Happy Fish & Mambo's in East Lindsey

My first visit here and surely this is the best chippy in chapel st leonards? Myself and my wife both had fish and chips with mushy peas and we was both very impressed will definitely visit again.

Visited this chip shop a few times during my stay however had to get pizzas after first and second time of visiting the actual chip shop I have been all of uk and a lot of time abroad visiting various chip shops as the need arises 1st week in August we watched children outside the chip shop looking at there chips after buying them, then disposing of them in the bin outside the shop this bin was really full and falling on the ground around the bin I can only say nobody must know how to do chips this could of been a bad week or no fryer there discription chip I would say mashed chips I hope they have for there sake improved this year.

I come here all the time. Incredible food and fun service! Can't fault it! Fish and chips lovely and warm. Went back for a kebab and pizza!

Both my friend and I visited on Friday 21st of July and the 1st of August. Friday as we waited for chips We both got talking to Jack who was serving us. He was very approachable he asked if we were having a nice time .Service was great very friendly And chatty. We visited the following night and received the same friendly welcome fromstaff especially Jack. My friend was in the queue for chips talking and laughing with Jack and staff. Myself was in a separate queue for pizza staff were equally friendly. John served me and made me pizza .The chips were the best and clare especially enjoyed the battered sausage.I had vegetarian pizza which was a bit spicy. But nothing that a bottle of wine couldn’t wash down!!. We are returning again this month and we will be visiting again. Staff are the friendliest and are willing to chat and have fun with visitors (nothing worse than miserable staff especially when on holiday This isn’t the case at the Happy fish n Mambo Definitely worth a visit .

Called in here after a trip out on the open top bus with family. Was absolutely starving as we hadn’t packed sandwiches & came across this place. We were served by a lovely fella. The portions were spot on & the chips were some of the best I’ve had whilst on holiday. Fish was nice too.

Wow!! She was a whopper!! Ordered fish and chips and opened it up to find moby dick inside. It was huge. Cooked to perfection. The bald man who served me was polite and made me laugh, kept shouting about cookie monsters, I think to entertain the kids! Great experience all around and i'll be back.

food from this place, especially the pizzas are spot on! Me and my kids come to this place every time i come on holiday. The people (especially tony!) Are very friendly and cant fault how nice and polite they are. 100% recommend this place :)

The battered sausage and chips were Devine I would go again when I am in the area the chips were perfect and the sausage was the best from any chip shop ever

Proper ‘chippy’ chips which I love. Everything else on the menu is lovely too. The staff are friendly and they seem to be thriving under the new management. Will return again!

My first time visit to happy fish and I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size and the quality of the food. Very tasty and wonderful service from the staff member that served me. Would recommend to family and friends.

Visited Happy Fish on a few occasions over the past few years. On my recent visit had a piece of fish which was cooked to order so was lovely & hot but the chips were just warmish after being left standing - not good. Felt sorry for the couple who ordered chips and sat outside to eat them on a cold October evening - yuk!

The fish and chip portions are massive. The staff are also friendly and give family run vibe. The Pizzas are also loaded with toppings and are great for sharing

After being refused a carvery at the maid Marion pub on Sunday we decided to eat next door at the happy fish and mammas pizza bar .we really enjoyed the food and service we received. Food was really fresh and hot (fish and chips are amazing).the staff was lovely we got waited on from start to finish, would definitely recommend this place

Called in on our way back to the van ordered a pizza and 2 kebabs. The pizza wasn’t great but the Kebabs was shocking had one bite and spat it out I wouldn’t feed it my dog.

Had the pizza 3 nights on the trot from here. Very cheesy and soaked up the beer superbly well. A 10/10 from all the family.

This food was amazing! However the thing that sets this chip shop apart from the rest is the happy smiley staff, you’re doing great guys!

Went to this chip shop recently and loved the food. Staff were really friendly and had a really good menu. Will be returning. :)

Firstly the staff could smile it wouldn’t hurt. Secondly was told cod was skinless so ordered cod and chips. There was a fish in the top box which is what I had given to me. When I got to the caravan. It had skin on so not cod ! Lids not put on my gravy properly so that had all leaked out all over. Won’t be a second visit

worst chips i have ever had, .bought fish and chips to take away (Tuesday 11th june ) at lunch time and they tasted like refries from night before, they where horrid ,threw chips away .,ate the fish after taking skin off it , fish just okay..

On our yearly visit 2 the area i 2 day was not let down by how amazing our lunch was. Thank u to all the staff for a welcoming environment and such wonderful generous portions at an affordable price

We have our holiday home at Chapel St Leonards and on arrival after a long journey we go here and get our freshly cooked fish an chips, they also do kebab's and pizzas made to order while you wait. Great food very friendly staff always a warm welcome and definitely the best in the area. Highly recommend this place

Staff are always very friendly and curtious. The pizzas are delicious and are cooked to perfection in only 7 minutes! The fish and chips are also very good. In all a great place for a takeaway. I would defiantly reccomend which is rare as i am very picky. WELL DONE! See you soon.

This is my favourite place in the entire world, always my first stop when I go on my holidays every year to Chapel St Leonards.

Went here in september just poped in for some fish and chips, customer service was great really polite and friendly staff food was banging couldnt fault it, the staff even had to break the tail of the fish to fit into box great size meal would defo eat there again and recomend

The staff are always really friendly and warm, the fish are a good size and the portions of chips are very generous. Also they don't try and rip you off on the gravy like a lit of places do! Highly recommend!

Exceeded expectations. Fish and chips from this establishment are very good as you would expect from a sea side shop with local fresh fish deliveries , but where it also excels is in its pizza . Bought 2 different regular size pizza which were of very high quality and made to specific request no problems.

My family and I stayed at golden palm after being out all day and having not eaten we decided after visiting the club Tropicana we would nip to get dinner from a chippy just further up the road this was at 8:50pm. On our arrival it was closing so we went back to the site and thought we would try happy fish. Well it was Lovely and the portion sizes were huge so much so my son said 'mummy it's like man v's food and the food beat us !'. It was lovely and very fresh the guy who served us was very polite and was patient with my children when they were picking a drink . Would visit again for sure .

Me and my wife and kids stayed at golden palms resort at Chapel st lennards on a weeks holiday we had the best pizza I have had for a long time from mambos , really tasty fresh out the oven I would even go as far as to say it was better than dominos !!

Been using this place for years and they never let you down. Can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal . We have tried just about everything on the menu. The staff are always very friendly and very obliging. Keep up the good work .

Been about 3 times since we arrived on holiday lovely pizzas there not shady on the purée for me not enough purée spoils a pizza, as for burgers I’ve had better but still ok definitely worth a visit

Decided to have fish and chips for our first day on our holiday...is was nice. The fish is cooked fresh and the chips were really nice. I had curry sauce on mine and that was good too. My daughter had chicken which she said she didn’t like as it was soggy inside and didn’t taste right so stay clear from them, otherwise a nice little restaurant.

Pizzas are very good, always enjoy one when we come down for the weekend the family always enjoy them

Great little chippy which has a sit in area and also has an ajoining pizza/kebab place so something for all the family, gets busy in high season be prepared to wait and ask for a fresh bit you you want as no offence taken

Purchased food from this take away and it was lovely. The price was reflected in how large the portions are. The staff were all friendly, the place is clean and tidy.

A health sized portion of fish and chips served pretty quickly considering how busy the shop was when we got a table. All round pleased with the quality and cost of the meal.

They do Lovely kebabs pizzas and fish and chips here and brill customer service very vaul for money defenlty going back here they do Lovely food

we were on holiday in sept and was on the sight of the happy fish & mambo's we used this 4 times out of the 7 very friendly staff and the food was lovely looking forward to going back next year .

went here with partner son and friends. the male that served us was brilliant but the young female which served my friend was very rude and her customer service skills were non existant. my friend ordered chips and garlic mayo. she literally slopped the biggest blobs if garlic mayo on her chips. you couldnt even see chips for the garlic mayo. we had totry and scrape it off using the paper wrapping. then she forgot a sausage in another order so just slapped it on counter saying here thats your sausage. picture shows just a small amount of garlic mayo we managed to scrape off. she was so unfriendly. wouldnt recommend eating here!!!!!

Went into Happy fish 12th August, 2017, for some Fish & chips,after just arriving, the fish had been stood a fair while, and the chips were awful, definetly frozen, and were pale and were well under-cooked, not nice at all Disgusting!!!!

We have a caravan on this site and visit Mambos every time we stop at our caravan.

The pizzas and fish and chips are very good quality and value.The staff are very friendly and helpful would highly recommend :)

Esto está bien si sólo estás buscando un preparado para llevar. Las raciones son bastante generosas y precios competitivos con otros chippies en la zona.

Went here for a nice pizza and ended up with the worst pizza i have ever tasted. To make it worse the pizza was ridiculously priced, over £8 a pizza.When i ordered the food the man behind the counter told me it would be 7 minutes, i have never known a pizza be cooked in 7 minutes but thought i would give them a chance, with in 7 minutes i had the pizza in my hands. Got back to the caravan and it was nothing but a load of rubbish i had in the box, looked like a block of cheese that was grated onto it, the chicken that was on was hardly cooked, the base was the same as well not cooked at all.Endless to say the pizza was thrown and i went hungry, i did attempt to eat it but got to the second slice and i felt horrendous. The next morning i had nothing but a painful stomach and plenty of trips to the toilet threw out the day. Stay away from this place unless you want a 7 minute pizza that isnt cooked and will make you ill and spoil your holiday, waste of money in my eyes.

went in happy fish for tea while staying on golden palm. All the food looked delicious and fresh, my grandson settled on southern fried chicken which he said was lovely but a bit spicy, i had a piece of fish with a small mushy peas. wow fish was so meaty with a lovely light crispy batter and was so large i couldnt eat it all, the peas had a gorgeous flavour unlike many places which are bland or vinegery. maybe they could do a mini fish for smaller appetites?

3 adults and 2 children sat inside at happy fish and had very good and well cooked food at a very reasonable price

Staff were so slow getting my order and he didn't know what he was doing and to be told that they had ran out of bread cakes for my chip butty although food was nice

Paid £8 for a pizza from here, absolutely awful.Stale dough, tasteless sauce, "cheese" which is quite clearly not cheese, and veg well past its best.A 50p supermarket "value pizza" would have been better quality. Avoid at all costs, or prepare to be disappointed.

Been here for many years, mambos overall is good but ordered food tonight from mambos and happy fish, and what a joke with these guys. Check your order before you leave! Second time had things missing! To night we ordered pizza, fish chips and kebab. They didnt put the fish and chips in cause it was a biggish order we had to travel back down to be told you walked out without it, lol sure we did the young lad told us all good, and when we went back the lad was sat outside in the car. when we got back the pizza ok, kebab stone cold, chips uncooked and greasy! Wasnt happy and not be in a rush to go back!!! There was no sorry or part refund. Not good

Bern coming to mambos/happy fish for 9 years the food has never let us down its only a week out of the year that I go in here the guys are so friendly they remember so everyone get to mambos / happy fish and get ur dinners suppers u won't be disappointed I promise u

This place is the best place to eat after you have had a good night in the club. The lads who serve you are top notch. Always happy to serve with great banter.

Worst burger I have ever had. Cold undercooked mouldy bread. Chips look anemic and also undercooked. Straight in the bin.

Staying at golden palm resort this week, Monday we tried mambos pizza....it was delicious and kebab was very nice too,, tonight we had southern fried chicken and chips in happy fish,,, that was delicious too, lovely chips,, place is very clean and all the staff are very nice and friendly,, defo will go again.

I took my family here today and my mother in law is very finicky when it comes to fish but she loved it as well as we did to. The staff are amazing and treat you like a friend. I will always use this place when in the area. I deffo give it 5***** and they are also dog friendly. VERY HAPPY

I am a regular at this fish and chip shop. The meals they offer are too die for! Fish and chips are so beautiful, great portion size and excellent price! The pizza couldn't be better. Everything is made fresh in front of you and cooked to order and it only takes 7-8 minutes! The only bad comment I have is that this business is seasonal and leaves me craving their pizzas in the winter months. As for the staff, they are incredible, couldn't be anymore friendly. Especially the young girl with the blue hair. :)

I gave this pizza a 10/10 as it is the best most fresh pizza I've ever had better than any other. You must come to this place it's brilliant. Very friendly staff like to have a joke.

We remembered this pizza place from last year and had been waiting to come again to see if it was still our favourite :)And it was even better then we all remembered :D all the kids were fighting over the last slice, Also at dinner time we had a small chips and there was enough for 3 adults and very tasty :) can't wait to go again tomorrow The staff even made me a vegetarian up as it was my favourite so very helpful as well.

We stayed at golden palm caravan park and this place is just a cross road. The pizzas are great and freshly made in front of you. The staff are nice and the waiting is not long. Great little place

Got to be honest, was a bit dubious about using this place as it looks run down on the outside as its in a old run down fair style shopping precinct. But how wrong looks can be! Fish was cooked to order whilst I waited. Mushy peas were perfect and chips were lovely, cooked fresh, could of been a few minutes longer done, but apart from that, they were lovely! Defiantly worth a visit here if staying in the area.

We had fish chips & the brightest green mushy peas i've seen!i've had worse, however a good portion & was hot.the staff were quick & pleasant.

Me and the familia were looking for somewhere to eat an came across ol Happy fish! The staff were very friendly. Couldn't do enough for us. We were treated like family instead of customers. I had the fish and chips special which came with peas (or beans, gravy or curry sauce). Fish was beautiful and cooked to order. Chips were beautiful. My lad had sausage and chips and the Mrs has chips. They even gave us some hot water for our baby food (some places are funny about that). Highly recommended for anyone an everyone. Great job guys .

Went in to chip shop last week on two occasions for fish and chips,these were the best i have had in a very long time it was nice to have proper mushy peas as well,English chippies seem to be dissappearing,which is a shame but i think this one will do welll.The place was very clean and tidy with good friendly staff,would have no hesitation in reccommending this chippie to anyone who is in the area looking for a great meal.
