Gyro City in Stoke-on-Trent

I would like to talk about my experience with this restaurant as they do not adhere to any of the basic rules - of human decency! I was treated without respect I was shouted at and at the end she also made a racist comment “that I am so Greek” because in fact I called to make a complaint about my order . Let me start by saying that I have severe health issues with anything containing onion so many many times I had requested no onion in my order and never once did this restaurant follow up and most of the time I ended up taking them out myself afraid that maybe I would have issues after with my stomache. Today I made the same order halloumi gyros as I am a vegetarian and its the only thing that I can eat and reminds me of Souvlaki that we eat in Greece - and it had small pieces of meat in side. Vegetarian and meat do not mix - so I got pretty angry and decided to call the restaurant and talk with the manager as that for me was a grave mistake and that the behavior was irresponsible and with no respect to a persons eating habits or way of life. The lady on the phone was shouting was rude , unprofessional , unapologetic and told me 2 things if you do not like do not order again and that you are Greek that is why you are complaining. You may understand my anger as she was obliged to apologize for her irresponsible behaviors and lack of respect to a humans right to choose what to eat. So , based on all the above after my experience I give 0 to this restaurant and based on the ladys irresponsibility if u do order in the end who knows what you eat...! Think about it! Thank you for your time.

Amazing cooked meats and halloumi. Would definitely return and recommend. Great value for money and friendly, helpful staff.

Greek salads were amazing and we got so much food for the price, it was excellent. Really good salads and authentic Greek tasting, lovely food. Staff were lovely too and also gave us a free sweet treat after. Would definitely go again. Large amount of food for a low price. Very clean and well kept place, good food on offer on menu.

We ordered a mixed grill kebab on deliveroo and 60% of what was stated on the order didn't turn up. The sausauge was substituted by what looked like 2 burgers the grilled halloumi was missing and the extras we paid for didnt turn up, the sauces were wrong the meatballs were missing and to top it off the delivery driver was on his phone and just dropped it on the floor in a supermarket plastic bag.

since changed owners the food has really gone downhill, the quality of the meat has really gone downhill, the service is decent

Amazing food!!! So happy we decided to eat here. We had vegetarian gyros, Greek salad and feta cheese cheesy chips and it tasted just like when we were in Santorini! Plenty of options for vegans and super good price! Will come back for sure

This place is a gem stone for Stoke. The food is cooked fresh and tastes AMAZING. It’s clean and the staff are extremely pleasant. About time stoke had a quality Greek restaurant / take away. Will be returning again and again

Really happy there is a Greek place in stoke! Delicious gyros, friendly staff, good value for money, accepts card and indoor seating. Can’t wait to visit again!

Amazing Greek food so tasty and very friendly people. Went with friends for take away food. Deffo will go back and bring friends with me.

Nipped in here on my own just to try it out and was very impressed. Super friendly staff, excellent authentic Greek food and at a great price. I’ll be going back and taking others with me! They have seats, do takeaway and are starting delivery. I suggest you give them a try.
