The hard rock cafe in new york was incredibly disappointing. It was nothing like any other. First of all, the food. We ordered our food and about half an hour later it came and they gave us the wrong order. We sent it back, and after another half an hour our correct order arrived cold. Second of all, the service. Our server seemed nice but was running around a lot, seemed overwhelmed, and wasn't paying attention to us and our orders. Third of all, the music. They had some radio station playing called "Road Trip Radio" which I have never heard of. There were some good artists (ramones, yeah that's it), but it was so lazy of them to just play some random radio rather than playing their own playlist with actual hits. Fourth of all, the vault. In short, there wasn't one. Some memorabilia was hung around the restaurant, like the other cafes, but there wasn't a lot of variety. There were multiple pairs of trousers from Velvet Revolver and Mick Mars, Slash's guitar, Duff McKagan's bass, Nikki Sixx's bass, and some drum kits. Finally, the shop. There were limited sizes and styles for each gender. We started at the men's section and found a nice shirt, but it was too big, so we went over to the women's section, but the shirt wasn't there. Not even another colour of the same design. We ended up buying a big mug, which was appropriate because I felt mugged from the price of the food and the $23 mug itself. So in summary, don't go there. Literally go to any other, in any other country.

Danielle and Lenny were AMAZING! I felt like Danielle was my sister from another mister. Super chill and the vibe was amazing! Good food, good drinks, great company…. Cheers! LA to NYC!!!

The burgers were almost cold, and the service was ok. As always, there were lots of people, and the service couldn't be fast.

I was dragged here as part of a group. Disappointing at best. Flavorless and overpriced. Messy plating. Multiple servers bringing us stuff, all who didn't want to be there. Sadly crowded (100% tourists.)

A stone's throw from the chaotic and dazzling Times Square. Very good food. Essential service. Nice setting but the underground room makes it a little sad. With the obligatory tip, it starts from €30 per person... a little too much.

Iconic, beautiful musical memories hanging on the walls. It costs quite a bit for what you get but it was imaginable, we are in the middle of Times Square. Deafening music that sometimes has nothing to do with rock (Carly Rae Jepsen, Sabrina Carpenter(?)). The waiters shout a little too much.

Beef burgers were good, chicken burger not so much. Sadly, they were out of onion rings entirely. Air conditioning was turned up way too much, I was almost freezing, had to warm my hands on the hot plate - for reference - 90 degrees outside, so no reason to be running around with jackets.

Decent but not all that memorable, great atmosphere but the burger I had was meh (the spicy diablo had literally zero spiciness at all!). Also be prepared to spend $20 at the minimum for each dish, stuff be pricy! If your looking for value/quality I'd check out restaurant row instead. But the atmosphere was really nice and that is the only reason I'm not giving this place 2 stars.

Cheesy. I could even finish the review with one word, but I feel it is my duty to provide other details: from the service to the venue, everything is quite mediocre and poorly looked after. Starting from the fact that the main room (where there is live music) is not very large and, most likely, you will end up in a place in the lounge where you will have a wonderful view of the stairs or access ramps, I advise you to book with well in advance (perhaps explicitly asking to be positioned near the stage). The service is decent, except that the seats are probably disproportionate to the number of waiters: constant inattention and little care also make one wonder why the tip is given... The food is nothing special; if you come here for a meat dish (be it a steak or a sandwich), I recommend you go to much better, cheaper and better places. It's not difficult to find them, even just a few steps from this place. After days of eating nothing but meat and various sauces, I wanted to have a dish that also included fresh vegetables and salad. I don't need to tell you that I was probably the first customer in a few days to order this dish: vegetables and salad, and I wasn't even brought a condiment (oil, vinegar, etc.). There was no dressing, so I can't explain this lack. To the question: "Excuse me, is it possible to have some oil?", the waiter was gone for at least 20 minutes without showing up. In the end I asked another waitress and was satisfied in 5 seconds. Do you know why the first waiter was taking so long? In the entire room there was ONLY ONE BOTTLE OF OIL. All topped off with an industrial dose of air conditioning (much worse than in other places), which was fired from under the table, directly onto my legs. The next day I had pain in my foot, so much so that I had to take a trip to the pharmacy to relieve the pain which, in the evening, prevented me from walking. I know it may seem like trivial things, maybe even of little importance, but honestly it's not a cheap place at all. The next evening I went to a restaurant specializing in BBQ and, paying half the price, I ate really well and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable! I've been around many Hard Rock Cafes and I have to say I don't know if I will return to this restaurant chain

Hard Rock Cafe is always an amazing experience. You can trust this chain for amazing comfort food, choice of cocktails/mocktails/beer etc and for vegetarians they have the margarita pizza and flat bread options.

Excellent historic place where the meat tastes great!

On every family trip, from Rome, Milan, Barcelona to Munich and now also to New York City, it is an obligatory stop for us. The Hard Rock Cafe in New York City is beautiful, perhaps most of all it is rich in history. There is a vegetarian choice on the menu, but for vegans like me just remove the cheddar cheese. Obviously a mandatory stop is also the shop to purchase another t-shirt.

We went with the excuse of buying some gadgets. If you have expectations, the place inside is quite dark with some showcases of singers' memorabilia, in this case they concerned Bob Dylan. Standard hamburgers, rude staff, but above all commercial and non-rock music. When we went there was no concert.

A visit to the Hard Rock Café is simply part of a classic USA / NYC visit. Our waiter Curtis was great and the rest of the organization was also very professional. Very happy again.

At the end of our stay in NY we were really looking forward to our meal at the Hard Rock Café. Unfortunately, one out of five meals was not delivered. When we asked, we were informed that there were no more noodles available... unfortunately we couldn't eat together because the new order wasn't brought until about 25 minutes later. Instead of an apology, we were allowed to discuss the tip with the waiter. Unfortunately, the very nice ambience couldn't save the evening.

Party of 8. 50 min wait for food. Steaks badly undercooked, flatbread cold, burger bun burned. To be fair they reduced the bill 50%. Server was excellent. Easily the worst experience in Universal

Tried many hard rocks in different parts of the world... this is definitely the most disappointing.... table booked for dinner. style venue, but unfortunately the room has no windows... and on an underground floor. really nice entrance on Times Square!!! the girl who served us was kind, whereas the boy in the room was grumpy and arrogant. I asked for ice....well.. after 10 minutes I had to ask another girl... she was walking up and down the room.... meat dish less tasty than the same one taken in other restaurants of the chain... I forgot... via served hot....

You simply have to see it! If you want to eat “real”, you should make a reservation. But there is always a free spot at the bar 🙂

We came In on Tuesday night and sat at the bar. Our bartender Aaron wasn’t the friendliest. We said hello and he immediately asked for our id’s no hi, nothing. Okkkk… then he sat down bar naps and walked away.. never asked what we wanted to drink, if we wanted a water.. nothing. I finally flagged him down and asked for a Sprite, anyways we ordered our food and my steak was terrible. I asked for medium well it was medium rare at best, it was also super fatty. I hardly touched it and informed him I tried my best but I just couldn’t eat it. He said I got you, took the plate and walked away. Ok.. I seen him and the I’m guessing manager on duty to the right where they were making drinks, the manager had my plate and I heard him ask Aaron if I wanted anything else to eat, I seen Aaron shake his head no!!!!! HE NEVER ASKED ME IF I WANTED SOMETHING ELSE, I would of said yes and gladly paid for it.. But when I seen that I was like nopeeee done. He never came back to speak to us about it, we were very nice the entire time so I’m not sure what the problem was.. anyways I finally just asked for the check, I also had to ask the bar back for a refill after Aaron walked passed my empty glass multiple times..he was not busy. I’m a bartender as well and worked in the service industry for over 10 years so I get having an off night but this was just to much… hopefully he’ll treat his customers better in the future.

Delicious food, very careful decoration, I would only tell them not to leave the air conditioning so strong, we left without having dessert, because of the cold. The rest is great.

Just had to try the Spicy Watermelon Margarita because what’s better in Summer than a watermelon margarita, plus with a kick! I just happened to order it with the man, the myth, the legend himself, Dale, who created the drink for the menu! How cool! Nicest and best bartender :)

We decided to hit the Hard Rock cafe in New York on our recent visit. We try to hit Hard Rocks when we can. The restaurant is in Times Square uptown, So it was a bus ride and a trek to get there. Once there, Times Square is a little crazy. Watch for bums, particularly those who are trying to steal your money with gimmicks like taking your picture or posing with Mickey mouse, etc. When we got to the cafe, there was a wait. It was about 30 minutes. Once we got seated, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The food was good as usual. We had the nachos, and we split a burger and dessert. The portions were fine, so we could split our meal and still feel full. Prices were high, but they had a bit of a deal on an appetizer, entree and dessert for about $45. Like I said expensive... But it is New York City. I could probably get that same deal for $25 at home. The merchandise store is equally as much. One thing I've kind of noticed and I've grown a little frustrated about with Hard Rock merchandise is that it's the same across all their locations. So if we go to Miami they have all the same shirts as if we went to New York. The only difference is Miami says Miami and New York says New York, so, it's a bit difficult for me to find a shirt that I both liked and didn't match anything else that I had. Unfortunately I was let down by our service. We were seated and ordered approximately 10 to 15 minutes before the tables around us but they received their food before us. The refills on drinks were also seriously lacking. I had to stop our waitress several times to let her know we needed refills. She was nice, but I think they were overworking her. I grew a bit frustrated as the night went on. It took us about an hour to an hour and a half before we were out, simply due to the delays. Would I be back? Probably not.

A typical Hard Rock Café as you would imagine including friendly staff (greetings to Martino😉) and a delicious burger with the best fries worldwide 👍 The prices are typical for the location in Times Square, not cheap. If I lived in NY, this would be my favorite place 😁

A great place to take the family and immerse in Rock and Roll history, though it is a bit pricey. Unfortunately, my burger was a bit small, and I received a smaller portion of fries. Despite this, Kayy was an excellent waitress.

The atmosphere is a place of if you don't like American music, don't go. They play music videos all day on TV screens. There are actual costumes of different musicians in cases around the restaurant. The volume of the music is just right. The waiter was great. He was very attentive to everyone in the area and the place was busy. I got the Bangkok Shrimp and it was delicious. Then I got the 1/2 rack of pork ribs and my dish consisted of french fries, coleslaw and baked beans. I hadn't had baked beans in years and it was good (not too sweet). The ribs were good (they were done just right) not falling of the bone and not too stiff. The french fries and coleslaw tasted normal. All that together filled me up and I knew I had to take my New York cheesecake to go. I ate that later on and it was good too. It had strawberries and whipped cream. The downside of taking the dish to go is that I had to request a plastic fork. New York has an anti waste law where you must request napkins, straws and plastic utensils if you are ordering to go. Anyway, the restaurant had no plastic forks...SIGH... The experience was good, though.

I came from Europe to see Peter Steeles' Bass in the Punk Rockers section. His memorabilia has been neglected, his name plaque is missing, his bass strings are falling off. Can you fix this? All the other instruments and musicians names look good, except Mr. Peter Steele of Carnivore and Type O Negative. It's a great place otherwise.

Very disappointed, after having been to dozens of Hard Rocks in US, Europe, and Asia. The food took very long even though it was past rush hour (9pm), it was overcooked (nachos burnt, chicken completly dry and with the sauce evaporated). The waiter was kind but forgot a few things. Overall it felt really underwhelming for what is probably one of the most known venue of the brand. The one highlight: the DJ. He put a massive party, with awesome choices of songs and very nicely tied together, he kept up a fantastic atmosphere throughout our stay

Well-known restaurant in the middle of Times Square. We got a table without a reservation. The prices were as usual for the restaurant chain. The waiter was very friendly and put us in a good mood. The meal was okay.

The service was amazing. I had one of their international burgers. Their servers were very attentive even as busy as they are. They made a truly great tiny experience worth every penny.

How do you serve fajitas and nachos but not have salsa? Why don’t you have hot sauce and only offer wing sauce? These seem like very basic condiments for a restaurant of this size.

Hi all. The location is great. For both tourists and local residents. The food is delicious American style. The service is very fast, the waiters are friendly and always ready to help. The place has many exhibits related to music. Legendary place. I recommend it to everyone.

Being a Hard Rock music lover, I used to love going to each Hard Rock Café in every city that I've visited. My experience in NYC was the final straw. We walked-in at 4:45 and the front desk told us it would be a max 45 min wait. We said OK and went to the "bar", as they recommended. There was nobody working there, so we asked if anybody was working. The ladies at the front said "Oh, the bar is actually inside, the bar there is just for decoration". Huh?! OK... We immediately got seats at the bar and it took our server a while before acknowledging us. He finally gave us menus after 10 mins of us just sitting there, watching Pop (Fergie, Nelly Furtado, Florence, etc.) music videos on the TVs. I thought this was the HARD ROCK Café, not the POP café?! Our nachos were OK, nothing to write home about, but what do you expect for $8 from a tourist trap. Drinks were good. I guess you can't really mess up straight bourbon and a mixed drink. We finally got seated 1hr45 mins later (1 hr later than promised by the front staff) Limited-time burger was very good, as were the sides. Our server for the table (Manny?) was good, not exceptional. She seemed rushed and pre-occupied. You lost a good customer as I've spent hundreds at this place. It's a shame because your food and ambiance are actually very good!

Ok so the food is average, with stale tasting nachos & over steamed fajita tortillas, but you still feel you should make a visit when in NYC. Our waitress was delightful & really attentive. Portions are ginormous so be warned if you are European.

I knew this place would be a bit tourist trappy, and in fairness, the atmosphere and memorabilia is the main draw. but I found the restaurant disorganized and the food a very bad value. Made reservations for 545pm, then we got texted to come and waited another 20 mins in the lobby. The servers and the staff looked like they were disorganized, due to changing of shifts or possibly a lack of a manager...just nobody seemed like they new how to handle things professionally. kids burger was soggy, $20 for 5 chicken sliders were a mess as it's just a chicken nugget in a bun with some coleslaw. one thing I will say is that Our server James made the experience tolerable. he was upbeat, organized and his timing of service as well as attitude made this a higher rating. One suggestion I'd make is to put up signs or ropes, at the check-in desk asking people to line up in various sections....people try to organize themselves and jump and cut the line and the hostesses were overwhelmed...no win situation Update: I do appreciate the management reaching out to me to try and right the situation. it does show they care and take feedback seriously. hope fully everyone else's experience will be better

Good service until we left the cell phone charging and another waiter walked by quickly and broke my charger, NO ONE APOLOGIZED!! A charger today is worth a lot, maybe the price does not differ in the comment, they broke it and no one apologized

Perfect authentic Hard Rock Cafe - the best I've visited from Bali to Warsaw. Noisy, fun, a huge line at the entrance - how could it be otherwise in Times Square? The food, of course, is not from Michelin star chefs, but no one promised this - wings, burgers, nachos, but everything is honestly delicious. The service is very good! I wouldn’t make a special trip here, but if you find yourself in Times Square, stop by, you won’t regret it!

Classic Hard Rock Cafe, with its classic dishes, but I would especially like to mention the French fries, one of the most delicious I have ever eaten, everything else was of consistently good taste, the staff was very nice, we had to wait a little long for orders, but you can understand how people were heaps, the atmosphere in the restaurant is simply indescribable, a lot of attributes of popular rock musicians, the place will be just super for fans, I recommend visiting.

The Hard Rock Café, for me, is a great institution. I try to stop by every time I visit a new city where they are located, if only to taste the atmosphere and see the decor. I have also often eaten very well there (in London in particular), but on this occasion in New York, everything was catastrophic: Nachos dry and arriving cold, burgers tasteless, and even the Made in US service, usually so attentive and efficient (tips oblige...), they forgot us and made fun of our English, although not so bad ;) in short... big disappointment

We first visited on Monday 1 of July, 1130amish. Served by lovely guy. Dont know his name. Food was delish and loved it. We returned last Monday and had not such a nice time. The waitress had a serious attitude and ruined my experience. I wish Id got her name as she needs to adjust her attitude.

Yes, it's a chain burger joint but still a good, solid place to eat! Growing up, no matter what city I was in, I always made it my business to stop at a Hard Rock Cafe, even abroad! Haven't been in years. Peeps I was with selected, & it didn't disappoint. Our server was full of fun & great suggestions.

We took our daughter to Hard Rock for her 10th birthday. The food and drinks were all delicious and surprisingly reasonable for NYC. However the real rock stars (pun intended) were the entire staff who made our daughter feel like a VIP. Our waitress Lola went out of her way to make the visit special, complete with a birthday sundae. And when our daughter asked about BonJovi memorabilia, she said she would find out. On a holiday weekend, with a busy restaurant, I truly didn't expect her to have time...but sure enough, at the end of our meal, she brought over another employee named Earl who escorted us to the New York Room. He guided us through the room showing us not only the BonJovi items, but explaining the history behind other items we had questions about. His knowledge about the items and Hard Rock history was second only to his patience and kindness. He was fascinating to listen to. Finally, as we were getting ready to leave my daughter's favorite BonJovi song came on. She started dancing as any excited 10 year old would do and the staff of the store cheered her on and sang along too. From top to bottom, it was an amazing visit & we were very impressed.

A must see for anyone in Times Square. Better (and a lot nicer) than the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Maple Bacon Bourbon Bloody Mary is to die for. Huge venue!

We were on vacation in New York and we dropped in at the restaurant on June 23. We were told that there was a waiting of 45 mins so we gave our international number to receive message when our table was ready. We returned after 45mins and the lady informed us that it our table was not ready but we could wait at the bar. The bartender asked us for ID and I tried it show it on my phone. These days who really carries the passport around especially when your on holiday. We keep it in the locker at the hotel. The bartender refused to serve us. I asked my chatty American neighbor at the bar if he was asked to show his ID and he said he was not. I went to speak with the manager and the lady at the front desk. The manager supported his staff and said it was their policy and law. Fine but then they could have informed me this at the time of taking my table booking. I waited for 45+ mins, more than enough time to goget my ID from the hotel room. Also want to point out that after staying in New york for 10 days and never being asked for ID anywhere it was a real disappointment that an established restaurant situated in the heart of tourism and having so many visitors visit them treat their customers like this. I found them unprofessional, unpleasant and racist. Disappointing

A fun place to have lunch. One drawback is no windows, but there is so much paraphernalia on the walls there is plenty to look at. I mean it's Hard Rock Cafe, they are all pretty similar :) They are a fun place to eat and a people pleaser. Glad we chose to stop in. My chicken Caesar was actually really good 👍🏼

When I sat down I was asked to show my ID even though I didn’t order any alcohol. and then a different waiter came up to me and asked to see my ID again. After I told him somebody else just checked my ID, he asked what I want to order, I asked if can I see a menu because I sat down and was given no menu. He came back in 1 minute and continued pestering us to order. I was also there to watch the big game. Their wings were 20$+ for 6 measily wings and the burger literally fell out of the bun onto my lap because the patty was tiny. It was Smaller than the buns for sure. The onion rings tasted freezer burned. I finally gave up trying to eat and just asked for seperate checks, I was with 1 other person. 10 minutes pass and nothing. So I ask again and still no check. At this point I spent around 30 minutes just trying to get the check to leave and be done with that place. Nice atmosphere but the food was terrible. Service was horrible HORRIBLE. Never going back. Warning all of my nyc friends not to either

It is one of the indispensable places of every country. You go there out of curiosity and the atmosphere inside. The burgers weren't great, but they were good. It's a satisfying menu when accompanied by potatoes and sauces. I recommend you to go, but keep your expectations for food at optimum levels. A nice place to have a drink and buy souvenirs.

Called in for a couple of pints on a sweltering hot day. The 'cafe' has a few local beers which we tried ice cold thankfully. A really impressive Hard Rock not only with a great range of memorabilia but impressively - a stage for performances. Sadly, none booked for the short time that we were there. Not too busy. We have been in several Hard Rock Cafes around the world, incl Japan, London and Europe, and this is one of the best atmospheres. The display of guitars donated (by Gibson I think) make for another interesting display - thankfully, I presume that they were factory 'rejects' before being cut in half? :-)

We ate really well, once the fajitas which were a treat, a Caesar salad and another time ribbs + fries that were so good, finger-licking as well as a quinoa salad. The atmosphere is great and the service is fast. The only downside is that it is cold inside, you have to remember to take a sweater or jacket before entering each restaurant, because the air conditioning is always present.

Big disappointment…. Half of the store was inaccessible and we had to leave !
