Came here for lunch after a lovely time at the beach. Very poor menu choices, absolutely no vegetarian options which is a real oversight. Had the fish burger and it was very average and expensive for what it was. I asked for ketchup and the waitress said it would be an extra 40p, which for a pub seems unfair and a bit cheap on their part. Just offer bottles for the table. The Astro turf garden outside was tacky and sad, and overall I wouldn’t recommend this place. Sad because it’s prime location. It should offer a nice range of sandwiches at a better price point and it could be on to a winner.

Totally missing a trick ! Right on the beach such a shame it isn’t set up for all the passing trade . We called in at lunch time for a sandwich to be told we don’t have any bread and the menu for other food was very “ heavy” nothing lite for lunch time - only one menu pinned to a post for people to gather round . The staff seemed disinterested . We decided to leave .

Great location, unfortunately a lack of competition and alternatives nearby meant the standards were low. Drinks were fine, cream tea was not bad but hot food was seriously overpriced, poorly cooked and misleading. The foot long hot dog was a tinned hotdog hanging out of a 6 inch roll! Bacon on a burger was still fridge cold! Bar staff and food servers should have been embarrassed by what they are serving. Wish I'd taken a picnic and just enjoyed a drink here

We are coastal walkers. This is the only place we’ve ever been asked to pay for our water bottles to be refilled, under the premise that it goes to charity. One very rude dark haired, female member of staff. Food very average and ridiculously overpriced. Don’t go here it’s bloody awful !!!

Visited Holywell over several years and during this time the Gull Rocks has morphed from being a good pub(St Piran) into a bar/coffee house which now unfortunately closes at 6.00.That said however the staff are really friendly & the beer garden is a great spot to enjoy a Rattler cider. Didn't try the food but the drinks prices are fine, unlike the ridiculously overpriced Treguth pub up the road.

Ordered the burger and chips. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst. For the price, you'd have thought it would have come on a plate at least. Staff were ok, whilst I was eating I could overhear people ordering and being told that they didn't have a huge amount of the food on offer for which I did see one family leave. The put off was the price and I won't be visiting here again

Popped in for lunch, bleak cafe vibe interior (doesn’t match the prices!) not to mention it was absolutely freezing cold inside. Menu is very small/limited a vegetarian or vegan would struggle here! I had the lamb kofta flatbread. Flatbread was so chewy I only ate half, salad on-top was obviously from a pre chopped bag and the lamb was cheap tasting as it was more herbs than lamb. My friend had the fish brioche roll, it was cold inside and looked like a frozen square fish burger you get from the shop. Also why does it come on a card box? But the kofta had a plate? You have to pay for ketchup & mayonnaise which is a joke and you have to donate £1 to have your bottle refilled! (Water is a legal requirement so I don’t know how they get away with this) £11 for a jacket potato with beans and cheese is laughable! PS: they obviously use other people’s food photos online…false advertisement yikes!😬 as you can see from my comparison LOL Shame because the 2 staff members were very pleasant and attentive 👍🏻

Stopped here whilst walking the Coast Path during a downpour. We were wet and cold and needed some refreshment, so decided to order some food and hot drinks. At 12:30pm all that was left was one pasty and one sausage roll, so that’s what we had. I swiftly went on line to sell my left kidney in order to pay the bill, expecting the pasty to be made from the finest wagyu beef, and the sausage roll made from the rarest wild boar, I also assumed that the paper bag they were served in would be embossed with platinum foil and tied with gold braid, sadly none of the above were true, and we ate our fairly bog standard pasty and sausage roll in a damp garden. There were no toilets, and were told to use the public convenience up the hill. Cold, hungry, unfulfilled and this business didn’t help at all. I won’t be back.

Lovely visit today after a stroll to the beach in the wind. We were welcomed and shown to our table. Ordering was easy and pleasant. Choice of cakes were excellent. Cream tea with warm scones an absolute delight. All the family were pleased we’d popped in. Even though my son made a mess and I asked if I could clean it up myself the staff reassured me that this wasn’t necessary and they didn’t mind clearing up the water. Great place to go.

The staff were friendly and the food was good although there wasn't enough of it. I ordered spinach and ricotta ravioli with garlic bread which was £11 and there were only 8 of them barely covering the bottom of the bowl. I expected more for a pub lunch at £11 and I left there still feeling hungry. My husband had scampi and chips - also a small portion for £12. Definitely not value for money.
