. No one enjoys that. I had such a good impression of this place before; but now I realise they're inconsistent. When you serve fish and chips lukewarm, the customer might not come back. (On this trip, I also had fish and chips from Food Factory, a place on the corner of Broad St and Lower Parliament St opposite the Pryzm building with the big sphere on top. They cooked it fresh, even though they weren't busy, and it was superb. They'd be my Nottingham number one this year. But, who knows? Maybe I was just lucky. Buying fish and chips is a risky business.)

We went here today for a traditional fish & chip meal after going to the cinema As usual the food was so good & all freshly cooked for us. The lads in there are so friendly & can't do enough for you. They even put mint sauce in our mushy peas. Fabulous .

I have used this chip shop as a matter of convenience occasionally the food has always been average but now due to the 15% increase in the cost of my meal it is not value for money.

The Fish & Chips meal deals are fantastic value for money at the Moulin Rouge, not only is the quality of the fish first class but the crispy batter is one of the best I have ever tasted. The guys who run the restaurant are very kind and friendly, especially “Tattoo Guy” who served us with piping hot tea. This place is fantastic.
