Harry Ramsden Cheshire Oaks in Cheshire West and Chester

I have been here before with my missus and had a terrible service, this was all changed THIS WEEKEND! I walked in low on confidence with her as I remembered my previous encounter, only to be created by a lovely female staff member who I believe the name is Samantha. With her amazing, punctual, and fast service, me and my wife with perfectly satisfied. Beautiful and fresh fish, tender and crispy chips, what more can a man and his wife ask for? 10 OUT OF 10! WE WILL BE BACK!

Service staff lovely, always visit whenever we come to Cheshire Oaks but today, Battered sausages, 2 portions, we're pale and soggy, undercooked and unpleasant!! We even asked did they have a new supplier for sausages but apparently not. We were offered a refund or replacement but we declined this mainly due to the fact its not the serving staff's fault but the cook. Think we will have to give HR's a miss for a while!! Gill the server is lovely!!! And the you g guy too!!! *** today 21/03/25 back to Harry's to give it 1 more try and did not disappoint this time!!!!! Sausages we're perfect, whole meal was tho!!! Gill and staff fab as usual too!!!! See you all again soon!! (Very hopefully)!!!!!!

Sammie had a great on her the entire time she served me. It was a great sight to see someone happy to be at their job in hospitality as I've worked in there before and know how hard It is. She acted very professionally and made myself and my mates night a very enjoyable one. I would highly recommend the place as the food is outstanding as well. Thanks for a great night :)

Excellent fish & chips staff couldn’t be more helpful

It’s been years since I last visited Harry Ramsden so when we dropped by Cheshire Oaks today, had to have fish and chips! Matt has provided excellent customer service. It was busy but still remained calm yet so attentive. The electronic ordering system is a treat. Got food very quickly!

Authentic Fish & Chips at Cheshire Oaks. Fresh made to order Fish Chips, Burgers and Scampi. Served by Matt, who was professional, welcoming and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch.

We come here quite regularly and are always treated really well by the staff who offer great service everytime. Especially Gill who 9 times out of 10 is our service assistant as she was today and as always she looked after us brilliant with her usual happy outlook..

Really fast service and helpful staff. When unsure about the curry sauce, we were quickly brought a taster pot over with a couple of chips to try. Our server was also really helpful with telling us more about the dishes. Food was lovely and a great portion for the price.

Got in just at the right time of 1145 on 26 February 2025,I was found a good table to sat at & my food order didn't take too long be brought to me .I was served at the counter by Gill who was very helpful in taking my order.Ensuring I got what I ordered.

I went there with my sister as we always do when we have a day out in Cheshire Oaks. We were served by Gill as we usually are. She is just fantastic. Always friendly, chatty and a lovely person. The place was chaotic. Food served quickly. Portion sizes not the best. Was an ok meal but have had better. One criticism was the aircon was on and the place was freezing.

Had a lovely meal here with my husband and 2kids, last week. Fish was beautiful and fresh, and the chips - well they’re the best I’ve eaten! My 4yr old daughter is still taking about “the tasty fish from the restaurant”! Staff were very friendly and great with my kids. Service was quick. All in all a great place, and we’ll be back bringing grandparents along. Thank you

Went today while shopping at Cheshire Oaks. This Harry Ramsdens is good quailty as you would expect and all the staff were super friendly and ensured everything was just right for our meals. A good dining experience and nice fish bites 😊

Gill served us at Harry Ramsden, food was amazing and Gill was lovely, taking time to entertain a 10 year old! Will be back. We came back! Without the 10 year old and fill was just as good as was the food. Will be returning in the near future

I contacted Harry Ramsden's head office complaints team to let them know how awful our meal was at there Cheshire Oaks branch They replied saying thank you we will deal with it. I got back in touch saying the least I would expect is a refund or a voucher as basically we waisted £17. Not a word back from them. No problem for me as we will simply not go there again Very disappointed to say the least.

Visited here today but to say it was a very well name I feel my food wasn't good at all with the chips been a plate full of chips with eyes in I did tell the staff about this but they wasn't really interested

Lovely fish and chips just like in Yorkshire... The lady serving - Gill was so nice and kind... Nothing was too much trouble . And the lady who cooked our food - Helen didi it perfectly. Reminded me of the days as a child eating in the original Harry Ramsdens restaurant.... Well done guys.. came in the day before for a takeaway fish for my dad.. who is a picky devil, but he are every last scrap of his... Again the ladies mentioned were brilliant. We visited the Cheshire Oaks restaurant earlier today and we must say the food tasted amazing. Gill our server was very professional & helped us choose from the menu and was very polite when talking to us. Amazing service 100% recommend visiting this restaurant we will for sure be back soon.

Matt served us well. The fish and chip is excellent. Thick fish. Not salty Fries not deep fried which is good.

We travel here for a shopping trip on a regular basis and calling here for our lunch is a must. The staff are lovely and friendly. They always make us feel welcome. Gill always has a laugh with our group. It’s great that we get a discount for being blue light holders too. Food is always piping hot and extremely tasty. We will be going back

At Cheshire Oaks which has lots of choices for places to eat. Unfortunately, we chose to eat at Harry Ramsden’s. Never been to this before but expected exceptional fish and chips. Meal was very nice (served with salad cream and not tartar sauce!) but quite overpriced. Service was terrible though. Asked server for a tea and a coffee and was asked what type of coffee I wanted. I asked for a flat white but got an ordinary black coffee with milk on the side. There was a lady preparing the drinks so I called her over. Conversation: Lady: Yes please? Me: Sorry but I asked for a flat white and I’ve been given a black coffee. Lady: What’s a flat white? Me: It’s a coffee with milk. Lady: Well, you’ve got milk there. This is a fish and chip shop not a coffee shop! Dumbfounded!!! Will never go to Harry Ramsden’s again!!

Me and my mother dine here at the Cheshire oaks store, we’re always greeted with a friendly smile and seated accordingly as my mother is disabled. On every visit Gill looks after us, she always has a spring in her step, Very polite and efficient! Gill is a credit to your establishment. We always have the classic fish chips and peas, onion rings and a pot of curry. The food is always fresh and comes out nice and hot. We love dining here, the atmosphere is very chilled, the staff are amazing. This is why we keep coming back😃👏

Ordered 2x haddock and chips, including delivery it was £39. Not worth that. Food was only warm and had to reheat in microwave.

We went in and sat down at an empty table. The waitress told us to get up and wait at the door, where she came and sat us at the same table. The fish was good, the fries not so much, anyway we had a portion for two people because the waitress understood coke instead of cod. Expensive for the services they offer.

I had fish, chips and curry sauce. The food was delicious. Matt was friendly, welcoming and attentive.

Most enjoyable food although I was rather disappointed with the Tartare Sauce. Very good service and the staff and atmosphere were very pleasant.

My daughter and I visit this location weekly and are never disappointed. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and have never had an issue with any of our orders. The restaurant is always clean and tidy even at very busy times. Always a pleasure to visit.

Lovely place, we’ve walked past many times and it’s usually pretty busy which is a good sign. We were greeted by Helen who was lovely and seated us, and Will and Matt served us. They were all lovely and explained how to order. The food was really great, although quite pricey for fish and chips (£16 for a standard adults meal). I would definitely go here again
