Gusto Italian in Nottingham

We had dinner at Gusto in Nottingham on our wedding anniversary and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. I had a pepperoni pizza and to be fair, this was pretty good. However the scallop ravioli which my wife had was very poor. Apart from the sauce, which was nice, the filling of the ravioli was unpleasant and sloppy. This dish is a favourite of my wife and she has eaten it in many Italian restaurants, both in Italy and the UK, and usually really enjoys it. Sadly not at this establishment. There are many good restaurants in Nottingham and (apart from the pizza) I would look to these for a good dinner.

I’ve only given this a 2* as the food was edible . We was greeted and was sat at 5pm it then took 15 minutes to order a drink at that point the waiter stated ‘ she wasn’t aware this was her section ‘ the food was ok although the plates were cold and the carbonara was luck warm . No apologies given . Will not be returning again

Lovely waitress Andreea, very accommodating friendly and quite stressful for herself considering there was 16 and she had to serve us on her own. Overall I’d say a good experience, it did take them 30 mins to serve us the first drink but we made up for it. Only thing id complain about is the toilets. No lock on one of the doors.

Lovely food, attentive staff. Server sareena was polite and nothing was any problem. Was in on a Thursday lunchtime so wasn’t busy hence the low atmosphere rating

This was a nice Italian restaurant. We went midweek and it wasn't busy. Food was nice. Beware that they put on a approx 15% service charge, however this is discretionary. However it is awkward asking to take this off if you only want to pay the usual 10%.

Ben was such a lovely host! We had a fab time with him for our friends birthday! He explained everything really well and made sure we was well looked after all throughout!

Lovely meal, very quick, efficient and polite service in a very chic setting.

The food was nice and the service was good. The music was a little loud for holding conversations. Scored 4 as we felt it was rather pricey.

Everytime I come for dinner it is sublime , the food is miraculous and indulgent, i can never make a choice so I somtimes order 2 starters, the staff are smazing and so friendly and tentative, the manager has been on point with his service everytime I'm there I love the cocktails I'm always ordering 2 or 3 at a time, its my favourite place to come and treat myself

It was a nice first visit and it was also my birthday so I got a complementary birthday surprise which I did not expect. Although there was a delay in our serving, it could have been quicker if we ordered online. All in all, the staff were respectful and we had a nice time

First time here, had a fantastic meal with my boyfriend. Everything was perfect, food, ambience, staff. Can't wait to return.

Had the most wonderful time with a group of 11 of us celebrating a wedding and a birthday! The food was absolutely delicious, and every care was taken with any allergies and food requirements. The staff were so unbelievably adorable and helpful, and didn’t mind putting up with us all! We are a loud bunch :D Thank you for an amazing time and amazing memories made!

We were greeted warmly and recognised before we said who we were and seated promptly and with a smile. Our server, Ben was incredible with his friendliness and attitude towards us and the cooks made some really tasty food.

Enjoyed the meal, which is bit pricey, but not the service charge. The staff were helpful and friendly. Only real downside the meal kept repeating on both of us later.

Nice restaurant in the centre of Nottingham, with a good relaxed atmosphere. We ordered Pizzas, and whilst one was fine, if a little plain, the other proved to be a little heavy on the oil and what should have been a drizzle, had clearly been applied a little too heavy handedly. Our bill arrived and I was disappointed to note that a service charge of 12.5% had been applied. This was discretionary, but had been added without our knowledge. Under the circustances, we decided to ask for it to be removed which left a slight sour note to our experience.

Como nos íbamos a casar en la casa del consejo en la plaza, elegimos Gusto para disfrutar de una comida de celebración después, ya que atendía a todos en la familia (algunos que no les gustan las verduras, otros que son pescatarios, otros que no les gusta la especia y dos niños u set 6 ) sin dejar de tener un aire de sofisticación! Tuvimos la comida más fantástica. El servicio fue fenomenal, incluso nos dieron un capricho complementario a una botella de efluvio, y el gerente y los servidores aprendieron nuestros nombres durante nuestra visita, que fue un toque personal encantador. La comida era de un gran nivel, y a pesar de que mi (ahora) marido había pre-ordenado el entrante incorrecto para mí lo ordenaron tan rápido, a pesar de que era nuestro error. El personal era increíble con los niños, y realmente hizo nuestra visita especial.

Had a delicious meal here at the weekend! Booked as a hen party of 7, and the restaurant were so accommodating. The staff were so attentive and kind and were so knowledgeable about the menu. They really made our experience - a shout out to ‘Ben’ who was so lovely and really looked after us- thank you! Food is delicious- hard to find such a good Italian menu that boasts so many options. The cocktails was also so delicious! Will definitely be returning!

Fantastic place, busy but a great vibe and buzz. The staff are superb. Unfortunately didn't get the name of our waitress but she was so friendly, polite, prompt and attentive without being OTT. I cannot fault this place. The food is fabulous and arrived very quickly and hot. The prawn ravioli is exceptional, my partner had the same in noodles, stunning. Definitely go, they couldn't have been better!

Italian in the center of the city with excellent decoration and aesthetics. A large clean space, with tables that could accommodate large groups (we were 7 and booked a table 5 minutes before going to the restaurant). The service was very kind: Andreea helped us with our order and took special care of us. However, the food did not excite us. Most of the dishes were tasteless and we had to add salt to almost everything. The pizza could be more crispy. The desserts were a pleasant surprise, especially the tiramisu and the brownie. Overall, the restaurant was quite expensive for the quality of the food it offers.

First visit to a Gusto and absolutely fantastic, brilliant staff and gorgeous food with a great wine selection. The Manager really was very helpful, so well done Nottingham

Nice place. Good food. Expensive. Please be aware they add 12.5% service charge to the bill. I felt that although the service was good, I should have the choice of whether or not to give a tip it should not just be added.

Been here only twice, my last visit for Mothers day was a pleasure, the staff were all super friendly and very helpful, we were dealt with by possibly the Manager, but a really polite and friendly guy who couldn't do enough for myself and my family, Highly recommended as somewhere to go and enjoy great food in a warm and friendly environment.

I thoroughly enjoyed my pizza experience hosted by Ben and Shane. It was so fun and interactive and it was great being able to see everyone getting involved. They accommodated peoples’ allergies and made sure the surfaces were clean for everyone. We had three incredible courses and there was so much variety. So amazing!! Such a good deal and a fun night. Made better by Ben and chef Shane’s friendliness as well as their skills at teaching us how to make everything (we did the pizza experience)!! Pizza experience was fab, led by Ben and Chef Shane who were very knowledgeable, super attentive, and just plain vibes. Had lots of yummy food to start and cannoli to finish but the actual pizza making was fab and they turned out great! Highly recommend- there were 10 of us and it was the perfect number.
