I have been twice in the last couple of weeks and have had medium chips. The first time the chips was still hard and today they had no vinegar and I had about 10-15 chips in the box very poor so got refund

We were staying next door in the Days Inn and opted to have breakfast in Harry Ramsden's as part of the package. Having eaten at other Harry Ramsden's and enjoyed the fish & chips, we thought that breakfast here would be a very good. Sadly we were disappointed. Breakfast is served from 7am, so we arrived just after 7. There was only one member of staff serving and there was already a small queue as they could not cope with both taking the orders and serving the breakfasts. 10 minutes later another member of staff appeared and the queue started clearing. By the time we actually received our breakfasts and were able to sit down and eat we had been there for 25 minutes. The breakfast itself was Ok, but the sausages were cheap quality. Overall disappointing for the quality and service.

I stopped here on a wet Sunday morning about 6:30 after three hours of lousy driving in heavy rain. I was met by smiling staff, and served with a great value Full English Breackfast with a LARGE mug of hot Tea. The day definitly improved after that.

Breakfast not very hot, and incomplete (we needed to go back for the bacon which had been missed from the plates). Very aslow service, the only saving gra ce was a de cent cup of coffee.

I was very surprised with the standard of food cooked at this service station take away. Cooked very well and served by Andre who had a great attitude and very good manner.

Stopped off at the services for something to eat. Went for Garry Ramsden's and wasn't disappointed. Steak and ale pie with chips, recommended. Quick service and quality plus a reasonable price for a service area. Recommended.

We were staying in the Days Inn at the M40 Welcome Break. We went to Harry Ramsden's for a Fish and Chip supper, it was excellent. The next morning we went there for breakfast. Full English, I had extra black pudding. Only complaint was that the baked beans were luke warm.

Had breakfast here having stayed overnight at the Days Inn: if you pay for breakfast at the Days Inn you get a voucher for the Harry Ramsden in the main services building (which is really inconvenient for disabled visitors). My husband and I both asked for cooked breakfast, one of which was vegetarian. We were not asked how we would like the eggs cooked & if we hadn't been pressed for time I would have asked for the eggs to be grilled longer as the yolks were mostly uncooked. I did not want the beans but was not offered any kind of substitute such as extra tomato. The tomato I did get wasn't cooked - I've never had a cooked breakfast with the tomato uncooked. When we asked the server whether the hash browns contained onion (i have an anaphylactic allergy) she said she didn't know because they come in a bulk container that didn't list ingredients! Surely it's a legal requirement to provide customers with allergies with the list of ingredients in some form?! We were again not offered any alternative and "try it and see" is tantamount to playing Russian roulette with an anaphylactic allergy - totally unacceptable. Altogether the breakfast was a waste of money, especially at £6.99 each!

Service was ok but the food was awful! Pie was edible but had been standing for a while. Mushy peas were way too runny. The chips were some of the worst ever with loads of black and green bits. Never again

I stopped at the M40 southbound services. Friendly prompt efficient customer service from Julio, a very generous portion of delicious fish and chips with mushy peas, wonderful curry sauce, plenty of room to eat here too

The sausages here were very nice, they looked a little pre cooked but with the bacon and the fresh bread it was a very nice breakfast. The coffee was pretty decent too and served by a friendly lady even though it looked like she ate most of the sausages.

We had the fish and chips with mushy peas and were pleased with the quality of food. We wouldn't recommend that large size unless you're hungry. The staff were good and it was a pleasure being served.

Great food and service. A little pricey but to be expected at a motorway services. Everywhere clean and tidy.

They offer a breakfast roll where any four items in a roll costs £4.95. We both chose double bacon and double sausage. Big mistake! The bacon was so hard it was mostly impossible to bite through, and the sausages were the cheapest, most un-meaty I've ever been unfortunate enough to encounter. As an eating experience it ranked off-the-scale in revolting. They should stick to what they do best - and frankly their fish and chips isn't exactly world-class in my opinion. You can get better in any town.

Harry Ramsden's is a well known name in Fish & Chips, I have eaten at several of their restaurants and more than one service area displaying the famous brand.

I wouldn't normally bother writing a review about something I had eaten in a motorway service area. But I have to - the best fish and chips I've had in a long time

Superb steak pie meal. Well presented and very tasty. Good selection of food too. Good beer choices. Staff friendly. Large pub but plenty of quiet corners away from football on the tvs

A fascinating pub that we were told was once owned by Henry VIII and given to Catherine of Aragon on their divorce. Then owned by Magdalene College Oxford for hundreds of years. It’s certainly old with flagstone floors, lots of panelling and a no longer accessible secret passageway to the church across the road. Top that with decent beers, a short freshly cooked menu and friendly service
