arrived 15 minutes after 'max' predicted time but food was very hot and quality was excellent. qill order again but should be more realistic about delivery times

It was late due to traffic and the driver apologised. I only knocked 1 star off as it wasn’t as hot as it should have been, otherwise, it was great!

Nicely crisped Onion Bahjis and sauce. Great Special Biriyani, plenty of meat and a good veg sauce.

The foods nice. Delivery is shocking. Order 2-3 hours in advance and yet it’s still late .. sometimes up to two hours late. Last night ordered at 6pm for 8pm turned up after 8:30pm, no apology. 7 times before we could even get through to the shop on the phone. The man that answered was also rude and hung up after saying “drivers on his way” keep giving them another chance but when you can’t garuntee when your foods going to turn up not sure it’s worth it.

Taj Mahal do excellent curries but their delivery service is abysmal. Waiting over 2 hours for my food to arrive with no update or apology. Either hire more drivers or don’t accept orders. Pathetic service that lets down an otherwise great place.

Food is nice, but delivery takes forever. Never on time! The time they tell you it’s like 1:30h but it’s never on time even then :/ won’t be ordering again

It took exactly 2 hours to deliver the food which is way too long for a takeaway. The food was delicious when it arrived though - but you sent vegetable samosa’s not the meat ones we ordered. Thanks!

Once it arrives the food is great. It took 3 hours for food to arrive. Email said 1 hour and 20 mins due to delays. Phoned up after hour and half I was told it would be another 20-30 minutes, 1 hour later it’s still not arrived called up again and it’s still in the store been packed so now will be another 15-20 minutes. If you want a reliable delivery I wouldn’t advise to order from here. I had 2 very hungry children who have been waiting over 3 hours for their dinner.

Cannot fault the food but the delivery is abysmal!! This was last chance saloon and will not be ordering from here again. They need to employ more chefs and delivery drivers.

delivery was very late it said on just-eat enjoy food meaning it was delivered but wasn't so i had to phone and was told it would be 15mins. 40 minutes later it arrived.i asked for cheese nan bread was sent plain.but because food was hot and very nice i won't score it low.but i will think again when ordering from taj mahal

food hot and tasty, however ordered at 6.45 and didn't arrive until 9.15. was expected at 7.50-8.10. chased at 8.30 and told 10-15 mins which was also wrong. would order again as food is good but would build in the wait as it has happened before.

Food was amazing once it arrived, one of the best Indian takeaways we've had. Unfortunately, it took 2.5 hours to arrive. Really polite on the phone when we called to ask how long it would be, but probably wouldn't order for delivery again as took too long.

I ordered at 19.20, my food arrived after chasing twice at 21.50. Very poor.

Over 2 1/2 hours to deliver food is always nice not much chicken in the curry’s tho so very disappointing

Delivery and even pickup times are often if not usually delayed, but we keep coming back because the food is great, especially for the price (we generally only get veggie options so can't vouch for meat dishes), so would still recommend!

Genuinely really tasty food everytime I've ordered from here. Delivery time is slightly longer than everywhere else but not crazy so doesn't bother me.

Buena comida. Pedí el karahi de cordero y el curry de langostinos, ambos estaban muy bien y el cordero estaba particularmente delicioso 😋. La entrega fue de alrededor de 30 minutos y el repartidor fue educado y amable.

Lovely food. Ordered the lamb karahi and prawn curry, both were really lovely and the lamb was delicious. Delivery was around 30 minutes and the man was polite and friendly. We don't have takeaway food alot but will definitely order again.

if when ordering they said there was a 2hour delivery time I wouldn't have ordered .then it was late when ringing restaurant told it was just being packed ready for delivery totally wrong .and when delivered it wasn't that good the special curry was only chicken when it was supposed to be a mix of meats .a very unsatisfied regular customer .not anymore

Excellent curry ordered chicken balti. Best curry I have ever had. And believe me I've ordered a few. Collected myself and didn't have to wait long. Will definitely be ordering again

Lugar ridículo, tomó 3 horas para entregar la comida después de decir que tomará una hora. Llama de vuelta y no te disculpes ni nada gratis ni dinero. Y también vino frío. No volveré nunca más.

Yeah the food might be extremely nice but waiting 2 and a half hours for delivery is beyond a joke rang twice to enquire where food was and was told twice be 20 mins twice was lied to. I certainly wont be using this place again

missing rice, delivery was supposed to be 7.40-8pm, arrived at 9.15pm rang twice chasing order, I know busy but least be honest, if going to be another hour then tell people that, will save poor delivery driver getting it in neck!

The food was 25 minutes late, the courier was lovely and apologised to my brother of it being late however it shocked me as we only lived 10 minutes away from Taj Mahal. I paid for two cokes which added up to £2.40 and when we got our meals there wasn’t a drink in sight.

Fantastic curry… possibly our new fave… will review again to confirm on our second time ordering :)

Wow probably the best Indian takeaway in Sheffield . Food was so fresh and full of flavour . Delivered in under 45 mins and was nice and hot. Anyone wanting a Indian get it from here .

Nice bhajis, but no salad or raita. Chicken biriani very nice, sauce just right. Garlic nan was slightly thin, and not overly garlicy. Dropped a star on these points.

We were sat waiting almost 2 hours for our order. The order came 15 minutes after the latest arrival time and was cold by the time it got to us. We called up twice asking where the food was, the shop staff didn’t seem bothered at all and didn’t have a clue where the driver was. Horrendous!

first time we've ordered from here. the food was late, which I've noticed on reviews was a theme. however the food was hot and absolutely delicious when it arrived. despite the long delivery times, we will order again.

The food was good but it was late and I they gave me a can rather then the bottle of coke I ordered, which happens often when I order for here.

First time delivery tonight. Really impressed with the food. Lots of flavour, delivered hot. Good portions. Value for money. We'll be regulars here I think. We had a problem with just eat taking forever to deliver it... Over 2 hours. But when we called the restaurant they were really helpful and polite, so would collect in future because the food is worth the walk... Even if I lived a long way from it I'd walk there for a yummy dinner.

I enjoyed a delicious Special Biryani today. Because I am diabetic, I requested that no sugar be added, and also expressed a preference for curry sauce (rather than vegetable sauce). Some restaurants offer a choice, but this restaurant seems happy to accommodate the request. I shall certainly order from here again.

Hi Guys. We have been ordering from you for many, many years so obviously enjoy your food. I don’t recall being let down by your ability to meet the requested delivery time as bad as this before. I would just ask that if you are so busy you stop taking orders until you catch up. Having said that when we did get it the food was hot and tasty.

Very nice food. The rice was tasty, the naan bread was massive and very soft. The korma was really nice but not a big fan of the butter chicken. I was surprised to see it had lots of coriander in the sauce/on top of it as that’s not something I’ve ever had with butter chicken at any other restaurant I’ve been to. It was a bit off-putting as I hate coriander so me and my partner did a swap. Would definitely order again, very reasonably priced as well compared to some takeaways I’ve seen!
