Guesthouse Lounge in Doncaster

Having been twice before we decided to go again after the afternoon at the theatre. At 5pm it was rowdy and the service was terrible. It was full of groups doing bottomless brunch. Not a suitable place for a family to dine. The swearing and behaviour was terrible and the restaurant didn’t do anything to control it or to keep families separate. Waited 15 mins to order drinks and another 10 mins is for them to be served. Amongst other things we ordered king prawns in shells… no napkins, no finger bowl. We had to ask twice for a napkin. Meanwhile our prawns went cold. We also ordered a pasta dish with chicken. The chicken didn’t come. So had to ask for that. When it arrived I’d finished the pasta and was left with chicken. We ordered two aperol spritz - they tasted like soda with hardly any aperol and certainly no Prosecco. They did correct them and they were then nice - but it’s not that hard to make a nice aperol. Service was slow on top of the mishaps. The staff are all barely out of school and just don’t care. One positive was that the food was nice. I wouldn’t return unless they sorted the staff out as I think this is what the issues boil down to. The staff they’ve chosen and the lack of management is going to unfortunately ruin the reputation of this nice restaurant. Rethink the bottomless brunch/decide what you want to be. You can’t be both a nice classy restaurant and offer bottomless brunch - not at least without separating the two and having some noise control.

We had a fantastic meal here. There’s a good choice on the menu. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend it here

Amazing cocktails and the food is immaculate! The ambientence is perfect. Absolutely love it in here. Perfect for family's and adults only in the evenings. 100% recommended.

I had the most amazing experience here!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a luxury restaurant with strictly good vibes! The music, the environment, the staff.. Everything was 10/10 and I would most definitely come back weekly to Guesthouse!! Very happy customer :)

Went for cocktails yesterday a group of 5 of us, the cocktails were amazing we were really impressed, excellent service Volcan made us feel so welcome & even gave us complimentary shots, excellent service & staff really friendly we will be returning soon

We came here tonight for drinks, were politely seated and were told someone would be over shortly to take our order. We sat for a long time until we asked a waitress if we could order. I tried to order a vodka soda lime but wasnt an option on the tablet. She had to go to the bar to order it and when she came back with the drinks she brought the card machine so we were put off ordering the extra drinks we wanted so we didn't bother. Everytime iv come here the cocktails just dont quite taste right, almost diluted. I don't know its just never quite right. The wine is also very expensive and horrible tasting 😑

Booked a meal for 8 people for a 30th birthday. The service was amazing, the staff had decorated the table with 30th birthday decorations for us. The food was one of the best meals I've ever had. Table service was brilliant. Can't wait to go back already. Thank you guys so much.

Found at the beginning/end, whichever way you come in to the 'Strip' area of Doncaster, and a welcome relief from the noise of all the other joints nearby. Great choice of drinks/cocktails and not over-priced. Visited in the late hours and so no comment on the food served, but as a venue to chill and relax after a hard night partying, it more than fits the bill.
