Gusto Italian in Nottingham

Food wasn't the best. Calamari chewy. Meatballs tasted good but were cold in the middle. Crab pasta, not great... sauce too sickly and crab too finely shredded. Arrabiata was nice, but pasta too al dente Drinks came after our food. Had to ask for clean cutlery after starters. Reminded myself why I don't go out on Valentines weekend and expect good food and a good restaurant experience.... Good atmosphere, though, and busy restaurant .

My partner booked us a table here for my birthday 19th Feb before we went to the theatre. I was really looking forward to it. We chose our meals. I had the carbonara as it was my favourite. My partner had the 3 meat lasagne. When it came I was told the plate was hot. It wasn't, not at all hot.. only the spaghetti at the bottom.. I have a digestive disorder and as soon as I started to eat my food it tasted ok but soon got cold as the bowl wasn't hot.. I started to struggle swallowing it. As it was cold so I ended up going to the bathroom. When I returned my food was even colder so I asked for it to be warmed up. Which they did but it only dried it up more and made it even less palatable.. so I ended up leaving a lot of it. Which I hate doing, as it was expensive.. we ordered a dessert. Which was better and a coffee these were better but I was so Disappointed in the main meal My partner meal was hot..and he said was very nice.. mine was very plain and not enough sauce to keep it from drying up. When it was taken away to be warmed up a little extra sauce should of been added to moisten it up.. Im Very disappointed. As I usually enjoy Italian food. The fact that my food was cold made it worse for me to digest it.. as it was dry and got stuck in my gullet.. when trying to swallow.

I visited Gusto Italian during their fantastic January 50% off membership promotion, and the experience was absolutely delightful. The restaurant's ambiance was charming and sophisticated, with an inviting atmosphere that immediately made me feel welcome. The food and drinks were exceptional in quality. My standout dish was the Scallop & Prawn Ravioli, which was truly remarkable. The lobster bisque was incredibly rich and flavourful, perfectly complementing the ravioli and creating an extraordinary culinary experience. What truly elevated the evening was the outstanding service. Every staff member was genuinely warm, displaying remarkable enthusiasm and professionalism. Their welcoming smiles and attentive approach made us feel incredibly comfortable, transforming a simple meal into a memorable dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend Gusto Italian to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience.

We were really looking forward to lunch but were disappointed as the food was very bland yet very expensive. Will not be returning - sorry

Had an absolutely brilliant night out last Saturday. Food was well cooked, well presented and tasted delicious. Service was perfect - staff very attentive and friendly, no request is too much trouble. They made the whole experience feel special. Atmosphere was a bit noisy but as expected for a Saturday night out, but not too bad.

Awful food, my avocado tasted like avocado out of a pre-bought packet. We were forgotten about when our server changed. Assumed we would pay a service charge of £12. All in all not worth the £76 at all. Better food at wetherspoons. Saved only by some nice drinks

A lovely setting for our daughter’s 18th birthday meal. Everything was perfect. Andreea gave us excellent service and was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and we took a birthday cake that was brought out to our daughter,along with plates for us all. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Came for a lovely meal for my Girlfriends birthday, the food was absolutely delicious and had great vegetarian options! The cocktails were very nice and had a great range. The music was a nice level and helped shape the atmosphere. Our server Ruby was very attentive and keen to help out, give the girl a raise! Would definitely recommend.

We had an incredible time at Gusto for bottomless brunch, and our experience was made even better by our amazing waitress, Consuelo. From the moment we arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, making sure we never had an empty glass and always checking in to see if we needed anything. Despite how busy it was, Consuelo made us feel like a priority, keeping everything running smoothly while always having a smile on her face. Her friendly and professional service truly elevated our experience, and her recommendations were spot on—the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you, Consuelo, for making our brunch so enjoyable! We’ll definitely be back soon and will be recommending Gusto (and Consuelo’s fantastic service) to everyone.

Visited for our Sons 21st Birthday on a Tuesday afternoon. Food was great and very tasty. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and friendly, especially Ben who did brilliantly on his first day and will be a great addition to the team. Will definitely be back!

As ever, nice, well-presented food, but the portions are modest in size and if we had not taken advantage of the 50% January discount, this would have been a very expensive meal and not such good value for money, especially as there are no really cheap wine options (it was, however, excellent!) and the service charge was calculated on pre-discount prices rather than the final bill! There was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant, however, and our waitress (Beatrice) was lovely!

What lovely food! It's such a beautiful restaurant with such friendly staff, from being welcomed as soon as you walk in. We were served by the lovely Andreea, who was very knowledgeable on the menu, so could answer any questions or suggest alternatives which was appreciated. The food was lovely, tasty and well presented. Its not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and if you sign up for their reward scheme, it helps. Would be good for a special occasion or date night etc.

Excellent food, attentive and friendly staff, good ambience. Great 50% off food offer on currently. Wine portions were generous which is never a bad thing! Great place to come for Italian food.
