We visited this restaurant Saturday was hoping to try the one next door but it was full However we managed to get a table in this one I love Indian food , I cook it and try many restaurants as it’s my favorite We was both in agreement that this was one off the best that we have had in Kent Will definitely go back

Tried this restaurant (as a take away) for the first time tonight and we weren’t disappointed. The food was fantastic, we had the monkfish curry, lamb dumplings, mint bread, plus other sides - wonderfully different to a usually curry but still comfortingly familiar! Can’t wait to order again and try more dishes.

We were delighted with our takeaway meal from Kings Gurkha this week. It was the first time we had tried the restaurant and we were very impressed. The food was delicious, really fragrant, piping hot and well presented. The menu is extensive with a great fish section. The staff were very helpful with my dietary requirements ( gluten free). The food was ready on time. We will certainly be using this restaurant again.

Ordered a takeaway through their website, they took the time to call us to discuss the allergens as we specified we needed a couple of dishes dairy free. I appreciated this as many restaurants aren’t up on the allergens and often don’t care. We collected, food was ready on time. We tried some new dishes and weren’t disappointed, all very tasty and good size portions. Definitely going back for more soon!

Ordered two lamb curries two rice dishes one non-bread two poppadoms and one large beer. Waited one hour and 15 minutes for the food to arrive. When I asked for the bill it came up and it was £34 Which included 10% discount. When I paid via my Apple Pay telephone I noticed I was charged £42. When I queried this I was given another bill for £47 less discount of 10% the large gentleman said it was a mistake with the till. When I got home I went online and worked out the prices from the menu. The most I should’ve been charged was £39 this was the full menu price without any discounts. This was allowing £6 for the beer (wasn’t priced on the website) The first bill was probably right. Needless to say I won’t be going back

First curry since lockdown and well worth the wait. Lovely food as always. Will definitely be back very soon.

Really surprised on the portions. £4.95 for 2 small meat balls. £4.25 for a baby chicken leg of Tandoori chicken. Disappointed.

Decided to get a lockdown takeaway, we live on Kings Hill so this chose to help out our local Indian restaurant, I must say we was VERY disappointed by the portion sizes 😡 only 6 (six) pieces of chicken in their tikka masala dish and they were swamped by a container full of sauce. I would of thought a little bit more effort by the restaurant during times of hardship when their sooooo desperately trying to get business back on track, it’s backfired from my point of view, hence my view of not returning.

Thank You for being open. It was a lovely end to a super busy week . The food was great and a nice surprise to receive 25% discount, for being a NHS Worker.

So I found the guffa had reopened last week for take away during this very difficult time.How wonderful to enjoy a flavoursome meal with the wonderful staff who are always willing to help, remember us and what we like to eat.Wasn’t disappointed actually was excited to be eating an Indian meal after so many weeks of planning and cooking meals myself.Thank you so much for helping us all feel a little normality in such strange times. Very very grateful.

The best Indian Restaurant in the area! Food is always amazing and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I would like to add more to the last review, after my wife left to go home i thought I would talk to Amin explaining again the manager who my wife spoke to was very apologetic and had rectified the situation, Amin then proceeded to say he was the manager and we were no longer welcome in his establishment as he had CCTV of us being disruptive on a prior visit, both of us semi professionals aged 58 & 59 , who have never eaten inside as we prefer to eat at home. Now he starts shouting, I tried to calm the situation to no avail, now its time to leave, must be a very long drive as he is still irate saying we are not locals, yes he is right we live 2.1 miles away. Next part, you could not make up bearing in mind the original complaint..... yes we arrived home our garlic nan had turned into 2 chapatis, our pickles and salad came with no popadoms, you could not make it up. Feel sorry for the owners who have such abysmal front of house. A call back has been requested, will post the outcome. Understand now the negative staff reviews, must add one exception the new guy from Eastern Europe.

I ordered a takeaway on the 2nd feb over the phone, picked it up and paid(proof on my bank statement) once I went to dish up I realised we had the wrong order, I rang and a gentleman asked if I wanted them to deliver my correct order or a credit on my account, he offered a credit on my next order which I accepted and was very impressed with his customer service, UNTILL I returned the following Saturday!!!! I’ve never been accused of lying, being a thief and told that I don’t come from that area, which I thought was a form of racism! Why would I deliberately walk in to a restaurant and steal someone’s meal and pay for it? I phoned to speak to the manager about my dissatisfaction and the way I was treated but was told that there was no manager until Monday ? I was told the man on the front desk was called amin. He was so rude, aggressive intimidating and has absolutely no customer skills. I shall be interested when I ring on Monday to speak to him about this member of staff.

Check you have got the right meal before you leave, second time in the last 3 weeks they have given us someone else's meal, frustrating to say the least, whoever got ours enjoy, we didn't yours 😤

We visited on a Sunday lunchtime when the restaurant was almost empty. We arrived at 1400 but the first thing the unfriendly waiter told us was that we'd have to be quick as the kitchen closed at 1500. We quickly had a look at the à la carte menu and saw a great deal for a buffet so decided to go for that. We asked for directions to the buffet and were directed to the toilets (the waiter's English was poor). He then explained they no longer offered an actual buffet as it led to too much waste, but you could order whatever you wanted from the buffet menu; which we did. The food was delicious and plentiful. Given the waiter had initially told us the restaurant was against waste, we asked to take away the small amount of food we had left - only to be told you couldn't when ordering from the buffet menu. We then asked for the bill and saw we had each been overcharged by £5 compared with the price advertised on the menu. When we queried it, the waiter went to get another member of staff who turned up in an outdoor jacket - not very professional. He explained they had changed their prices last year and had advertised this on their website. But not on their menus... He ungraciously removed the extra charge from the bill. In summary, great food but poor service.

I was genuinely surprised how bad this restaurant has become. Plenty of staff but the speed of service was appalling. Even the four drinks we ordered were delivered one at a time over a period of half an hour. The food was bland, the popadoms were burnt and inedible and the main dish was slapped on the table together with ice cold plates. When asked if they could be heated we were told it wasn’t possible. My Dhansak chicken was cold and the bill was very very wrong (over £100!!). The attitude of most of the staff was that they simply couldn’t care less. Altogether an experience that ensures we will never return.

This was our first time at Gufaa Raja and we really enjoyed it. The menu was different to a typical Indian with a wide variety of choice. The lamb was especially good - well spiced and tender. Would definitely recommend to order the prawns as a starter :) We will be returning!!

Ordered a take away to collect from them and was so disappointed as the food is soaking in oil and just horrible tasting, not very nice at all. Considering the prices are quite high for the dishes as well we expected much better. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Visited this restaurant several times and always found all staff to be very attentive and helpful. Atmosphere is always fun and welcoming and the food is superb. Lamb biryani is my favourite and the lamb is super tender. Takeaway service is brilliant too. Best Indian around

Visited here a couple of times over the past few years and would be going back. Have never had a great meal. Seems, if you visit weekly/regularly, the staff look after you, if not, they’re not bothered. Bad service. Rude staff. Food was by far less than average - can’t say it was enjoyed by any of us (and there was 7 men with beer flowing too). Wouldn’t recommend

Went to the Gufaa Raja for a Saturday evening out, fantastic food and very helpful attentive staff. We had a great time and the food was superb. Great location a and the restaurant was very clean and modern.

Ate here on Mothers Day and everyone enjoyed the meal.......Even the Mother-in-Law!

We had food here on Saturday evening, we have Been before and it was very nice.

My wife and I had a very nice curry at this restaurant. We went at approx. 7pm on a cold Decembers evening, unfortunately it was cold in the restaurant. There did not appear to be any central heating only electric radiators which unfortunately was not good enough.I will go again but not when the weather is cold.

Had a Sunday Buffet at lunchtime here after visiting a few times for an evening meal and being impressed. We have loved it each time. Food is fresh and flavoursome and the service is great. A family-business with a great menu. Highly recommended.

Simple dinner chicken biryani with salads and side dish was delicious. The service was excellent. The premise is clean, tidy, and modern spacious.

Visited on a Friday night, service ok, food came out quick, chicken tikka 6 small pieces for a main meal, very bland. Bombay potatoes very small portion.

I have ordered takeaways and also sat in for a meal at the Guffa and it's just awful, the prices are extortionate and when a group of us went for a meal, they sneakily added stuff onto the bill, hoping we would all just split the bill and not even check. Quite obviously a business that is going downhill fast and trying to grab every penny, they don't give a damn about keeping their customers happy and have no idea how to run a restaurant.

If you have plenty of time, and don't mind a long wait, give it a go. The last few times we have been there, and when we've been there with an organization I belong to, the time from order to service has been excruciatingly slow. Saying that, once the food comes it is good. The decor is plain but clean and not cramped. I would give it a six out of ten.

At about 6:30pm on Saturday, the missus and I fancied a restaurant meal and on the off chance went into this beauty! Even though we hadn't booked and I'm not a great lover of indian food, we felt we should try as it was local. We were greated pleasantly and told that we could have a table. I ordered the afghani chicken malai tikka which was superb. I can't remember what the missus had but she loved it. Nice modern decor and very nice friendly staff who got the balance right between being attentive while not being bothering. Will definitely be back!

I visited not that long ago on a Tuesday with a group of friends to try the banquet night. Everything was lovely! Food was nice and quick and service was on top form! Young girl that has worked there for a few years now is always very welcoming with a lovely big smile!

I've lived in Kings Hill for ten years and tried Gufaa a few times when we first moved here. However, despite the restuarant being very nice we were always disappointed with the food and so we started going elsewhere.

Hadn't been here for a while as the last time we visited the staff were not very friendly. This time the attention was brilliant. Right from check in to the bill they were friendly and attentive. The food however was a tad disappointing. Friend's Tandoori Mixed Grill was "a bit dry and over done". Wife's Salmon was likewise tad dry. My Special Chicken Curry was okay but a bit sweet. Nice evening and menu very comprehensive. Will return. Lovely premises.

Servido por varias personal expressionless que en cada punto sólo reconoció mi pareja. No es uno de ellos, me dieron cualquier contacto visual. Estoy local pero ni siquiera volver por una comida gratis y ciertamente no recomendaría este restaurante especialmente si eres mujer, ya que podría no haber existido.

Me encanta el guffa. Comida sabrosa, nada de problemas. Gran personal, recuerda su visita, lo que bebes, donde quieres sentarte, etc. El servicio y la comida excelente.

What can I say wonderful! Food is stunning in my opinion! Excellent value when you have the buffet and main restaurant is stunning yes you pay more but boy is it worth it! Staff are so friendly and welcoming wine and beer prices are good to, we've never had to book for buffet nor restaurant but if you require a large group then I would advise you book. Air con traditional music mmmmmmm gets my vote please do try this place I've ALAWAYS had good food and service the atmosphere is good

What a difference polite, happy and attentive staff can make to a meal. Arrived here on a quiet Monday evening with a colleague. We, in fact were the only people dining. The staff on duty were excellent. The meal for both of us hugely enjoyable. The curry was slightly mild for my liking but still very nice. Rice was plentiful and a reasonable bill was presented. Although again a 10% service charge was added. This time I did not mind as the service was excellent. However this becomes a detriment to any venue as no more was left. Without it being added we would have chosen a more substantial tip. It also has prevents an award of 5*.

Visited as part of a 30 strong birthday party. Service was a little slow but food was worth the wait. Great staff, friendly and efficient. Party continued in the function room upstairs which although a little dated an some of the furniture could do with updating was excellent and staff continue to excel.

We ordered a takeaway from here on Friday night and were very disappointed. The food was cold, and simply not very nice - my husband and I had different dishes (biryani - not sure how you can mess that up - and chilli chicken) but neither of us ate more than a few mouthfuls which was a complete waste of money (my husband will eat anything!). We've ordered from there before and it's never been excellent but it has been edible - we won't be ordering from there again.

I was very exited to make my 51 birthday at Gufa raja,I booked a table for 10 on Saturday night when we arrived at restaurant it was very warmed welcoming we were sitting on the centre table.the staff was very professional,food was outstanding. When we finished our meal there was a great surprise for me the management bring a cakes on the table with a bottle of champagne.I always remember this on my life.Over all it was a great party

After a day out in Margate spied this wonderful Asian restaurant on our way home to Sevenoaks. Nestled in a new development of businesses and housing it was packed with diners when we arrived. Most helpful staff found us a table for four to include room for a 6 month old. Service was excellent with a wide variety on the menu . A wine list was reasonably priced.

Unfortunately the food is not freshly made, rather it is pre-cooked (not sure if on site or off).I know this as I asked which dishes can come meat and dairy free. This is usually very easy to find in an Indian restaurant, especially one with so many veggie options (lentil deal, potato dishes etc) but was informed ALL dishes have a dairy base. I asked if they could cook me anything without the dairy base but I was told all dishes are already made, so no!If I wanted a microwave meal I'd have popped to Asda... With lots of people with food allergies and dietary requirements, it's shocking they use pre-made food as it leaves them with no flexibility at all. Luckily it was just me and my partner so we could leave and get something else, if I'd have been in a group it would have been embarrassing. Won't be returning, which is a shame as it could be nice if they served fresh food...

After the waiter grumbled something under he's breath and pointed to a table which is where we guessed we would be sitting we settled in for quite an unpleasant experienceWhen you visit a restaurant you don't need to be sat waiting to be served having to listen to the waiter constantly sniffing in that annoying way as if he was trying to get the contents of he's nose to the back of he's throat as if he's about to spit the entire mess onto the floor Along with that while he was meandering around the room had he's hand down the back of he's trousers thankfully my wife asked another member of staff to serve the food rather than let the other idiot serve usWorryingly hygiene does not appear to be at the forefront of he's mind After complaining the waiter was sent to another part of the restaurant which after the comedy moment of him peering round the bar to see who had complained was a reliefI know it's not fine dining although that is how Guffa Raja describes itself but surely every diner is entitled to have something to eat without this disgusting habit being performed next to youAs you can tell we will definitely NOT be returning

After my last visit to this Indian restaurant about a year ago when I came away very unimpressed by both the food and service I received I had decided that I would not return even though the Guffa Raja is my local Indian restaurant and I can walk to it. But a couple of weeks ago I was due to go to the Thai restaurant in Kings Hill with a group of friends one evening but unusually the Thai was closed that evening so it was decided that we would go to the Guffa Raja instead. I was rather worried about this decision after my last experience there a year ago but I needn't have been concerned. We were greeted politely, shown to our table and treated with courtesy and very pleasantly for the whole evening - very different from my last experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and hot and all in all we had a lovely evening. I came away feeling that I would give this restaurant another chance. I didn't realise how soon that would be though as my husband and I were going to have an Indian takeaway on Friday with some friends but we then decided, at the last minute, to go to an Indian restaurant instead and chose the Guffa Raja as it is so close by and I had had a good experience there the previous week. Again I was impressed by the service, probably more so this time, and again the food was delicious and hot. The friends that we went with are regular Indian restaurant attendees and have also travelled in India and they were also impressed by the Guffa Raja. So, in summary, I have completely changed my views on this Indian restaurant and would happily return there again and most likely will as it is our 'local'. I'm so pleased that this restaurant has managed to turn itself around, I really hope that this new attitude etc continues. I felt that I should write this review as my previous review was written in a completely opposite way. Many thanks to the Guffa Raja for 2 very nice evenings.

Well, after a previous poor dining experience at this restaurant I had said "never again".However, we met up with some friends who wanted to go to Guffa's so I went along with their request. How I wish I hadn't !!We went on a Friday evening and the restaurant was not even 1/3rd full - totally lacking atmosphere. Eventually ordered our food. My prawn puree had 5 small prawns in amongst a lot of sauce. My chicken jalfrezi was devoid of any peppers or chillies. The nan breads had shrunk in size by at least 30% since my previous visit. Our friends had equally disappointing portion sizes and dish contents. So ,much smaller portions, expected dish contents missing, expensive prices and waiters who gave the distinct impression that they really weren't interested in providing any decent level of customer service. Never, ever, again !!!!

We have been regular customers of this restaurant since it first opened in Kings Hill. Throughout that time, we have seen the business expand and their prices soar, yet still we have continued to have both takeaways and restaurant meals.The food has almost always been great. We were there this weekend and we had a good meal then as well.They were busy as one would expect on a Saturday night, and the service was slower than usual. They were particularly slow in bringing the drinks.We asked 3 times for the bill and waited half an hour to no avail. So we put our coats on and went to the takeaway area to pay. The waiting staff were very apologetic and someone whom we assumed may have been a manager offered us a drink, which we had to decline. All fair enough. However, the attitude of the woman who took our money was appalling; she was clearly in a very bad mood and couldn't even look us in the eye. If she's like that with customers, she must be awful to work with!We shall go back but if we receive such poor service again - and that bad attitude - we'll reconsider for the future.

Prebooked as thought it would be busy, it was, took a seat in waiting area were we continued to wait, while sat there a couple came in (who a member of staff knew) asked if they had booked they said no, they was taken straight through and given a nice table for two.We continued to wait, well pass our booking time, we asked if a table was ready and waited a bit longer, then given a table stuck on the end of a table for 4, so close it felt like we joined them, we complained about the table, challenged the fact that they had seated another couple well before us, and they hadn't booked! The manger was unhelpful didn't care, he has his regulars and not bothered about new business, needless to say we left, and his parting comment was 'don't bother coming again!' Guess what we won't be back!

Living on Kings Hill, I hadn't been here for a few years having been disappointed previously. This time a small group of friends visited on a Thursday evening and we were all genuinely surprised by just how good the food was! The atmosphere was pleasant (as it wasn't too busy), the menu simple but varied, service attentive and it was good value too. Well worth another visit in the not too distant future.

I had not been to this restaurant for a few years and was meeting up with old friends so was quite excited by the evening. When we arrived no one came to take us to a table and we waited for nearly 15 minutes until eventually we went up to someone and asked. Then we waited a good 20 minutes for someone to ask us about our drinks. The staff were not very friendly or polite and it seemed like they did not want to be there. We eventually got our drinks and food which i cant really complain about, the food was good but when it came to paying the bill the guy picked up the receipt and held it behind his back and then gave me the card machine which had an amount to write in to give a tip but luckily i had checked the bill and 10% service charge was already added. When i said to the waiter about this he grabbed the machine out of my hand to change it. Just make sure you check this. This restaurant was let down by its staff, i don't think i will be going back.

My friend and I regularly have lunch here and have never been disappointed. The lunch menu is limited but this is because of the price, £7.95 for a starter and main course (including rice). Food is always good quality and portions are larger than you'd expect for the price. Staff are always friendly and attentive but not overly so. I would recommend you try it.

Our first visit and we were very impressed. The whole place exudes a warm welcome and top notch experience. Attentive staff and service at just the right level and timing.The food was excellent and we enjoyed a leisurely meal without any sense of pressure in any way.High recommended

Our starters had more salad on the plate than ordered items. We were even charged for chutneys as well as the poppadoms we ordered. The restaurant itself is beautiful with some authentic features shame the food couldn't live up to that accolade!!!

Used to like this place years ago but feel it has really gone downhill. Service is slow even when it isn't busy. Last time I went there we had to ask for salt! We left most of our food.

A good indian restaurant but a little expensive. The staff are friendly but you can sometimes wait a while especially at weekends.

I have been a regular here since it opened in the original building and then onto the refurb when it took over Mckenzies/Hurricane. From the start the service and food have been top notch and all my friends have loved dining here..a fab place!However, since it opened in the 'bigger restaurant the personal service has slowly gone downhill. All the regular staff have near enough gone apart from Joe who now seems to be head of house. Over the last yr the personal service has all but gone and some of the staff are quite abrubt and moody. This is a real shame! When you are a regular, most indian restaurants make you feel 'special' and I feel this is happening here.The food is still really good, but it is a little expensive, and some of my friends now choose a nearby competitor in the village as their new 'local'.I will return as its 'my local' but if the service doesn't bring back the personal touch....I may go elsewhere..I hope the management read this..I am happy to discuss next time I'm there!

We experienced probably one of the worst Indian Meals for some considerable time.The food was poor quality , chicken legs for a starter , the Chefs Special was padded with peppers and other ingredients which was accompanied by a sauce which was so thin as to suggest its origins didn't emanate from India , Pakistan or indeed Bangladesh.The Manchoori was tolerable but again was padded to ensure that the chicken content was nominal.To cap it all the cost seemed very excessive for a poor quality meal. , I don't mind paying for quality but I do resent what I paid and still the waiter expected a gratuity.Perhaps this was a bad night but it is one that we will remember and avoid the establishment in the future

A more upmarket curry house with prices to match. Food not special enough to justify the cost in my book so generally visit the places in West Malling even though I live on Kings Hill. Sunday buffet is very good.

We had booked a table for four at 18.30 on a Saturday evening. We were first there and were GLARED at by the waiter. Why, I do not know. The service overall was very poor and the food 'ok'. I ordered an Afghan dish and regretted it - far too dry. The restaurant became busy so it is obviously popular and my three companions enjoyed their meals but we all laughed at the service - very Fawlty Towers.

We have visited the Guffa Raja on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The menu is just a bit more varied than the majority of Indian restaurants. Service has always been good, quick and efficient and the food is well cooked and presented. Worth visiting for something just a little different.

Another great takeaway from here tonight. Very busy in the restaurant so would recommend booking! Always a good sign though and lots of local people too. About 30-40min wait for takeaway collection time so plan in advance. But worth the wait!

We visited this restaurant a few times now and have been left disappointed on all occasions.I will try to be as brief as possible as this place is not worth the coverage.90% of the staff were unable to speak English and I'm not being judgmental as I am a British born Asian myself! Being able to communicate is paramount where business and customer service is concerned. When I made a surprise birthday booking the dates were misconstrued and the bar was promised afterwards but they refused to open it when the day came.The quality of food was sub standard and not true authentic Indian cuisine. If a benchmark were to be set this food would fail hands down. I could order a supermarket Indian dish and compared to the food served here the supermarket dish would win. The smell when I arrived in the restaurant was like a smelly old soup kitchen. I don't even think my dog would want to eat it and he is a Labrador but partial to a bit of curry sometimes!All dishes taste identical and leave you with a dull ache in your stomach.The toilets were filthy and did not have any hand soap which says a lot about the general hygiene issue within the establishment.This restaurant is very far from the top restaurants I have visited in the past. I have rated it "one" but feel that this is too generous. Gordon Ramsay where are you?

First of all, the staff here do not know how to take a reservation! We arranged a booking but on arrival no record of it. It then took them 20 minutes to seat 2 people! Waited over 1 hour for food - poor quality, chicken still pink! Manager so rude who advised us to get out if we wasn't happy! Don't overbook if you cannot cater for the customers!

Very good food that is very reasonably priced. Visited three times now and never disappointed. We are not fans of Indian cuisine however this restaurant is a pleasure to visit.

We went here on 1st April and I have to say I was very unsure on this. The place is set out very nice, staff are friendly. The food though I would say is only average and is overpriced. I wouldn't return here due to the price, if the price was lower I think I would return.

I have visited this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The quality of the food is very good with good quality meat in particular. The service is good as well - very attentive and respectful. Highly recommended.

Been to this place a few times and had ok currie. However it's starting to feel like the food is a little disappointing. Not as fresh as it used to be and it was a little greasy. Staff seemed helpful.

Went there for a Valentine Day meal. Not very crowded but the food and service were excellent as was the price. If you like Indian food this is to be recommended.

Went here for a birthday meal, food was ok but nothing special, hot food was very mild. There were six of us and the bill was over £200. I don't like to be told what to tip when I'm out, I think it's a personal choice of how we were looked after etc. However we left a tip and left the restaurant. We were walking down the road and a waiter came chasing after us and asked to go back to restaurant. We did as we thought we had underpaid, only to find out they were counting the money and we hadn't left their full 10% service charge, we asked if it was our choice and were told no so we left without paying anymore. We will not be returning again as it was humiliating to think other diners thought we had done a runner without paying at all.

I phoned an order in at lunchtime today and arrived early. Unlike another reviewer, I paid £4.60 for a glass of wine whilst waiting, dregs from one bottle then topped up..... Believing the food would be hot and ready to eat, was disappointed to come home (I live in the same postcode and drove) and have to re-heat everything. The calamari sauce was amazing I have to say, only wish I could have found some calamari to go with it. (Btw, I struggled to open the heavy door on leaving with no help from staff). Chicken breast on the dry side (tasted before re-heating). Very unlikely to return.

This was our second visit, service and food was as good as ever. It was quite expensive when compared to other Indian restaurants locally. Try the Peri Peri squid as a starter for a change and the chicken Madras. Both very good if you like it spicy!

Dined on Sea Bass, Crab Potli, Prawn Jalfrezzi and an amazing lamb with lemon dish. Delicious and served so well.

A very well decorated restaurant providing a relaxed environment. I always feel it's quite expensive but I've never been disappointed in the food. The staff are always pleasant.

we been eating here since 2004,food is always superv,very outstanding value,great atmosphere.They have great party room upstairs,I always recommend all my friends and family.

A friend and I had had a great takeway from here before and so went for a sit down meal to celebrate our joint birthdays. The food was great, but I notice other reviewers have also had the problems we did. The bill when it came included a service charge that the waiter claimed could not be removed from the chip and pin machine and that they did not receive this money and hassled for cash on top. They are obviously not charging enough for their food. Similarly to another reviewer, I accidentally left a fleece jacket over the back of the chair. My friend and I returned the next day and the waiters were incredibly rude, implying we'd had too much too drink and said they hadn't seen it - How can this happen in a reputable restaurant?

Have just been told that this fabulous place might be closing down due to poor hygiene standards the staff & food are faultless but you don't know what is going on in the Kitchen

I have a lovely family dinner party,food was lovely specially chicken65 was great,they have variety choise of menu.I would recommend this is the best Indian in Kent

We have been eating here since our daughter moved to Kingshill about 3 years ago. The food is always a treat with lots of regional speciality dishes as well as the expected staples - the quality is always good. We will be sorry that she is moving on, so we will not be in this village by design again. We will miss the Guffa!!

This is my local indian,Whenever I think about indian Gufaa is number 1,I never had any bad experience in this restaurant.The food is always good and the service is great

We've been eating at the Guffa for years. I'm surprised by the comments about customer recollection because I've always been welcomed back like an old friend. I trust the waiters to recommend me a new dish everytime and I am yet to be disappointed.Joe on the bar is so lovely and a great laugh, very polite and remembers my drink order.

Very friendly staff, lovely looking restaurant. Quite expensive and small portions compared to other Indian restaurants. Food is nice but I have had better elsewhere.

Been using this resturant for years, both eat in and take away. Excellent food although a tad expensive. Staff know their stuff and are friendly.
