Brilliant service, stunning food. The kids enjoyed the homemade vegan and gluten free food and have asked to go back for the tegg, sausages and faken. The wife and I absolutely loved our pick and mix breakfasts (and the free cuppa top up!) & had a lovely chat with the family that own the place while they prepared our food. First place we've been able to go where they can cater for all of our needs, fantastic! Will most definitely be back!!

Friendly and helpful staff, a really good vegetarian and vegan menu alongside a standard menu. Freshly made to order - the home cooked chips and Faken burgers were amazing. Will be visiting again when we come back.

Cannot praise the snack basket enough . They delivered a wonderful goodie box to my Dad for Father's Day. Box contained a wonderful ploughmans plus much more. Food perfect and service absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much.

This is our preferred place for take-away bacon & egg and sausage & bacon sandwiches. Absolutely delicious and by far the best in the area!

This is a small family run business that always gives friendly service and serves great food. They also do a very good vegan menu and we have tried most dishes all of which we enjoyed. The desserts are fab too. Especially the cheesecakes.. If anyone thinks vegan food is boring you must visit Snack Basket as the food is so tasty and filling. Includes vegan breakfast, burgers, sausages, kebabs, etc. If youre planning a day at the seaside you should visit. We love having this cafe nearby. Recommended!

First time visit, definitely will be going back

I popped in for breakfast while my clothes were washing in the nearby launderette. I was tempted by their "All Day Breakfast" and I wasn't disappointed. All food is cooked to order and I asked for my bacon to be well done. It was perfect. I loved the decor; an interesting mix of goth and steampunk. (The Halloween decorations blended well, too, ha ha.) The two ladies who were serving there were both very friendly and helpful. They also offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cuisine so everybody is catered-for. I will definitely visit again.

Everything is freshly cooked just for you. Friendly staff and classic food at very reasonable prices make the Snack Basket the place in town for breakfast and before a brisk walk along the front.

Went to the snack basket after researching somewhere that offered vegan food. Not just tea and cake, or salad and baked potatoes. The snack basket does do the above, but also offers substantially more. I had the chickless panini (gluten free) and sweet potato fries, while my family member had the double faken burger, both were delicious and filling. The coffee with soya was also delicious. Will definitely be going back.

Had afternoon tea with a group of friends and it was the best I’ve had. Beautifully presented, freshly made sandwiches and the cakes were perfect. I ended up having two cream scones because they were so good. Staff lovely too so if your in mablethorpe, I would highly recommmend having your lunch here.

We called in on our way into town for a coffee,this is a nice friendly and welcoming cafe. The drinks were spot on the prices very good and the staff warm and welcoming.Will drop in here again no problem.The breakfast menu looked good but and reasonably priced.

Everybody knows the sausage is the cornerstone of a great breakfast, but how often do you get a decent one? I was very very impressed at the Snack Basket!!!! Really good food, great service, free refills on the coffee and amazing value for money. Would highly recommend. Thanks Guys.

Had a great breakfast. Clean, fresh and very nice. Good value too! Only small but plenty of tables. Shame they aren’t open Sundays as we would have gone again.

Good food and cheep staff are very nice and helpfull by the beach and in town just the place foe a light meal iv had a good cupper and snack here

Wow.what a great place..excellent value and lovely owners

We've been to Lady B.s. cafe before and really enjoyed it. We looked today and it was very busy but just next to it we spotted this little cafe which caught our attention. A little look at the menu revealed a simple straightforward sounding selection of food at excellent prices. We weren't disappointed when the food hit the table. A couple of sandwiches and a couple of baked potatoes were enjoyed. However, i did see one chap get his full English brought to him and it looked good. When here you must try the chips. I've eaten many chips but, outside a couple of favourite chip shops, I can say these are the best chips I've where eaten. My little lad also confirmed that in his eight years he's never eaten better chips than this. 🍟👍. The two ladies running it showed great service throughout, always smiling, helpful and when it started raining a bit they helped us move our stuff inside which was no mean feat after a trip to a local market. When back in Mabo or the surrounding area we will be coming back here for sure.

Has new owners and a new look in side, yet it is still the best place to get a Panini and breakfast. Reasonable prices. Will recommend.

Having never visited Maplethorpe before we didn't know what to expect, not only was there loads of motorhome parking we happened to find this great little cafe too, an amazing breakfast all freshly cooked, highly recommended
