Authentic chinese hotpot restaurant in Queensway. Yes it’s a chain restaurant but it’s a rather complicated concept, famous are the spicy soup base and then various ingredients and they are all like having it in Beijing.

Just don’t bother . Food not worth it and bad customer service. It’s not worth a visit just find a better place to enjoy your time.

I had never been to a hotpot place like this before so was excited and probably over ordered, but I was keen to try lots of the things. I was recommended the place by people in the know, and it was a fun and enjoyable dining experience, was great value for money and I am definitely going back. We went for the two broth option, one non-spicy and one spicy and think this is the go, although by the end - everything was a bit of a combo. The servers were friendly and the food arrives fast. The menu has indicative times for the different items to spend in the broth. Tips for beginners like me, use the spoons provided to keep track of some of the things you add the broth so it is easy to find and retrieve it when it is cooked and the meat is really thinly sliced and cooks in 15-20 seconds so put your noodles and vegetables in and get them done first and then just do the meat as you go. I wanted to try the pancake, dumplings and a few other things because I wasn’t sure how I would go with the hotpot, but I didn’t really need to do that in the end as the hotpot experience was super fun and I got into it pretty quickly. It was a date night out in London for me, but could see there were lots of big groups of friends all out having big communal experiences around us, and it looks like a great place for groups to go for a catch up, have a few drinks and have great fun dipping and sharing tips on the best way to cook different things. I imagine it would work quite well for groups with different dietary requirements. The staff come and top up the broth as needed, so don’t worry about getting stuck into it. I was impressed with balance of flavours in the broth, even before I started getting into the noodle, vegetable and meat combinations, and as the meal progresses the broth takes on the flavours of all the things you add. I’m getting hungry again just writing this up, so if you’ve found this review and can’t decide what to have for dinner, go here, it’s worth it for the experience alone, and the value for money was great.

Delicious food however when presenting a 20% voucher they said 'they don't do this anymore'. This didn't make sense as I had the email confirmation which states 20% off. Luckily we came to an understanding. On another note, I don't understand why people are so frustrated at the fact that they had to cook their own food? It's literally a hotpot restaurant.

Le service est rapide et agréable. Large choix : viandes; poissons; légumes et la cuisine a du goût. La salle était complète. Nous avons passé un bon moment.

This is a Chinese hot pot place, not Japanese ... Nice food but you do need to know Chinese hot pot food before you go or go with Chinese friend.

Booked a table for 3 but they could not locate the reservation. Then given large oversized communal type table which would be unsuitable. After several requests agreed to move us. When ask for extra rice had to ask 3-4 times and wait 20 mins to get some more. They are clearly ran off their feet and need more staff! overall food was tasty but very salty.

Our family has gone there twice. Service has been a bit mixed, but people try hard and I can see that communications is sometimes difficult for non-Chinese. Food and dishes are good, fresh, and well prepared. I laugh about the other reviewer who complained she had to cook her own food. That is the whole point of hot pot. Good restaurant, good food, good vibe. Haidilao I find marginally better, but the lamb dishes I find unique to this place. I especially like the BBQ skewers.

This joint must get the prize for the most innovative idea ever: Get the customer to cook a very ordinary hotpot themselves then make them pay for it! Got charged for this practically tasteless lamb dish. Also for a coconut juice out a can and boring old ice cream mocha. Felt skimmed at end of meal so I AM NOT THEIR MOST HAPPY CUSTOMER!

We can’t travel to Hong Kong at present, so this was a wonderful alternative. Cantonese Muzak, staff and traditional hotpot. The food is fresh and beautifully presented. Both the meat and the vegetables cook within seconds. A fun place to spend time with family or close friends

service is terrible. i visited on a sunday (april 24) and reception was atrocious, despite having booked in advance. good service was slow, kitchen gave us wrong orders, and the best part is that some staff seem to be hanging about in some corner eating and chatting. the worst service is from some long haired (covering his eyes) guy who was rude to us, unresponsive and constantly chatting with another staff cutting the meats. couldn’t see his name badge clearly but it was Lin or Lim or something.

Unfortunately, despite the food being presented well and tasting okay, the service was very poor. Firstly, when we arrived, the staff were not helpful despite the fact that we asked for help with the menu. The first plates arrived in a reasonable time and were alright but when asking for basic things like water, I had to ask 4 different waiters for it and it took them over 20 minutes to bring it to us. We also tried pressing the electronic service button as well but didn’t seem to be working. Finally, when we asked for the bill, we had to wait 40 minutes for it to arrive. Once again after asking 4 different staff members. When I explained that I wasn’t happy with the service, the waiter threw the bill at me. When I tried politely explaining my experience to the manager, he did not apologise and just said that they were busy. Overall very poor service and rude waiters, which is a shame because the food was alright. Would not recommend.

Interesting food concept of Japanese Hot Pot, but ideally it is preferable that one is familiar with this style of food. If you have long legs you need to be careful as to where you are seated as there is little leg room between the banquet seating and the box housing the gas cylinder under the table. Service was slow and no handover between staff and had to get up twice to get a waiters attention - may be opening teething problems. The chicken broth was very well flavoured with red chillies and various berries and leeks but rather spicy hot! Quality of king prawns, mini octopus, Chinese lettuce and spring onion flat bread were excellent.
