Gusto Italian in Nottingham

Service was slow. Our mains came before we had finished our starters. My main was returned as it was cold. Once I got my meal it was very salty. Not the same experience when we have dined here before. Won't be going back.

The decour is nice and the service was fine. But the food was cold and pretty tasteless. How can you serve cold food? That's pretty basic. We wouldn't return.

Lovely waitress and good service, but not the best Italian food. Ordered a Hugo spritz and tasted just like fizzy cucumber, no elderflower quite disappointing for £10.50 The carbonara was quite dry and had a strange aftertaste, have made better cooking myself at home However the carnivore pizza was lovely!

Came for tonight my brothers 40th. Was served by Andreea, she wouldn’t do enough for us. So beautiful and smily and very attentive. Couldn’t wish for a better server. Thank you so much x

We had a wonderful evening at Gusto Italian in Nottingham, made even better by the exceptional service from our server, Evie. From start to finish, the experience was delightful, and every dish exceeded our expectations. To start, we shared the hummus and dough petals with slow-cooked beef, which was an absolute treat. The hummus was creamy and well-seasoned, pairing perfectly with the soft, flavorful dough petals and the tender, rich beef topping. For mains, I had the Carnivoro sourdough pizza, which was generously topped with a variety of meats and had the perfect balance of crispy edges and a chewy center. My girlfriend opted for the crab fettuccine, which was a standout dish—delicate, fresh crab in a creamy, flavorful sauce that clung beautifully to the al dente pasta. Finally, we couldn’t resist sharing the warm chocolate brownie for dessert. It was served with a scoop of ice cream, and the contrast between the gooey, rich brownie and the cold ice cream was divine. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy yet sophisticated, and Evie made us feel so welcome with her warm, attentive service. She had great recommendations and ensured everything was perfect throughout the evening. We’ll definitely be returning to Gusto Italian—it’s a gem in Nottingham!

I had a very nice lunch with my grandchildren at Gusto in Nottingham. The creamed mushroom starter was particularly good.

We did a festive pizza experience for our friends 30th. We had such a wonderful time and our server Naf took excellent care of us and added so many wonderful touches which just made the experience so much more special! Food was good. Due to how busy it was service was a bit delayed. When a discount was scanned it did not go through on the bill, which is unfortunate considering the prices. Only realised when I got home. Make sure to double check your bill because customer service ignores your email.

Loved this atmosphere in the place, staff were on ground and welcoming straightaway. Overall service was great. Enjoyed the drinks. My husband and I both had pasta meals. I don't know if food were made fresh but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. I would definitely visit again and try a different item on the menu.

Went to gusto for a bottomless brunch. You get 90 minutes on the brunch, in that time we only managed to get 4 cocktails due to the slow service(bare in mind it was a week day and not a busy Saturday) We also had a member of our group with several allergies which meant she could not eat any of the food from the brunch menu or drink any of the drinks, we were told she had to order from the brunch menu if she wanted to sit with us. They said she could have the gluten free alternatives of the food but they could not substitute the drinks. We checked the website and the brunch menu and nowhere did it say the whole party had to order from the brunch menu. They tried to make her pay £37 to not be able to eat or drink anything. In the end she sat on a separate table and they allowed her to order from the main menu

We came yesterday for a bottomless brunch, we like to try different ones. By far this was the worst, not for food, this was good but little choice, but the drinks and time. Most places give you 2 hours, this is only 1.5 hours. The drinks are not proper cocktails and are all filled up with soda water or prosecco. We had to wait 15 mins for the first drinks and then one of them was forgotten. 15 minutes before the end of service we were told that would be the last order of drinks allowed, all other places ask you at the cut off point if you want to place a last order. Then when the bill came there was a non optional £38 service charge, well wow. We will not return to this one and will not recommend.

Delicious Italian Food - great ambiance - the service was great - we would be regulars if we didn't live across the pond! The staff was great - our pastas were all flavorful, nice and hot and delicious! We would definitely recommend!

Average food that took a very long time to come out.

I’ve just had the most wonderful meal for my work Baby Shower - Evie was the perfect attentive host and we all absolutely loved her, she made the event so special. I had the king scallops to start which were spectacular and the scallop and prawn ravioli for main, which was fabulous. Followed up by the most amazing tirimisu served at the table by the lovely Evie! Thank you again for a fantastic lunch and I can’t wait to come back.

Evie was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly and genuinely made us feel welcome. She anticipated our needs and was always quick with service and recommendations. Her positive energy and attention to detail elevated our dining experience. It’s rare to find such a dedicated and personable waitress—Evie made our visit memorable. Highly recommend asking for her if you’re in!

The restaurant wasn’t busy, which made it especially puzzling that our table was consistently overlooked by the waitress. We had to request water several times, and although we ordered starters, they never arrived. While the food that did come was well-prepared and enjoyable, it didn’t compensate for the inattentive service, especially given the restaurant’s higher price point. When going to a restaurant the quality of service can really make or break the night and unfortunately we were sorely disappointed with our experience.

He reservado una mesa para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi hijo. Fácil de reservar en línea y al unirse al club Gusto obtuvo un vale inmediato de £ 10 de descuento en mi comida. Teníamos una gran mesa escondida cerca de la ventana con nadie adyacente a cada lado. El menú de bebidas era bueno con una gran selección de cócteles. Para empezar teníamos champiñones al ajo y la focaccia con vinagre balsámico y aceite. Estos eran un buen tamaño de porción y muy sabroso. Para principal teníamos lasaña, gusto hamburguesa, ragu de ternera con espaguetis y la vieira y raviolis de langostinos. Todo servido puntualmente y de un buen tamaño. Para terminar tuvimos sorbete y pistacho crème brûlée. El camarero dijo que había sacado los postres de la cuenta, ya que dijo que la cocina estaba ocupada y sintió que habíamos esperado un tiempo. Este fue un gesto muy agradable y totalmente inesperado y sin demora, ya que sentimos que no habíamos esperado mucho, aunque pudimos ver que el restaurante estaba ocupado. Una gran comida , un gran servicio y una experiencia encantadora . Espero volver a visitar pronto.

Literally had a wonderful experience here!! I celebrated my birthday with my best friend here and Andreea surprised us with 2 wonderful cakes! This was really lovely and we are truly happy to have celebrated our birthdays here. I wish to come back very soon!!! 🥹🌹

Fantastic afternoon with my dad and niece at Gusto Nottingham! Our server Evie was really friendly, attentive and accommodating. She did an amazing job! Thanks to the manager Gracie as well who was also really helpful! They were running the whole restaurant by themselves! We even got to meet the head chef Danny, who was amazing and did an excellent job with the food! It was great to see a restaurant so thriving and busy with staff who clearly love their jobs and work extremely hard! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an amazing meal with outstanding service!

Was a little disappointed overall this time at Gusto Nottingham, there was no draught beer at all, fundamental, also had run out of Montepulciano, not great for Italian. The main courses were quite tasty but not hot and served in a cold dish. There didn't seem to be many serving staff so things ran a bit slow, our mains were plonked in front of us and servers disappeared pronto, would have liked to have had some parmesan grated on mine, but was neither asked if there was anything else we needed or had the opportunity to ask ask the waiting staff were rushing around. The dough petals were not cooked through and subsequently a bit chewy with raw garlic that made them a bit unpleasant. At no point did anyone ask if everything was alright with our food, as we would have mentioned this at the time. We paid our bill and left the restaurant, was going to bring my concerns to the staff on leaving but no-one was around, such a shame because my previous visit was really good.

Our first visit so perhaps we were just unlucky . Our food arrived before our drinks which I reminded staff about twice The food was lovely but they got the bill wrong charging us for a drink we never had! So : food was great , atmosphere too but service did not match the food and atmosphere.However I would return ...... another chance is only fair

Had the best bottomless brunch! Charlotte served us and provided great service, very prompt with drinks and catered to all our needs. All of the team were really friendly and creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Some great food and cocktails and some good times. Few small things could have been better but the at table steak tartare was a highlight well done to the waitress for handling the 2 different needs of the guests :-)

We came to Gusto for the first time last night. Great service from our waitress but perhaps a couple of things we were disappointed with. My pizza and my husbands pasta dish could have been warmer. Our waitress (lovely as she was) brought the tiramisu in its serving dish to dish it up at the table ! Lastly, 12.5% service service charge to be automatically added on to the bill, perhaps a tad too much. All in all, at £142.59 would we come again? Maybe not.

We often walk past and thought we'd give it a go. The pizzas were brilliant, the best we've had in a while. The drink selection is great too, loads of good cocktails and wines. Starter - pate needed another slice of bread, scallops were cooked well but had no flavour. Dessert was the dough petals which lacked biscoff and was undercooked slightly. Service was happy and friendly but very slow. There was at least 1 large party going on but it felt like the rest were neglected a bit. Otherwise lovely place and booked again for a trip north

We visited on a busy Saturday night, went for the theatre deal which was okay but very limited, the food was just okay. Service was unfortunately really slow and we had to wait a long time for mains - it took until the second course for the first drink to come out, and we had to ask a few times for service. Wouldn’t go again.

Fantastic brunch out with colleagues. Evie was fabulous. Really looked after us all and was super attentive. We’ve had a brilliant afternoon.

I traveled to almost all continents , from north and south America to Russia, from the worst and (Disrespectful) , I visited the most funniest restaurants in London ,It was a quick visit i thought I will have a good memories in Nottingham my day was more then perfect until…this is my first impression on this app . in my entire life I’ve never seen or had these bad and disrespectful service never, the food was good but every 5 minutes they send a employee to say to us F we are finished or not , they even send them when we start eating 😂 , they did other horrible things , point is F ur non European or let’s just say if ur (color) just run this is not the right place .

Decent food but insanely overpriced do not recommend at all

Started with ordering the fresh juice. The juice was not fresh and the staff member stated this was out of a carton. The fish on the menu tasted so fishy as to be inedible. The chicken was so dry as to be inedible. The pizza was substandard. Should have gone to pizza express. Apparently all the food is prepared off site and delivered. We paid before we complained. The manager did not have anything to profer about the full plates going back to the kitchen. No recourse. We spent £170 for lunch. Please spend your money somewhere else.

Dreadful experience. Today was the 2nd time I've visited on a Sunday, on both occasions they have had many dishes unavailable - I can't believe I've chosen the two days where they are stocking incorrectly. Blimey they had even run out of carrots, and there's a local supermarket next door! When the food order was eventually taken, it was delivered with items missing, A medium-rare steak was served well done. inconsistencies in quantity. Add to that the drink service was poor, a 1/3 of the drinks did not arrive until we queried them some 20 minutes later. The bill arrived and this was wrong (didn't take account of the 3 courses for an amount used for part of the menu).

Terrible and expensive food, I don't recommend. We ordered portions of pasta, both were horrible, my husband ordered a pizza and he didn't like it either.

Really really poor, probably the worst experience I've had in a restaurant. Firstly we had been seated for 30 minutes without anyone asking what drinks we would like. In the end I gave up and asked to order drinks, which then took another 15 minutes to arrive. So 45 minutes after our booking and arrival time, we have only just received drinks. Food did arrive quickly, to be fair, but only 2 of the 11 of us actually enjoyed our meal. The meat tasted like it had been cooked from frozen with barely any flavour and mushy textures. During our meals we all had empty glasses as no one had come over to take a drink order.... again. Given the prices of the food we were all left really disappointed and certainly would not be going back.

Me and my sister came for bottomless brunch a few weeks back, really attentive, lovely staff. Food was gorgeous and they had a nice selection of drinks too! Will definitely be returning. :)

Probably the worst place i’ve ever had food. I ordered pasta and my partner had a pizza the flavour wasn’t there and texture was not nice. We ordered a side of fries with cheese they charged £2.95 for small portion of plastic cheese even tho the waiter before said he’d grate it on for free since they did not have our original we ordered. But he later disappeared. The food was very overpriced for what we got it cost £45 for 2 meals and side. I say it’s over priced because the taste of the food was not worth it. Chips taste like they from kebab shop too. The meal was suppose to come to £36 but with all there service fee and extra cheese charge it bumped it up. Service fee wasn’t even optional and the service we received wasn’t any type of special treatment, they did there job that they are paid to do hourly.

An exquisite and sublime environment with meals so delicious and service rendered with utmost class that you will want to come back again.

Fabulous service, nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully decorated restaurant. Felt underwhelmed though with the food, carbonara and ragu dishes were bland. £3.75 (not optional) service charge pp. as we were a group. So for us, 2 adults and a 12yr old was a steep £11.25.

The mains were great, can’t fault them at all but the puddings and service let the meal down massively. We ordered the crème brûlées, which arrived with a sprinkling of brown sugar on top. When we spoke to the waitress and told her that sugar should be caramelised by a blow torch or grill, she told us that the chef was too busy to do this. When you spend nearly £9 on each pudding you expect them to be done correctly. The waitress was extremely slow, and then we were charged £22 in service charge added automatically to the bill.

Service was really quick and staff were all lovely. The food was very nice, we had a pizza and lemon chicken. Probably a little overpriced as meal was unexpectedly expensive but overall a very pleasant meal.

It was our first time visiting Gusto yesterday and we really enjoyed it! Our server Claudia at the Nottingham branch gave some of the best customer I’ve ever had at a restaurant! We asked for some menu suggestions and she talked us through so many options, you could tell she knew the menu back to front and gave us some great recommendations. My partner is vegetarian and they had a good range for him to choose from, Claudia also tailored her menu recommendations to this which was appreciated. Our favourite things we tried were actually the bruschetta (though my only comment on this is it was so good I wish it was a bigger portion so there was more of it to enjoy!) and the sun dried tomato & mozzarella girasole. I did really want to order the scallop & prawn ravioli which proved so popular it was out of stock but Claudia made great recommendations for alternatives. The cocktails were a lot stronger than what we were expecting so you definitely get your money’s worth on that front. The tiramisu is not to be missed too! In terms of atmosphere, we really liked the decor of the restaurant itself and they were playing good music which even though it was a Friday night, they didn’t turn it up so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation like some places do. The booking process was easy and we only booked our table half an hour before we showed up. In terms value for money for food, if you minus off our cocktails it would have been around £45 each for 3 courses which is a decent price. Overall a great experience. We will definitely visit again!

Loved the food, although the calamari was a little overcooked.

I went with my work for a pizza making class and it was so fun! The staff were all really informative, approachable and kind. We got to eat the pizza we made afterwards which was lovely. I wasn't a big fan of their orange mocktail but that could definitely be down to preference. I would definitely recommend coming here if your looking to book something for your work team for a fun team building exercise.
