Very salty... disappointing. Won't be ordering from here again.

I'm afraid two of the three courses we ordered were unequivocally horrible. The onion bhajees were factory manufactured, contained no actual onion and comprised 95percent (I'm exaggerating for effect) dry, sweet, indigestible flour. After a few mouthfuls they went in the bin. The butter chicken comprised large, totally dried-out lumps of chicken breast and the most vile iridescent orange sauce I have ever seen. Again, after a few mouthfuls it all went in the bin. Never again.

Had to put one star to be able to leave a review but they dont deserve that. After being an hour late i rang to be told he had been knocking but no answer but as you cant get in without buzzing is a blatant lie. People were shouting comments whilst on the phone and never got food. Cancelled with uber eats after an hour and a half. I implore you avoid like the plaque. What a shambles

Mogul room sheffield booked delivery of curry 5.40pm it's now 7.17pm no curry ...was on its way.... called them and driver said he knocked well he did not! We have a camera and no ones been! They suggested why we didn't add notes to order well we used you loads of times and no 1 got lost... they wont refund cos it's done via your app what utter rubbish.. Now 7.30pm what was supposed to be anice meal with my family is now ruined ... they sending a "new" yeah right!!!! Curry .. tick tok just feeding my family cheeseon toast will not be going back to mogul room utter crap service

I’ve been a regular customer for years but the past several orders sadly things have changed for the worse. The chicken Zaara, an amazingly flavourful curry usually, has went from medium hot to extremely hot in the space of a few years. So hot that I couldn’t even eat it last time and counted over 12 individual chilli’s in my one small portion! The naan has also changed and the garlic ones now have huge crushed cloves of garlic all over and don’t taste anywhere as good as they used to. Can’t help but think chef left during Covid and it’s just not the same since

I’d give a 0 review if I could. The food here is good however….. the current staff here are quite clearly incompetent! Of our last 4 deliveries 3 were incorrect and the 4th didn’t even arrive. More fool me for continuing to order from them. Apologies wear thin when your kids are let down.

Rang to make an order to collect. Wasn't told however that they don't take cards as payment. So, had to drive to cashpoint. It would of helped to be told this when I placed my order. Lovely food though

Sadly very disappointing. We ordered a takeaway from here but there just wasn't any flavour whatsoever, to the extent that you couldn't tell the difference between the two different currys. I have had takeaways from the mogul room for the past 10 years on and off, and the quality has varied but the last two times have put us off ordering from here in the future

Absolutely loved my experience at The Mogul Room! The aroma of the food had my taste buds tingling even before I opened the containers. The flavors were a burst of authentic Indian goodness. The food was ready on time and packed with care. Special thanks to the lovely girl at the front -  her warm welcome made my visit even better. Thanks for the great service!  Five stars for a reliable go-to spot!

Will never buy from again. The curry I had was poor/very bland and as a result was unlikely to buy from again as it was. Second, and most importantly, the restaurant sent threatening and abusive message to my friend who had bought the curry. They had suggest he had not paid and sent very threatening messages. He had paid by bank transfer in the shop which in the end they admitted to. No apology coming from them for the vile messages they sent.

If I could give less than one star I would. We ordered from here on Saturday night. My husband paid via bank transfer whilst in the shop. He then received multiple missed calls and the attached messages stating he hadn’t paid. HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE SHOP WITHOUT PAYING! To which he replied with a screen shot of the payment. To speak to anyone in this way is absolutely disgusting but to threaten to put cctv images of A CHILD on fbook for all their followers to see is absolutely disgusting. I will never eat from here again and will be ensuring that everyone knows the treatment they could receive by eating from here. You should be ashamed of yourselves. And burner phones?!? What a dodgy thing to comment with.

Avoid at all costs. The curry I had from there was very bland indeed which was the first reason I would avoid. The second is quite shocking - they accused my friend of not paying for the take away (he had paid by bank transfer in the shop). They sent vile and abusive messages threatening to share cctv videos of him, his young child and myself on FB, threatening to humiliate us around Sheffield and to neighbours. In the end they admitted he had paid but there was no apology from them for the unacceptable and abusive messages.

Delivery was quick but the food tasted way below par. Please do better. Very expensive for the taste, Rice soggy and the lamb were just few pieces. I don’t think I will ever order this again .

Had a takeaway delivered. A butter chicken where the chicken was so tough. The naan bread was doughy and dry. The rice was clearly microwaved and stodgy. Even some of the poppadoms were stale. Very very poor meal at quite an expensive price

Grabbed two tandoori roti for takeaway. £3.60?! They were stodgy and greasy. The place is messy inside and kitchen didnt look great from what I could see. Unimpressed

I ordered though Uber eats and whilst the food was delicious, I couldn’t find any chicken in my biryani to the point where I checked my order to see if I had ordered a vegetarian! I’m a bit sad about that tbh because it was tasty ☹️ I don’t know if this is usual but it will put me off ordering again

We ordered a takeaway via deliveroo, it’s not cheap but overall the flavours & spices were good. The naga ji as warned is probably the hottest takeaway I’ve had & that’s not a bad thing if you like heat. Chicken pieces were cut small, I do prefer a bigger bite & note this has been commented before. Good support from rice & naan.

Good standard of food. All 3 dishes tried were nice. Garlic naans decent but could've had more garlic on them. Overall a decent Indian but far from the best I've had.

I have had my curries from here for about 16 years now. From the day it opened. The food is to really good standard. Always very enjoyable and you can tell effort as been put into the food from scratch. The curries are very tasty and is always made with good quality meats. The staff are always very friendly too. Especially the owner mukid🙂🙂

Wouldn't even give it one star. Ordered through uber eats tonight. It was left on next doors doorstep. When I rang the resturant I was called a liar and that it had definately been left on my doorstep. How they can say that when my neighbour is a witness as he brought it to me. By the time we got it it was cold. Will never order from them again or use uber eats again.

Worse Indian I’ve ever tasted. Curries were very watery, nan breads were very doughy and stodgy. Lamb Tikka was over cooked. Only edible thing was the popodoms. Regrettably spent £60 which went straight in the bin. Waste of time and money. Completely put us off from ordering an Indian again. Avoid at all costs.

Great tasting food but an arse of a delivery driver, food was a bit damaged and delivered without care, he didn't read basic instructions in notes, and ended up in the wrong place, says he called me but it didn't come up yet the restaurant called me fine, he then proceeded to have a go at me for it in the street.

Not about the food, but about disappointing errors in delivery.Well, the team has worked hard to put things right and I am so pleased. The food is just excellent - and great value. Now the service has improved to match it, and I know if there is an issue (which happens from time to to time) the manager will work hard to correct it. Disfruto la comida de Mogul Room, sabrosa y de buena calidad.El problema es que si pides una comida para llevar (como hice yo) y cometen un error (como lo hicieron), obtienes la misma respuesta cuando llamas: están demasiado ocupados para corregirlo y te ofrecerán un descuento a continuación. hora.El problema es que arruina tu comida. Y en esta ocasión se pasaron por alto algunas cosas bastante básicas, o se equivocaron. Y eso realmente lo estropea.Es una verdadera lástima, me encantaría seguir usando este restaurante, pero están demasiado ocupados para molestarlos mucho. Así que me iré a otra parte.

Habiendo vivido en el extranjero durante muchos años, estaba realmente emocionado de visitar una casa de curry en Gran Bretaña simplemente porque la calidad es mucho mejor que cualquier cosa que encuentre en Europa continental (con una excepción notable, el Ashoka en Marsella). Y a pesar del peso de mis expectativas, la comida estuvo a la altura de lo que esperaba. La comida era sutil, fresca y deliciosa, los bhajis eran realmente muy buenos y el servicio amable y eficiente.

NEVER AGAIN. Went Saturday night for my birthday, waited 45 mins after taking our order to then start to notice others that can in after is been served. So walked out.

Service was lovely and warm. It went a long way to counteracting the incorrect order, over-priced pickle tray that we specifically didn’t order ( but ate anyway as it was nice), massively over salty starter and over spiced curry. Bread and rice were good.

Very friendly staff, all the usual choices with the menu. I always stick to what I like first time round. Ordered popadoms / pickle tray, onion bhaji and a main course of chicken tikka balti and a plain naan. Choice of 6 pickles was a good start, fast service ( at 8.00pm on a Friday night ) and a Chicken Tikka Balti that was the best I’ve tasted in many years. Also the Naan was well worth the £2.50 I paid for it. 10 /10 Next time I’ll try something a bit more adventurous

I love it here. We get takeaway a lot but decided to come here for date night. We've been coming here foe years now. We try other places thinking we ought to branch out but always come back, it's the chicken zaara that nowhere else can equal. It never ever disappoints.

Experiencia asombrosaFuimos el lunes 3 de febrero, excelente servicio al cliente, especialmente la comida era increíble, recomendaría el jalfrezi y pollo shashlik. La bandeja de encurtidos es definitivamente un 5 estrellas. Combinación de ensalada de cebolla, lima y pepinillo en vinagre, la salsa roja, no estoy seguro de si era una salsa de chile, el chutney de mango dulce y el yogur. Los precios son razonables. Hemos visitado varias salas de magnates varias veces y siempre nos ha impresionado. Llevamos a algunos miembros de la familia para una ocasión especial y quedamos muy decepcionados. Después de ordenar los entrantes unos 10 minutos y el camarero se acercó para decir que se habían quedado sin bhajis de cebolla. ¿Cómo puede suceder eso? ? Todos tuvieron que cambiar su orden y no nos ofrecieron nada a cambio. El curry era entonces muy normal, nada como las visitas anteriores. Luego pedimos botellas de cobra y se habían quedado sin botellas pequeñas, así que todos tuvimos que tener grandes. Tampoco es el restaurante indio más barato, por lo que cabe esperar que la comida esté por encima de la media. La experiencia me decepcionó y puedo decir que no volveré a las salas de magnates de nuevo.

Nos reservamos para las 21:45 y nos quedamos esperando en la zona del bar durante unos 15 minutos a pesar de que solo había unas pocas personas. Uno de los camareros estaba teniendo un desacuerdo con otros clientes, lo que probablemente fue la razón del retraso. Éramos 6 y nos pusieron en una mesa que era solo para 4, sin dejar mucho espacio para la comida.Luego procedimos a ordenar que nos dijeran que no tenían cebolla barjis. Al principio nos reímos pensando que el camarero estaba bromeando, ¡pero no, él hablaba en serio! Teníamos los poppadoms que estaban bien y nos saltamos los entrantes. Le pregunté al camarero si el pollo tikka masala estaba cremoso y me aseguró que sí. Cuando llegó, parecía un tazón de sopa de tomate con pollo flotando y sabía horrible. Mi amigo tenía pollo biryani pero no encontró ningún pollo. El pollo al curry era bastante insípido. Los otros dijeron que sus comidas estaban bien, que eran jalfrezi de pollo.Solía ser uno de nuestros indios favoritos, pero definitivamente no volverá.

Really disappointed. Used to be great here but the watery slop I waited 45 minutes for wasn't even close to a curry. When I called to complain was grumpily told they had sold loads of Madras that evening so can only assume they watered it down, as my naan ended up like a wet flannel. Inedible even after draining it in the sink. Awful experience. Wont be going back. How not to do it. Shame after 20 years of good food. Not sure what's changed but I'll be changing my curry house!

We’ve not been for a while and tonight was exceptional. Emran was by far the best waiter we have had in any restaurant for a long while. He ensured we had an amazing night. The food was first rate. As a vegetarian with garlic intolerance I couldn’t have been more delighted with the menu choice. We will most certainly be back soon.

Pedí una comida para llevar y fue tan bueno! El vegetariano karai tenía mucha variedad, muy fresco y sabroso. El shashlik de pollo también es muy recomendable, venía con una ensalada fresca y naan y arroz y todo era deliciosamente apetitoso. También vino con popadoms y chutneys de cortesía que se sumaron al placer general. Lo mejor que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Lo único que diría es que las bolsas de plástico deben reemplazarse por algo ecológico. Gracias ! !

Después de haber estado aquí durante años, todo lo que diría es que el aumento masivo de los precios de la comida que hacen es un poco excesivo, pero la comida tiene un sabor promedio.

Después de haber utilizado las habitaciones Mogul durante años, hemos vivido su comida. Hemos comido y habíamos quitado. Recientemente no hemos tenido nada más que grosería y mal servicio. Una vez pedimos comida para recolectar pero la entregaron y luego llamaron para preguntar dónde estábamos. Cuando preguntamos si nuestra colección aún estaba caliente después de haber salido de la cocina, nos dijeron groseramente que habíamos pedido la entrega. Se han olvidado de nuestro pedido de pan para los últimos 3 pedidos. Y la gota que colmó el vaso fue llamar para pedirle que esperara 2 segundos. . . . . . . 8 minutos después me colgaron. Volvió a llamar y me dijeron que todos los precios habían cambiado. Un extra de 1. 10 para un bhaji de cebolla y un horrible servicio al cliente. No, gracias. La comida ha ido cuesta abajo y el servicio al cliente es abismal. ¡Evitar! ! !

Used to be a family favourite, tried it again having had a 2 year gap since last trip. Had pre booked but no table ready when we arrived, despite not being full. Eventually got seated after the 7 of us had spent 20 mins in the small 'bar' area, ended up with the worst table in the restaurant right by the toilets and kitchen. Food was average, service dreadful, interior and toilets should have been refurbished a long time ago. Real shame this Indian has lost its charm from start to finish

The Mogul Room has gone from a cosy favourite to the worst curry we’ve ever had. I think it’s changed hands. Bland doesn’t event cover it. Flavourless, cheap ingredients. I think someone with no tastes buds cooked the food. I bet a prison curry has more flavour. Plus the waiter was picking his nose and teeth. Overpriced.

Went Saturday with friends, different dishes were had by everyone all of which were delicious. My Balti was one of the best I've ever tasted. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back.

Been a few times with friends and family, always served amazing food with a lot of varieties to choose from. The pickle tray is the best I’ve seen but is quite nice and presentable,the staff are very attentive and make sure tables are always clean and tidy. Desert menu would make it ever better! Definitely will start coming more.

Hemos estado varias veces en este restaurante y siempre hemos disfrutado de la comida; Sin embargo, hay un par de cosas que simplemente te sacan ventaja al tener una experiencia 100% satisfactoria. El servicio, aunque eficiente, no tiene sonrisas, y el baño femenino, que vi que usaba una mujer miembro del personal, tampoco tenía forma de secarse las manos después de lavarlas: secadora rota, sin toallas de papel.

Fui en un grupo grande. El servicio fue extremadamente lento para comenzar, a pesar de que el lugar estaba tranquilo, pero una vez que se pusieron en marcha, fue genial. Buena selección vegetariana, excelentes panes naan. Lados un poco pequeños por el precio. Porciones de arroz generosas. No hay cerveza de barril. El personal es muy agradable. Irá de nuevo.

Service was a tad slow & tardy but the food was wonderful. The chicken Naga was spicey, the naan bread was fluffy and tasty. Couldn't fault the food tbh. Will be back.

Walked passed this place many a time & never gone as chosen the more popular curry houses nearby & what a mistake I’ve made. This place is brilliant. The curry is very good and always come out hot so makes a change to get a warm dish. The naans are really good too. If there’s one fault I would say the naans aren’t big enough. Overall well worth a visit for a good quality curry.

A old favourite which never fails to deliver on choice, originality and quality

Quality curry dishes, rice, naan breads and accompaniments. Upon my recent visit to The Mogul Room I tried all my usual favourites, namely Chicken Jalfrezi, Lamb Rogan Josh, Peshwari Naan and rice and all were great quality and most flavoursome.

A group of friends visited on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was empty. We had to find a waiter to request popadoms and pickle tray, and then find a waiter again to ask if we could give our orders. The food arrived about 25 mins later. It was very nice and tasty but not very warm. I definitely will not be visiting again. There are lots more Indian restaurants to choose from!

Been coming here for years. The food is just incredible - really fresh and amazing flavours and a really good variety of dishes to choose from. Only downside is the staff seem quite disinterested and aren't bothered about engaging with the customers. If they sort this out, 100% would get 5 stars!

Visitamos este restaurante ayer para una celebración familiar de 60 años. La comida era increíble, sabrosa y un gran tamaño de las porciones. Sin embargo, una cosa que me gustaría mencionar más en nuestra visita fue el servicio al cliente de las chicas jóvenes. Una de las chicas estaba tomando pedidos de bebidas en el bar y la otra niña estaba tomando pedidos de comida en la mesa y, a pesar de que estaban ocupados y bajo presión a veces, se mantuvieron profesionales, educados y nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. Hicieron que nuestra noche fuera especial. Recomendaría este restaurante a cualquier cosa que piense ir.

Estado yendo más de 2 años. Pero la porción disminuye cada vez. Mi caja de plástico tenía 2 pedazos de pollo y salsa llena el 25% de la caja. Decidió llamar y fue puesto en el chef. Second visit here and yet again they had to go out to get ice for the drinks. Some of the food was excellent but a couple of the dishes were hit and miss.Our table was wiped down with a kitchen cloth whilst we were sat at it and they don't serve tea or coffee. Needless to say there won't be a third visit.

The food was very nice, though the place is a little run down. I didn't get what I thought I ordered, but this could be down to regional differences.

Anyone who has travelled the busy and thriving route of Sharrow Vale Road on a regular basis will have noticed The Mogul Room. If not visually, then by the sublime aromas that consistently omit from this restaurant’s kitchen.

Never had a bad meal here...normally have popadoms, tandoori chicken stater, king prawn saag and mushroom rice...always has great taste and addictive!...smell the freshness and spices as you walk past always a great sign...great place...fair value...

This was my second visit,the last four years ago, the place although small the service and quality of food was very good. We will be going again
