my first time eating at a wagamama and what a strange experience. so me and my friend ordered starters, mains and drinks. everything came in a weird order: my drink, her starter, her main, my starter, her drink, my main. there were so many staff members who never seemed to stop running around yet it still took 15 minutes for my drink to arrive. the food was average and pricey. then when it came to paying you have to pay with a QR code then you have to put your table number in but we didn’t have one, then it took a few minutes to call a staff member over to ask them what the table number was. won’t be returning.

Restaurante de la cadena Wagamama en Covent Garden. Cocina asiática sin sobresaltos. Si ya has estado en alguno de sus restaurantes sabes perfectamente lo que te vas a encontrar. Platos abundantes y sabrosos. El bao de pato una decepción pero el resto estaba todo bastante bueno. El servicio muy atento y rápido.

The food is one thing, you already know it’s going to be inauthentic Asian, but the environment is just so chaotic, there’s multiple groups sitting at the same table, the waiters are clueless and untrained, it’s a weird mix of online and waiter ordering, the open kitchen shows the chefs just reheating things- not cooking. The food itself was also just terrible, somehow too spicy yet had no flavour and the rice (I mean really how do you screw up rice here) was too watery so the grains stuck together is giant sticky lumps. So embarrassed I even came here but flat iron was closed, don’t make the same mistake as me, especially not in covent garden where there are so many more options.

Always our go to when we visit London and until now could never fault it even when covid restrictions were in place . This was our worst experience with food and service .was never asked if we had any allergies when given menus. Food was tasteless, and clumps of hard overcooked noodles with my meal . Service was very slow, and when given the wrong order and another missing /forgotten, you'd thought we'd asked for the earth. No apology . Very lack lustre service .

Me and around 9 friends went to Wagamama for some dinner. We all wanted something small so we went for the kids menu to keep it cheap. When the food arrived the was a strong smell of cigarettes but I didn’t think much of it. After all are food arrived we started eating the smell and taste was overwhelming making us all feel really sick. We soon discovered it was coming from the katsu curry sause but at that point it was all over are rice and chicken. After we had paid and left we all felt very sick some more than others too the point were we couldn’t bare to walk and felt as if we were going to be sick. The vomit feeling went away after 45 minutes but for a day after we all felt very ill. Not to mention when we split the bill to pay and we picked 10% tip the tip was for the over all price of the meal not the part we were paying for so some of us paid £6 extra each ontop of a 8 pound price of our meals

Over the years the experience with Wagamama has been ever slightly disappointing. The place is kind of a mess and the service is chaotic. A lot of free tables inside and people freezing outside waiting for a table. In the same service we got 5 different people serving us. However the food is still what makes me come back. Very tasty pad thais and delicious ramen.

We made a quick stop here late afternoon as we needed something to eat before we got our train home. We were seated fairly quickly as it wasn't too busy and we were given our menus and ordered our drinks swiftly. However from that point the service slowed down even though the place wasn't any busier. Now we now how Wagga's works so totally accept that food comes out at different times but we had finished eating when the last part of our order arrived (we thought they had forgotten). No one checked to see if our food was ok or if we needed anything which is not the normal for Wagga's. Overall the food was good and hot and the place was clean and comfortable. Toilets clean and fresh. Unfortunately it's not my favourite Wagamamas so I would probably choose somewhere different to eat next time I am in the area.

After a short wait in a queue outside, I was taken to my table. I waited and waited and waited until a waiter asked me if everything was OK. I explained that I had been waiting. He said he thought I'd finished. I ordered. My side dish came quickly but not cooked properly and cold. My Ramon followed and was OK. Pretty awful experience.

The staff were excellent! We were sat super speedy even though there was a que for walkins, the server noticed our young niece with us wasn’t feeling great and made sure we were sat and ordered quickly. The lady who was serving us in our section was an absolute delight! For being absolutely slammed during a busy half term, we were blown away with the level Of service and food today. Thanks to the whole team!

Myself and my friend had a very bad experience at covent garden london wagamama's on 16.02. It took nearly half n hour to bring our drinks, when questioned we were told by the manager that the drinks had to be prepared again due to waiter tripping over and spilling the drinks and apologised We order our meal, this took 40 minutes, when it arrived it was cold, we complained again and they took the dish away and waited another 20 minutes for another dish, this arrived cold again, this time we really did show our annoyance, the manager apologised and said we did not have to pay for anything and so rightly we shouldn't, we were sitting down for nearly 1.5 hours now, feeling very annoyed that other ppl arrived after us, had eaten and gone we told him we are leaving and will not recommend or be coming to this branch again, staff and manager were extremely unprofessional If only ihad the option of giving no stars that is exactly what this restaurant deserves

Okay -we come to this Wagamama often. Love the food - vegetarians and vegans in our group. The menu changes regularly. We like the way the food arrives as it is ready. I'd like to shout out to the staff on this visit - they exceeded expectations. We hadn't seen each other for over four years and so we had a lot to talk about. So, we were not very prompt in ordering. David was a star. He remained good-humoured and well-mannered, and didn't feel that we were annoying or time-wasting. He then sat down with us and discussed the food choices - knowledgeable, helpful, witty, and kind. His manager was also lovely when I told her about how helpful he had been. Congrats to Wagamama for finding people who make dining there such a lovely experience. Unusually brilliant (for London!) first class experience. Food was great, and thanks to David's input, I actually tried something new.

Stopped in for lunch with our 5 year old. Asked for a quiet area and were shown to the perfect table. Had it been occupied already, though, I think I’d have struggled as it was very echoey and noisy with loud music and noisy children. Waiter (Harsh) was very attentive. Food was yummy! Our daughter even ate all of her children’s chicken noodles, and she’s a fussy one!! Only issue was the QR code to pay didn’t work so we had to wait rather a long time for a waiter to come and bring the machine to us. Lovely ambiance and atmosphere in this restaurant.

We visited on Sat 3rd Feb 2024 around 17:30 after taking in the Phantom of the Opera. We met up with my son and daughter in law at the restaurant for a meal before we had to catch our train home. The food was magnificent and the staff very friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again.

Absolut keine Empfehlung! Es gab eine Schlange vor der Tür, obwohl einige Tische frei waren. Wir (5 Personen) bestellten alle Getränke und Essen, sowie insgesamt 1 Vorspeise. Zuerst kam ein Hauptgericht. 10 Minuten später das 2. Weitere 5 Minuten später das dritte und vierte und die Vorspeise. Ungefähr zu dem Zeitpunkt kamen dann auch die Getränke. Das fünfte kam nach dreimaligem Nachfragen insgesamt 25-30 Minuten nach dem ersten Gericht. Wir bestellten dann noch 3 Nachtische, die alle 20 Minuten nacheinander kamen. Aus irgendeinem Grund gab uns ein Kellner dann einen Kuchen aufs Haus. Dieser stand am Ende auf der Rechnung sowie ein weiteres Hauptgericht, das wir nicht bestellt hatten. Auf die Rechnung warteten wir auch 20 Minuten und mussten mehrmals nachfragen. Noch nie haben wir so schlechte Abläufe und unmotivierte Mitarbeiter in einem Restaurant erlebt. Das Essen war ok.

Bad experience. They kept us outside in the cold weather for long time 🥶, even though the place inside was half empty 😕! The waiter told us that some part of the restaurant were closed but also the open session had dirty tables 👎 (customers left and nobody cleared the table all the time we were waiting outside). Also the floor was dirty under some table 👎 Very little piece of fish in my sister in law dishes.

You either need more staff or a re think Rubbish customer service- saw 2 servers laughing and having a private chat??? I get it if they are on a break but then why be on the restaurant floor . Avoid unless you are happy to wait until next year for something to eat

It's another branch of Wagamamma. Maybe you've been a few times already... maybe this could be your first? On a thumbnail, easily approachable versions of Japanese and other oriental cuisine, freshly cooked with fresh. Comes when it comes. Something for every palate. What distinguished this Tuesday evening was the absolutely impeccable service, from everyone. Relaxed, friendly, attentive, helpful... Of course, you have the choice to order food and even pay by scanning a QR code, to make your experience extra impersonal; but I don't recommend it. With a team as good as this, why miss out?

As nice as any Wagamamas, but just a little bit pricey as it's in a popular area in London. The problem is, around lunch you can expect the queue to reach outside the store, so the waiting times are mad without a booking. We pre ordered on the website (which I recommend for takeaways) and still had to wait 15 minutes past our collection time. Bit of a bummer really

Food was good, black prawns appetizer was great, duck dumpling was not good, calamari wasn't good, chicken ramen was decent but a little sweet. Service was slow too begin with, we had to do find someone to take our order. Then food came quickly in bizarre order with appetizers coming last. Noisy and lots of kids, staff aren't on top of keeping the doors closed so it's drafty near the front.

I will not be eating in wagamama any more. Very sad to see they are using farmed salmon. This involves boiling fish down to feed the salmon and depleting african coastlines of fish. What a shame

Service is good. Staff is friendly and makes you feel welcomed and takes your food orders promptly once ready. Makes good recommendations. But thereafter may have been less attentive than preferred. We made many calls for soup spoons but never came as they were busy. Rice dishes were great. Soup based noodles however were bland and somewhat disappointing. Nice desserts and drinks.

A very lackluster performance from a brand I love to eat at. Giving it a 4 SOLELY because of my server Chloe. Super sweet, amazingly charming and just all around adorable. Ordered a cocktail they charged £8.7 and it’s not even a half glass. Told them I was allergic to cucumbers, and my dish came out with cucumbers after the kitchen told her it didn’t have them. Luckily it’s not a death allergy as I consumed some of the food before tasting the cucumber. She sprang into action to remove the food, get another dish and even offered to get medical assistance if I needed it. Second dish came out ZERO veg at all, we know bc she requested I check the food to be sure they didn’t get it wrong again. Chloe stopped by regularly throughout the remainder to ensure I was alright, I was, and apologized profusely for the mixup. Would only come again for Chloe.

Customer Service exceptional. Ordered online and given a slot of 6.20pm to collect. At 6.55pm I was still waiting despite the order being chased up. Charlotte took charge, delivered my order to me at the bar having arranged a drink for me and proceeded to not only apologise again but took it upon herself to arrange a full refund as she wasn’t happy with my length of wait. I also received a gift voucher to spend in any of the Wagamama restaurants. After half hour of waiting and starting to feel annoyed, the experience was completely turned around by Charlotte with her genuine concern and desire to make up for the experience. It’s this customer service and connection with customers that give Wagamama a good name and she is a credit to the restaurant. Charlotte - Front of House Manager)

Entre le bao et le ramen, je me suis régalé. Malheureusement, l'organisation souffre certainement de la taille du lieu, du nombre de couverts en simultané. En effet, mon entrée est arrivé après mon plat et je l'ai vu au moins 15 minutes sur le passe, attendant d'être servi. Évidemment , il est arrivé froid. Au global, j'ai passé un bon moment, l'ambiance est dynamique, les grandes tablées que l'on partage rajoute au dynamisme du lieu quelques petits détails à améliorer cependant : par exemple la cuillère en bois est très belle mais très peu pratique. Malgré ces quelques désagréments, je vous invite à découvrir car la qualité des plats est au rendez vous !

We were made to wait 20 minutes before someone came to us to take an order after which we were told that we would have to wait again for a manager to be able to take an order due to my partner's allergy. We then waited another 20 minutes for the manager to take an order, then waited 20 minutes for food, only to be told that they hadn't actually put the order though for my partner and had forgotten half of mine. In the end we left hungry and annoyed, and as we were leaving could hear the manager having a heated conversation and swearing about something in front of customers by the exit. If you have to have that conversation do it out the back, frankly it was embarrassing.

런던 여행중에 김치찌개가 먹고싶어서 들른 곳 1. 맛 - 최최최최최최최악,극악임.. 아시안푸드 안먹어 본 사람이 모양만 흉내내고 파는 곳 2. 분위기 - 사람들은 많고 정신없는 분위기 3. 점원태도 - 사실 이거 때문에 리뷰씀. 마른 흑인 여자 점원이 우리 테이블 담당이었는데, 주문 받을때부터 띠꺼웠음 그냥 설렁설렁 대충 받고 끝. 바쁘니까 그럴수있다 생각하고 넘김. 근데 바로 옆테이블 백인 가족들한테 대하는 태도는 완전 친절 그자체 ;; 손수 볼펜으로 글씨 적어주면서 메뉴 확인까지 해줌 ;; ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그 다음 우리 테이블 콜라가 나왔는데 테이블에 콜라잔이 깨질듯이 올려놓음,, 그외에도 부르면 봐도 못 본척(자리에서 일어나 손수 모시러가야 오심 ^^), 불러서 주문이나 테에블 넘버 알려달라고(이것도 주문 할때 알려주는데 알려주지도 않음 ㅋ)요청하는데 무표정&대답도 안함ㅋ 특히 테이블 넘버 알려달라할때도 볼펜으로 써주면 되는걸 굳이굳이 잘 들리지도 않는데 말로만 계속 알려줌;; 하 진짜 최악의 점원이었음 런던 와서 점원이 이런 태도를 보이는건 처음 봤고 아시아인이 싫다면 아시안 음식점에서 일을 안하면 되잖음 ..? 아 .. 능력이 안되나 ? 하긴 그 인성으로 어딜 갈수있을까 너가 ,, 진짜 선오브비치 니가년이었음 ^^! 절대 이 지점으로 가지 마세요 !!

My best Wagamama experience. The staff were cheerful and friendly and helpful ( especially Chloe) even though they were busy and the food was the best ever. I was already a Wagamama fan but from now on it will be Covent Garden whenever possible.

After almost 20 years away from London, my wife and I took our kids to Wagamama on our first visit back to the UK as we used to love going there. We are pleased some of the old favourites like the yaki soba are still on the menu but there are also some really good new additions as well. Flavour and serving size were very good but what we were most impressed with is how much care and precautions they took with food allergies. They went to great length to ensure anyone with allergy can dine safely at the restaurant. My daughter who suffers from peanut allergy said it was probably the first time she felt a restaurant took her allergy seriously and she felt completely safe eating there. Thanks for a pleasant dining experience.

I was making myself a joy to going back to Wagamama as I was in London on the 3/12/23 and how much of a deception and quite frankly disgusted! 1. I agree with one of the other reviews on the rush rush. The queue outside was huge, the restaurant absolutely packed, hence the rushed service yet not to the expected quality! 2. The waitress dumped my plate on the table so much she was running everywhere, she didn’t care to elongate her arm to actually put it in front of me. That’s nothing compared to what’s coming next. 3. The cutlery, was absolutely disgusting, I am not joking on this please be careful to the cutlery you will use, cause I could still see the traces of other people’s mouth on it, I queried it and got other ones but all of them without exception were dirty ! I don’t think they change the water of the dishwashers nor do they care to verify before disposing them on the tables. I reminded them that we just got out of a pandemic and massive lock downs, that didn’t seem to make her tick of a point I had, I live in Australia and guess what, I came back with Covid positive! I could swear to have caught it there. 4. I had to ask five times to get my drink, it’s took them pretty much the whole meal to manage to bring it to me. Never again.

We went after spending time in Covent Garden and we have often been to Wagamama so expected the great service. We were taken to our table after the people who had arrived after us and they said that they had come after us- we were ignored when we said the same. When we arrived at the table The two groups of people were served before us? When our food came mine was tepid, my son’s was fatty - lovely server apologised for the wait - However we have never had a bad experience at Wagamama so really disappointed.

The food came quickly, and was delicious, we chased up our drinks some time into eating....1 came, we assumed the rest would follow, chased up again with someone else, then we chased up again with our waiter, after some time we finally got the rest of our drinks, I had finished my meal and the others with me almost had. The drinks were plonked on the table without so much as a sorry for the delay. Odd because we normally get great service and we weren't rude, he just didn't get a tip (again, you have to be this bad not to get a tip, I know or assume the wages aren't great). Anyhoo, can't always get great staff, food still lovely! 👍
