Lovely fresh cod cooked to order with nice chips - perfect. The mushy peas were a bit flavourless (but that didn't spoil it) - I should have tried the homemade chilli sauce. Cash only.

Food was pretty good but unfortunately due to the rudeness of the girl serving we won't go back. if I hadn't already paid I'd have walked out. Definitely needs some customer service training

Piping hot delicious fish and chips. Very clean establishment, efficient and warm service, fish was extremely fresh and the batter was lovely and thin, flavoursome and with a lovely crunch. Highly recommend.

Not very nice I’m afraid extremely small portion just thrown on the tray and greasy. Very expensive for what we received it was far cheaper on the sea front.

Pre ordered fish and chips for 10 which was ready just as I arrived to collect so excellent timing. Quality was excellent with generous portions. I always find the staff very efficient and polite.

Popcorn chicken was the best i’ve had by far, chips are the best chippy chips i’ve had as well. The curry sauce was also great - not too watery like some other places. Very quick service for what i ordered and fantastic customer service from very friendly staff.

not the cheapest in felixstowe but in my opinion the best. freshly cooked to order. the haddock is spot on and always consistent, never disappoints. cash only. would not use anywhere else.

This Chippy is a little way off the Beaten Track but its much better than what is on offer on the Sea Front! The Chips are well cooked and very tasty, hot and plenty of them. Very nice piece of Cod, Flakey and cooked in a nice Crispy Light Batter.

Today we had fish and chips from here . Freshly cooked to order. Large cod is exactly that large . Will be using this one from now on . Really enjoyed our meal .

Quite a pokey little establishment when it gets busy but the staff are friendly, the wait times are minimal and the food ticks all the boxes. I go fairly regularly.

Had friends around from Germany and The fish and chips takeaway i use was closed on Monday. Tried Hamilton but wish I waited till Tuesday. undercooked fish. It had a nasty fishy smell. This was extremely off-putting and after a couple of bites we daren't eat it. (The flavour of undercooked fish was awful). Mushy peas is so green and so obviously it isn't homemade. Sauces and everything is maybe ok for some who likes cheap and cheerful but never again !!!

Had cod and chips, fish was cooked to order it was lovely. chips were nice too would definitely return. Had fish and chips when they first opened a while ago and did not enjoy, but they have now got it right . keep cooking to order keep it fresh.....

We bought cod chips and scraps today. The fish was cooked to order and looked amazing. The medium size is quite generous. We were concerned that a lot of fat had leaked through the paper and we then expected it to be awful. But, how wrong we were. It was the best fried fish we've had in a long time from anywhere (and hubby was a fishmonger). The chips were ok, happy enough with them. And they did scraps-which was great! Top marks for not using polystyrene!!

Tasty hot fresh fish and chips. Good sized portions and cooked fresh to order. Excellent after a day at the seaside and well salted as requested. Mushy peas sausages in batter and other options available too, delicious thankyou!

Really disappointed by this place which was recommended. Just purchased a sausage and cheesy chip. Chips soggy even before they added the cheese and proceeded to microwave them, if the chips are hot enough they’ll melt the cheese naturally. The sausage was look warm and had been ready a long time. Definitely not worth another visit, I binned the lot £5.25. Unsure how they manage so many positive reviews.

Cod and chips….. chips lovely…… cod was horrible, fillet was dark brown and not the usual white, tasted of old oil and smelt very bad! In the bin.

Chips we very good and decent fish. Someone had a fall near to the shop and the owner rushed out and gave the lady mineral water. Best we've had in Felixstowe and many are charging restaurant prices for take away food. Hamilton's is both cheaper and better!

Not as good as last time I attended , pleasant well manour ed, quick service...but .. who serves a chip butty on a toasted seeded burger bun.... "chips where okay ".... Will definitely think twice before going again..

Reasonably priced and fair portion sizes. The chips were cooked perfectly, the fish was ever so slightly dry but all in all a tasty meal.

Different day, different choices with same good quality food and very friendly service. Haddock instead of cod, wow all fresh cooked and good value for money too. As this business is away from the sea front and top end of Hamilton Road it is possible most looking for fish and chips do not get this far, shame as they are missing possibly the best in town for quality, quantity, service, choice and value for money. Can't wait for our next visit.

The food is really good, just every time something on the order is missed or messed up which spoils things.. I like the food but will now try somewhere else due to this Shame

Busy service due to the bank holiday and queues everywhere. Everything was cooked to order and fresh. Staff polite and friendly. They operate a covid secure service using a numbering system to track orders and keep people at a distance. Fish and chips were tasty, but I got a lot of the ends of potatoes in with mine so that is why the average score. Otherwise ok.

VERY EFFICIENT takeaway service on a Sunday afternoon during the Nov2020 lockdown. Other shops on the seafront were queuing down the pavement, but this chip shop in town was much better and safer. Orders taken at the door through a screen and delivered to people waiting outside the shop. Most importantly the fish was superb, cooked to perfection with a tasty light batter. The chips were fresh and very good, so we were more than pleased with the meal. Kid were also happy because their children's meals came in a special box with a sea side themed ruler and pencil. 👍

Very good. I was the last customer of the day. They still cooked my fish fresh. Then as they were cleaning down (very thoroughly) I got an extra fish and sausage. Shows they do not keep old stuff to reheat next day. Felt very Covid safe. Recommend tasty takeaway.

I’ve used this shop since I moved here and cannot fault it. The standard is always good and reliable I’ve switched from medium fish and chips to the pensioners portion,just enough for me as there is not piles of chips.
