Tan pronto como entramos en la reina gitana, todos fuimos recibidos con una sonrisa amable de todo el personal. Pedimos bebidas, así como comida, que llegó rápidamente. La comida fue servida por Billy, que era encantador y vino caliente y estaba delicioso. Teníamos la intención de solo permanecer una hora sin embargo nos quedamos mucho más tiempo , debido al gran ambiente, así como tener risas con el personal. Una mención especial de Charlie que nos hizo sentir bienvenidos y nos ayudó si necesitábamos ayuda. Ella se aseguró de que teníamos todo lo necesario y ayudó con cualquier extra que necesitábamos. Ella se aseguró de que las alergias que mi madre tenía se vieran a , y puso sus problemas primero asegurándose de que tuvimos un gran tiempo allí. Es una pena ver este lugar cerca, ya que era maravilloso.

Came here with my son for lunch. Had the burger deal 😋 Followed by the horseshoe donut dessert which we shared!!! A lovely friendly and welcoming place. Exceptional staff especially Tiffany and Michelle who chatted with us! Would definately recommend 👌

Meals are great value for money here good portion sizes and all came out piping hot nice selection of drinks too! Staff are welcoming and friendly Laura was most helpful and polite and made us thoroughly enjoy our visit

Came in for a quick dinner yesterday, food was excellent, all staff were lovely but shout out to Ellie on the bar who happily helped give recommendations on drinks and helped us decide on our meal when I was stuck on what to eat!

Food was very slow despite pub being almost empty. Had to wait ages for plates to be cleared and kids desert to be served. Steak was overcooked. Fire Door was chained and locked and highchair wedged in push bar.

So disappointed with Christmas lunch. Never got our welcome drink. The dinner was warm and vegetables hard and Christmas pudding never came either. At £50 per head I expected more.

We are regular diners at the Gypsy Queen and the staff are exceptional

Today has been such a wonderful and amazing visit. Had a tripple gammon, the food was excellent and they have been very supportive with my allergy to peas. The service by Tiffany was exceptional and she is a credit to their team with her polite and friendly service. So helpful and kind hearted. The horseshoe ice cream doghnut was a slice of heaven for dessert. Again the service stayed spectacular. Also credit to Michelle of there team who made me also feel so welcomed. And made the time there very enjoyable. Its very nice when they remembered me from prior visits. A huge thank you to them for this tremendous dining experience me and my friend Steve had. Five stars out of five and really wish i could give it more than that. Please enjoy the wonderful food there and brilliant service.

Went out for a Sunday tea, staff were absolutely fantastic from bar staff to waiter staff, we all had different food and not one complaint. Will definitely be returning.

Very disappointing apparently it is beyond the means of the pub to bring you cutlery now with your meal and ask if you need sauces. Ordered a burger that should have had bacon on it but no bacon. Sent it back came back with 2 tiny slivers. Waited 15 minutes for drinks ordered on app only came after telling bar staff apparently no one watches the screen or seems to. The big chains wonder why revenu is going down guess why.

Always a friendly smile when I go in. Clean pub and restaurant with lovely staff, with quick and efficient service! Was served today by Charlie who was very polite and made it a very enjoyable experience ❤️ will be returning!

Best pint in s20 if you’re down this area I’d recommend a visit. Lovely staff fast service. Facilities also up to date such as a new pool table. The atmosphere on a weekend is lively get yourself down when you’re free

Ordered 2 cokes and fresh orange juice. No fresh orange juice but got a JTO. Coke still wasn’t served when we got our food. Asked are we going to get our drinks, told machine wasn’t working! So I said well can we have some other drink then? She asked if we wanted a cup of Tea ?? I said not really, so had 2 more JTO’s. We weren’t asked while we were sat waiting if we would like other drinks as the machine was broken, we were just left without one!! I had gammon which was quite nice, pineapple was really cold (straight out of a tin, no doubt) peas were stone cold and my husbands steak wasn’t very nice and his peas were also stone cold. Saw someone ordering a meal, no garlic bread and another returned her food said her chips were cold too. Think they need to get there act together in the kitchen and probably get more staff, I’m afraid I won’t be going here again, Disappointing!!

Just had a lovely meal with friends

Came in Sunday teatime and unfortunately very disappointed the pub was actually absolute chaos with unclean tables food plates everywhere the bar absolutely covered in dirty glasses and rubbish the young lady behind the bar was doing her best given she was on her own and she was very apologetic and we could tell she was under huge pressure but her service was actually still excellent and we felt bad for her as she was getting shouted at by customers for the wait times when you could see she was very overworked. Soft drinks having to be poured in pint glasses? No cutlery or napkins available? The only real positive to the whole visit was the bar lady’s service as the wait times on food and desserts was actually very poor and the young girl bringing food out looked as though she couldn’t really be bothered to be there. No check back was given so we never even got to mention the problems with the main courses. Very poor gone very downhill lately with a very clear lack of staff. Definitely won’t be visiting again on a weekend anytime soon

We come to the gypsy queen most Sundays, lately the service has been appalling, we understand they are " understaffed" but it gets worse, week by week. It was particularly cold in there today, don't expect to have to sit with my coat on. We booked a certain table last week, due to mobility issues, only to turn up at said time to find someone else at that table. Oh sorry, we were too busy to put reserved on that table, funny how so many other tables were reserved 🤔 hopefully next week will be better service, warmer and adequate staff on, don't really want to go elsewhere. We weren't even reserved an alternative table, shame, the previous landlady and her staff were always accommodating, friendly, most of them have left......

We had lunch at The Gypsy Queen today. Plenty of free parking. Lunchtime deal of beef lasagne with salad and chicken tikka masala with poppadom. Very enjoyable meals with excellent from our friendly waitress, Tiffany. Many thanks. Gary & Jean

I'm not a fan of rehydrate food anyway but this place is the wost pub food I've ever had, I had half of roast chicken with 2 sides, the sides were fine but the chicken was just like eating rubber.

One of our favourite places to eat. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere.

I had Fish and Chips but the chips was very cold, so couldn't eat it.

Took my Grandchildren in after school . The kids jacket beans and cheese went down a treat . Lasagne was piping hot and they both had mocktails . I had steak sizzler which was on offer on a Monday . Lovey meal and staff were very polite and welcoming .

We came yesterday for a meal with friends and was served by a waitress called Tiffany. We decided on our meal meals and Tiffany was really good at helping us sort out our desserts. She came back to check everything was alright after our main meal . The food was excellent and service very good. We will be visiting again.

We went for a Sunday dinner and the serving staff was very kind but I got 1 slice of beef while the other people got half a slice and the mash potato was grey and the only good thing was the roast potatoes which even weren't good

Not been here for a number of years and won't be coming again for a number of years. We popped in for tea with the kids after a day out, we got seated and went to bar to order food and drinks, but the drinks we asked for was not the drinks we got, when i told the bar boy that they was not the drinks we had asked him for 1min ago, he just said well you will have to have them i have all ready taken the top's of the bottles, my friend was ok to just have her's and not cause an upset. I would have been ok with the drink if i had liked it but i didn't, so I asked him to change it in reply he said he couldn't as he had all ready taken the top off the bottle. In reply, and said tuff, that was his folt in the first place. He said that thay didn't sell the drink that was advertised in the drinks menu. I was puzzled, wy it was in the menu and he said it was a summer drink? I Didn't bother asking anything else and said I would like the ginger beer cider which he did get me one in a huff. Regarding the food the kid's food was fabulous and adult food was ok too. Probably shouldn't say not go back in year's more than likely will and have kid's meal & a lime & soda.

Fantastic little pub we played afternoon bingo after a spot of lunch with friends and the atmosphere was brilliant the staff Laura Hannah and Charlie were all absolutely brilliant well mannered polite and offered excellent service the food was of good standard with good portion sizes well cooked and presented a great local

Although the serving staff was very polite, that was probably the only good thing I can say. The pub was practically empty when we arrive but we were made to wait for an extended period of time for our food. When my meal eventually arrived, I found a hair in my meal but was then made to feel that I was lying. My son’s steak was inedible and had to be sent back and my nieces jacket potato was still frozen. My son’s replacement meal came after everyone had finished eating. The food was quite clearly microwaved and most of the meals were over cooked. We were then offered 3 deserts as a good will gesture. My niece was then made to wait again for hers and it arrived only after having to question where it was. This was the first time visiting in a while and we won’t be returning in a hurry!

We went for a Sunday dinner. While the food was ok we only got one slice of beef with each dinner. The meals that where delivered to our tables looked nothing like the menu in appearance or size.

I had a roast dinner.. for a change I decided to have beef ..I asked if the beef was or tuff or chewy before ordering.. she replied there hasn't been any complaints about it being tuff or chewy.. so I ordered it.. unfortunately it was like old shoe leather..I informed the staff member.. she asked if I wanted a replacement or turkey instead..I said, could I have turkey instead to be on the safe side.. she said no problem sir and went off to get my turkey.. only to bring back more beef.. which was as chewy as the last.. my question is can anyone nowadays cook food that a person can enjoy ..I know many places where the beef is cooked great.. trying to cut that beef was bending my knife and fork trying to cut it..I even showed the staff member..I picked it up with my fingers and pulled it.. it was like an elastic band.. to restore we will not be going back...

The food we had tasted pre cooked an all microwaved. My other half had lasagne an it was all black(burnt) on top and all rock solid. I had a chicken burger what had barely any chicken on it. I spent 35 quid and ate barely nothing. We use to love this place, shame really.

Have now become a frequent visitor and since day one have been felt welcome. Now the staff know me and my family and always make an effort to say hello.

Been coming here years and will continue to do so because its local and that's the only reason. The bar service is unbelievably poor. Every single visit there's either not enough bar staff on or there's no awareness or rush in anyone. I'm there now writing this review 🤣. That's how frustrating it is.

Nice place, food just average pub grub, and like all chain pubs, food and drink slightly overpriced. Parking good, on the whole enjoyed our visit 👍

Me and my friend booked a table for food and a catch-up. The food was lovely and came out pretty quick. It was nice to pop in after the rubbish weather. I've not been in for a while.

Just popped in the gypsies for a swift pint. Nice little boozer, hungary horse. They do a nice rack of onion rings here on a horse shoe ring 💍 Come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

"Side salad" consisted of a collection of sad lettuce leaves , brown in places , for which I had to request a replacement and my coleslaw was also missing. Very slow service when ordering coffee on the app. Staff friendly and helpful enough but lacking enthusiasm.

Came in this afternoon to try the new menu Wow it did not disappoint !! Best menu by far and wide range of food for everyone Had the new lamb kofta stack , it was mouth watering Would highly recommend !!

Sorry to say called in gypsy queen on Sunday very disappointed with Sunday dinner, the dinner arrived on a cold plate, portion control hardly any mash, the beef was fatty couldn't chew it for the price it was awful, no wonder there was no body in. Oh and I did order the large dinner it was no where near large, as a reviewer and former restaurant owner very disappointed. So can't recommend.

Been to gypsy queen alot of times and enjoyed the meals. very disappointed in the last 2 meals the quality was poor and the portions are alot smaller than last times I visted

The staff and service here was lovely, but me and my dad came here and got a full English breakfast, and we both ended up with food poisoning. May have just been a one off thing but put me off a bit.

Fantastic service especially Michelle who was wonderful taking time out to have a chat with my daughters and asking about there day was lovely to see definitely a credit to the business.. Thank you Michelle. We been few times and most certainly be returning again.

Called off here for something to eat after being at Rothervalley. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff and ordered our drinks. Once we had decided on what we wanted to eat we were again greeted by another friendly member of staff. Ordering was easy and our food came out pretty quickly. The portions were a really good size and definitely value foe money.. We had mixed grill and all the meats were cooked well and tasty. And thw classic chicken new yorker meal which was again very nice food. We would highly recommend here for food and thw atmosphere was nice as it was quiet .. I think there's something foe everyone here and when in the area again we will definitely be back.

Friendly staff, fantastic food, clean environment. Sadly on our 4th visit our 8 year old found a very indecent image chucked on the floor, some vile customer had been leaving them for people to find. After mentioning this to the manager they came over to apologise what I thought was polite of them.
