Please don't go here, you will be disappointed. I was tempted in by low prices, large portions, and £0 delivery fees on Ubereats. Hainult Fryers is only 0.9 miles away, and delivery was fast, so I presumed there could be nothing wrong with my food. The chips were terrible and might be the worst I've ever had. Under-cooked and hard in the middle, tough and chewy on the outside. Not salted after leaving the fryer, so they have absorbed no salt. Dry and bland. Literally just not chippy chips in any shape or form. Overall I'm very confused, as I'm seeing a lot of solid reviews here. Maybe they went downhill, maybe they were out of chips this week, I'm not sure. All I can say is, if you want: Soft, fluffy, cakey, flaky, delicious salty chippy chips... DO NOT go here. Go to Athena B or somewhere well renowned in town. Hainult is well below the bog standard, trust me. P.S. I hadn't eaten all day and was starving. Large chips, saveloy, jumbo battered sausage. Saveloy was flavourless, and I have thrown 75% of the chips in the bin, as they are honestly inedible.

Food was cold and burgers were burnt! Chips had been refried and were harder than rocks. Will never order from there again

What a lovely experience ! We both ordered the haddock and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce for lunch. Absolutely wonderful service from a very friendly lady ! Cheesy chips was the best I have had from anywhere in a long time, loads of cheese and nicely melted. Batter on the fish and sausage was lovely and fresh. Your always our go to chippy :). Thank you and we Look forward to the next time.

Perfect as usual. Chips are chunky and crispy and not at all soggy or greasy. The haddock was also crispy and not at all greasy and had full flavour!

Large fish and small chips was a perfect size and still very hot when it arrived. It tasted nice. I wasn't much fun of squid chunks, they were a bit tough. I would however recommend for fish and chips and would order again. Thank you

Usually no complaints but my mums pie was rock hard, could hardly cut it open and it was dry , my savaloys were also cold.

Genuinely my new favourite chippy, we came in after going climbing because we were curious about the deep fried crème eggs and honestly I’ll never look back. A proper family buisness that give you a home cooked (cheap & cheerful) meal. Nothing to fault. The chips are homemade and perfect. Even offer gravy (for us northern folk it’s a dream) genuinely perfect xxxxx

Been using this chippy for a while now. Always have the same order. But tonight I thought I'd try something different and delivery. Always superb. Delivered with a smile. The only one downside for me is I can only use it when I'm on this area. Thank you.

never had a problem here before and usually really happy, but today the person delivering knocked our door and had left our food on the wet floor infront of the front door and was already in their car when it took me about 40 seconds to get to the door from the knock.

I wanted to update my review on this place as I've ordered as of recent and wanted to shed the great customer service I have received from the business and the tasty food! I have ordered online and when they contacted me about items being unavailable it's always been a nice chat never any rudeness or the so called "shouting" over the phone. Their prices are also great and affordable, the portion sizes are still amazing for what they're charging.
