The carvery Sunday lunch is really good value for money. It's also dog friendly SO your four legged friend can come in with you. The 16 Oz rump steak special is a real treat and excellent value for money!!!! At £12.50 the Ale is great to . The staff are also very nice and chatty. 10/10

The staff here were helpful and friendly. I had 2 thick slices of turkey which were very good and the roast parsnips and roast potatoes were lovely. Did not have all the vegetables on offer just the ones I fancied. The cauliflower was not very hot and overcooked but ok. It was a quiet day and I was quite late eating, so if I had arrived at 12 o'clock I think the food would have been hotter. Very reasonably priced meal. The pub interior looks in need of a refurbishment like a lot of old traditional pubs. Feel sure it will get done as and when the owners can do it. Would be happy to eat here again on my own but would eat elsewhere if wanting to impress. To sum up-great staff and I enjoyed my visit.

3 of us went this evening for a meal and will definitely not return again.2 of the 3 meals we ordered were sent back as the lasagne in the middle was frozen on one and the other the 2 sausages were cold in the middle and raw.it came back 15 mins later overcooked burnt and not even a sorry.cost £44 and when we paid i said to the bar staff about the quality of the meal for the cost she said ill tell the manager and proceeded to carry on talking to her friend in the bar.worst experience weve ever had anywhere and if the food comes out like that someone will be ill eating raw sausages.avoid

We used to visit regularly but it seems someone else is running it now. The food isn't half as good as it used to be and that's all we went for. The rooms themselves are very dated and I don't think it's been decorated this century! Could do with a total revamp and better quality food. Shame because it used to be very nice. It just tastes like a load of frozen stuff. It's not as busy as it used to be. All the tables used to be reserved and there was always a queue to get your carvery now it's quiet and theres no where near the amount of custom as before.

Me my partner and 2 friends visited here today for a carvery & it was good tasty food. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the roast potatoes as they were still a little hard but they tasted nice dispite that. The restaurant was nice & clean. Service was friendly & efficient. The only one thing I would like for this is broccoli. My favourite veg & there wasn't any 😢

While visiting an ex neighbour who is new to the village, we decided on a pub lunch, This was a first visit for all of us and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be Special offers on Wed,Friday, and Sat lunch all at £5.25 a main course and a great selection, amongst which was Belly Pork and Liver and Bacon.our choices. Excellent value and drinks reasonably priced too.! I think it may well become a regular venue for our friend to take visitors. The other diners seemed to be locals which is a good sign as well. Brimming steak and ale pie which flows over the side of the dish....mmmmmm,! Fish n chip or is it 'whale' and chips??? Oh yes and not to forget Bob does a mean full English . Been visiting for at least 7 years and have never been disappointed .. Keep it up guys !

Called here on way to Mablethorpe, needed a couple of garden things. Had a cappucino each which came to £5.10 total, lukewarm and a bit pricey.
