My wife and I have been going regularly to H&H in Tesco since it opened some years ago. In all that time we have never been presented with anything less than helpful, friendly and efficient staff. It serves excellent coffee and a tasty selection of sweet and savoury food. It might sound sad that we travel from a pretty village to sit in a supermarket cafe overlooking a retail park, but it actually works for us. Thank you to all the staff (many whom have been there for some years).

As per another review, when I asked for cream for my coffee the server looked at me like I was mad and said they don’t do cream. Service was pretty rubbish really, didn’t want to assist. Meh. Costa does cream.

Apparently no one has cream in their coffee says the loud voice woman behind the counter. In fact she’s the only voice you can hear. Buy some cream from Tesco. Problem solved

We used to visit the cafeteria regularly before it changed to Harris and Hoole. We miss the meals which used to be available, especially your breakfast. We would eat here before shopping. We think the drinks are expensive.

I work in Havant and there are a few choices of coffee shops. Harris and hoole takes me the longest to walk to but I go there every time! The service is always really friendly and the coffee In my view, is by far the best out of all of the coffee shop chains. I have a medium flat white (not many other places do different size flat whites) and it is consistently excellent & the milk frothing is superb. Yes it is slightly more expensive but I’d rather pay 50p more and have a coffee to remember and really enjoy. Highly recommend 👍🙏

Whilst getting my car washed I waited at Harris & Hoole and I’m glad I did. Amazing service from Gemma and lovely tasting Flat White. Will pop in more often when I’m in the area. Also the food looks amazing which includes cakes, Brownies, shortbreads etc and sandwiches, croissants available. Also restaurant very clean and looked after.

Lovely coffee shop with a range of cakes and savoury snacks, although price is a little on the high side.

Once upon a time, this used to be a pleasant Tesco cafe. Then in the interests of ???? they stopped serving light lunches and just serve tea and disappointing cakes. Bring back the lunch time meals. Still there is an Marks and Spencer over the road as well as a Burger King just round the corner.

Having seen some poor reviews I was s little apprehensive. However my personal experience was of excellent service, charming and friendly staff and delicious food and coffee at a reasonable price. I had a snack lunch here and chose their own take on a cheese toastie. It was delicious - by far the nicest cheese toastie I have ever had. Flavoured with mustard and nice big chunky slices of bread (unlike the prepacked, ready made ones you get in some places) this was a lovely light lunch. Shame I don't live nearby as this would become my go-to coffee shop.

We regularly go to Harris and hoole as we really enjoy their tea, it was spoilt on this occasion by a very rude member of staff. On arrival we found they had only 2 cakes so we didn't bother with them, we ordered tea and waited as usual for our order to then be told they only had full fat milk in the whole of the shop (in Tescos Extra??) And if we didn't like it we can leave! We sat down with our tea with the full fat milk, just pouring the second cup and we glance over to see skimmed milk on the side. It's a shame, they really need to get some staff who know what they are doing we paid enough!

It begs the question why Tesco ever replaced their cafe with an 'upmarket' coffee shop, oh, wait a minute, it's because Tesco own Harris + Hoole! Seriously though, a coffee shop with pre-prepared food in the countries 'leading' supermarket?! Don't ever go there if you are in a hurry, typical of 'barista' style coffee shops there is a manana feel to things, so no hurrying there!

In terms of setting it's just average and fairly noisy but it is situated in Tesco's so to be expected. The service , coffee and cake were good.

Just nipped in for a hot drink whilst doing the shopping, the staff are friendly and you don't have to wait too long to get your order, sometimes the seating can be difficult but it does get quite busy.

Another corporate, overpriced, poor quality chain coffee shop, fooling the masses into paying over the odds for factory made mediocre snacks and sub standard coffee. Ideal if you have no sense of taste.

The coffee was good, as were the mince pies. The assistant wiped the table down upon request. Although it was a Saturday, our visited coincided at a quieter period, so it was not too long before our coffee's were ready. We sat near the window, thus away from the hustle and bustle of the supermarket tills.

Although foodies might find it expensive, the selection is somewhat different from your standard coffee shops. The experience of getting your coffee exactly as you want it and from really friendly staff more than makes up for it. Obviously not the place to go for a romantic interlude, the piped music and the background noise of the store preclude that. But with free wifi (reasonable speed!!) and as I said best coffee in Havant, worth a visit.

Needed a break from shopping so called in for a drink..very limited choice and expensive..doesn't fit the Tesco enviroment..strange way of collecting food..bought cake and asked for a tray to be told we would get a tray on the other counter when we got our drinks..had to balance cakes and bags to go to the other counter and was told there would be no room on the tray for cakes..probably won't come back ..its not really what I'm looking for when shopping..I like cheap with a lot of choice..just feels out of place here..

This is in the Tesco shop just by the checkouts on the first floor. Given the new stores that have opened up nearby, there can be a real problem of traffic; both getting into the car park (and getting out) and also for pedestrians trying to cross the road to get to the store. The service on this visit was good, but there is an inherent problem with the systems they are using. You queue up to order, then generally if you order food then it is delivered to you, drinks you have to collect and cakes are provided whilst you pay. This (inevitably) leads to customer confusion which in turns leads to delays and queues.I found that there is also confusion in the offering. There is only a very limited range of food and cakes, and the drinks offering is not particularly well advertised with lots of handmade signs. Again leading to delays as customers don’t find what they are looking for at first glance. On my visit the place was fairly full, but didn’t seem to have that many people actually eating/drinking – I guess there are a number of people who simply wait there whilst their other half shop! The place was reasonably clean as far as I could tell though all the empty tables seem to have empty cups piling up on them, and judging by the amount clearly not just from the last person that used the table. The food itself was OK, and served in quirky crockery. The cheese and onion sandwich was OK and was the earl grey tea which came in a pot. Also I was provided with lots of paper napkins. The downside was that it was expensive for what it is, and my particular gripe is that the slice of carrot cake was very small, though you wouldn't know this from the price.Overall I wouldn't recommend this place unless you just want a quick drink (they offer takeaway). The nearby alternatives in the new shops simply have a better offering at a cheaper or similar price, and are now easier to get to!

What was wrong with the old Tesco cafe? Food selection very limited, think Costa Coffee and half it. Strange system whereby if you order food and drinks at the same time, they will bring your food to the table but you have to wait to be called for the drinks and go and get them yourself. It should either be table service or it shouldn't, this half way house doesn't work. Not impressed, it's trying to be upmarket in an environment where it's not needed.

Staff are more than welcoming. Came here with my friend, stupidly left our drinks on our table, unattended and went to get cakes, when we returned they had gone. Staff were very obliging and made us new cups. Only thing I don't like is that the brown sugar in the tables are in jars, gives a vintage feel but not very hygienic. Prices are excellent and free re-fills on teapots. Do sta away from the peach fruit tea, disgusting

Called in on a busy Saturday afternoon, had a Posh Cheese on Toast which was really good and the Latte was delicious. Service is a bit mixed up but it was worth the wait, I am a great fan of the Costa in my local Tesco but I think Harris and Hoole is better.

Rebadged, refitted, and new menu. Gone a bit trendy in Tesco's, whatever next? Still it offers refuge from the shopping. Service was a bit slow and then you collect your own drinks yourself when they're ready but have hot food delivered later, a sort of semi self service! Lovely salad with many interesting things in and a bit of a bland Halloumi filled ciabetta bread that looked freah but tasted prepacked, not sure if it was or not. So an average experience all round accompanied by to loud music and a bit pricey for what it was, So on with the shopping

Probably the most disgusting cheese bap I've ever had. Chunks of cheese and no mayo as asked. I'm a cheese lover but this was another level. The older lady I was with, she had an eggmayo bap, and she said it was the most tasteless eggmayo she's had in her 86 years. Very disappointed.

This is a very dirty cafe. The toilets are beyond vile and the manager needs to hire a cleaner to clean multiple times a day. The cups and glasses came out stained. The staff on the tills are nice but I won’t be returning as it was just too rotten.

If a store is open until 4pm you should be able to order the menu until 4pm. Arrived at 3:42pm to be told I can’t have a cold drink because they’ve already started tidying up. False advertisement of opening hours.

We are fairly new to the area and popped into what would be our local, whilst the pub itself is fairly well presented, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough, this was spoilt by the excessive foul language coming from people sat at the bar. This was then compounded by at least 2 selfish individuals who thought it was ok to vape inside the pub, subjecting everyone in there to their antisocial habit. As a result this is likely to be our first and only visit.
