Food was amazing, staff very warm & friendly, please make sure you try the ploughman’s, my absolute favourite along with the cod & chips, will definitely be back xxx

We had a great early Dinner, and the Lunch Menu runs until at least 6pm. This was perfect for us, as lighter food was actually what suited us. We had a great, well presented Ploughman’s, which was very generous. We also had a couple of differing wraps. Again, delicious, well filled, good presentation, served with side salad and fries. Tasty coffee too. Lovely large carpark and plenty of outside seating, for sunny days.

The staff were very slow at the bar, did not receive a friendly greeting, then we waited ages for our food order to be taken, The Manager apologised, i heard one of the waitresses slating the manager outside to other staff, which is not professional, the food was ok

Poor food, inedible, customer service was however very good. Lady removed one meal from the bill even though both had 2 only had mouthfuls off the plate. The bar staff were lovely very attentive. May have been a bad day.

Lunch on a sunny day. £30 for a ploughman’s and loaded chips with overcooked steak on. Ploughman’s was more like a plate your nan had knocked up. The loaded chips were far from loaded. Asked for rare steak but got well done. Grass outside was a jungle, the odd window smashed. Gents toilets are in desperate need of some maintenance. Urinals Leaking over the floor. This could be a great place but needs plenty of TLC and the lunch menu prices are too expensive.

On a cold and windy April evening we were looking for somewhere to dine in the Tewkesbury locale when we stumbled upon the large carpark of Guphill hall We ventured in an we’re amazed by…….. Excellent staff excellent customer care would definitely recommend & the kitchen was on its game 3 cheers to the waitrons and chef We will be back if we are back !!!!!

All good, staff helpful and attentive but not overbearing. Food value for money and a nice space was found for 30 plus people that we booked. Ladies loos reported to be a bit below average. Gents was fine BTW!

Went for our anniversary, hadn’t been before, precooked, always liked the look of the place when we drove past. On arriving, went to table, hubby had to go up and ask for drinks, staff chatting to each other behind the bar. The starter of bread and olives was served with no side plates, oil dripping on clothes. Steak was amazing, but chips dry. When main arrived, the member of staff walked away without asking if any sauces were required, had to call them back to ask for mustard etc.

Great Sunday lunch - beer good, and also dog friendly. Service efficient and the food was excellent. I tried the beef, pork and chicken platter - hot and tasty

Booked a special dinner here with family, had Sunday dinner but one dish of vegetables between 4 people wasn't enough but we could buy more ! Also closed at 6pm didn't realise pubs closed that early, we were a big group so was disappointed

Went to lunch on New Year's Eve. Staff very friendly. Had salmon with new potatoes, the potatoes were black around the edges, one small bowl of vegetables for the two of us. Very disappointed with the meal, it used to be very good food, want be going there again

Lovely building and staff nice,but the food which was pre orded was terribly.had eaten here two years ago and it had been good.don't go is my advice .they are using the cheapest of ingredients ,even roast potatoes were leftovers and heated up.we had bottle of White wine served warm.staff did ask if everything was ok with the meal but didn't want to hear any comments. We have driven past Gupshill Manor several times but decided today to pop in for lunch. Big mistake! The staff were obliging and pleasant, but the food was awful. My husband ordered steak which was on the tough side, I ordered battered fish and chips with peas. Although presented nicely, the peas were not cooked, the chips were luke warm and the fish was horrible. The batter was not cooked …. very wet inside, and the fish was grey. Would definitely not recommend and will not be returning.

The food here was good (roast dinner) and dessert (brownie) but fairly pricey for a pub. It’s let down by it being cold inside/slightly aged decor (red leather chairs or wicker chairs) and a need for some tlc on the outside. Staff were friendly but for the cost- needs a little something more.

We called in for a late Sunday lunch as the pub looked lovely from the outside. The inside is nice and old worldly looking. We both ordered the beef. The meat, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding came out quite quickly and the waitress said she’d bring the vegetables. After a bit of a wait we started to get concerned that the meat would be getting cold. A lady laying up nearby tables noticed us waiting and went to get the vegetables and extra gravy for us. The meat and potatoes by this time had got a bit cold. The beef was tough and the ‘roast’ potatoes were barely roasted and not properly cooked in the middle. The veg and gravy were the best part of the meal, the baby carrots were especially nice. I would not eat here again which is such a shame as the ambiance of the pub was lovely

Waiters were pleasant enough but the food was very mediocre. 4 shop bought battered prawns with a mayonaise dip for £7.45 is a complete joke! Tastless ans oily too! The beef in our burgers was ok but the rest was inedible. Chips were cold and tasted like they had been sitting there for quite a while. We were never offered for our drinks to be topped up and the most outrageous for me is the empty plates being taken whilst other people at the table are still eating! The last person felt rushed and ended up leaving food as everyone's plates had gone. It's rude! Will not return nor recommend to anyone.

We had a very pleasant Sunday lunch here. We both ordered the roast pork which came with tasty gravy, stuffing, yorkshire pud and veg. The portion size was good and it was all very tasty. Desserts were really good. Service was prompt and friendly. Our only slight complaint was that the accesible toilet was not properly sign posted.

Sunday Lunch started off poorly when we arrived to be told they had no record of our booking. We were looking forward to the carvery, and despite being asked how we liked the beef cooked, it arrived all looking exactly the same (grey) with uniform slices. The ‘roast’ potatoes were like cardboard, and Yorkshire puddings were old, and tasteless. The chef (if one exists) obviously doesn’t taste his own food, or needs to look for a new career. I’m sure the microwave gets a lot of use here. Young members of staff look miserable with no people skills, and never smile. I offered my feedback to the person in charge at the end of the meal (no one asked us how the food was during the meal), and a discount was offered. Won’t be returning.

Lovely evening spent for a 60th birthday. Special shout out to Terry who worked really hard ensuring we had everything we needed and all meals arrived as ordered for our large party. Lovely building and nice garden… worth a visit.

What an awful experience!! I was looking forward to a lovely Sunday lunch with some friends. The whole place really has gone downhill. Only 1 staff member above the age of 18 (or so it seemed) and those who were under are clearly trained poorly and are rude! Food was really below average and prices way to high for what you get. Potatoes are tasteless and definitely not roasted. Customer service at the bar was non existent and the main thing that really looked unprofessional was the girl (general manager maybe? Staff seemed to be going to her a lot) wearing JUST a “long” T-shirt to work. Clearly no shorts underneath and looks like a nightdress. Absolute mess. Definitely will not be returning! Up your game!!

Called in for Sunday lunch,that was our first mistake.Was greeted by a bartender who said oh you haven’t booked and it’s Sunday,then said um well where do you want to sit, I said inside or outside was fine which seemed to confuse him even more,he said I have one table inside (the whole place was empty) ,we were shown to a table and left to order,our second mistake was bothering to order,it took the” waitress “ ages to come and take our order,our food was mediocre at best. I am sorry but it is overpriced and has absolutely no atmosphere

Very disappointing. 2 x fish pies contained identical cubes of an unrecognisable, tasteless fish with an odd texture, swimming a thin white sauce. We were seated where initially there were no other diners & the whole thing just felt inhospitable.

From the moment walked into the place the staff were friendly, attentive, professional and efficient. Struggling with dogs in tow to settle in our seat the staff offered to get drinks and bring to the table which was a real help and appreciated. The food was delicious, huge portions and delivered quickly.... couldn't find any fault with food or again service....well above average and beyond expectations. Nothing throughout the evening was too much trouble and often the thoughtfulness of the staff made the customer service here excel above even the poshest restaurants or hotels I've visited in the past. I really can't commend them enough from the bar to the kitchen it was excellence and a real pleasure to spend the evening here. Only fault I could find was... I live too far away (3hrs) so can't have it as my local!!! But if you're in Tewkesbury, passing Tewkesbury or within reach of Tewkesbury in an hour....then put Gupshill Manor....in your sat nav favourites! Had a really nice lunch here with my wife. We didn't have a booking and even though they were quite busy managed to fit us in. Menu was typical pub grub. Food was nice quality and very well presented. Service was excellent. Covid 19 protocols for hand sanitising and social distancing etc were very good and felt safe. Amazing value for money. Reservamos este restaurante para la comida del 80 cumpleaños de mi madre. Habiendo comido aquí antes, sabíamos lo increíble que era la comida y el servicio, pero realmente se superaron a sí mismos para el cumpleaños de las mamás. Al ser libre de gluten, siempre lucho por elegir, pero hay muchas opciones sin gluten en Gupshill. Para las mamás 80 nos dejaron decorar la mesa y traer nuestro propio pastel. El servicio fue excelente. Nos atendió una dama encantadora con cabello oscuro y un flequillo que era sobresaliente y una dama más joven con el cabello en una cola de caballo (ojalá tuviera sus nombres) que era encantadora. Ambos nos hicieron sentir realmente especiales e hicieron que el día de las mamás fuera lo mejor posible. Estoy muy agradecido en estos tiempos difíciles. Muchas gracias por hacer que el cumpleaños de mamá sea tan especial. Gupshill Manor estén orgullosos de ustedes mismos, están haciendo un trabajo increíble. X

Fui a comer de vacaciones con mi madre. Mesas bien distanciadas, el personal llevaba máscaras. Compartimos panes rústicos para empezar, realmente agradable. Ambos tenían platos principales de carne. ¡La salsa de bistec y ajo era genial! Las patatas fritas estaban bien, no caseras. Buen valor para el dinero. Buena ubicación, amplio aparcamiento.

La comida era absolutamente deliciosa pero el servicio era bastante pobre. Esperamos mucho tiempo a que se tomara el pedido. Hubiéramos tenido una segunda ronda de bebidas, pero nunca se acercaron. Luego tuvimos que ir al bar por el menú de dulces y volver a ordenar. Tenemos entendido que las reglas de Covid requieren que permanezca en sus asientos y espere el servicio de mesa. Nos encanta el Gupshill, pero el servicio fue bastante pobre. ?

Lunes festivo de agosto y último día de Eat Out to Help Out; Reservamos para almorzar y reunirnos con nuestro hijo que vive en Tewkesbury. Directamente con el plato principal y mi bistec con patatas fritas era encantador; cocido medio raro a la perfección con un muy buen sabor a la parrilla, el mejor bistec cocido que he probado en mucho tiempo. Las patatas fritas de pub y los acompañamientos de rúcula y parmesano también eran deliciosos. Mi marido y mi hijo tenían las hamburguesas que de nuevo fueron una delicia. El postre Roulade de merengue de limón era fuerte pero cremoso, gofres belgas y bizcocho y natillas también deliciosos. Excelente servicio en tiempos difíciles. Tenemos la intención de volver sin duda alguna.

We very much enjoyed our lunch here. Our daughter has a nut allergy. The staff could not have been more helpful and accomodating. Our mind was put at ease and we really enjoyed our food and eating out experience. We will defintely be returning. Many thanks.

After 4 months of pubs and restaurants being closed, we thought we’d venture out to the Gupshill. To hold a pint of beer was so nice. We ordered the hunters chicken, which was just amazing, very tasty and filling. The mozzarella salad was also ordered and again, did not disappoint. Staff were very friendly.Will be going again tomorrow, without hesitation.

We loved it here....we were greeted with a warm welcome from the lad behind the bar, we especially liked his humour. We hadn’t booked and although there were a family of 7 the waitress didn’t hesitate to set up a table for us, we felt that we were in a lovely pub straight away. The service was great throughout, the food was really very good & hot and we thought it was reasonably priced too. We loved the old look Pub with the updated decor it’s very tastefully done. We will definitely be returning.

We had originally booked a table at the Farmers Arms in Apperley but, on arriving, we found it to be more like a creche than a restaurant, so we went instead to Gupshill Manor. We were so pleased we did! The staff could not have been more welcoming, the food amazing and the service excellent. Will definitely return.
