Costa Coffee in Brighton and Hove

Great coffee and friendly staff:)

It is a disgrace to pay £4.40 for a small flat white with oat milk. I wonder how people can afford a daily coffee in this place. If we keep accepting those prices, they will keep jncreasing prices. Please stop buying such a expensive coffee. Prices for coffee need to drop. At this point, I wont visit a costa coffee anymore.

Quarter filled cups of coffee. Lids was not on properly too. A lot of money for 2 sips of coffee

I have been a customer of this branch for about 3 year's and I have never had a bad experience. Delicious food and excellent service from the very friendly staff. All in all a perfect 10

Staff are brilliant and very helpful

Awful. No customer service demonstrated. Male with beard and glasses needs to watch his tone as he is extremely rude when customers have general enquiry. Not all options available. Limited menu. Overall a horrible experience with the brand. I love Costa and go regularly but this was truly disappointing. There was a young guy, he seemed to be a trainee, which was done by a blond lady, who was ignorant.

Drinks were spilled and no labels on the drinks as we had different milk.

No difference from any other Costa really, but the staff were super friendly. On my last visit, the place was completely steamed up so felt a bit like a sauna

AVOID Go to the deli or Costa machine next-door in Sainsburys. Both are cheaper and you don’t have to sit in what smells like a room filled with wet, old towels. Absolutely lovely and kind staff!! BUT Throughout the cafe there is the the most awful pungent mould smell, peeling wallpaper, croissants and food that looks weeks old, and flies all over the shop. It’s just revolting and GOLDEX should be ashamed at the lack of upkeep and investment. Half of the reviews are below 2 stars. not a single response from management.

Great little Costa, really friendly staff!

The workers are so nice its qlways reasonable clean qnd quick service considering they have few workers working its a good place to study at however the wifi can be a bit difficult to log in to

This place is dirty. it was hard to find a clean table, and the floor was covered in crumbs. The only savoury food available was a nasty brie and cranberry sandwich that was difficult to eat without getting covered in goo, or an unappetising bacon roll.

I had coffee and a muffin both were fine. Service was quick. The shop was disgusting. Loads of tiny fruit flys everywhere. We were swatting loads away. Unpleasant. Avoid this shop . It was gross.

Sadly food was poorly made and the hot chocolate I ordered was Black Forest but came as a normal one and very weak it’s very unusual as it’s all normally amazing food and drinks

Me and three school friends came in and worked immediately notified we couldn’t sit downstairs which we agreed to i order a drink and sit down they let us sit for five minutes then say if you’re not ordering food please leave and you have to order food even though adults were sat drinking tea and I bought a five pound drink. I understand kicking out rowdy or loud teenagers causing trouble but we did nothing wrong and simply because we came back from school and they view all school kids as rude

Slightly over priced, especially for the 2 toasties that I had that were only toasted on one side 🤯 🤦🏻‍♂️ the ham was most definitely of the poorest quality!! As was the cheese 🧀 and don’t start me on the coffee ffs 🤦🏻‍♂️☹️😣😖😫😩 I mean come on COSTA BLOODY COFFEE” ☕️ it’s what you do !!! 🤷‍♂️ I won’t be returning in any rush ……

Impossible to get hot food about 1 hour prior to closure.

Both times I've ordered a delivery. Both times wrong caje and an hour wait. Drink not even filled to the top. Just over half full.

Coffee had spilled all over food

My order took ages to come well over an hour. and when it did finally arrive the food is freezing cold! Not even edible. Absolutely disgusting.

The original time of arrival was 11:00 and at 11:07 the food/coffee was ready. We got it at 11:38!!! Food is literally cold and coffee is cold as well. Could we please have refund!

I went on a quick break and consider I bought a coffee & hot chocolate no one made me aware of the breakfast bap deal.. Now considering one of the first things I would have to give up due to the cost of living raising would be treating myself to a coffee. I was extremely annoyed that I was not made aware of the breakfast bap offer, I understand they have sign put up here or there but not everyone has 20/20 vision and were all humans so we have things and such as problems or issues were dealing with still on our minds when we out. This means I may not be paying attention to every sign that I pass or is on display. I am a Radiographer and this might have been my only chance in a 12 hour shift to get a meal, but as I was not made aware of it, I bought my coffee and a hot chocolate for a colleague and left. As I was cycling I then did see the sign I went back in to to ask if I could still purchase the baps and was told no. As there are signs I should of been aware, well when you been scanning cancer patients etc. from 7.30am & just had a quick chance to pop out to get this hot drink a cost effective meal would have been great. But as I was worrying the patients i had just scanned I did not even see the signs. I think the staff should be more understand and allowed out of good will to honour the deal. In addition I have now seen where other major chains now give you coconut milk, soya or plant base milk for free I was charged 45p. Considering there is no pay raise for the NHS worker & this is a huge treat for me work hard on a 12 hours shift. I am not impressed with Costa coffee 225 Preston Road. I was not trying to get the baps for free just asking them to honour the deal since I had just bought the coffee and hot chocolates minutes before. Asked to see the manager, no manager available really, I did not believe that but had not time to argue the fact thought it was best to just leave it and get back to work. I told them I will make time to leave a review that said rudely go ahead so what. Ok! Do not use Costa Coffee at 225 Preston Road take your money to an independent shop!

I went in at 9:16 to have a little Cappuccino and went out at 9:28, having only 1 person in front of me, in the end my Cappucino was also cold.

This is a decent Costa. The staff are polite. It is kept clean. They are much the same so not much to say. While I was there an elderly lady complained about everything, very vehemently. I thought she was way over the top but they dealt with her well, so good marks for the staff.

Standard Costa coffee. You can sit in side but there is also a bowls club opposite that you could go and sit on a bench. If it is rainy try the sheltered seats to the south of Preston manor garden. There is also seating in side and child seats.

calm and relaxing atmosphere, as in the morning most people are taking coffee for takeaway.

Cold food and time kept getting added

The drinks had spilt everywhere, there's hot coffee in the frappe, no caramel syrup and the delivery person was less than helpful

5 people in and 25 minute wait for Coffee

Wrong order, they just added hot water to instant coffee. The cup is ripped and so was the bags when they handed it to me. THE WORST.

No bad thing about the delivery service but the Costa drinks where wrong and didn’t come with the added requests that were paid for such as marshmallows - didn’t drink the drinks

Can't fault coffee ☕ staff lovely and friendly. Owners could do a bit more to make drinking/dining experience more inviting. More people would drink/eat in (spend more) we tend to when feeling relaxed and comfortable.

My salted caramel frostino just tasted like milk, cream and a hint of something else. Definitely not how it usually tastes.

Coffee was literally leaking from the bottom of the cup structure, just astonishing. Was given a bakewell tart instead of a Lemon curd tart. First time buying Costa and will be the last.

Dead coffee mo snackies and they kicked me and my mate out telling us they were closed at 5 but they actually close at 7. We weren't doing anything wrong I promise were just sitting there Chatting. Just plain rude from the manager

Nice clean coffee shop with plenty of coffee choices. Some parking available for a quick collection but watch out for traffic wardens (one can also park in the nearby Sainsbury's and walk across) good non dairy options, coconut milk and almond milk, perfect. Staff are nice and friendly. There is a customer toilet but haven't used it. All in all a good costa branch, recommended.

On the whole efficient and friendly staff. Good selection of savoury & sweet items. Only wholemeal bread available for toast. Mind the step going in/out

The one star is for the atmosphere. Went a few weeks ago for the first time since it opened and was so disappointed. A terrible refit. Almost no window seats, no where comfortable to sit, stairwell and bin near potential window seating and worst of all, only just warm. Also, they don't do the offers that Costa promote. It's fine though for take out coffee or if you are ok sitting on stools. Downside could be snug and comfortable but again, stools to sit on and cold. Odd!
