Gurkha Restaurant in Maidstone

Had chicken chicken masala with pillar rice garlic numb for myself I have never tasted a nicer takeaway than I have here and I’ve eaten chicken tikka masala in several several places. Excellent food highly recommend.

Nice food and perhaps a little spicier than traditional Asian food. Probably an irregular visit here as it wasn’t cheap but it was good.

My friend and I have said for ages we wanted to try here as they do a special offer at lunchtime and also we had heard good things about it. They do a set lunch menu where you can choose a main dish and either a rice or naan for £8.99 each. There are a lot of choices, so there is something for everyone. You can have the main dishes with chicken, lamb, pork, vegetables, or paneer. If you want prawn, it's an extra £1. We had some extras, eg, poppadoms, sauce tray, and wine, so that put the price up, obviously. The food was delicious. We chose chicken pasanda, lamb makhani, pilau rice, and a garlic naan. We shared our dishes, and all of them were lovely. In hindsight, maybe we shouldn't have ordered 2 creamy dishes, but we'll know for next time. And there will be a next time 😋 Decor is lovely as well, and the service is really good. Attentive, professional, and friendly. I definitely recommend this place, and if you don’t have wine or the added extras, it's a bargain.

We got the food on deliveroo. It was literally horendous. All the food we ordered seems to be completely different to what it should be eg . coconut in butter chicken

First time trying Nepalese food and it was lovely. Lighter, fresher and more fragrant than an Indian curry so perfect for lunch. We had the lunch deal of any curry with rice or a naan and ordered an extra naan. Husband had chicken jalfrezi with mushroom rice and garlic naan. I had the cashew nut curry with chicken and coconut rice. Good sized portions and very tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we're not local to Maidstone or this would be our new favourite restaurant.

Brilliant food. This has to be one of the best restaurants in Maidstone. I was there for my birthday and we loved the fish tank with bubbles ❤️ The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had a spinach paneer with rice and my son had a korma, his dad had a very hot curry! . I can’t fault it snd I will def go back again. I often went past and the good offers tempted me in!

This spot is a local gem, I went with my mum for lunch and everything about the restaurant was wonderful. The food was amazing and came quickly. The staff were friendly and were easy to get along with and super helpful with anything we asked. The space was beautifully decorated and even the smaller details like the chocolates at the end or the cutlery were beautiful. Will definitely be coming back!!1

First time at this restaurant with friend's, didn't know what to expect having invited our friends. We should not have worried, it was better than we ever expected. Food, service, and ambience could not have been better. We done out quite a lot in the Maidstone area and we all agree that this Nepalese restaurant is one of the best 'dine out' venues in the town. Frightened to praise it too much because would like to get a table at our next visit 👍😊.

The food we tasted this evening was superb could not fault anything, even my 10 year old son said how much he enjoyed the selection of dishes. We (1 adult & 1 child) visited the Namaste on a Sunday lunchtime and we would highly recommend it. The taste, portion sizes and prices were both very good by comparison. The service was also friendly & attentive and we will definitely be returning.

Lovely food, extensive variety of Nepali dishes. Attentive and friendly staff. My husband and I went with another couple and they are vegetarians, so they had a number of vegetarian side dishes. We shared the lamb Khorsanae and chicken Shahi Tarkari. We had Momos for starter which were as good as the ones I had in Nepal. All so tasty. We'll go back soon.

Supreme made our experience exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and more. Very thorough with the menu and recommendations for each individual based on our own preferences. Food was cooked to perfection and was very flavoursome. We will definitely be back!

This is my absolute favourite in Maidstone, pretty much my go to for every date night. The food is full of flavour and never disappoints.
