Lovely lunch. Very generous, lovely quality. Staff were lovely. Lots of choice for me, I'm veggie. My husband had sharing platter as mains. Drinks were very reasonable price. We have been before with parents and had ploughman's, which was also very good.

Great service from the young serving staff, who had very good knowledge of the menu - we had one of our party who is gluten-free. Menu choices were good, and the food was great - just what we needed after the 10k "Island Run" that morning. Prices were very reasonable at £20.95 for 2 courses, or £24.95 for 3. The gluten-free main was served on a different style of plate, with their gravy on the side, in it's own boat. Would happily return, and highly recommend.

Food was so dry. Had a burger, now normally the burger would be same size as the bun, nope. Bun was bigger, had gherkins , onions and cheese. The gherkins were like bullets, not slices but whole, cheese was a pre packed slice type, the whole experience was dryer than the Sahara, even adding sauce made no difference.

We had Sunday lunch here recently. There were 4 adults, 1 teenager and a 6 year old. So a mixed bunch. Some had the roast beef, also pizza's, chilli con carne and chicken salad. The service was great, waiting staff polite and friendly. Food was served when we needed it. All our meals were nicely cooked and presented. Good quality food. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the visit. Would recommend this place. We had booked a table and it was starting to get busy. So might be best to book if Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Superb food and service. Sirloin steak, cooked to perfection. Omelette that was huge. So many chips and fries we couldn’t eat them all. Food came quickly and service was faultless. Would recommend to anyone.

We decided to go here for a lunchtime meal with friends there was 4 of us. The restaurant itself is nice plenty of room and a good selection on the menu. We ordered drinks 2 soda and lime and a pint and half of larger one waitress took our drink order another came and took our food. We had the fish and chips , cod goujons in ciabatta, pie of day and chicken and ham pie. The food was lovely and well presented. We followed it with cheese cake and a Eton mess. We asked for the bill and when it came our friend was just going to pay it but my partner asked to check it as it was a bit high at £166. When we looked that had charged us double for everything the table number was 4 but they had put 8 covers we didn’t have double food so wasn’t sure what went on. My partner went up to the till and asked and she said it must have been a glitch in the system but if this was the case this would have gone to the kitchen and double food would have been produced. There was no apology. So it makes me wonder how many times this happens and people don’t check their bills. My friend asked the waitress if she could check others when they paid and she said no as she was too busy to do that then just walked away. It was such a shame as it was a lovely meal but the staff have an attitude problem when confronted

I was surprised how busy this place was for a Monday lunch-time and clearly popular with locals out for a lunch. The menu exceeded all the popular pub grub comforts and portions were a good helping. The bloomer sandwiches looked great, stacked high, as they should be! The star of the show was the waitress. During a very busy lunch-time service her customer service was welcoming and attentive despite being rushed off her feet. She was exceptionally organised & worked at lightening speed. I was pleasantly surprised dining here for lunch and I would return.

There were 48 of us in total and the food was very nice, hot, although obviously serving 48 people some got their food first and some last, but not late last, there were 3 waitresses and they did their best bringing out plates and calling out our names. So the food was plentiful, tasty. The dessert was cheesecake, very nice. There was a live band playing so it was a bit noisy, but the band (sorry I do not know their name) was very good and played music we could dance too, sing along too and best of all understand the lyrics. In all we all agreed we had enjoyed the evening and wouldn't mind returning for our Christmas 2024 party. Thank you to all the staff you were all troopers.

4 Sunday roasts, 1xbeef and 3xturkey. Prompt service hot meals great staff and pleasant environment. good drink selection. never disappoints

Good food, good beer, service was really slow but staff were very polite. Despite listing it on their website they don't show any televised sport; worth remembering for the world Cup!

As this is local to us we gave it a try for an afternoon lunch .A very warm welcome by the staff on arrival,decided to have lunch.The service and food was excellent ,had the 8oz Bad Boy Cheeseburger far the best on the Isle (been to several other locations) & the Mint Aero Sundae was to die for will be returning again.A very well presented pub/inn with a lovely garden & decking area ideal for the sunnier weather.

Delicious food - amazing chef. Very busy when we visited and the atmosphere was buzzing with people out for a good evening. We will definitely be returning. Very clean all round. Our waitresses were polite and friendly.

Good service & polite staff. The fish was massive for my 93 year old friend, but they enjoyed it immensely. Squid and the chicken wings were yummy. The cheesy chips were also lovely would have liked a little more cheese though. Clean toilets too!

Having been to one pub where an App had to be used to order everything; we left to go to the Harps Inn. We were met by friendly staff and given a paper menu: drinks were ordered and arrived promptly. We sat in the garden under a tree; looking out onto an immaculate lawn. To top it all, the food was delicious and plentiful. We will return.

First time visiting the pub and will definitely return again soon and highly recommend. Friendly and quick service with plenty of seating inside and out. Very clean and tidy. The food was so nice nice! Butchers board was amazing. Child friendly. Well worth visiting

Came upon this pub after being turned away from Ferry Inn because we had not booked. They were very accommodating and child friendly. The food was excellent, above all expectations. Service and atmosphere friendly. Would definitely recommend and visit again if in the area.3 Adults and 2 young children

Had a family lunch here and was very impressed. Full extensive menu offered even at lunchtime from a Sandwich/Jacket potato to a main course ! Food was excellent and staff friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend.

We paid a visit on a family holiday and I have to say this is the best meal out we've had in a long time. The food was delicious the staff were very friendly they went the extra mile to help us.

Me and the hubby visited here for a local date night. The Harps were very mindful of the Covid regs, details taken for track and trace, one way systems in place, and hand sanitizer units installed throughout the pub. The atmosphere was great, really liked the queuing system at the bar. The food was good, hubby had the enormous butchers board, this definitely needs to be eaten on a empty stomach - its huge. I had the fillet steak, which was cooked perfectly. Thank you to the Harps to providing a little piece of normality in such uncertain times.

We visited on our way through to the beach and popped in, the service was very friendly and the food even low we had kids meals( wasn't very hungry) was a very good large portion.Well worth the visit, we did spy the adult sized portions and have to admit we'd been in a food coma after eating it, definitely value for money.

Food was great, Brooke our waitress was very helpful and attentive, the standard that we have seen time and time again at this place.

First ever visit today as was on Sheppey to visit an elderly relative. Super friendly welcome (track and trace details taken). Good menu selection and all meals were well presented and very tasty. Tables well spaced and good hygiene everywhere spotlessly clean. Felt very welcome, great team..will visit again

Anniversary meal just the two of us! Virtually sitting on someone else shoulder! When I complained after coming home was told all social distancing measures had been applied! I I don't think so! Good food service excellent but this has let you down badly

Had a meal with wife, this is first time out since lockdown. I cannot fault the food it was amazing. But!! There was no social distancing in place very off putting whilst dining I had to squeeze past another table so that almost touching other people.I know they got to recoup some of the losses due to covid but packing them in is not the way to go. Shame if a bit more space would have been an excellent meal

Food ok,service slow,music loud also there was a bar fight,which was broken up very quick. Not for me.

Had the pensioners 2 course lunch which was excellent with a good range of choice and very good value for money. arrived at about 12.30 on a weekday and had no trouble finding a table. Service was pleasant and food well presented. This is will now be our watering hole any time we are on Sheppey

I must really rave about their Liver and Bacon, it's the best i've ever had.Plenty of it with creamy mash and peas, the gravy is excellent. All the meals look very appetising with nice size portions. Very friendly staff who are very helpful. Prices are very reasonable too.

Recently had an evening meal here while on a family break on Sheppey. Excellent meals, plenty of choice and a really lovely waitress. We all had a very relaxed meal and evening.

This is the second time we have visited this pub and it is very good. The staff are amazing and accommodate everyone. Today a man came in a wheelchair, on his own, and the waitress said all the level floor tables were booked but she found a table near the reception. Very thoughtful. Food was lovely. There is a seniors menu on a Monday and Tuesday but , being too young!!!!!!!!, decided to go t9 the main menu. Still a very reasonable price. Garden is lovely

Nice relaxing atmosphere for a lunchtime gathering and could not fault the food. Staff were very helpful with sorting out food for a soya allergy child and a dairy allergy adult. Will most certainly return

Had a meal at this pub with my partner. The pub is big inside with plenty of seating and wheel chair accessible. We sat out in the garden which is big,again with plenty of seating. A beautiful well maintained garden with plants and shrubs round the border.very clean and well looked after. The menu is varied with plenty of options for all. We chose burgers and fries which was well presented,hot and very well cooked. I would recommend this pub and have done .

We were visiting Isle of Sheppey for a sailing event so arrived quite late on a Friday. The lovely staff at The Harps went out of their way to ensure we could get something to eat. The atmosphere was what you would hope for in a proper pub - clientele of all ages from families to people enjoying the start of the weekend with friends. Would definitely recommend.

Checked out the review's before booking Arrived earlier than anticipated got table straight away, food arrived at the table very quickly and was hot and tasty. Were met by staff who were excellent and friendly and very helpful, we asked if we could move outside as there were some noisy people at the bar for the football, no problem, all in all a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend this place and will certainly visit again10/10

Went to The Harps Inn this evening with family and friends to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Lisa (waitress) was very polite, funny, accommodating and even went to the extra effort to get the kitchen staff to make a Chocolate Sundae for my birthday after commenting on it being taken off of the menu. She even wrote 'Happy Birthday' on our receipt. Little things like that which made our experience a little more special. Highly recommend. Thank you! ✨✨✨✨✨

I went with five friends to The Harps today for lunch. The food was excellent, even my ham salad baguette was delicious.

We absolutely love going to the Harps for a meal. We visit regular for family meals, quiet meals, meals when we can’t be asked to cook. Staff are great, service is fab and the food is excellent

Considering British pubs are a dying out and closing at record levels you would hope that pub owners would be upping their game.

Whilst the restaurant did not have a set allergy menu, the chefs in the kitchen are very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food being provided and the wait staff are very friendly and happy to provide a selection of meals that suit any dietary requirements. We had 2 dairy, 1 soya and 1 gluten allergy in our group and all were given a long list of suitable options and went away very happy and full.

Went for lunch here for mums 70 th on New Year’s Eve fantastic food was the best I ve had here and I have been going for years the ribs were perfect staff was nice helpful and very polite nothing was to much a great big thank you from us we all had a great time and will be back soon

While visiting friends at there suggestion we visited Harps Inn. The service was fantastic, good selection of beers, the food was excellent, prices for food and drink very reasonable. I opted for the fish and chips, with mushy peas, very nice piece of beer battered cod, the only issue I had with my meal is the chips were not cooked to my taste, I like chips that are more crispy, being from Canada used to a more golden brown and crispy. They did not take away from meal in any way, I still ate just not as many. My wife opted for the Traditional Lasagna which was huge and very tasty. Recommend and hope to eat here again on our next visit.

Excellent food and service at The Harps Inn. There was a big party there at the same time as we were but there was no waiting for the food and it was all very hot and delicious.

I booked a table at the harps inn a few weeks ago for a family lunch with no trouble at all, all different verity of foods to choose from that we all enjoyed. Staff were excellent, smily and friendly, also drinks were affordable. I would definitely recommend to families and friends.

I came to the Harps Inn for a birthday meal there was 20 of us. We all had different meals off of the menu which took us a while to choose as there is such a variety! One of us was gluten free Which wasn’t a problem at all. I chose the Teriyaki Salmon which was cooked to perfection. It was absolutely delicious and all my friends really enjoyed there meal too. Service is outstanding, prices are good not one fault. Definitely will be returning regularly.

We love this place . But haven’t visited in over a month , because of hospital stuff etc.

The food at the Harps is really good. The prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly. I go there a lot with friends. We will go there more in the future.

We had a really lovely meal, great service the only issue was that I had phoned the day before to book a table, it was booked and a name and contact number was taken, however when we got there there was no booking which was ok as they were not busy if the restaurant had been busy we wouldn't have had a table please can this issue be addressed as this could cause a big problem at another time.

Went here for the 1st time sunday 9th with my partner and some family. We made it a 4 some. This pub has just become cask marked and advertises drink our ales. Sadly this is not the case. "Doombar" is the only ale on sale so unless this is one you like please do not think you will get a choice. Sadly i had a gin and tonic. We all thought the service was very good. The food was hot and fresh and very tasty. We were asked how we wanted our burgers and thought this was superb.....sadly even though we asked for medium they came cooked through. They were still moist and tasty. We just thought why ask? 1 person chose the steak and ale pie and again although tasty it was not a pie. It was meat on a plate with a piece of puff pastry on the side. The pastry had net even been cooked on top of the meat. We had the meat sharer starter and all thought it was excellent. Overall i spent £100 and thought generally it was ok value for money. I would visit again but would be more careful what i order.

We were a party of 20 and our tables were set out ready for our arrival. Service was excellent and everyone’s food arrived simultaneously freshly cooked and hot.

We had lunch here today and was really impressed with the atmosphere and food. We had various dishes from the menu and it was tasty, presented well and good value for money. We'll definitely go back.

We generally have Sunday Lunch at the Harp or the Five Bridges. The Harp opens generally at 12 o'clock, it's a light and airy pub/restaurant, offering a waitress service. Recently had a good clean. The food is hot and well presented and of good quality. They have recently revamped the menu making it more like a Harvester but without the free salad. The Sunday roast menu at 10.95 for 2 courses and selection of 3 mains, starter and desert is very good value however they have recently changed their serving portions making them slightly smaller / but still good value.

Second time of coming here, menu has been changed a bit. Will agree with fellow contributor JohnanJill, that their omelettes are 'well good'. Staff were very busy but still attentive, helpful and very polite. There are not a lot of good places on the island so they will certainly keep our custom unless their game drops.

No specials board but still more than enough choice on normal menu. My wife's steak was perfect, son's mixed grill was more than he expected, particularly the two large sausages. Chicken and bacon salad was ok but nothing special, Had not eaten here before but after seeing a trip advisor report thought we would give it a try. Will certainly be back.

After looking at a couple of country pubs nearby but were turned off by loud music we tried the Harps Inn and were very glad we did. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The hostelry was clean, the service efficiant and our delicious lunch was very reasonably priced, and promptly served by very friendly staff I would thouroughly reccomend this restuarent.

Went in for lunch as not visited for a while as been dieting to have a meal and drink. Nice to see a local pub so busy at Saturday lunch. We got our drinks and looked for a table that was not reserved and took a seat. Few moments later the waitress arrived saying you cant sit here its reserved we have no more signs you might find a table in the widow area and walked off, no offer to help us find another position. We finished our drinks and left. Nice to see a busy local as said but manners cost nothing. You missed out on some £’s as we went elsewhere and will continue to so for some time.

Christmas we alway fine a pub or restaurant to have our christmas meet up in this year we choose the Harps Inn as it was very local to us all .

Food was good and plentiful. Staff were very good and attentive. A few niggling things such as one persons meal came out late, My menu had tomato sauce on the back of it, Payment was not organised properly as we were a group. They should have had a list and added deserts & coffee etc. to it, so correct payment could be made.

Good was really good & at a very reasonable price. Staff were very helpful & friendly. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone visiting the area.

My partner and I go to the Harp every Friday evening for a meal. We have never been dissappointed with the food. The service is good even when they are busy and food is cooked fresh for each order. The waitresses Lisa and Donna are really freindly and always find time to talk socially.

Good beer and pub, very average food. Excellent, attentive service, all orders correct. Not bad food but not great either. I would expect a bit more for the price. Frozen chips and veg, overcooked fried fare, pre prepared mains. Don't want to sound too negative as we all enjoyed the evening (12 of us) but a few were disappointed with the food, most were indifferent. Try by all means as it is a good pub but don't expect too much from the food. Clean site and toilets, nice garden and selection of booze. Will go back, not sure if i'd eat there again though. May try the Sunday roasts??

Mine and my family's favourite place on the island to eat out affordable, Brilliant service friendly staff and good food! Never had a bad meal would 100% recommend to anyone.

While staying in a van in eastchurch we tried to get table at the 5 bridges for Sunday lunch but none available so drove around island and found the harps inn what diamond.

Got to say it was better to than last time great staff and service steak cooked to perfection starter was also perfect and the desert was to die for great value for money

We had lunch here on a Monday for my daughters 40 birthday .Although there was a varied menu ,on the senior citizens menu the Cod and chips took my fancy . I was also expecting it to be smaller portions as I like to eat little and often .How wrong can you be ! The fish was so big it literally hung over the edges of the plate,some of our party wished they had chosen it ,I tried and failed to eat it all but it wasn't a problem as himself soon gobbled it up after he'd finished his lovely homemade pie .The portions are generous ,you would never leave hungry ,in fact not many of us opted for dessert but those that did enjoyed them . Also price wise very good value .

This is probably one of the most dull uninspiring places to go for a drink. Expensive badly kept ale and ignorant locals!!

Obviously a popular place. Light lunches perfectly adequate - even if not awfully imaginative. A good lunchtime experience make we want to return one evening. Very roomy. Quite welcoming as well.

If your looking for a quiet night avoid Saturday night. With a disco it was very noisy. However if you are looking for good pub grub this is worth a visit. The staff were very friendly efficient and the service was quick in spite of the pub being busy. The food was well presented and very tasty. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. Clearly this is a pub for all the family and worth a visit for good pub fatter.

Decided to give this place a try for my birthday lunch and as it was a friday went for the cod and chips.Nice size fish with no bones, plenty of chips. If the fish did not have skin on I would have given 5 stars.

We visit the harps a lot and never have we ever had a bad meal here. The staff are friendly too. They cater for children and my son loves the beer garden where he can play. It's always busy here which says a lot!

I am also a member of a craft group and we held our meetings in the harps but then all of a sudden 1/2 hour before our meeting we had a call to cancel a few ladies actually didn't get message and turned up they asked if they could sit in another area of the large harps in but were told no you can't stay , we all had drinks every week and some of the ladies had lunch so we were spending money. Just feel there is no community spirit at the harps in. Will never come back and I soil not recommend them to any one I know.

I visited Harps Inn twice with a crafting social group during lunch time, which was offered to us by the pub owner/ staff. On the third meeting we got cancelled 1/2 hour before the meet. We went and asked if we could occupy another area in the pub, bearing in mind is off peak and at none of the previous visits was the pub busy. We got turned away outlining its for dinners. No apology given to us. No community spirit, rude and inconsiderate pub/ owner/ staff - their loss I won't be going where I am not welcome and pass this on to family and friends

We hadn't booked a table but were accommodated for lunch without a problem. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing a children's menu and a high chair.The food was plentiful and cooked beautifully and was served lovely and hot. Waitress came over to ask if everything was ok and service was very good all round.

Didn't book for my Birthday Lunch,as most people are "partied out" By 2nd Jan. There were quite a few cars in the large car park,and the restaurant looked quite full, and people had obviously booked ahead as well. But we found a table ok, on the raised area. It was very busy, but the waitress soon brought menus ,which me & my husband knew,as we lunch there quiet often.I fancied something that was not on the menu. Waitress asked chef,who was ready to oblige. Had to wait a little while, I would not consider the service slow. The restaurant became full,while we waited,but drinks were served in the interim. 2 waitresses were very pleasant and polite. Everyone enjoyed their food,which arrived all at the same time and HOT. Probably had to wait a bit longer because of my request. I do not know what the bill was,but my son was happy to pay. No one could eat a dessert. Full up! Irish coffee was v.good.I would like to take this opportunity to thank the (lady) Chef who accommodated my request. Thanks for making my Birthday extra special.

Came here on a random one visiting friends and I was not disappointed, great atmosphere in the day and evening. We had lunch here before going for the football and it was very reasonably priced, my only moan was the steak was over cooked. In the evening they had a great band playing, it was packed so it's always a good sign. I would highly recommend this pub if you are here for a visit.

Went to lunch yesterday with an aunt. They have a set menu for OAP's at £8.95 for 3 courses. We both looked at the extensive menu before deciding on the OAP's menu. We were not disappointed. A good selection of starters, mains and desserts were on offer. Probably the best value for money around.The food was very good, loads of it and all served by a delightful young lady who was professional, prompt and with a lovely sense of humour. If this is new management, they are managing exceptionally well, if it isn't, well done to all, including the chef(s) whose skills enable the waitress to serve such good food.

Lovely pub, food was excellent had fillet steak cooked to perfection served by lovely waitress who couldn't do enough for us. Bar staff were all very cheerful and told us they have regular live entertainment so will definitely go back, well done the Harps inn.
