It was pouring with rain when we arrived. They’d been really busy but now it was just us. We got a fantastic welcome and then a superb simple sparklingly fresh meal. Incredibly good value and excellent. And lovely company from the owners.

Don't usually do reviews but had to comment on the salmon quiche, I have had the quiche on three separate occasions and have to say I loved it, generous amount of salmon and pastry was perfect cooked to perfection not to dry and certainly not soggy, hence repeat visits, also tried their seafood basket very tasty and generous portions. The lady also makes an excellent lemon cheesecake. Highly recommended.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. Clearly some people have no taste and should stay at home. Service was brilliant and the food was excellent. Would definitely come back!

Drove 2 hours from London today to see friends newly settled in Broadstairs. The sea! I fancy crab sandwiches. Googled that 'Fruits de Mer' fish shop had an excellent reputation and suggested that we go there, buy crab, some bread etc. Walking round Broadstairs saw the Harbour Kitchen. Friends said had people say they had good sandwiches. Nice whole dressed crabs in the window (£7.50 each) so I said I would treat all 4 of us. Paid £30, said would go to the pub round the corner and come back soon. Nice drink in the Magnet pub, I walked back to get sandwiches. Walked back to friends house. Sat down and friends put out sandwiches. The bread looked like very basic wholemeal supermarket fare. Opened up the sandwich and was so, so disappointed. All that was there was a thin spread of brown crab meat. Don't get me wrong, I am one of the few people who like brown meat, I like brown and white. BUT the brown meat (which is the cheaper of the two), was spread to a thickness similar to butter. There were flecks of white meat, that's all. I am used to seeing crab sandwiches with fillings the thickness of my thumb! We all said that there was hardly any filling, I felt that we had got £5 worth and sandwiches and this place had mugged me for the other £25. I have written good reviews before, but this is my first (and hopefully last bad review). Drove back home feeling mugged and incensed.

We ordered a Salmon quiche (4 pounds, never seen a quiche like that, undercooked and with cream cheese) and a Salmon and cream cheese sandwich (5 pounds, very basic, a slice of smoked salmon in between two wholemeal basic slices of bread, a thin layer of cream cheese). Extremely disappointed and still hungry after this lunch. The quiche is hardly edible. It's usually not great when you can't see food on display or how it is done. That will teach us. Never again. PS: The person taking the orders is very friendly and polite though.

In Broadstairs for a brief break and walking through the town looking for a lunch spot not much was open being a weekday out of season. The food was great, my wife had the seafood platter and I had the moules frites, followed by home made apple pie and custard and warm chocolate and marshmallow cake with ice cream. All delicious and very reasonably priced!

Food was great no issues there, it was very quiet when we visited, so atmospheres a bit dead, staff are ok not rude but not the happiest i have ever seen.

Ordered from Zests afew times now. Great choice of pizza toppings, pizza isn't really greasy like other places can be. We've also had chicken nuggets and chips from Zest, portions are a really good size and a reasonable price. We always order through their site and everything come piping hot with a friendly delivery person.

I came to Ramsgate as a tourist. At about noon I went into this pub and asked if their kitchen was open. Outside a sign stated food all day. The very apologetic bartender said sorry, drinks only. Disappointment, because the place looked ok. She directed me towards other establishments near by, so thanks for that.

Very rude, poor service. He wouldn't let me place an order because "people always forget or fall asleep". I had a long day at work and told him that he was the only place left open to order from. I'm not sure what kind of business refuses a delivery on such shaky grounds but I'd advise anyone looking for a late night bite, to avoid this place.
