Absolutely Appalling! Bought a ‘fresh’ loaf and it turns out to be mouldy on the day we bought it !

I ordered a Lardy cake for my mum as a surprise as we used to get them when I was a kid and we loved them. Over a week later my mum still hadn’t received it, only to find that it was being held at the Royal Mail depot because excess postage was due. By the time my mum got it it was stale and inedible. When she told Halls about this, she was promised a replacement Lardy cake and a refund. As of 28 days since the order was made I have received a refund for the original amount paid (this not including the excess postage we had to pay) and no replacement cake . Given that just days before I made my order, Halls had posted on Facebook enticing people to order Lardy cakes as gifts online I feel hugely disappointed and let down. There has been zero customer service and zero apology. Frankly the service is appalling.

The cruffins are insane, they are packed full and taste amazing. I love the whole look of the shop. Tetbury shop is also very nice and great service in both

The service is met with miserable looking staff, ( if they don't want to be there then find another job). the cakes/bread are not covered so anything can get on it, such as flys etc..

Great food. There was a queue to get in as it seems very popular. Both of us enjoyed our cakes. They were a very good size for price.

If one customer is being served the other worker doesn't understand you can serve 2 people at the same time. Might as well have only 1 worker working there. Will do anything but notice customers waiting. Younger staff are always spot on, but the 2 old dears it's hard to tell if they work there or are dead. I know they pay terrible wages so perhaps this explains things. Ive give up going there as service is terrible unless the younger ones are there. They will find anything to do except serve people. And they can talk some, so much they forget they're working. Shame as the foods good.

This review is for Halls Tetbury branch. Just been into Tetbury shop for a filled sandwich. Ordered a Coronation Chicken and was asked 'Sandwich or Roll' - 'Roll please'. Chose some crisps and a drink (per the meal deal), came to pay to be told that the meal deal doesn't apply as I asked for a Roll. Sharp business practice at best, scam at worst: best avoided.

I was so disappointed not to find this delicacy in Swindon and was thrilled to see a pile in this shop window. Lots of cakes to choose but there was only one thing I had to get to take back to London. I enjoyed it with the family this afternoon. Quite delicious served hot.

I often pop in when I see the large lardy cakes in the window. A sweet tooth pleasure. I've also had the sausage baps which unlike another review was hot and good value for money.

After spotting the huge buns in the window..I had to go on. Coffee was excellent at a decent price.Yum Yums delicious and pasties were ok. Prices were average for the area. Staff quite freindly. For a quick bite it did the job.

Some OK bread but the worst lardy cakes I've ever had. Get there early and you may be OK but otherwise a lot of the stock is just too dry.

Excellent fresh, as I like to call it, 'proper bread'. If you like jam doughnuts they have the best. I must admit I love their mince pies at Christmas too.

Me and my wife went for a lovely day out in Cirencester and around mid day, we stopped to get something to eat and drink. I decided to get a bacon bap and my wife wanted a chicken and veg pasty and a bread pudding....

Popular pub in a nice setting by the river with a good selection of ales. Food was excellent and service first class. Will return at some stage.

We booked a table of 8 here on the evening of the Christmas lights switch on and Market. Despite the pub being rammed as expected, and us all ordering different food, it arrived quickly and was excellent (Beer was good as well 👍). We will definitely be back next time we visit Cirencester

The pub/hotel is on the High Street, a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants and other pubs in Moreton-in-Marsh. We had a four-poster double room (no.3) on the first floor. Although quite compact, it had almost everything needed for our one-night stay. The bed was very comfortable, and a fan and oil heater were provided. The double-glazing was very efficient so the room was quiet even though it overlooked a busy road. The shower room was huge, with a powerful shower, lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a bathrobe. There was a kettle with tea etc and biscuits, but we couldn't work out how to use the Nespresso machine. There were enough sockets for our chargers. The breakfast choice was extensive and the food really excellent (best cheese omelette I have had in years; my husband's full veggie breakfast was also good). There is a small car park, although there is free parking on the high street anyway. The pub/hotel garden looked pretty, but it was raining, so we didn't try it.

Such a pleasure to be at Keith's, invigorating coffee, luscious hot chocolate, beautiful fresh cakes, a good range of savouries, and well-chosen treats to buy, let alone their traditional hand-made chocolates. A Cirencester institution. One-off, comfy as itself, and special.
