They are very close to were we live We just cross over the road and your there Lovely place lovely staff and delicious food. We are lucky that they are near us. So if we wont a very good meal we havent got far to go. The meals are very.nice We love going there.

Food very poor and expensive for the amount you get.. Jalfrezi was bland and gravy was like water. Rice over cooked, nan was chewing and no flavour, poppadoms greasy and chutney tray wasn't to impressive.. Won't go there again

Gurkha Kitchen is offering some of the most authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine I've had in the region. The food is nice, with interesting flavors. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is truly unique and immersive. The dining area is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that feels like you're stepping into a Nepalese village. Every detail is thoughtfully chosen, and it's clear that a lot of love and care has gone into creating this special space. While the food is taste ok, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. The sunday buffet menu is extremely limited, and there's no dessert option included in the all-you-can-eat buffet. Additionally, you have to pay extra for naan bread. Finally, the buffet stations are quite close together, which can make it difficult to navigate and access all the options. Despite these minor drawbacks, Gurkha Kitchen is a fantastic dining experience that I highly recommend. The quality of the food and the unique atmosphere make it a standout restaurant in the area.

Came here for Sunday buffet. Wasn't disappointed at all serivce was fantastic. And the food hit the spot.. good amount to pick from as well. Highly recommend 👏

Asian kitchen is a personal preference but I regard excellent the combination of sweet and spicy. Also, the staff was absolutely ok with the toddlers we had with us. Recommended.

Have been wanting to try here for ages and finally went on Thursday 18th July. The food was amazing. My wife and I just ordered 5 of the appetisers to sample the food as this was my first venture into spicy cusine. We were not disappointed the food was of excellent quality with a very nice portion size, and the taste was just fantastic. Thank you Andeep, and the rest of the staff for looking after us. We will certainly be back to try more.

Bit of a hidden gem given its location, tucked amongst an industrial estate, with a car wash and car rental place out back… Yet the food is excellent, really quality Nepalese cuisine, and the service is super friendly and welcoming, complete with a real sense of personality in the place, adorned with personal and cultural knick-knacks. The Gurkha beer was good, it complimented the curries etc. and altogether, I’d recommend this place for some authentic Nepalese-north Indian cooking.

Thank you very much Gurkha Kitchen team. This was definitely one of the best experiences I had in few years. Gurkha chulo special was mind blowing. Other dish we had was Andeep Lamb special which was so good and so extra which I never had before. Straight 10 outta 10🤩🤩. Highly recommended.

Tasty food but quite expensive and fairly small portions - small naan bread and small rice portions in particular - the curry portion is reasonable for 1 person. Whilst the food is undeniably good - the prices at the Gurkha Kitchen have become a bit ridiculous unfortunately - it used to be a fairly cheap but tasty option and of course everyone knows the cost of living has gone up but nowadays a simple curry and a portion of plain rice are going to set you back almost £20 which quite frankly is too much for what you're getting truth be told. It's a shame as the staff are nice and attentive and they have done a decent job of converting a former pub into the restaurant - its not a particularly smart venue though although i personality quite like the quirky decor so the premium city centre prices they're now charging just feels incongruous with what you're actually getting and is probably one of the reasons it was fairly empty on a Saturday evening. Go for the Sunday buffet as that's still a decent deal - any other time you can just get food about as good at a better price in a nicer location to be honest.

So I’m assuming the overpriced food we all pay for goes towards listening to world war 3 for over 10 minutes on New Year’s Eve? Absolutely disgusting. I’m all for a good time but that is just beyond a joke. Get a grip and take people’s feelings and animals into consideration. Will not be coming to this place again

Byliśmy pierwszy raz w tej restauracji, obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Wytłumaczyła nam co gdzie jest i jak korzystać z menu. Jedzenie bardzo pyszne a w szczególności sosy, niebo w gębie. Jedzenie świeże a także nie drogie. Polecam serdecznie tą restaurację nie zawiedziecie się.

While on the way to journey home from Bradford, Mum really wanted to visit Gurkha Kitchen for a takeaway.. we went there. The team was so humble and friendly and the food was so good which was recommended by a staff. The Chef came to greet us which it made us speechless because he was so friendly. He really made you feel like you met one of your good friends after a long time after school graduation. We had such a wonderful experience. We will definitely visit again in the future. It is a must visit restaurant if you are passing by Nottingham whether you are travelling by car to Wales, Edinburgh or Birmingham with friends or family.

What a fantastic welcome & atmosphere. Absolutely stunning. The Owner is the head chef & a biker. His cooking skills are lovely the taste took me on the ride to Nepal. Absolutely loved it. Sekuwa & chilli king prawn starters were finger licking good. Lekali Chicken is my most fav dish now. I suggest you to go and try Andeep’s food. You won’t be disappointed.

Our go to place for take out curry. Sunday buffet for eat in is also great value. Andeep and the team work so hard to make sure you always get a warm welcome and the food is always great.

Lovely food in lovely restaurant. Our waitress was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. A mix of Nepalese and the typical Indian food, I tried something Nepalese and loved it. I asked for it to be hot and it was a good heat. Owners are obviously motorbike and adventre fanatics as the decor houses lovely photos of their bike adventures over worldwide locations. Spoke with the chef and he was warm, welcoming and friendly. Delightful experience and highly recommended

Unexpectly beautiful place. We came to The Gurka Lounge for my dad's 60th birthday celbatations and had the best time. The food was amazing and fresh and use of ingredients and spices, I've not encounted before at other similar restaurants. We were well looked after by the watress' and even got the pleasure of meeting the chef. Can't wait to come back again. Thank you again for a wonderful evening, you guys made it very special.

Nice ambience. Nice food. We went for the Sunday buffet. Would definitely love to try the daily menu too. The naan was really yummy. My 2 year old liked it a lot. Different chicken dishes served in Indian restaurants usually tend to taste the same. Here there were 4 chicken dishes and all tasted different and good. I was wondering why I didn't hear about this place till now. Also, there is a lot of car parking space in that compound. I think this is a must try for people in Nottingham.

I have visited with family today at Gurkha kitchen for dinner after long travel from Peak District. This is my probably third time . Never thought to write something about this place but today I should say few words about this awesome place . 1. Atmosphere around dinning area makes us happy that I can’t see like any other restaurant. Feels like I am some where in Nepal . Every time visit this restaurant I keep looking every corner and pics . They have put their heart in it . It makes me feels like I am in home . I am writing few words not only because of me . My mom dad and my wife they also amaze that they could find like this place very rarely. Let’s talk about food ,we have had chicken ,Lamb ,daal rice Naan and roti basic food normally we eat home but we have find that food has been made full of heart as home made does . I recommend this place for amazing food and classic atmosphere.

Havent been for a while and I do enjoy the food here. Sunday is buffet night and the dishes were very good. no lacking of meat (not all sauce like some places). dishes are regularly topped up.

Went with friends recently and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and, whilst many buffets perhaps offer a wider variety of dishes, everything Gurkha Kitchen offered was executed to a high standard. For that reason, there's no need for more choice! The price is extremely reasonable for all you can have. Will definitely return!

The food is always first class in my opinion and I’ve never had a bad meal. Friendly family atmosphere and great service. Great value for money and will be going many times in the future! We booked a table, arrived then was seated but nobody came to take our order. We waited for 30mins, When we asked at the bar what we needed to do the staff answered the phone mid conversation so we left.
