Bland, overpriced and totally disappointing. Poor quality and portion size. Wouldn’t order again.

Food has always been very good and very well priced , sirloin stake & chips is great value for money and there's enough there to feed 3 people all for under £11 , it's lush .

Had take away on Saturday night first got wrong order then under cooked avoid

Best peking sauce ever. Salt and pepper house special, singapore chow mein, salt and peppeer chips and the curry sauce are absolutely beautiful. 218 never fails but the ribs are more gristle and less meat.

Nice food and a fair price for the money it's about a £1 cheaper per dish in shop than ordering on just eat

Ordered a meal for £40 the crispy chow Mein wasn’t cooked so rang the shop up and was argued with by one of the staff memeber as she was a positive that it was cook even though I had the meal in front of me and could see that it wasn’t cooked as the noodles were in a giant clump. Then had to go to the shop for a replacement as if I had waited it would have been another 30 minutes despite waiting over an hour for it to be delivered in the first place. They really need to improve their customer service skills as they are actually horrific.

Fantastic chinese! The food always arrives quickly, still hot and always tastes amazing. Staff and drivers are great too. Cannot fault it and great value for money. My fave take away . Food has never let me down yet and been using them for years!

Terrible Chinese, what a waste of £30, wonton soft tasteless and no crunch, curry watery and loaded with ham (in a special curry) spare ribs look more like pigs toes, tiny little chunks.. I think the chef needs a lesson in traditional Chinese cooking. Avoid this one people they are a right jip

The food was just salty and the prawns and chicken were like chewing on sponge. Sorry about the review but i do not recommend and will not eat from here again.

Worst Chinese I've ever had. The chow mein was pure garlic chicken with a few soggy noodles at the bottom.of the tub! Chips were dry scrag ends! No answer when trying to complain. Never again!

Absolutely disgusting, the noodles were straight out of the packet and weren’t cooked, still hard. The rice was in clumps and it was totall unedeable

NO STARS ordered from here many times and no problem s today my order had 2 hairs in the food . I rang and complained the manager I think came to my door asked to look at the food argued it wasn't there's and just walked away .absolute disgrace WILL NEVER USE AGAIN

The best mixed meat with ginger & spring onion I've tasted in a long time. The only criticism I have is that it didn't give me the option to have boiled rice with it and I had to order fried rice (not my first choice)

We have ordered twice from here both times it has been delivered earlier than stated And it arrived hot definetly one of the best we have had will be ordering again.

Food was not the best. It wasn't really good enough for human consumption. Especially the meat so I actually fed the 'meat' to my two chihuahuas. Let's hope they aren't poorly tomorrow. I won't be ordering again.

Food came on time, ribs were dry with no sauce, salt and pepper chicken was just burnt along with chips! Rabg restaurant and complained and lady was lovely says next time I would get them free! Shame food is normally perfect??

Ordered 2 house special chow mein's 11.05pm & was informed it would be delivered midnight but i had to phone the takeaway up at 12.10am as it hadn't arrived.? Was told it was on the way & it finally arrived 12.15am considering i live under 2 miles away from the takeaway their delivery service is very poor regarding the chow mein it was the worst I've ordered from a Chinese takeaway although it arrived hot the meat was terrible.!!! The chicken was smooth in texture & tasted awful nothing like normal chicken meat & the pork was similar (didnt eat any of the meat.!!) Also there was no beef & king prawns as well only a couple of shrimps & too many onions.!! The chow main sause was also watery in consistency & i don't think undercooked broccoli should be in the menu.!! only ate the noodles the rest was binned.!! So in future i won't be ordering from this takeaway again & wouldn't recommend it at all look elsewhere if you want a decent house special chow mein

Both got sever stomach cramps and the $h!t$ after getting food from here. At first we didn't think it was anything to do with the food until our friend 1 week later had the same problem!!!! Staying clear of here from now on

The food came super fact!! In 20 minutes exact, the food was delicious and just what I like. Especially since it was my first time ordering Salt n Pepper Chicken from there. My deliverer was lovely and sweet. I would of tipped him but I had no cash only card. Great service

The chips weren't nice very soggy and fish n chip shop chips not proper Chinese chips, the curry sauce tastes like mouth wash but rest of food was really nice especially salt and pepper chicken !

Food is not fit for consumption for the dog never mind humans. Service is unpleasant, they gave me wrong order when I rang them they told me to pick the meat out of my VEGETARIAN meal and would not swop it or refund. The 2nd meal was salt and pepper house special, it was like pork scratching on a plate. Never going back and recommend people to avoid.

Fast delivery , food was absolutely disgusting. Chips were more like scraps, the chow mein was the worst I've ever tasted and the curry sauce was like water. Gave it a try wasn't for me I will stick with other Chinese places. Normally the curry is nice from any Chinese not this one.

Unfortunately I called and I'd spotted that they do not deliver to the ne2 postcode which I am in, I checked my distance which was 3.1 miles from their location and my friend checked his distance. who also ordered was 3.7 miles in the ne5 postcode. I wasn't allowed my order yet he was and further away! Terrible customer service, would not reccomend.

Ordered 7:15pm, they added 50 mins to estimated delivery. At half 9 I phoned 20 times to ask where it was, but they left the phone of the hook, so ignorant. I ordered from somewhere else at 10 o'clock and they actually had the nerve to show up at 10:10pm. China star will be getting my full business from now, absolutely atrocious.

I did not receive this food as delivery time was 1 hour 50 mins and my child was waiting to go to bed !! I am Not happy at all with this service

If delivery time could be zero stars it would be. Was told it would be here in an hour and 10 minutes, and 2 hours later it finally arrived. Got a text from just eat to say it was on its way and 40 minutes later it was here, and not very warm. Rang the shop half an hour after the text and the man was really rude and unhelpful. Delivery man made us walk 10 minutes in the rain as he came to the wrong place, instead of moving his car closer. Overall poor service, first Chinese we had in Newcastle and would not use again. Food was expensive, chips were greasy and there was hardly any of them. For the delivery fee and time definitely would not wait this long for poor food especially at this price.

Placed our order over the phone to collect, the guy on the phone repeated the order back to us to make sure he had got it right which it was. Sent my partners brother to go get it. He got there and they first off got his partners meal wrong. When he got back my meal was wrong - ordered char sui chow main with a tub of Cantonese sauce separate , ended up with char sui chop sui with a splash if that of Cantonese sauce on top, all the meat was sitting on top of the noodles which seems like sheer laziness to not mix it in. My partner ordered special fried rice with no shrimp and they had put gravy on top which she had not asked for. My partners brothers meal was chicken chow mein and all the chicken was on top and not mixed in - laziness again. We also had some salt and pepper chips that were so soggy they weren't very edible and were lukewarm to cold. Very unimpressed and will not be coming here again.

Ordered chicken and mushroom soup and house special chow mein. Dilivery was great, updated me every time. Soup was ok wasnt much good. But chow mein was great really delicious.

The chips were cold and reheated, horrible, special chow mein had no char sui and no king prawns.

Ordered a house special chow mein and it was disgusting the sauce was clumpy and the meat was just fatty and for a house special chow mein you should have more then 2 meats your product has gone right down i am a regular customer and order this all the time and this wasn't the same i will not be returning to your takeaway again unless you sort your menu out and get proper chefs in thanks.
