Lovely place to grab some brunch, a light lunch or even just coffee. The staff were amazing and the service was fast and friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating available and would recommend the outdoor seating if the weather permits. Easy to digest menu and the prices are decent. Tried the salmon with toast and also the porched eggs and they were splendid. Would definitely recommend to anyone busing the area and the Newquay beach is a few feet away.

We go to Cornwall every September and always visit Gwenna's. The service is first rate, the food is excellent. The gin & tonic cake and hummingbird cake are to die for; mind you, so are the cream teas, carrot cake and... actually, it's all good. Already looking forward to next September 😋

Came here yesterday with my family and had the cream tea. It was absolutely delicious, I would even say some of the best I've had! The scones were warm to touch and soft on the inside. And the clotted cream was incredibly creamy. The place was clean and very quirky. And the ladies were nice and friendly even though they were very busy. I will definitely pop here every time I am in Newquay. Highly recommend.

This is a gorgeous little Cornish cottage run by a very friendly team. I can only speak to their coffee, and can say that they really know how to make good coffee and actually listen to what you want: my flat whites have been spot-on all week. Also, this is the home of the AmeriKernow: it was invented here and is well with trying if you want to add a Cornish twist to your coffee.

Excellent little place, a minute from the beach, small and popular so can be busy most of the time so you might have to wait for a table but worth it! No parking. The home made cakes were a particular hit with the whole family!

What a nice little teahouse! Gwenna Teahouse in Newquay has a charming Victorian interior that made me feel right at home. The friendly staff added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We tried their menu while on a family trip, and it was the best decision. The scones and clotted cream were the best I've ever had. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend Gwenna Teahouse for anyone visiting Newquay.

It was between mealtimes so we shared a teacake. Range of cakes to chose from and lots of vegan options if that’s for you. Sadly no toilets in the place. Lovely customer service and oldie worldie feel.

Fabulous cream tea. Friendly, helpful staff. Super scones, homemade and still warm! Quaint sitting areas inside but all dog friendly, there is outside seating as well. Next to Porth beach so can go for a wander before or after! The cottage is one of the oldest survivors in Newquay and has kept its originality.

This place is lovely I had pre booked an afternoon tea for 5. The food was delicious, but it was not what I asked for. Having chatted on the phone about the food requirements I made it very clear the 3 people wanted vegetarian, one meat, one only cheese. It was agreed that I would receive one meat sandwich and one cheese sandwich. I believed that this would be a round of sandwiches of each as the 2 people making those requests didn't want vegetarian and my daughter would only eat cheese. Sadly on arrival we received 1 finger of meat and 1 finger of cheese, this was obviously very disappointing to my family members. We didn't want to make a fuss as there was clearly crossed wires but please keep this in mind if you want to make any special requests. The best brunch / cream tea I've had for years. We went in today for a light brunch; sandwiches and cream teas with our 2 daughters (8 months and 3 years old). The service was impeccable, we were made to feel like a guest at someone's house, rather than a restaurant. The food itself was great, like I said we only have sandwiches and cream teas but it was so good! Will definitely be back to try something different / more substantial next time.

Gwenna Teahouse is a new fav of ours. Situated right by Porth beach, there is outdoor seating which catches plenty of sun. Staff are always friendly, and service is perfect. We feel looked after everytime we go, but not rushed. The cakes are the best bit. The Hummingbird cake, is to die for! We love the cute tea cups and very much look forward to future visits.

Everything from the bread to the coffee tasted great, so much so that we have been back twice in 7 days! It's worth the trip to this lovely place, it certainly won't disppoint. A real hidden gem. Slightly underwhelmed given the good reviews 😐 On a positive note, the building is lovely and the scones were above average. Value for money - £13.50 for a crab sandwich on sliced white bread from the super market, with minimal garnish and effort was disappointing. For a premium price you expect more. 🦀 👎 Toilet - having to use the public beach toilet down the road (which, by the way is pretty disgusting) is not ideal. 🚶‍♀️ 🚻. All in all not bad but with such high expectations, we were disappointed.

We visited Gwenna’s on three occasions, luckily the staff were able to accommodate us as there were nine of us (and 3 little dogs). We had two breakfasts and a late lunch/ fizzy cream tea. It was all outstanding especially the crab, homemade quiche, and the Cornish cream teas. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff were very chatty and welcoming especially Will. I wish we weren’t so far away as I’d love to go back more often.
