Happy Days Diner in Great Yarmouth

We visited tonight at 6.55 just as we sat down a group of 4 came in behind us and was told it was closed which made us feel a bit awkward and rushed. We ordered burger and fries, jacket potato and curry and 2 pepsi max. The pepsi max came in 2 glass bottles no glass, no straw so we had to drink it from the bottle. The jacket potato was servied on a twa plate which made it very hard to manouver, the burgee was running in grease all over the fries in the plastic basket. The place was quite grubby, and lack of atmosphere, to be honest it was dirty and expensive The only positive in the place was the girl who seved us was spit on and friendly.

Basic food. Then when i googled the charges on the bill put down as drink spare was in fact a glass of tap water. Vinegar and brown sauce. Turns out to sprinkle vinegar on your chips costs £9. These charges were not told to us at ordering and if it was as a family of 6 we definitely would have left to eat somewhere else.

Ordered a Mac and cheese, menu said it was baked with panko breadcrumbs. It arrived with no breadcrumbs, honestly looked microwaved, all the sauce was underneath the noodles. For £10 I could make a better Mac and cheese at home.

Excellent food ,couldn't eat it all as portion sizes were massive ,love the fact you get chips with a burger as many places you have to order and pay extra for fries. Lovely lady who runs it

Served by a really polite and friendly young lady (brunette). She was really nice. Food was average, bland burger. Coleslaw was okay.

A takeaway place has never made me wish TripAdvisor allowed 0 stars so much in my life. The ingredients were poor quality, the taste was off and honestly the price was awful for what we got. Never going here again.

The lack of options was just the start of the bad experience my family and I had here. Then the price came it started off not being to bad until I got back to my group and saw the portion sizes!! The wrap could barely be called that, it had barely any filling and if it had been put together properly it would have been about 2.5inchs big. The chicken burgers were edible but extremely disappointing. My daughter couldn't eat her salad, her haloumi wasn't cooked properly and dripped with oil and after eating a chip she panicked thinking they were moldy because of the taste. We will never eat here again! If I could give 0 stars I would.

Wouldnt recommend!! Came to this American diner to notice only one family sat in the diner which they kept leaning back on there bench causing my bench to lean forwards on multiple occasions. When the food finally arrived I noticed a short and curly hair in my not so loaded nachos when I complained about the hair they took the nachos away and brought me a not so fresh batch it was almost as if they removed the hairy nacho and added more nachos and more cheese to desguise the fact they stuffed up as I get to the bottom of the nacho pile I could have built a hotel with how hard the cheese was attached to the nachos. Staff members were sat at the back of the diner not doing a great deal.

We visiting whilst away on holiday as my mum had visited last year and said it was really nice There was three adults and a 2 year old Myself and my mum had the hot dog which was ok the bread felt stale so we only ate the sausage and chips My daughter and granddaughter had the Mac n cheese which neither one could eat I tasted it it was bland and tasteless and for my grand daughter not to eat it was not like her We got refunded for the child meal but not happy The staff were all at the back of the restaurant not engaging with customers and we were the only customers in there the staff seemed more interested in there phones Unfortunately we won’t recommend to any one

Massive portions, very nice food. Was just disappointed that there weren’t more sweet vegan options. Very comfortable, fun decor and music. Service was friendly. Good value for money too.

Dog friendly, on the sea front Diner with great dining including, milkshakes burgers nachos Mac n cheese kids menu. Lovely staff today thank you for a great meals. Loved the ribs and the loaded nachos were a really tasty meal.

Absolutely amazing service! The food was also delicious! Milkshake’s are amazing and flavoursome and I had pancakes and it was wow! I’m from Norwich area but definitely will be coming back when out near Great Yarmouth again! Me & my girlfriend loved it!! 😱 The American theme was spot on! 👏🏻 Amazing family business👏🏻🥳

Delicious home made food in cute little diner. Staff were really lovely and everything was way better than expected. Lovely little stop. Nicely presented and the oreo milkshake was lush. Thankyou.

One review as you can't leave zero....... So we really really wanted to try this place. First attempt Wednesday night we tried before 8pm, to be told that were closed (open sign was lit up) disappointed we moved on. Friday morning we decided to try again, we arrived at 11am, the advertised opening time to be told they are opening at 11.30! Obviously they make their opening hours up depending how they feel each day. The anchor garden cafe over the road is very nice, and a lot cheaper, go there instead.

Excellent coffee and tasty food but feel it was very over priced. Ordered potato hash with streaky bacon and as the menu said fried eggs, when order arrived two small rashers of bacon, one egg and two small potato hash browns for £6.95, really disappointed.

Very scrumptious, burger well done, very good portion for the price. Friendly service, didn’t disappoint and I recommend coming here with your family/ friends. 👍🏼

Lovely little diner with great staff who were very polite and helpful even the chef came out to check our food was ok! The food was delicious and this place is definitely worth a visit!
