I would reccomend Haldi to anyone, me and my son went as a treat, we will go back, the best indian food ever, happy smiling staff, nothing is too much trouble, very attentive, excellant food, we are both big eaters , but couldnt finish our meal, due to there being so much, thank you👍

Enjoyed a great meal here last Friday with my daughter. We shared poppadoms and dips which were fresh. Our main of Chicken Tikka, Bombay potatoes, pilau rice and mixed kebab were well flavoured and excellent quality. Maz and his team as always were attentive and it was great to see the restaurant so busy, even though we managed to get a walk-in table. Draught beers of Cobra or bottle of Kingfisher well priced. A truly excellent local curry house.

Having seen their page on FB , 6 of us booked for Sunday buffet lunch. The buffet was hot , varied and really tasty. The ambience was pretty non existent, no music at all ( pet hate, everyone whispering almost). Staff presence was very scarce , had to start to leave before someone came from the kitchen to get our bill. Would order a take away but probably not eat in again .

It has been many months since I visited a curry house, and some time since this restaurant. On a whim I decided I NEEDED a real Asian (Indian/curry) meal. I haven’t been here for a few months and rocked up early. The venue is empty and I ask the maitre de to recommend dishes that I can eat in and takeaway left overs. Suffice to say I have a mix of dishes including Biriani plus vegetables and a naan. The delivery is perfect and I fill my plate (almost). The rest I will take home for tomorrow and maybe Thursday. Tonight’s meal is everything that I hoped for. I understand the restaurant has changed management since my last visit: that said the cuisine is as I remembered and hoped for tonight. Thank you Haldi

Ordered 4 Wednesday night buffet meals and all the food was delicious and well cooked. The staff were very attentive and we received great customer satisfaction. Will definitely be ordering again. Takeaway - delivery 1st time ordering tonight...and impressed they deliver to Partridge Green, as not many places do. Slight delay on ordering time (they estimated 45 mins, but took 65 mins) although we weren't in a rush so this was OK, and we appreciate it was a Saturday night! Excellent meal and very happy customers. Even got a call to check we enjoyed the meal and to see if there was anything else we needed, or they could do Great customer service. Thank you 😊

Ordered food online, that went well, got the 15% discount we got food Home, food warm, dished the food between us, was very disappointed with the quality the food, especially the 2 Nan bread, they were horrible the colour of the food looked all the same, my chicken tikka masala was dark red and thick! Walking in you’re greeted with a wonderful smell of spices and meat. The waiters are pretty speedy with food and drinks. The king prawn balti was delicious and very filling. Due to them being short staffed we got to meet and talk to the new owner who’s a young charismatic guy who was more than happy to fill in for the missing staff. Great guy, great restaurant. Can’t wait to go again.

Booked online am, turned up half an hour late, lovely young girl delivering, so forgiven, and had a rare evening with my youngest son, and we decided it would be an 11/10, so delicious and worth the wait.

Really disappointing… Ordered a takeaway and the food was shocking!! Took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. We called after an hour of ordering as the driver hadn’t left yet. When it did arrive it was so cold. The food was absolutely tasteless!! We ordered chicken tikka masala and sagaloo. No taste at all. Couldn’t finish the meal. The potatoes seemed like they had reheated old ones. Spinach tasted off.

We live locally and ordered a takeaway. Food arrived promptly and before the stated time. The popadoms and naan were lovely, can’t fault them. My fiancé had a jalfrezi and he said the sauce was lovely, But my tikka masala sauce was bright red and didn’t really taste like a masala at all. The most disappointing part was the meat in both meals, it was meant to be chicken but it did not taste or look like chicken at all. It seemed more like tofu or quorn meat and the taste and texture was really not good I’m afraid. Some good points but we’ll probably not order from here again I’m afraid! Sorry!!

We ordered a takeaway for delivery at 6.15pm, it was a small order and we are 7 minutes away by car. we had to chase the order an hour later after calling multiple times and leaving 3-4 messages on their answerphone as well as speaking to staff. An hour and a half after ordering we had a text apologising for the delay and saying that the food was being prepared. at 9.45pm we managed to get through to the manager who said that worse things had happened and people were dying in the world, we should not worry so much. This was particularly inappropriate as I have only just recently lost my husband. I explained this to him, he apologised and said he would get the kitchen to cook us fresh food straight away and deliver it to us personally at no charge. The food was delivered by a young lad at 10.15pm (4 hours after we had placed the order), it was cold and everything about it was wrong. We had ordered a chicken and lamb dish and two garlic naans, and received 2 lamb dishes and 2 plain naans. I'm speechless, I could have flown back home to Spain quicker!!! Appalling attitude and service

Sadly really quite poor. Delivery was 1.5 hours (they said 35 mins), some dishes cold, poppadoms stale as hell, ignored the special request added at the time of ordering. Not good value and won't use again. I don't often rate local business poorly but this was a second offence of fairly recent times. Haldi, please up your game - you're too expensive not to!

Went for a collection last Friday and not gonna lie it was really busy and the staff were a bit all over the newly renovated place but the lovely bartender sorted my food out-such a sweet young man and when it came to the food I was speechless, just amazing, felt like a completely new restaurant; Keep it up guys!!!

Haldi - now New Haldi is under new management including a new chef and wow, they are doing a great job so far. I eat a lot of curry, it's my favorite cuisine and I have to say that New Haldi is right up there with the best of them. The service is excellent and the taste sublime. Don't be afraid to ask if your favorite dish is not on the menu as the chef really knows his stuff. I really could eat there every day!

In this time of lockdown it is great to be able to get to be able to get a good takeaway to provide a variation from the home cooked dishes we know how to make.As ever the Haldi provided us with a delicious meal that was well cooked and spiced just the way we like it.

We ordered a take away today and when we sat down to eat it we realised we had been overcharged. We ordered on the phone from the menu that was put through the door. I rang the order through and apparently you have to order online to get 10% discount. It does not state anywhere on the menu that you would not get the discount. Also they rounded our bill up to £30 which was 35p more than it says on the menu. I rang the restaurant and they could not care less that I was annoyed. Needless to say we will not return.

The food is fine, the prices a little high but they have a captive audience being just about the only restaurant in Southwater (ignoring the pubs). Service on the night we were there was friendly and fairly quick. The restaurant itself was chilly, though, to the extent I had to keep my coat on! Probably better on a busier night when the bodies, beer and vindaloo kick in!

Food is good here and the service friendly. The price is very reasonable and worth going on the buffet day (Sunday) or banquet night (Monday).

First time we have visited the Haldi with my Wife and a friend. The service was very good and the food was well presented, we had poppadoms and chutney (they charge quite a lot for the chutney on the bill!) to start with, followed by a mix starter and duck tikka. Mains were a chicken passanda, lamb roshini, chicken satkora, lemon rice, pillaw rice, sag bhajee, baigon bhajee, keema nan, plain nan.Forget ordering duck tikka it was dry and tough, the other starters were ok. All the mains tasted nice, tender chicken and tender lamb. With two and a half pints of beer and a coke the total bill came to £80 Within thirty minutes of eating the food my wife came down with the trots, on investigating the food hygiene award it is a poorly grade 2 IMPROVEMENT NECESSARY (with 5 being the highest award) this place obviously has issues with its food hygiene, I would avoid this place until it improves its grade! Such a shame because the food was tasty! Will not be going there again, seems to be a trend in local curry houses in the area, The Cowfold Cottage has a poor grade too! But at least the wife has never had the trots there it is just filthy and dated whereas the Haldi looks clean and modern.

We eat here quite a lot as it is very local. We have never had a bad meal and the service has always been good. The restaurant is always clean and smart and there is plenty of parking. Sunday evening has a buffet option as well, which generally has a good selection but has not had the Korma on our last few visits. As that is all my wife and daughter will eat they have been disappointed. We also order take away from time to time and being able to sit and have a drink while waiting is great.The price is reasonable but there are cheaper places to eat.

We went for an early dinner on Wednesday and were surprised how quickly the restaurant filled up! Our order was taken soon after we sat down - But the food took a while to come out and even longer for the plates to be cleared. However on the positive side everything we ordered tasted great. In the future we will probably just order as a takeaway rather than a sit down meal.

I have been going to the Haldi for years, the previous owner unfortunatly passed away he had pride in his service and food and this has continued to be the case. Always beautiful food, great service and great ambiance!

Haldi is my local (within walking distance). Food as always was tasty and varied. Unlike other places the poppadoms are served hot (freshly cooked). Only downside is that tables could be bigger. Four people with four dishes plus rice and naan leaves not enough space on the table.

We’ve come here for Monday night dinner. They had a nice menu with a wide variety of Indian dishes. We have ordered couple of them. All of them were very delicious but we both agreed that Butter chicken was their star dish. I had butter chicken in the past but nothing comes close to Haldi’s butter chicken!!!The service was excellent, very pleasant atmosphere!Definitely will be coming back for more!

Hubby and I have eaten here many times and have taken our visiting family and friends here on lots of occasions and they all love it - some have even said it’s the best curry they’ve ever had !! (My sister-in-law is a harsh critic and even she adores the food!) The dishes are consistently of a high standard and the staff are really friendly and fun. The prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is clean with an an airy, open and bright feel to it.

We decided to try the Haldi after a long break from going there, we had not booked a table but they were very accommodating and found us a nice table in the corner, the food was excellent could not fault it, the staff were very friendly, would definitely go again soon

I only went here for the first time a few nights ago, and wish I'd found it before! The food was really good and the spicing was excellent - the spices seemed really fresh. The friend I went with is vegetarian, and they have a very good selection of vegetarian dishes. She had the Paneer Curry and she really enjoyed it. The Prawn Puree starter was lovely, with a nice kick of spice, and I also reallly enjoyed my Chicken Tikka Masala main. The ambience in the restaurant was nice, it was spacious, and the staff were lovely- veryattentive. It also has the advantage of there being plenty of parking spaces just outside the restaurant. I will definitely be back, and can highly recommend it.Thanks for a most enjoyable meal.

We have just had a lovely meal at the Haldi, unfortunately it was ruined because the staff could not cope with the excessive demand from restaurant and takeaway. It was 45 minutes before we managed to order our food, we had to chase a waiter to do this. Everyone around us were flabbergasted at how long we had to wait for service. All available staff were being kept busy with the takeaway business. Absolutely dreadful! Pure greed by the owner, the restaurant should have taken priority over the takeaway service. Won’t be rushing back there in a hurry.
