Gusto Italian in Nottingham

Fantastic afternoon with my dad and niece at Gusto Nottingham! Our server Evie was really friendly, attentive and accommodating. She did an amazing job! Thanks to the manager Gracie as well who was also really helpful! They were running the whole restaurant by themselves! We even got to meet the head chef Danny, who was amazing and did an excellent job with the food! It was great to see a restaurant so thriving and busy with staff who clearly love their jobs and work extremely hard! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an amazing meal with outstanding service!

Was a little disappointed overall this time at Gusto Nottingham, there was no draught beer at all, fundamental, also had run out of Montepulciano, not great for Italian. The main courses were quite tasty but not hot and served in a cold dish. There didn't seem to be many serving staff so things ran a bit slow, our mains were plonked in front of us and servers disappeared pronto, would have liked to have had some parmesan grated on mine, but was neither asked if there was anything else we needed or had the opportunity to ask ask the waiting staff were rushing around. The dough petals were not cooked through and subsequently a bit chewy with raw garlic that made them a bit unpleasant. At no point did anyone ask if everything was alright with our food, as we would have mentioned this at the time. We paid our bill and left the restaurant, was going to bring my concerns to the staff on leaving but no-one was around, such a shame because my previous visit was really good.

Our first visit so perhaps we were just unlucky . Our food arrived before our drinks which I reminded staff about twice The food was lovely but they got the bill wrong charging us for a drink we never had! So : food was great , atmosphere too but service did not match the food and atmosphere.However I would return ...... another chance is only fair

Had the best bottomless brunch! Charlotte served us and provided great service, very prompt with drinks and catered to all our needs. All of the team were really friendly and creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Some great food and cocktails and some good times. Few small things could have been better but the at table steak tartare was a highlight well done to the waitress for handling the 2 different needs of the guests :-)

The food was not worth the £50 per person. If I knew it would cost that much for such food i would have gone in. Would not go there again. Furthermore, the service charge was automatically added without asking

We often walk past and thought we'd give it a go. The pizzas were brilliant, the best we've had in a while. The drink selection is great too, loads of good cocktails and wines. Starter - pate needed another slice of bread, scallops were cooked well but had no flavour. Dessert was the dough petals which lacked biscoff and was undercooked slightly. Service was happy and friendly but very slow. There was at least 1 large party going on but it felt like the rest were neglected a bit. Otherwise lovely place and booked again for a trip north

We came to Gusto for the first time last night. Great service from our waitress but perhaps a couple of things we were disappointed with. My pizza and my husbands pasta dish could have been warmer. Our waitress (lovely as she was) brought the tiramisu in its serving dish to dish it up at the table ! Lastly, 12.5% service service charge to be automatically added on to the bill, perhaps a tad too much. All in all, at £142.59 would we come again? Maybe not.

We visited on a busy Saturday night, went for the theatre deal which was okay but very limited, the food was just okay. Service was unfortunately really slow and we had to wait a long time for mains - it took until the second course for the first drink to come out, and we had to ask a few times for service. Wouldn’t go again.

Came in for meal with my wife. The food was fantastic and arrived very fast and our server Evie was brilliant. She made sure we always had everything we needed, and was so cheerful that it was contagious! Shes a brilliant asset to your team. We will definitely be coming again.

I traveled to almost all continents , from north and south America to Russia, from the worst and (Disrespectful) , I visited the most funniest restaurants in London ,It was a quick visit i thought I will have a good memories in Nottingham my day was more then perfect until…this is my first impression on this app . in my entire life I’ve never seen or had these bad and disrespectful service never, the food was good but every 5 minutes they send a employee to say to us F we are finished or not , they even send them when we start eating 😂 , they did other horrible things , point is F ur non European or let’s just say if ur (color) just run this is not the right place .

Decent food but insanely overpriced do not recommend at all

Started with ordering the fresh juice. The juice was not fresh and the staff member stated this was out of a carton. The fish on the menu tasted so fishy as to be inedible. The chicken was so dry as to be inedible. The pizza was substandard. Should have gone to pizza express. Apparently all the food is prepared off site and delivered. We paid before we complained. The manager did not have anything to profer about the full plates going back to the kitchen. No recourse. We spent £170 for lunch. Please spend your money somewhere else.

Gracie helped my friend with menu recommendations and was extremely attentive. Thank you for a wonderful night you are a credit to the restaurant. She should be a manger. Really really poor, probably the worst experience I've had in a restaurant. Firstly we had been seated for 30 minutes without anyone asking what drinks we would like. In the end I gave up and asked to order drinks, which then took another 15 minutes to arrive. So 45 minutes after our booking and arrival time, we have only just received drinks. Food did arrive quickly, to be fair, but only 2 of the 11 of us actually enjoyed our meal. The meat tasted like it had been cooked from frozen with barely any flavour and mushy textures. During our meals we all had empty glasses as no one had come over to take a drink order.... again. Given the prices of the food we were all left really disappointed and certainly would not be going back.

Dreadful experience. Today was the 2nd time I've visited on a Sunday, on both occasions they have had many dishes unavailable - I can't believe I've chosen the two days where they are stocking incorrectly. Blimey they had even run out of carrots, and there's a local supermarket next door! When the food order was eventually taken, it was delivered with items missing, A medium-rare steak was served well done. inconsistencies in quantity. Add to that the drink service was poor, a 1/3 of the drinks did not arrive until we queried them some 20 minutes later. The bill arrived and this was wrong (didn't take account of the 3 courses for an amount used for part of the menu).

Terrible and expensive food, I don't recommend. We ordered portions of pasta, both were horrible, my husband ordered a pizza and he didn't like it either.

Me and my sister came for bottomless brunch a few weeks back, really attentive, lovely staff. Food was gorgeous and they had a nice selection of drinks too! Will definitely be returning. :)

Probably the worst place i’ve ever had food. I ordered pasta and my partner had a pizza the flavour wasn’t there and texture was not nice. We ordered a side of fries with cheese they charged £2.95 for small portion of plastic cheese even tho the waiter before said he’d grate it on for free since they did not have our original we ordered. But he later disappeared. The food was very overpriced for what we got it cost £45 for 2 meals and side. I say it’s over priced because the taste of the food was not worth it. Chips taste like they from kebab shop too. The meal was suppose to come to £36 but with all there service fee and extra cheese charge it bumped it up. Service fee wasn’t even optional and the service we received wasn’t any type of special treatment, they did there job that they are paid to do hourly.

An exquisite and sublime environment with meals so delicious and service rendered with utmost class that you will want to come back again.

Fabulous service, nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully decorated restaurant. Felt underwhelmed though with the food, carbonara and ragu dishes were bland. £3.75 (not optional) service charge pp. as we were a group. So for us, 2 adults and a 12yr old was a steep £11.25.

Service was really quick and staff were all lovely. The food was very nice, we had a pizza and lemon chicken. Probably a little overpriced as meal was unexpectedly expensive but overall a very pleasant meal.

The mains were great, can’t fault them at all but the puddings and service let the meal down massively. We ordered the crème brûlées, which arrived with a sprinkling of brown sugar on top. When we spoke to the waitress and told her that sugar should be caramelised by a blow torch or grill, she told us that the chef was too busy to do this. When you spend nearly £9 on each pudding you expect them to be done correctly. The waitress was extremely slow, and then we were charged £22 in service charge added automatically to the bill.

It was our first time visiting Gusto yesterday and we really enjoyed it! Our server Claudia at the Nottingham branch gave some of the best customer I’ve ever had at a restaurant! We asked for some menu suggestions and she talked us through so many options, you could tell she knew the menu back to front and gave us some great recommendations. My partner is vegetarian and they had a good range for him to choose from, Claudia also tailored her menu recommendations to this which was appreciated. Our favourite things we tried were actually the bruschetta (though my only comment on this is it was so good I wish it was a bigger portion so there was more of it to enjoy!) and the sun dried tomato & mozzarella girasole. I did really want to order the scallop & prawn ravioli which proved so popular it was out of stock but Claudia made great recommendations for alternatives. The cocktails were a lot stronger than what we were expecting so you definitely get your money’s worth on that front. The tiramisu is not to be missed too! In terms of atmosphere, we really liked the decor of the restaurant itself and they were playing good music which even though it was a Friday night, they didn’t turn it up so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation like some places do. The booking process was easy and we only booked our table half an hour before we showed up. In terms value for money for food, if you minus off our cocktails it would have been around £45 each for 3 courses which is a decent price. Overall a great experience. We will definitely visit again!

Loved the food, although the calamari was a little overcooked.

I went with my work for a pizza making class and it was so fun! The staff were all really informative, approachable and kind. We got to eat the pizza we made afterwards which was lovely. I wasn't a big fan of their orange mocktail but that could definitely be down to preference. I would definitely recommend coming here if your looking to book something for your work team for a fun team building exercise.

Brilliant place to eat on a Monday night

Really poor place to eat. Steak was cold and poor quality of meat. Scallop pasta was cold. Portion sizes are very small. Service not good, long waits and having to chase desserts and Bill. Seriously, place looks great but is terrible. Waitress not interested in feedback.

Another fantastic visit to Gusto! Always top notch service, staff are perfectly attentive, and the food was delicious as ever!

While the steak tartare looked the part it was pretty tasteless, however, the crab linguine made up for it! We got a bottle of Merlot and considering it was nearly 40 pounds, that too was pretty average. Our server Gracie was lovely and made sure we were enjoying our evening, the restaurant is well decorated with a great atmosphere.

Noisy, overcrowded, overpriced. Food was okay but not great and only a shadow of what you'd expect in a proper Italian restaurant. Portions small, very little for non-meat eaters. Caesar salad was just a joke, beyond that no decent salads on offer. Not at all classy - customers as well as waiters had to bellow at the tops of their voices to be heard over the din. This is more like a cattle market than a restaurant. Misery from start to finish, only to be presented with a bill which had 12.5% "discretionary service charge" added on because of the "great experience"!

Gracie was an excellent server and absolutely out done herself. Although the restaurant was busy she was very attentive and always made sure we had what we needed. The food was lovely although could be slightly better but overall was a lovey experience for my sisters graduation meal.

The best brunch we’ve been to, and we’ve tried the majority! The service was immense, our drinks were literally never empty despite a crazy busy restaurant full of graduates - and the food the most delicious! Literally 10/10, we couldn’t recommend them more highly!

Food was so yummy, we had truffle fettuccini and crab fettuccini and steak and rigatoni, bruschetta, pate burratta brownie and cheesecake. All of it was so so yummy, and service was super fast 👍👍👍

I first attended the restaurant when it opened. The vibe was nice, the customer service was great and the food was lovely. It has gone downhill since then. We went again a few nights ago. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and clean. However, the food was very bland. The customer service wasn’t great either, as I was told conflicting information beforehand. For what we paid we just expected better. It seems they still operate on this covid 2hr rule so the manager wanted to rush us out as soon as that time was up. He said that he needed the table. However there was about 4 other tables free that were the same size. It really just put us off going again.

This place leaves little to be wanted with outstanding food, drink and consistently kind service. I was served by a lady called Gracie on my graduation date and she was warm and welcoming from the get go. I fully recommend this place especially on a special occasion!

The atmosphere is really the only good thing about this place. The food is average at best and the portions are not filling. The service however is really the biggest downfall of this place. The dishes came out at very random times with one of the appetisers coming out after the main. This would have been alright however the waitress never showed up and left us waiting for ages whenever we wanted to order or pay for the bill. After getting the bill there’s an added 12% service charge which I asked to be removed, the waitress then snapped back at me making witty comments. Definitely not returning back especially with their prices. Save your time and money and head to a better Italian.

Yeah I’m not too sure on this one. The food was really nice and we loved the servers we got, they were so friendly. But for the price we ended up paying for 2 drinks, a starter and main it was nearly £70 and the food portion sizes are pretty small. I was still pretty hungry afterwards. The food was great and all but I wasn’t exactly blown away by it which was a shame. This was also in the Nottingham restaurant week, it tasted good but that price is kinda steep for what you get in my opinion Only just 4 stars, would rate it 3 but that’s just mean

The food was good, I had seared pan sea bass, the potato gelatin was really nice. The focaccia was tasty and came in a big portion. The staff were super friendly and fast. The price is pretty reasonable. We enjoyed the food and are happy to go back.

I went to this restaurant today to have a carbonara with my girlfriend we just finished work so we didn't have elegant clothes if i can say that. We got there the waiter said that i should come in 15 20 minutes so we booked a table and we went back. We got to carbonara i did not like it it had no sauce and the plate wasn't really full as i seen it at other people the service was really poor one of the weiter was keep looking at us in disrespect i dont understand why.. They did not treat us how they should we felt like that weither was being racist because when we finished the food i seen him telling another weither to give us The resite quickly im very disappointed

I visited this place yesterday nd i was really disappointed by the staff and service, i kept waiting for 15min no one came on table to take orders or had a courtesy to ask for a glass of water , Food was not bad , They served Pasta nd we had to wait for next 5min for garlic bread . Definitely was not happy with service at all
