This is the best fish and chip shop in the area. The fish and chips are consistently good. You see regular customers from nearby villages, they travel to Harbour Light because of the standard of the food produced. The premises are always spotless, the staff very friendly and the prices are better than prices at other shops.

First visit since moving to woodhall spa, beautiful fish and chips, the place was so busy people queuing before it opened, friendly staff, very clean, great price and the Yorkshire fish cakes amazing, will be a firm favourite of ours

Consistent high standard, immaculately clean. I cannot fault it as a take away. Regulars for some years now and is definitely our favourite in this area. The negative review is definitely for somewhere else as harbour light is take away only.

We popped in here for fish and chips as one of our party fancied this for tea. Oh my word it was absolutely amazing. All cooked to order and as fresh as can be, orders taken and then a wait while it's prepared. It was the lightest batter, the softest chips and a side order of batter bits! Only open three days but it's worth waiting for I can tell you!

Whilst driving past, we decided to try this fish shop.We had heard good reviews, We were definitely not disappointed ! Lovely fresh fish and chips, and I tried the Yorkshire fish cake.I have not eaten one for over 60 years..when living in Wakefield. Prices excellent, we definitely recommend this friendly place, it's now going to be our " chippie " 😊

We travel from Grantham for fish and chips and they have always been top notch. There is always a queue and food is cooked to order. The only poor review on this website must be about somewhere else by mistake as this is a takeaway only. Yorkshire Fishcakes are a speciality. Only wish they were closer

We have been using this chip shop for about a year after getting fed up with other options locally around (we live about 5 miles away). They have been the most freshest, crispiest and cooked to order fish, chips, sausages and scampi we’ve ever experienced. We are so lucky to have tried them. The fact they only open on certain days simply makes them all the more cherished. Fabulous staff, great telephone ordering and great value compared to local competitors and blow everyone out of the water when you taste them. There’s never any oil on the wrapping - how do they do that?! You must try....

Having heard many good reports, we decided as a lockdown treat to travel 25 miles to try this fish and chip shop. Due to current restrictions, perfectly set up and staff and customers both safe. The haddock and chips were great and looking to returning for the new tates in due course. Prices very reasonable for such quality.

The Quality of Fresh Fish lightly battered to perfection puts this place well and truly on the map. Been lucky enough to have a weekly treat once a week these last 8 months ( bar the Worlwide Pandemic of course) !!...The fish is just quite lovely..chips none to shabby...Well worth the travel if you are not local. I only moved to Mareham Le Fen 8 months ago, everyone mentioned the Fish and Chip Take a Way..I now see why. Top folk who run the place...Top Tip..Go for the Jumbo cod well worth it.

This is by far the best F & C shop around the Coningsby/Mareham area and worth the 5 mile trip to Mareham and back. Fish cooked to order as soon as you walk in the shop so always fresh. Beautiful white fish and chips of decent size. Batter is nice and crispy and not at all greasy. A good menu selection to choose from but you can't beat the F & C.

We had booked a table for my mother’s 60th birthday on a Sunday, 9 people with 2 children and 1 baby, no children’s menu were supplied and was originally told a smaller or cheaper option for kids could not be supplied. There was no high chairs for smaller children also, they then told us they do not accommodate for children, which should of been highlighted to us when we booked as we did state there would be 3 children. When we arrived we ordered our meals, after waiting almost an hour for our starters we asked if the food would be out soon, the starters arrived with most being soup, after we all received our food we had to ask for spoons and additional condiments. We then waited over an hour for our mains to arrive, after having to ask once again how long the food would be. I had the lamb which was nice but 2 members of our party had chicken which was very dry and inedible. We had a birthday cake with us to present to our mother after our meals, we gave this to a member of staff when we arrived. After we had finished we asked if they could bring out the cake to which they said they could not as they don’t allow cakes to be cut in the restaurant we said this was fine as we just wanted to sing happy birthday, after some hesitation the waitress agreed in turn ruining the birthday cake ‘surprise’.

Stumbled across this place by accident as we explored off the beaten track. A new establishment with an abundance of home made goodies, cakes and treats. Everything from hot cooked meals, snacks, light bites with a very good selection of hot and cold drinks. The lovely owner was incredibly warm, friendly and accommodating as we were a large group and had both wheelchair and pushchair. Really worth the visit if you're in the area. I'll definitely be visiting next time I'm here.

Took my parents for Sunday lunch. It was busy. Staff were friendly and polite. The menu is extensive and the roasts are not just your standard meat and veg. I had the chicken breast wrapped in pancetta with apricot stuffing. The chicken was tender and moist. The stuffing was lovely but I would have like a little more of it. The Yorkshire pudding was excellent if you prefer your pudding not to crispy. Very nice cauliflower cheese but the stork of it needed more cooking. The beef was very tender but ask for a steak knife as the normal knives just pull it apart. We had extra gravy and it was very good.

Brilliant service, stunning food. The kids enjoyed the homemade vegan and gluten free food and have asked to go back for the tegg, sausages and faken. The wife and I absolutely loved our pick and mix breakfasts (and the free cuppa top up!) & had a lovely chat with the family that own the place while they prepared our food. First place we've been able to go where they can cater for all of our needs, fantastic! Will most definitely be back!!
