We sat on the leather lounge chairs by the fireplace which was the best spot in the house. I had the seafood linguine and a vegetarian curry, both were ok

Fabulous evening at with the Harbour Inn, looked after by Jane, who was wonderful and gave us so many recommendations of places to visit. The chief Becky is to be commended for the delicious food. And Alan was so welcoming and friendly. Loved our evening here and will come back again very soon 💕

WOW What a find the Harbour Inn was for us first time in Padstow and we came across this amazing place staff were so friendly and welcoming the piano session Sunday was brilliant. We were only going to stay for one drink but ended up staying for a few hours. The food is fantastic and freshly cooked Jane who served us with smile was lovely. We stayed in Padstow for a week and ended up in the Harbour Inn 3 times for a drink and food (the chicken curry was delicious) Thank you to all the hardworking staff hopefully we will be returning soon.

From the moment we stepped in, it had a warning character and relaxed feel. If you are a fan of steak and ale pies then you HAVE TO HAVE IT. The pepper pot is a must as well. Great food great staff. Thank you for full happy tums. Xo

A wonderful warm welcome from Jane and as usual all the staff were awesome ! This has to be my favourite pub in the town , the leather couch is the place to sit if it’s free. As usual the food was great , but it’s the general atmosphere that makes this one of the best pubs around .

Lovely meal good value for money and can't recommend the steak and ale pie anymore stunning soo tasty and a good portion ! All the family left full and happy with there choice. Staff were lovely especially Jane who we had a lovely chat with. Will defo be back again soon !!

Wonderfully cozy pub offering a snappy menu popping with locally sourced fare. The mussels are from literally down the road! A refreshingly authentic contrast to the generic offerings throughout Padstow. Child friendly with full facilities. Very friendly staff giving highly competent service. Great food and service, we've been coming here for a few years now and it's always good, you can bring your dog in, and one of the few places with a pool table (so you can play your dog at pool if you want)

Gorgeous we live in St Austell and have just started to come to Padstow more often and we love it here. Fab staff, great food with excellent and rare options to choose from, some really comfy sofas, just a lovely place to be with a really homely vibe. Can't wait to visit again tomorrow.

I'm coeliac and the chilli nachos were delicious. The barman checked to make sure it was OK. My partner had the steak and ale pie and raved about it. Dog friendly and snacks behind the bar. Really welcoming. Highly recommend. Jane was really attentive and made sure everything was OK for us.

Fantastic place! Food was top notch and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, particularly Jane, who was stand out! By far the best place to eat/drink in Padstow.

Lovely place for a drink and the mussels were so good. Jane served us with a friendly smile and was a lovely host.

Lovely pub, we had drinks which were reasonably priced. There was also a pool table which was great!

Loved it here. We had a great waitress in Jane, who was very helpful and friendly. I believe Becky was the chef, who prepared great food. The steak and ale pie was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot!! Must also mention the bar staff who were all extremely friendly, and made a fuss of our little dog, bringing treats and water. Overall a great pub. Thanks to all for making it special.

Fantastic find. Just fancied some muscles and they didn’t disappoint. We had a prawn cocktail starter which was fresh and a big pot of muscles to share. Amazing quality muscles in a delicious rich sauce. Pub is very friendly with welcoming staff.

Food was delicious. Open mic night was great fun and the staff were lovely. V busy on a Friday, so get there early if you want a seat!

Had the pleasure of stopping at this pub for an evening bar meal a couple of weeks ago The pub has incredibly friendly staff is dog friendly and had a good selection of drinks I went with the steak and ale pie and would have gladly had it for the next 3 days , full of steak and a nice gravy and short crust pastry my wife had the fish and chips which was equally as nice with tender cod in a lovely beer batter Definitely recommend 👌

Fantastic pub, really friendly staff and lovely food. Kids menu was also good, our little guy loved it. The live music really topped off the evening. Would 100% recommend and will visit again when next in the area.

Lovely time in this super place. We were looked after by Jane and our crab sandwiches were prepared by Sam. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious! We'd cycled from Wadebridge and really looking forward to crab sandwiches, they did not disappoint!

Wonderful lunch. Curry was yummy and my husband devoured his pie. Jane was a super friendly and helpful and advised of the evenings activity so we stayed on all day.

Popped in to the harbour inn for some lunch and a beer. Food and beer were very good. I had the fish stew with some crusty bread. My wife had the cheese pie with a side salad

We arrived at the end of their evening service but they still found us a table last minute. We had the steak and ale pie and seafood linguine. The food was gorgeous and the service and welcome were amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby.

Welcoming and staff doing their best, however, only one vegetarian option and even the fish was cooked in beef fat, odd...the mussels were some of the smallest cornish ones ever seen, although cooked lovely.

Really wanted an afternoon tea. My husband saw they did a crab sandwich so that’s made up his mind . We asked if they did scones. The kitchen had just closed but they took our order. The sandwich was delicious and a good size. My scones were served warm and also delicious. The staff gave us a warm welcome. Lots of dogs so very dog friendly. Highly recommended

What a gorgeous little find! We’ve been to Padstow many times but have only just discovered the Harbour Inn. We visited as two families, with four (very energetic!) children and could not have been made to feel more welcome by Jane and the team. Food was absolutely gorgeous, atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and we would not hesitate to recommend a visit. We can’t wait to return. Thank you 🫶🏼❤️

Fantastic fresh crab sandwich prepared by Wendy and Sam in the kitchen and great service from Jane who made the children really happy with the colouring crayons and rainbow paper. Lovely local ales too.

A lovely warm and welcoming pub in the centre of Padstow. Amazing service from Jane and fabulous food from Stuart & Shane (the chefs). We had the Fish & Chips which were freshly battered and genuine home cooked chips, all done to perfection. Thank you guys!

Arrived after a long mid January overnight sail from Salcombe crossing the bar with the tide and drooling at the thought of a cooked meal . . . we had been messaged to get to Padstow and to eat the steak and ale pie at the Harbour Inn . . . so, of course, we did. It was all we had been promised large portion, succulent, crisp pastry and rich filling . . . definitely five star. Set us up well to depart on the tide next morning before battling the Bristol Channel.

Lovely staff, clean but bet yet is their fish and chips. Dont bother with the Rick Stein resturants nearby, this is better

The Harbour Inn always provides amazing food, friendly service, great atmosphere. We have always had the most amazing home cooked food. We always come back on every visit to Padstow.

Cracking Cornish Pub. Great welcome, great food, great service. Jane - wonderful server. Shane and Stewart in the kitchen are doing a brilliant job. Visited in January for live music and the trip didn’t disappoint. Highlight within Padstow.

Fantastic food we had lunch on Sunday. I had the steak and Ale pie. My wife had the roast beef Sunday lunch. Both were lovely. Staff where very pleasant. The waitress introduced herself by name and also told us the names of the chefs cooking that day. My steak and Ale pie has got to be one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back. What an absolute gem of a place. Highly recommended

We visited on the weekend for an evening meal, such a lovely place with a great atmosphere. The food was amazing the fish super fresh the chips home cooked and delicious and amazing service thanks to Jane Shane and Wendy friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Arrived late in town and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful Jane, Aidan and another member of staff especially who managed to sort us a sandwich when the kitchen had closed would highly recommend, the pub itself is a bonus

We came to have lunch on Sunday 5th January. We were not disappointed the atmosphere was really good like a harbour town of old, the guys were fantastic, the open fire added to the warm relaxing feel. The nut roast was to die for. Even our little dog was spoilt. See you soon guys. And big thank you.

We visited the Harbour Inn just before Christmas. There were 7 of us during a busy lunch time, but the team were able to accommodate us by moving some tables (thank you). We had 7 meals. The food is definitely ‘pub grub’, but a high standard! We came back on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day for drinks which was lovely. Great atmosphere.

Ruth your team are great you should be proud of them, Jane front of house is amazing thank you for your help in finding a table and looking after us. Your chefs Shane and Bo well your food is amazing. Loved the Sunday dinner and also the fish finger sandwich. They party atmosphere in the pub NYE was also great a good mix of people of all ages, families and locals. We would definitely recommend this pub to eat, drink and sing with the resident pianist Jonny. Right on the harbour. Once again thank you for your hospitality xx

Great service by Jane, good food by Shane- although one of our fries were not hot, the fish and the burgers were all perfectly cooked and delicious

We went last year, and had the fish stew which was absolutely wonderful, and we have been again this year and it was really lovely, in fact it was better than last year. Last year was a little too spicy, and today it was perfect. The only criticism is the bread that was served with it wasn’t overly large, and when we asked if we could have some more bread we were told to go to the bar to order some more. We waited 15 minutes at the bar to order the food and drinks in the first place, so naturally we declined, we didn’t want to be queueing up at the bar to pay for more bread while our food was getting cold. We mentioned it to the lady who I think might be the landlady, and she wasn’t impressed. So hopefully this won’t be something that happens on a regular basis. Apart from that it was delightful. Had they brought some more bread, I would have given it five stars . We paid £60 for two stews, a soft drink and a glass of wine. So not a cheap lunch, and therefore a little bit of extra bread without being told to go to the bar and queue up and pay for more bread, which would’ve taken another 15 to 20 minutes Isn’t a big ask. The bread is the cheapest part of that meal, so why on earth they couldn’t just give us some more bread is beyond me.

Tucked away on Strand Street, the Harbour Inn is a traditional, family-run pub that exudes charm and warmth. Serving freshly made, locally sourced food, this spot is a must-visit. We tried the steak and ale pie, and it was amazing—packed with high-quality meat and rich flavor. Many diners around us were also raving about it, which speaks volumes! The service was friendly yet professional, (a big shout-out to Jane, who worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was looked after) and the ambiance was delightful, with a roaring log fire, festive Christmas decorations, and a cosy vibe. It’s clearly a popular choice, and perhaps its independent, non-chain status adds to its appeal. We enjoyed it so much that we visited twice during our short stay. Bravo to the team—highly recommend!

We've just enjoyed a lovely boxing day lunch. Seafood Linguini - lots of fish & a creamy, nicely spiced sauce with chilli. The ham, egg & chips were excellent. Well cooked Shane. Very attentive service by Jane & well kept real ales made for a very pleasant lunch.

Great pub, lovely food, nice ambience. We were looking for somewhere for a pub lunch and we're so glad we came here. What a nice pub! We've looked through the window several times in our many previous visits to Padstow. We're so glad we finally gave the Harbour Inn a try. Immediately after sitting down we thought it had a nice feeling with just the right level of background atmosphere. The food was delicious and we were served by a very friendly lady called Jane. We will be back on our next holiday to the Padstow area.

Lovely traditional pub in the centre of Padstow. A lot larger inside than it looks from the outside. Very pleasant bar staff and a wide selection of real ales. Would highly recommend and definitely be back.

We arrived on a wet Sunday lunchtime to a warm and jolly welcome. We had Sunday roast ( chicken for one and nut roast for the other) the staff were very accommodating to our food preferences. We chose the small portions which were more than enough for us. The food was lovely as was our overall experience. I would definitely recommend!

Lovely staff here, made us very welcome with our small dog and the warmth of a real log fire, but the highlight was the incredible steak & ale pie with beef dripping chips, one of the best S&A pies I’ve ever had with suet pastry and the chips were perfect. My wife had the sea bass fillets and she said they were lovely. Highly recommended.

Nice little pub with friendly staff. I had the garlic pawns and the steak and ale pie, and they were delicious! The pawns were massive! Lots of meat in the pie that was cooked beautifully. My husband had the blue ribbon burger and enjoyed it. Also, it's dog friendly.

We were told about this pub after it was highly recommended by a local dog walker who we chatted with during our stopover. She explained that it was super dog friendly and the staff were great there too. She wasn't wrong. We went in around 11:30am and there were a handful of people in the place. The fire was roaring and the feel of the place was fantastic. My wife got me a pint of real ale and the dog a bottle of, 'Bottom Sniffer' dog beer too. It even came with a bowl and an individually wrapped chew. We ordered our food from a very inviting menu and weren't disappointed when it arrived. The food was fantastic. The lady serving could not have been nicer. Her name was Sue and she was a genuine delight to talk with. We told her how nice the food was and she named the staff working in the kitchen that day. Sadly, I forget their details, but I thank you all as a team. By the time we left, the pub was full. We wished we could have stayed longer, but our time was limited. However, we will be back. 5 star review... I wish there were more stars to give.

Lovely place but very expensive. The staff were amazing but the food let's the place down. £9.70 for a glass of wine. The sizzling prawns were underwhelming. Six prawns and two slices of hard baguette. Mussels were laced in garlic and most of then were closed. Didn't meet expectations 😕

Been to Padstow many times but never been in the Harbour Inn before. We have missed a gem, friendly staff great food I had steak & ale pie with new potatoes. The wife had Mussels which she said were best she has ever had.The prices where great two,the open fire was so nice and made it homely. We will be back without doubt
