Hanwah Chinese Takeaway in Windsor and Maidenhead

Really bad attitude. You never know if the food will be OK. Way to greasy/oily a lot of the time.

Chris is very funny and is an awesome worker. I didn't like chinese until I ate at Hanwah Chinese Takeaway, I recommend this place to everyone.

I love the chicken Biryani, our national dish: good juicy balls and succulent. 5 Star.

Ribs nice, rice taste days old, pancake rolls Tasted off and the chicken balls had nasty black stuff inside. Puked for days after eating from here oh and the free prawn crackers had some weird leaf or dirt in it.

Hanwah is a take away shop and found it when I google some chinese around me. We went there to enjoy hot & sour soup(vege) which was really very tasty. We went again & tried Prawn Schizian, Prawn with green onion and black bean sauce , egg fried rice . Everything was very delectable. Unfortunately, we didn't try more variety because more halal varieties were not available on weekend. CHEN was very nice lady . She has provided many info regarding Chinese food. She was very keen for her food's quality. She fairly told me that everything is not halal on weekend and she refunded my money what I already paid for my order. Chicken is only HALAL option & vege & sea foods. I would recommend this shop for Chinese food cravers. They have no arrangement for dine-in. Its take away only. 2 persons meal price would be around £25-£30

Really disappointed as I am a regular at Hanwah. However the usual lady was not taking the orders and sadly when I got home my whole order was basically wrong. There are many foods I can't have so my order is specific and even after saying multiple times what I would like it was wrong. Had to throw most of it away as was unable to eat it. Very very disappointing.

We’d been chomping at the bit for a Chinese and didn’t really know any local takeaways but recall coming here about 5/6 years ago. A massive order was placed with our eyes as big as our growling bellies, also accommodated a dish not on the menu. Well what can I say the food was plentiful,, hot, cooked to perfection and delicious!! Would highly recommend!

This was our first time ordering from Hanwah and we will definitely be ordering from here again. Food was delicious, arrived hot and very well priced. Lady I spoke to on the phone was very polite and friendly and the delivery was super quick. Good to know we have a new local favourite!

Not as good as it used to be sadly, Very poor quality Beef, very dry overcooked and chewy, probably frozen.

Very disappointing to say the least. We placed an order with Hanwah this evening and waited for over an hour for delivery. Heard nothing so we rang to ask where our order was. The response given is that they did not receive our order despite the payment of £53 being made to them. To add insult to injury, Hanwah would not refund the £53 we have paid to them. We have to visit the take away in person(!) in order to for the refund to be granted. Why?!? Hanwah we’re able to take our money without providing anything in return and now we have to make a trip to them in order to get a refund for receiving nothing! Completely ridiculous verging on a scam. It will be interesting to now have to face into the experience of trying to secure our refund; our reward for placing an order with them in good faith and receiving nothing in return.

Just about the best Chinese takeaway I've ever had. I particularly liked the sweet and sour king prawn balls. Good presentation, good portion size, and great service.

I let you judge for yourself! The portions are ridiculous small - you pay full price but you get half the portion. Disappointing!

Thought we would give Hanwah a try as a menu dropped through our door. Not been there since Steve left. Really impressed, good quality food, very tasty and generous portions. Loved it all.

Unfortunately the results from Hanwah seem to have become rather variable, which is why I have knocked a star off my previously rave review. The first disappointment was a lunchtime meal with notably reduced quality overall. The second was a bank holiday weekend, when previously reliable lemon chicken was ruined by a sauce so bitter that it might have been just lemon juice and nothing else, and not for the first time the egg fried rice, instead of being white and fluffy, was dingy brown and gloopy. Time of day or busy periods (though it actually didn't seem that busy) should not make such a huge difference.

I ordered in the shop . Looked like owner that served me not very talkative accepted money and said 15 min . Food was okish . Portions could be bigger.

Yummy Chinese food during New Year Especially Thai style red curry, it's taste good. Staff and boss are very nice, they are very concerned the food is good or not. Because I don’t eat bamboo shooter, so I tell them to take it out when I place my order. They are very welcome to do it. We will back very often! Thank you for making me feel like home taste.

Great takeaway worth a visit. I went for House Special Chow Mein, Fried Vermicelli Singapore Style, Beef Ho Fan and Ma Po Tofu, those are delicious! Keep the good work!

best thai green curry i are in a long time, trying to get something different every time, haven't been disappointed a single time. this place gets their order ready on time no matter how big. really pleased with the service. if my wife would let me eat as much as i want id probably burst

Never get what I actually order. Food that I do get is good quality and a good portion. Service hasn't been as good since Steve has left. Was made to stand outside in sub zero temperatures for half an hour waiting for an order I had already pre ordered waiting to be called in when it was ready as was told he would do, which he never did, so when I gave up waiting I went in and chased to find my food was done and now cold. Steve would never of allowed that. New menu is extensive and good value.

The Hanwah, or Steve's as we call it is & has been the best Chinese takeaway in town in my opinion. I have been getting good from him for over 30 years, from back when he was in the town centre. Highly recommend.

Really tasty neighbourhood Chinese takeaway! One of the best local Chinese food places you’ll find, family run, friendly owner and quick service. Food is tasty, highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken balls and the roast duck. The only thing is that portion sizes could be bigger, make sure to add at least one side to any main or even an extra dish.
