Hare & Hounds in Eden

Just visited H&H this weekend for a couple of nights on our way home from Glasgow. Great, great little pub. Staff and I presume the landlady so friendly, atmosphere was fantastic. As for the locals, like been in my local, funny friendly people that were having a drink and making us laugh. Thank you for having such a great boozer, I’ll be back for more!

Friendly local with some great beers.

Had the steak pie 🥧 chips & veg. It was delicious, loads of steak in the homemade pie & fresh veg (not frozen). Will definitely be returning on my next visit to Cumbria. The lady on the bar was lovely too. 10 out of 10. Thank-you.

Great little pub for a pint, with friendly staff, it was a little quiet after 8.30 pm but does well later afternoon and early evening

A grand pub, with an extremely friendly atmosphere. A nice cosy fire too where you could sit down and enjoy a real ale.

Great pub good beer selection, friendly staff and manager, real fire, outside seating area to front of pub, dogs aloud but must be kept off seating, set in centre of town.

I was only in town for the night having ridden all day pretty much on my motorbike, what I thought was going to be a couple of quiet beers in a sleepy northern village an hour before normal closing time turned into a pub bursting at the seems with great music, atmosphere and some friendly locals. Beers was great. Great price compared to what am used to down south, would definitely call in again if I was back in the area 👌

Very much a "local" pub Rather quirky with eclectic style Prices are slightly higher than expected and you do tend to feel like your the "odd one out" amongst the regulars. Not unwelcoming but not particularly friendly atmosphere either.

Cracking little pub that has warm & welcoming staff & locals. called in for a couple of beers with my wife Saturday & Sunday evening. coal fire kept us toasty and there was a good selection of drinks at a decent price. Will return again next time we are in Appleby for my pint of Guinness 😉

One of our favourite pubs in Appleby, thanks to the lovely staff and great atmosphere. The refurbishment has been done very tastefully and in keeping with the age of the building, congratulations on a job well done, love it!

Sorry got u mixed up. Called in earlier this week I dont get to Appleby that often but when I do I always call in. Staff always friendly & love the fire in the winter.

I enjoyed a couple of Coronas after finishing the Dales High Way. It was helpful it was a hot summer's day so we could all sit outside at the front in the sunshine on the picnic benches. Lovely location. One of our party had a rhubarb infused cider, having had a sip - it comes highly recommended.
