Happy House in Southampton

First time ordering here as most Chinese places closenon Ruesdays..who knew

Found this Chinese through friends as was fed up paying an absolute fortune for a takeaway and it being mediocre. But my god this isn't just good value for money but also great size portions, always hot, tasty and the delivery drivers are always polite as well. Very happy 😊.

Absolutely useless every time I order from them they are always late food is always cold and they don’t do anything to fix it been waiting 2 hours tonight just to get told my food is here now even if is an hour late and no apology go elsewhere!

Disappointed disgusting food … food poisoning never felt like this eating a Chinese

It's nice here...and the people that work here are very nice... Sometimes there is a bit of a wait...but it's not too bad....and the food is nice... We go back there for Chinese so we are happy customers 😀

We changed to this Chinese when our regular one closed for refit and we are now staying with this one. The food is always hot and tasty. The delivery is always earlier than stated, and the delivery staff are always happy and friendly

The food is really good but we often wait a long time for delivery. It's been almost 2hours since ordering and it still hasn't arrived. Have called to see what's happening and no apology given. Will be looking for a different Chinese

Awful. Curry had a funny smell and tasted even worse. Shredded beef was dry and thick. Happy family tasted similar and as bad as the curry. Prawns in sweet and sour were the strangest I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if they are going down and their food has final suffered or what it is but the food was disgusting and I am far from fussy. Sweet and sour sauce, balls, Singapore noddles and bean sprouts were nice. Not all bad but won’t be returning as wasted good money on the main dishes that went in the bin.

We were looking for a new Chinese after moving to the area. We tried a few but this is hands down the best in the area. Not a single complaint. The sweet and sour chicken balls were a lovely big serving and super crispy. The special fried rice had so much flavour and was seasoned perfectly. Chow mein was perfect and crispy beef was delicious. And even better it was very reasonably priced and we managed to get 6 servings from £30 worth. I can't wait to come back!

We have tried a fair few Chinese takeaways in Southampton, but after going to Happy House we have 100% found our go-to favourite for Chinese. The special fried rice was perfect whilst also being very reasonably priced. The chow mein - flawless. Sweet and sour chicken balls - delicious. All the portions were great and the flavour even better. Best chinese takeaway I've been to in a long time.

Used for the first time after noticing my best friend using them for a long time and ive since been ordering from here absolutely delicious food and highly recommended A+++++

Awful, food arrived half an hour late and cold. When l phoned up to ask were the food was l was told it was Friday night and a lot of orders. I ordered the food online at 15.00 to be delivered at 18.00. Chips were cold and soggy, they were inedible. The mushroom curry and the rice was barely warm. We only live a few minutes away. The shame is when we pick it up ourselves it is always hot.

We have not ordered from here before but we will definitely be using it again. The food was very tasty.

Waited 2 hours for my delivery and now they have just cancelled by email. Stay well away from it

Awful! Avoid ordering! Placed an order tonight, took an hour and a half to arrive (we live 2 min drive away). Staff were rude and didnt offer any sort of refund. Food arrived, rice was undercooked and cold, chips were dripping wet and rock hard, clearly they had been reheated. Chicken satay was dry and tasteless. Ordered several sauces and all tasted nothing like what they should. Will never order again!!

Honestly the worst Chinese I've been to! Very expensive for Greesey and sloppy food. Satay sauce taste nothing like it should and to spicy, chips hard and chicken in the curry under cooked.

Best takeaway in Southampton as far as I’m concerned. Absolutely delicious food, cooked freshly for whatever you order. I am also impressed that you can still have most dishes if you have an allergy (mine is sesame). Highly recommend

Happy house Chinese takeaway , I had to wait 1 hour but the food was so worth it , I would recommend it the food was piping hot , the lady was very nice on the phone.

STOP! You have finally found the best Chinese in this part of Southampton! Ordered approx 10 dishs and all were perfect. Portion size great and taste was superb. Didn't feel greasy or anything. You may look on Google and think the shop front looks dated, maybe it is, but that's because I guarantee u their customers don't leave them once been there. Would recommend all day long.

Always lovely food but a bit confused as I ordered crispy lamb. No pancakes but a bag full of iceberg lettuce. OK if I had a rabbit to eat these. Disappointed as takeaways a treat and expensive now

Happy House, a truly happy place for great Chinese takeaway! Been a customer here for more than a decade now, tasty food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices! A particular favourite guilty pleasure of my housemate is the Sweet n Sour Chicken Balls, yummy! Full plastic partitions on the till, gives peace of mind covid hygiene wise. Fantastic local Chinese takeaway! :)
