Haggle in Norwich

The food was Ok but my cold starter and hot food were sereved together. Nothing I would expect from a proper Turkish restaurant.

What a fantastic restaurant all round! The mezze plates were beautifully tasty, great portion sizes and reasonably priced. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out, and the staff were all incredibly welcoming, attentive and polite. I can't wait to come back!

Yummy food - a lot to explore on the menu. I find mezze an expensive way to eat, but that's less than half the menu here. The decor is also a feast for the eyes, quite evocative of a kitsch bazaar! We sat downstairs on the lovely and very comfy upholstered bench/chairs. We arrived at about 6 on a Wednesday and as you'd expect there were few people in, but by the time we left it was full. I hope they continue to do well - a very nice place to eat.

Great atmosphere and perfect modern touch to the traditional Turkish dishes with friendly and attentive staff! As someone from the region, Adana is by far the best and followed by the kiymali pide (both save us to go London regularly😅) Portions might not make some very happy but it's well balanced with the taste :)

Got the Avci boregi , Calamari, Akdeniz sougas and the Kaburga. All stunning but the standout was the calamari and the feta and walnut salad. Really stunning fresh and flavourful food. Would come back with more people and order more mezze and small plates in order to try more of the menu. Service was good. Would definitely recommend.

Firstly, I loved the idea that it’s a Mediterranean style restaurant cause I’m of the opinion that Mediterranean dishes are generous with flavours and spices. However, I didn’t get the kick I had anticipated with the honey garlic chicken wings. It was really bland and I couldn’t taste any flavour nor honey in it. I had a main course called Adana which is minced lamb in skewer. It was really tasty howbeit a little too salty. The side I enjoyed most was the bulgur! The bulgur was just perfect! Secondly, the atmosphere was great and really very busy, it’s not really a relaxing space tho, so you get the full busy city restaurant vibe which I guess it’s okay pending your preference. Thirdly, the service was really great. The person who waited on my section was really observant and hands on. I wish I could remember her name to give her a shout out but she really did a great job. Overall, it was a good experience hence my 4 star review 😊.

Very good food, terrible service, crammed in, tables far too close together, staff and customers cannot move between them without bumping into anyone sitting down. Blunt cutlery. No lamb and chicken mixed dishes, either lamb or chicken but not both.

Favourite restaurant in Norwich! Make a reservation. Really cool ambiance. Delicious mains, mezze, and Turkish tea. Really liked pide and must strongly recommend the brownie with ice cream

Yummy food, beautiful surroundings. Service ok, my drink took longer to come out than the food and at £13, that was disappointing. The food came out at different times which meant I ate way after my friends.

I ordered the Moussaka which is gluten free and vegan, and it was delicious. Generous portion size and great depth of flavour. Hearty, warming, and an amazing side salad of couscous, sweet potato, and beetroot too! Love the atmosphere and decor inside, and me and my parents had a cozy, quiet spot downstairs in comfortable chairs. The staff are friendly, and at no point did me or my parents feel rushed or pressurised to quickly finish and leave. Highly recommend, though the prices are high so it is on the more expensive end of the spectrum.

This was my second visit to Haggle. Really enjoyed the first time round. On this occasion we left Deniz to choose our dishes, we were not left disappointed. Every plate was delicious, some new experiences with the flavours for us too! Atmosphere is great, there's a real buzz. All round favourite place to go at the moment. Recommend to everyone.

Only went for cocktails and they were very nice but a bit expensive. The vibe wasn't anything too special for the price. Not sure I would go out of my way for drinks there again but will go back for food and update accordingly!

Great food but so bright and noisy

A very unassuming restaurant front belies the size of it inside. Two floors. Ground and a basement are both beautifully decorated. The food is huge and incrediblely tasty ! Wine and 3 courses. 50 quid a head and I was stuffed. The mangal lamb and chicken are so moist and tasty. Definitely book for Thursday onwards.

Really enjoyed our meal . We had a selection of cold and hot small plates a flatbread and lamb wrap which were all delicious and was great to get unlimited bread with cold plates. Catered well for vegetarians as well as meat eaters . A lovely relaxed atmosphere. Will be back for more.

This place has a great atmosphere if you want to gather with friends & family. The food however isn’t great, unimaginative & bland. I tried the vegan moussaka which was ‘over cheesed’ with very poor flavour! It was accompanied by a very bland salad! The portion was small & overpriced at £19.50! Come on all you polite Brits give honest feedback with the aim of improving standards!

Greasy breaded batter on tge calamari and tge ribs were unseasoned and very bland. Gyros was good. Naive witress id’d my 22 yr old daughter and even refused her a lage glass of wine and did not know how to deal with my complaints about the bland food.

What an amazing place! Food stunning, service faultless, atmosphere brilliant and chilled! Not cheap, but you pay for quality! Loved it!!!!!!

A lovely place and we enjoyed our evening here, the duck Bon bons were delicious and the chicken gyro was also great. The spicy sausage starter was also very good. The portions sizes were generous and there was a good selection of wines and desserts. Decor is very nice and staff were welcoming. We will return.

We visited on a Friday evening, hadn't booked and sat outside on the terrace as we have two very noisy and active children. The food was absolutely exceptional, the service was brilliant too with our waiter offering informative advice about items on the menu. The decor inside is also so beautiful. The pina coloda cocktail is the best I've had in this country! Will definitely go back and recommend you try, you won't be disappointed.

Tuesday lunchtime March 2022. Nice atmosphere, good food. There were a few other Turkish "restaurants" rated higher in Norwich, but this is the one that will win you brownie points with your partner ;) Going to some of the others might get you a divorce. Visited Oct 23 for 3rd time, still excellent. Will visit again

Really good Turkish food in Norwich. The place looks really nice and the staff were kind to us. Loved the hummus and the Pides (lamb and spicy sausage). It was my first time trying Turkish coffee and I must say I enjoyed it! Vegan options available 🌱

Late lunch with my family before heading to the theatre and we were blown away! Fantastic food and brilliant service! Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Norwich.

I arrived in person, hoping book for a group of 15 business associates for December. With 10 weeks to go before the proposed date, i thought it would give plenty of notice as December can be a very busy period. I asked the front of house manager if I could book there and then and was happy to pay a deposit. “You need to email us with your request” was his reply. He had the bookings on screen in front of him! How hard is it to take my booking and deposit money? But no, I am told there is no way I can book unless I email a request. Arrogance at its worst!! They clearly don’t need my business. There’s better Turkish restaurants in Norwich - Mr Mangal & Gem. I have now taken my business elsewhere. Arrogance and complacency doesn’t go far nowadays.

I’ve been to Haggle twice purely for the gorgeous décor and absolutely delicious vegan moussaka they have on their menu (I am Greek and it’s honestly just as good - if not better - than the real deal!) If you choose a busy night of the week to eat there, prepare for it to be quite chockablock inside as it is obviously a very popular choice for a fancy evening out. Other than that, we had another experience where we were sat downstairs and it was a much more chilled out vibe and atmosphere as the seating was more spread out. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and they make a mean mocktail too! You should definitely visit Haggle if you are ever in Norwich :)

Still great food , although the couscous salad was better before when we had it On the previous visit. Staff are polite and friendly, We booked an outdoor smoking table as one of our party smokes, Lunch was spoilt by the neighbouring table, asking us to put cigarette out,and complaining about your smoking Might be a good idea to warn the other diners. Amazing, every plate that came out was just so good, my daughter and son in law are both London chefs and said they would return, food and service were great, the only thing I wasn't happy with was the price of my glass of wine at £10 I buy an equivalent quality wine for £18 for 5ltrs so a bit expensive but other than that we will go back

Honestly wish I could give this place six stars. There lamb was incredible. The atmosphere is great. On a warm night sitting out on the street I felt like I was on holiday. Best Turkish food I've had outside of London. Highly recommend a visit!

This was not our first visit but always perfect. The only problem was knowing what to order, we nearly cracked it with my wife ordering a large main of 4 large lamb chops conversely i augmented this with 4 or 5 tapas. All great except maybe the calamari where the batter overpowered the squid. All the staff are friendly and great but I must make special mention of Stacy who made me a Dirty Vodka Martini which was not on the menu but made to perfection.

Fabulous, tasty Turkish food in a cosy yet elegant setting; informal and stylish restaurant. We found it quite by chance and had an excellent dinner. I would definitely go back again!

Visited Haggle with clients for dinner and was very pleased. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes from sharing style to individual dishes. There is road-side seating (which we used), but the venue is large and modern inside. The food is excellent, and good value. The sharing bread is fantastic as are the range of dips you can order. An excellent experience, I would definitely return if staying in Norwich again.

Lovely relaxed dining experience with attentive but not rushed service makes for a nice evening rather than just a meal. But the food is the star at this place superb flavours and perfectly cooked meats a great selection of small plates and traditional Turkish grilled meats with some other fantastic dishes available I’ve eaten here 4 times now and always struggle to decide what to order as it’s such a good menu ! Nice wine list and we tried the Turkish rose which I must admit was excellent. Already looking forward to my next visit.
