Gulistan Tandoori in Sheffield

The worst Indian food I’ve ever had served to me. No less than disgusting - the whole lot went straight in the bin. This is not Indian food at all - it was a disgusting tub of mess full of past best food and below par cookery. Via Deliveroo, I ordered a Bhindi Biriyani together with Samosas and a puri with Chickpeas. What I actually got was nothing like what I was expecting and plainly did not meet the description. Anyone who thinks that the food from this establishment is nice, I guarantee is from a white Caucasian background and has very poor living standards in terms of food quality they consume and choice. I would not feed the sh it served to me to a homeless and starving dog. My only recommendation to you is to avoid this establishment at all costs.

We have been coming here for over 20 years and they recognise our voice and we don’t even have to order. Great service and lovley staff. Fast deliver. I love the chicken tikka vindaloo with potatoes and 2 green chillies and the wife has tikka purée (chat) lovley.

Just back from travels.....no curry for over 2 weeks.....rang Gulistan and picked up delicious dishes. Perfect return to Sheffield. Lovely individual flavours. Best in the area.

At a family occasion we input our postcode to just eat to look at options. We were pleased to see Gulistan were available to us as they are a regular go to for us. We put in an order which they cancelled after 5 minutes. I rang up to explore what the problem was and see if we could order over the phone and they said they didn’t deliver to the area. I fed back that they could change their postcode settings to avoid disappointment and that we were regular customers and they hung up. Shame as we won’t use them again. Customer service makes all the difference in a crowded market.

Just had a very delicious meal delivered to us. A fabulous tasty curry from Gulistan Sheffield. We are delighted with the food and will definitely order a meal again. We highly recommend them

Always order from Gulistan. They do the best vegetable tikka massala curry ever and I would recommend to any one. My husband has had lots of different dishes and they have all been fantastic. Wouldn't order a curry from anywhere else.

The food is so gorgeous and tasty. Really large portions with lots of meat and it's so delicious. Quick delivery time too. My friend is now converted after one meal. Highly recommended xxx

Have been getting takeaways from here for a long time. Have tried many other local Indian takeaways with mixed and varying results but Gulistan is reliably good. We usually get popadoms, a biryani, a curry dish and a rice. ALWAYS tasty, hot and delivered on time. I’ll continue using Gulistan as my go-to for great tasting Indian food. 😊

Possibly the worst 'curry' I have ever had. Tandoori chicken was tepid, small portions, nan bread like a used towel, onion bhaji soggy. Never again.

The worst curry I have ever had.we waited one hour for delivery to crookes. And I can only say dog poop.king prawn curry was like water , no spice nothing. Onion Bhaji was not cooked in the middle. Very bad and no Indian chef was involved in this process .

Will never be going to gulistan again! Food was disgusting! Popadoms were stale, tandoori chicken was like rubber and the naan breads tasted like they had been there for days and just re-heated! Food was stone cold. The manager was rude and arrogant even though he said he was quiet, he would not send the delivery driver back or even try to find a solution. Absolutely disgusted and would not recommend to anyone.

Got a takeaway for Dad's birthday tea. Shared 2 curries and side dishes between 3 adults. Amazing food, the flavours were delicious as always. I have been visiting this place for 20 years and its one of the best in Sheffield.

Muy decepcionados en reciente visita a Gulistan. Vivimos localmente y el personal siempre es amable, pero la comida estaba bien. Nada del otro mundo. Era un poco más delgada de Korma y el Jalfrezi normal no era experimentado correctamente. Simplemente no era una fusión de sabores, solo algunos chili's chocaron en la parte superior. Me sentí la orden salió demasiado rápido (15 minutos). No nos dar prisa en volver.

Pedí una para llevar desde aquí por primera vez, después de leer algunos excelentes críticas, sin embargo me quedé muy decepcionado. Mi poppadoms estaban duros y no recibir la bandeja pickle que había pedido. Mi curry también era bastante enfermizo, ya que parecía estar lleno de yogur/crema y im un ventilador spice no fue esperando. También tenía muy poco de pollo, pero un montón de trozos de tomate. No es mi favorito curryhouse por un largo camino y no pedir desde aquí. Sin embargo, el conductor de la entrega fue muy amable y alegre, pero por desgracia esto no compensa el nivel por debajo de la comida.

Ordered from here because our usual place was closed and after over an hour waiting for it to arrive we were very disappointed with what we received. All of it wasn't hot by any stretch of the imagination - had to blast it in the microwave. The curries were both very oily. Our plates were swimming in it. The chips were clearly cooked and then reheated. The popadums were all smashed up and the quality of the meat they used was so cheap - like chewing leather. Safe to say we will not be using them again. Very disappointing

Visit by family, and a Gulistan was called for. As usual food was good, hot and thoroughly enjoyed by all.We ordered by phone then collected at time specified. All ready for us, packed into a box to transport.

I oredered a take away that included a mixture of starters & mains.It was beautiful, all really tasty and generous portion sizes.It was ordered and delivered in 35 minutes, they put in extra popadoms and sauce. The chicken puri was incredible for part of the starter and the chicken Brinjal was amazing.Is definitely recommend this place

I'd love to review the food but unfortunately not possible. Placed an order and after an hour and a half rang to see where it was...We were told there was no order placed for our address, no apology, no attempt at re taking our order and awful customer service! Absolutely disgusted by how rude the man was and will definately never even try the food, they don't deserve the custom

Whenever I fancy a curry I always order from here, I've tried other places but none compare the taste and quality of the food here, the staff are very friendly too. Highly recommend

Lived nearby for years thought it looked dinjy till a relative ordered a meal from there. What a surprise this place is a dark horse really overlooked great quality meat fresh unbelievable price I dont know how they do it. Well done (windows need cleaning tho perhaps)...

Food fantastic, staff friendly, 5* hygiene rating. Stood there for decades; best curry in Sheffield. A hidden gem; don't go elsewhere.

Without a doubt the best takeaway in Sheffield, staff are very friendly and the food is to die for. My favourite is a chicken tikka pasanda, and it's not even on the menu!
