Food order we won’t be repeating I have since also spoken to a family member also unhappy with food order they used to be our go to and would always have recommended but will NOT be returning or recommending.

Best food in the area, can't wait to get our almost weekly delivery from this place. Singapore rice noodles are delicious crispy shredded chicken in chilli sauce amazing chicken balls chicken curry we have tried a good variety of there dishes and have been delighted with everything. Sometimes a wait for phone and delivery but this shows you how busy they are and doesn't negatively effect my review one bit.

Used to rate this place but has started to go downhill. Portions have got really small and food has been cold on the last few orders. Tried to ring to complain and sat on hold for 15 mins. Disappointing.

This take-away is open on Mondays when most other Chinese take-aways are closed. But I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. I was not disappointed. The food was fresh, tasty and with good portions, and the girl on the serving desk was cheerful and efficient.

Tried this place as another local Chinese has gone down hill recently. This was more expensive than most, but hoped cost would reflect in taste. It didn’t sadly. Shredded chilli beef without any actual chilli sauce and a watery flavourless satay. £30 for two rice, two very average, naff mains and a side. Won’t be coming again sorry. Polite on the phone, and delivered in good time, just let down by the main event

Best Chinese we've had in 5 years. Also possibly furthest travelled for great take out, we live up near John o Groats Highlands of Scotland. So good we had to have 2 meals in 3 days. Any time they decide to do a postal delivery service, we'll sign up. Great service, tasty, well cooked and good price.

This is the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had in 40 years, they are so few and far between these days, either very average or very poor, but Me and my dad who is very fussy about takeaways of any kind love this place & have been using the hard wok since opened, and to be honest anyone who can write a bad review of this food don’t know what they are eating, everything I’ve had on the menu is cooked to perfection, the portions are generous, and the prices are so good for the quality, such a clean tasty excellent takeaway, I would never go anywhere else, and lovely people too, my friend works here sometimes and echos everything I’ve stated !!!

Chow mein was bang on 🍜. Satay chicken absolute treat 🐔. Dumplings proper tasty 🥟. Highly recommend, but prefer it not to be too busy after this review as I like the Wok Hard service - so please be considerate.

Another great meal for 6 from Hard Wok in Hedge End. Delivered in the 1/2 hour as stated. Arrived hot, and was very tasty. Best ever Chinese, will always get our Chinese from here.

Good food and reasonable price

Brilliant and very tasty meal. Fantastic spare ribs , beef curry and special fried rice, with exquisite pork chow mein and prawns in batter. Definitely the tastiest Chinese takeaway I have had in years.

Love this place food was fantastic

Used tonight after a recommendation from a friend, happy to say the food was extremely good. Soup was one of the best I’ve had and the curry was full of chunky chicken. Delivery was about 45 minutes or so as they said so no complaints.

Anniversary meal ordered over the phone for a Saturday night very prompt delivery food excellent and reasonably priced,would highly recommend

Food here is amazing but you'll never get it as you can't get through. I've had 3 phones calling, non got answered. Cut off after 16 mins then called back cut off again 16 mins later. What a joke, this has been going on for months. Get more people on the phones!!

Was told by a few people a while ago Hard Wok was good. We ordered take away & collected, one of the worst i have had for a while. Spicy chicken was like rubber, tough as old boot & very dried up. Chefs special ribs, meat (what there was) was tough, & more grissle than meat, noodles looked dead, must have been prepared long ago. Beef in black sauce was ok. Wont be going there any more, very dissapointed.

Phoned up to place an order for delivery the first time I called I was put on hold for 20 mins and no one answered then I hung up and called again for the second time and was on hold again for another 20 mins. I have had food from here before and regularly usually good but sometimes it can be better but I don’t appreciate that I was on hold for 40 mins and this isn’t the first time this has happened either. I can understand that they can be busy but to be put on hold for 40 mins just takes the mick really. Very disappointed

Great food and great people. We was staying in the area for a few nights and after being let down by the hotel restaurant we couldn't find a decent restaurant. We called and asked if they could cater to our needs. They went above and beyond topped us up with extra tubs to use as makeshift bowls and supplied plastic forks. And the food was amazing👌 highly recommended and slightly disappointed that this amazing Chinese is over 100 miles away from where I live haha. Keep up the good work.

I Ordered a £96 delivery last night for a birthday tea for my 7 year old grandson when it arrived there was 2 portions of chicken balls Missing only the sauce arrived I telephoned and politely explained I even apologised for being a nuisance only to be Told I was lying and they had delivered them they also made me pay another £20 for what I had already paid for to have it delivered again if it hadn’t have been his birthday I would not have bothered. Customer service is appalling very sad as we have used them for a long time but never again !!

Yes there is normally a long wait 30-45 mins from order to delivery but everything is cooked fresh and to order. Very accommodating towards food allergies and intolerances. Friendly and helpful staff. Good prices. And always good food portions and flavour.

Long delivery time and part of the food was like warm . Contacted to complain but faced with a very rude lady that couldn't care less and said I was making it up , not very happy with being insinuated as a lier.

The food was superb, only thing was the portion sizes were bigger than our appetites. The food was well cooked. Will be going back again without a doubt.

Had a takeaway from here on Friday night. Was staying locally and googled Chinese food and the reviews of this one seemed ok so we went for it. I’m glad we did. Firstly, I don’t think I’ve received as warm a welcome from my own family members as I did when walking through the door of this takeaway. For a split second I thought maybe I knew the lady who greeted me as she did so like an old friend. Secondly, the food was delicious. The spicy chips were full of flavour and spice as was all the other dishes we ordered. The icing on the cake were the prawn crackers. They appeared to be freshly cooked to order and were still hot and crisp when we got home to eat them. I don’t live too far away and can definitely see me returning soon for a repeat experience.

Food was excellent first impression great will go back again.

Had a chinese takeaway from here saturday, very busy and 30 min wait but I take that as a good sign! Good value for money, chicken chow main and chilli beef a highlight, we will be back!

Chinese within this area was lacking for good quality and reasonable in price this place ticks all boxes! wont ever use any of the others now. Its clean, Freshly prepared and you can taste the difference compared to the others.

We have eaten at Wok Hard several times and it is always tasty and hot. Generally the wait time is 15 minutes although we normally eat before 7pm so it may take longer if you eat later. This is definitely worth a try if you live in the local area as in our opinion it is better than the competition.

Tried this place for the first time last night. Got a good vibe straight away, nice clean premises with friendly staff. Food was really great quality. Price was also very decent. I can see why it's so busy. Just a shame I don't live closer, miles better than my local takeaway.

Have tried countless times to place an order over the phone. But it's on hold constantly. No one ever answers. Find it hard to believe that the phone is constantly in use. I just want a takeaway but always have to order from somewhere else.

Got a chinese from here after moving into area and saw the good reviews so thought we would give it a go. It didn't taste of anything, it was so bland and boring - I have never not bothered saving leftovers before!! They clearly did not 'Wok Hard'.

Tried this one as we moved in to the area I while back and still had not tried it yet. Got to say was very nice had a king prawn chow main and crispy chilly beef and was really nice there was lots of prawns to the chow main will be using again

After telephoning order, paid £2 for delivery, came within 1/2 hour. Hard Wok is only 20 mins walk, but........ 3rd time we’ve eaten Hard Wok. Fantastic Chinese meal. All hot, freshly made. So aromatic and tasty!!! Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Great Take away, great food, young team that want to please. New to Hedge End, there were many foul rumours suspected of being sour grapes from other food businesses within the village, but they have held firm and earned a good reputation.

Where do I start? A huge thank you to the staff here. They went on and above the remit and delivered to my friend at a hotel locally. The food was beautiful and delivered in a timely fashion. Thank you so so much xxx

The best Chinese in Hedge End by far. Got a take away and the food was very nice, full of flavour and spice. The Chicken in Kung Po sauce is delicious. A decent Chinese.

Fantastic takeaway. A bit of a drive for us but well worth the effort as it's the best takeaway I've had for a long time.

Over the last few years we have struggled to find a Chinese in the area which is consistently good - until now! We have eaten here 4 times now and every time we have been pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious, reasonable and the combo boxes are a great idea (I find that they encourages less waste whilst still allowing you to have a little bit of various dishes). The crispy shredded chilli beef is delicious! This place is definitely worth making the trip from Eastleigh.

As others have said, this is the best Chinese takeaway in this area by a mile. We have a couple of meals since it opened. One hiccup with a missing meal first time, remedied quickly with profuse apologies and freebies. Fair enough. Since then perfect. A website and online menu would be helpful.

The food from Wok Hard (as it is now known) is always absolutely delicious. It’s never greasy or fatty and the flavours are fantastic.

Always top food and top service! Salted and spice chicken........woah! Will be having it again tonight! Can't help but feel a bit sorry for the legendary Hong Kong Garden though. They'll have to pull their socks up to keep up with these guys!

Most definitely the best Chinese food Ive had in a long time! I’ve always struggled to find half decent chinese takeaway in Hedge End or even a takeaway in general, I’ve always had to branch out if I was desperate but I thought Id take the plunge after a friend recommended this place to me. AND I AM SO GLAD I DID! My gosh everything was so full of flavour, cooked to perfection and staff were even better! Catered to my requirements with a smile to serve! Impeccable standards and utterly flawless. Thats my Friday nights sorted.

We are completely bored with the usual unreliable restaurants on Just Eat, and decided to widen our search further to try and find a better standard of Chinese food in Hedge End.

I've ordered a few times and this chinese take away has always been spot on! They're quite busy and so not easy to get through over the phone.

Best Chinese in 10 mile radius! People moaning about a wait for food! What do you expect from a Chinese takeaway this good!

Wow! We’ve been despairing about finding a decent Chinese takeaway since moving to Bishops Waltham two years ago. Tried both in BW. Wickham and Fareham. All so disappointing. But tonight’s food was outstanding. Special foo yung packed with flavour and lots of meat, prawn and veg. Singapore noodles has some heat and doesn’t taste of uncooked curry powder. Shredded beef with Chilli crispy, sticky not over shredded. Pancake roll crisp full of veg and meat and not greasy. Curry sauce not too gloopy. Well done! Just wish you were nearer.

We had 14 family members to feed on a Saturday evening and thought we’d have to wait a long time for the food once ordered- it was ready within 45mins!

We have had food several times from the Hard Wok Kafe and it has tasted fresh, flavoursome and not too salty. Our order is ready within 30 minutes even when busy so what is not to like! Highly recommended.

Ok I know it’s bad but we LOVE a takeaway and after someone telling me about this place we have it a try!! Omg it’s epic, we’ve had maybe 5 meals from here now and everything we’ve had has been lush and best of all they deliver! I usually get my chinese elsewhere, however noticed the reviews regarding Hard Wok Kafe, decided to take a chance. It was fantastic, Chilli Beef, Ribs(BBQ), sweet and Sour Chicken balls....Chips and curry sauce ALL fantastic. Great service, I also asked for a receipt which although they do not normally, rather than sending me packing without, they wrote out a receipt for me. Great Service, fast and Great Food. Be Assured I will be back many more times. Thank You making my evening.
