Ground Coffee House in Maldon

Popped in for lunch and were seated for 20 minutes before an order was taken. Food took another 25 minutes and the Egg Mayo Bacon bagel was served without the bacon. We didnt pay ofr the bagel to be fair but the explanation was they were busy. 11 covers busy. Seems if you are local or known you are welcomed but the rest of us ....... just disappointing

The takeaway from Ground Coffee House is great- delicious coffee and I always order their Ground Coffee House muffin. The staff have always been pleasant. Their delivery is a little slow however. I prefer the take away more than the restaurant next door.

The coffee was great, cheese toastie wonderful, soup average. The staff didn’t really want to serve me even though I explained that I had be sent from their sister cafe 2 doors down. Everything was being cleared away around me even though they weren’t due to close for over half an hour. I felt pressured to leave, they really seemed to want me to have take away.

Ground coffee house never disappoints. The staff are friendly and the service is always delivered with such high standards. There’s no where else in burnham I’d go to for my morning coffee!

Brilliant place to go for a nice hot chocolate or coffee with some cake, hot chocolate is amazing with a fluffy layer of froth on top. Loverly staff, all polite and talkative. It has a really nice and friendly atmosphere overall

We were delighted with our takeaway breakfast delivery for 18 people, food was delicious and Elise was amazing and stayed until she was certain everyone had received what they had ordered. I would highly recommend their takeaway breakfast service.

Service was incredibly slow, we waited 20 minutes for a slice of cake. Then also received the wrong cake. For some reason we had to wait on the street and our order was taken at the door. Food was decent though, however overall quite spenny and together with the very slow service an overall not pleasant experience.

They need to train their staff, I paid £4.95 for a kinder hot chocolate and £4.50 for a large cappuccino and a shot of caramel. When it was made, it was not how it was normally made and when I tasted it there was no trace of Kinder and no taste of caramel. I’m normally happy to pay these prices but when it’s wrong it is really disappointing. When I complained the staff member said he was new and apologised which is good but I kind of wish I hadn’t wasted my money. Just be careful, try before you leave the shop!

After reading many good reviews here on TripAdvisor, I decided to visit this coffee shop whilst in the area. I agree with other reviews that the coffee is excellent. Lovely velvety texture and at the right temperature. However, we had to wait a very long time for our 3 drinks. The lady that served us was very friendly and helpful and wiped down the chairs for us to sit outside, as it had been raining. But then 5 or 6 more people ordered take away coffees and these were all made and taken away. We were still waiting, and when my son went to ask where our drinks were, the guy there asked to take his order. No one was making our coffees. They had forgotten us. We did receive and an apology for the delay, as they had become side tracked. It was just a bit disappointing.

Best coffee in Burnham! Ground is always our favourite place for great coffee and sandwiches. Friendly staff make it a lovely local spot. We have also used for sandwich platter catering and was equally impressed with this.

Breakfast Muffins and milkshakes were spot on ! 1st time visit certainly won't be the last ! Thankyou !!

Lunch was incredible! I also had them cater a breakfast for my daughters wedding day and the platters were amazing! Exceptional on every level! Cannot recommend them enough!

I visited this amazing coffee shop this week and the food and coffee are delicious! Friendly smiles all too, even though they seemed rushed off their feet. I use this place quite a lot Be it t for a coffee on the go or a breakfast delivered to work.. these guys are awsome.. Paul and Michelle are allways friendly and attentive.. the staff are all lovely and can’t fault them.. but the food!!!!!! Mwah amazing… also I live the fact I can get a coffee delivered with out stupid delivery charge FREE DELIVERY! Also keep a eye out for a KOFE shops at the stations… keep it up guys

Came accross Ground Coffee House on an off chance and really fancied a iced coffee, the staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable they even twisted my arm ( didnt need much) to have a cannali.. Well the iced coffee was just delicious the coffee was smooth and didnt have that horrible bitter aftertaste i would gonas far as saying it was best coffee i have had ! As for the price they are soo reasonable.. And the cannali what a delicious little compliment to my coffee..

What a great coffee shop to visit on burnham high street, visited here today for coffee and lunch the coffee was fabulous but I must say the food was outstanding such good quality definitely worth a visit. Burnham-on-Crouch is a town some may call dull, however Ground Coffee House was everything but, from the food to the decor, I had a sensory overload in the best of ways which reminded me why it's great to be British.
