First time here and definitely will be going back, we have a super time and food was spot on

Excellent lunchtime offer. Starter and main for £12.90 without any limited menu selection or compromise on quality or portion size. The lamb stifado had generous chunks of tender meat. Drinks, dessert and service charge boosted the bill but no more than could be reasonably be expected.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere.

Went for bottomless brunch with my mate. A staff cleared someone else table and managed to ruin my leather jacket from far, told him and asked for a wet wipe, he didn’t react and didn’t show sign of apology. The manager said the waiter doesn’t speak English and they were busy in the restaurant so they couldn’t acknowledge what happened. The manager walked off without giving any acknowledgment. We are very disappointed as this was our favourite restaurant. We will not return to this restaurant again given how they handled the situation which is a shame.

Been here a few times, this place don't dissapoint, every meal we have had has been spot on, 1st time doing Brunch here, I drink Prosecco, my partner drinks wine, we got a bottle each and left on our table to enjoy, food was great, plenty to eat, and friendly staff, well done Gem for a great experience.

Came for bottomless brunch and it was so amazing. So well looked after by Frank and made out lunch so special. We’ll be back!

The best meal ever. The food and service were superb. Mixed starters, Kleftiko and mixed kebab enjoyed by all!! So glad we found this place.

We had the most fabulous meal at Gem!! We chose a wonderful variety of food between the five of us and each and every dish was incredible! I want to say some highlights (babaganoush…. Sish…Calamari….even mashed potato!) but I wouldn’t want to leave out everything else as it was so good 😆♥️ the service is particular was perfection. Super friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. The restaurant and decor itself was beautiful and for more than a moment we felt as though we were on holiday in Turkey ♥️ we’re excited to return as soon as we can!!

Good authentic Turkish meze with polite and attentive staff.

Amazing Turkish restaurant, one of my favourites to go and even with take away options to eat great food at home. The mixed Kofte is to die for generous portions and great flavours and you have to try their baklava 😱 it is delicious 🤤🤤

I don’t often leave reviews but Gem of Norwich was so lovely I thought I should! We had their family feast, which was perfect. Delicious food and very generous portions - excellent value for money. The service was just the right balance of friendly, welcoming and professional. I’ll definitely go back and highly recommend it.

Visited Gem last night for my birthday meal. My family and I (six of us) had set menu B - hot and cold mezze, a main course and a dessert for a very reasonable cost of £24.95 each. Food was delicious as always and there was loads of it! Thank you to our waiter who also popped the candle in my dessert and sang for my birthday. The service was a little slow to start with - that would be my only minute criticism.

I arrived when they were busy and they quickly fitted me in, the menu had lots of delicious options and a few things I don’t see often, including my favourite, and I asked if they could fit me in quickly as I had a train to catch and they did! The food was really delicious and I enjoyed it so much, the service and attention to detail was amazing, and they were so helpful! Fantastic! Thank you Gem of Norwich you got me through a long wait after train disruption!

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our pre-booked table. Drinks order taken and wine was very good. We chose all meze dishes rather than a main course and between 4 of us we had 10 dishes. Food arrived very quickly and was delicious, waiters were attentive and checked everything was okay and offered us more drinks. Great experience all round. It was a busy Saturday evening and the standard of service and food was very good.

I came with my partner for the first time and had the meze taster each with a glass of red and everything was just delicious. The flavours and experience overall was just wonderful and the decor is lovely and cosy. The staff were also wonderful and accommodating, always checking in. Will be returning and recommending!

Food was ok, 18 of us, starters came out fairly quickly - waited over 1 hr for the mains though, some served 15 minutes after others - awkward , atmosphere loud, value for money 6/10.!! Lovely night out, but definitely more the occasion than the food!! Service 👍

We arrived early and were immediately accommodated. The staff were friendly and the establishment was clean, modern and really nice. We ordered our mains and they arrived quickly and hot. The food was absolutely delicious! Generous portions and even the salad was tasty and fresh! Wide variety in the menu and the pricing was good! They had a separate menu for Gluten Free which was nice too!

I know every time I come to Norwich I am going to GEM and you have never disappointed me. The food stands on its own. The middle eastern flavours are to die for. We ordered the set menu with an entree and everything was great. I tried the mixed BBQ meat platter and it was so good. Thank you GEM for another rememberable meal. I look forward to seeing you the next time I am in town.

Great Turkish food located next to the train terminal. Excellent service in a nice atmosphere. You should definitely visit this place if you are in a mood to try nice food.

What a wonderful restaurant this is. There is a huge selection of different menu choices. The food is delicious- there were eight of us, we all had something different and the food was cooked beautifully. The best thing though was the amazing staff, so welcoming, polite and spot on with the amount of checking on us. This place really is a gem and we will be returning very soon.

Great choice of food and setting was excellent. Staff were efficient, everything arrived hot and will presented. Good was amazing, one of the best meals we've had in a while. Staff were dismissive, seamed hassled, under pressure, Maybe that was because it was a match night and it was very busy.

Starters were very pleasant. I found my Adana to be a little gritty with bone fragments and I wasn't keen on the Gem Delight mashed aubergine. On the other hand, the grilled chicken shish was absolutely delicious and I was glad my friend had a little extra left over. 😁 My veggie friend offered me a taste of her spinach duck egg dish and that had a lovely flavour and texture to it. Dessert: the toffee pot I shared with another friend was lovely too. Service was brilliant and the wine was lovely. Overall a good experience!

Table for 8 booked last night to celebrate the birthday. The atmosphere is stunning, soo cosy, staff go above and beyond, very clean tidy and professional. Cocktails were fantastic and the quality of the food was very evident. The only reason I'm not leaving this place 5* is because I walked out still feeling a little bit hungry. One of the things I love about Mr Mangalas on Dereham road is that you get good portion sizes but for me portions are a little stingy at Gem. Despite this though It really is a wonderful experience at Gem and I would definitely recommend.

Stopped in for lunch, couldn't have had a better experience. Red lentil couscous (tasty), with olives and pitta as starters, followed by sea bass (delicious) served with mashed potato (yummy) and salad. Didn't have time or, to be honest, room for desert!

Friendly warm atmosphere welcome like a family home. Food was amazing, I can eat loads but this place beat me. Will be back, but will fast for a few days beforehand so I can enjoy even more of the menu.

Very gorgeous place for a nice romantic dinner date with candles or for lunch out with friends/ family. Great service, atmosphere. Very delicious mezze mix for two it's more like for three people. Had a lovely evening celebrating a friend's birthday, the food was amazing, such a great variety, the service was excellent and the night was finished off with superb cocktails. It really was a great experience and would thoroughly recommend for a night out.

First time coming here after hearing really good things. Shared the Prawn starter which was gorgeous with the fresh bread. Cousin went for a mixed meat kebab and I went for a Chicken in white wine sauce. There was more than enough food for us both and the flavours were something else. We finished off with desserts which were just sweet enough and perfect end courses. The service was brilliant, they put up with our antics and drinks were regulary checked upon/replenished. The waitor who served us was friendly, humourous and really accommodating. Will definitely come again. Thank you to Emre and his team 🙏

Been four times to Gem now, food is always fantastic, lamb stifado is beautiful, mixed bbq meats, wow, the lamb in particular melts in your mouth, all staff are very friendly and welcoming, but a special mention to Seriff who was particularly attentive and very helpful

Went to Gem Norwich to celebrate my brother in laws birthday , I have to say that the food was exceptional and the service was equally good. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was a young lady with cherry earrings and kiss curls , unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was incredibly efficient and so so very pleasant , a great server who attended to us without being ever present . She supplied a birthday candle in a cork for my brother in law as we hadn't ordered any desert ( we didn't need any desert as the food was so good ) Seriously one of the best Turkish meals I have ever had. I had the land liver starter which was amazing followed by the mixed BBQ grill. The meat was perfectly cooked , so moist and tender, even the rice was tasty , so different to other restaurants where the rice is plain and dull. I cannot recommend the restaurant enough. Truly truly exceptional meal.

We spent the most gorgeous New Years Eve enjoying the exquisite culinary delights. Warm welcome was received and extremely attentive service - could not fault it. Choccie of drinks and food was super - we shared a number of starters all so fresh and tasty....

Excellent Turkish dishes with superb service - highly recommend

The beef and lamb dishes were cooked to perfection. The octopus was tender and beautifully seasoned, a real highlight of the evening. The meze selection, particularly the tzatziki and hummus, was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to our meal. The attentive and friendly staff made our experience even more enjoyable. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Turkish cuisine.

Eat here! I've never been blown away by salad before but this was amazing. Warm goat's cheese, slices of fig, and a sweet honey dressing did something magical to a bowl of leaves. I could write poetry about that salad! If I could only eat one meal for the rest of my life, it would be that salad. Everyone else at the table said that their meal was delicious too. The staff were all warm and friendly, the space was impeccably clean and very comfortable, the service was swift and efficient. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as meat and seafood. I walked in feeling exhausted, with a splitting headache, feeling the stress of Christmas preparations. I left feeling completely revived... by salad.

Great food and service for our works Christmas meal. Had the sharing platter and main which was excellent. Highly recommend.

Food was cooked nicely but didn't get enough of it - 4 chicken wings for £6.70 then the main - mixed shish grill- 4 pieces of chicken 4 pieces of lamb and 10 chips and tiny salad for £20 sorry but not even a smiley waiter can justify that price to me. Got a pizza on the way home as was still hungry.should have done that in the first place and saved myself £40.

Turkish/Greek restaurant close to the station. We had a selection of dishes from the cold/hot meze menu. We found that five dishes between two was quite sufficient for lunch. They are continuing with the discounted meals offer throughout September with some restrictions on Friday/Saturday.

Visited Gem several times now and never had a bad meal. Service levels are always spot on and a good laugh. Food is amazing and also great location. Will always return.

I can't help feel that this place is bad value for money overall. The dishes are so expensive considering the amount you get and how small the sides are. I ordered the chicken combo which set me back £17 (one of the cheapest) for 6 pieces of chicken - a small bowl of rice (which was flavourless) and salad. I saw one of the mezzes was just yogurt, cucumber and dill for £6/7 - Crazy. On top of that they add 10% service charge and I honestly hate this tactic. There are better value places with better flavours in Norwich.

Really nice place, staff very helpful, menu can seem complicated and I would ask for some help, Hummus and Tabule beautiful with the flat bread and the grill, anything from the grill, is very special. Great vegetarian\vegan choices, but to be fair, it's the meat which is essential. Good selection of wine and spirits and a few good beers. Only grumble is with the incorrect spelling of Whisky - there is real Whisky (Scottish and the best) and then there is the lesser American\Irish Whiskey (tongue in cheek)

Wow! The food here is absolutely amazing. My husband and I shared the platter for 2 which I didn’t think we would get through-it was so big! There was salad, gluten free pita bread and we had halloumi cheese to accompany it all as well....

As a vegetarian, I was not very sure about this restaurant but my friends take me anyway. They don't have many options for vegetarians but people the food is incredible,the portions are very good and service is great but you need to BOOK A TABLE!! Do not go without booking. I had veg moussaka and Baklava for dessert. Both are amazing. Order Baklava only if you love sweet!!
