Great stay at the Grosvenor for four nights b and breakfast. Staff are very attentive had evening meals the four nights which were plentiful well cooked and presented cannot fault this hotel will be back soon.

The food here is plentiful and well cooked and presented. The staff are helpful and efficient and you don't seem to have to wait long from ordering to food arriving at your table - which is good. I do wonder if they allow adults to purchase the children's meals, as I struggle with the size of the portions. You wont leave this hotel feeling hungry.

Four of us popped in for lunch early. The landlord opened early, thank you. Great range of real ales, all well kept. Steak pie was full of the most gorgeous meat, homemade chips and perfect gravy. 5 minute walk from town car park and well worth it.

What an absolute little gem of a place this is. I'll be honest for the price my expectations weren't great but wow I was so wrong. The friendliest greeting when we arrived, shown straight to our room which yes it was on the small side but more than adequate for what we needed. En suite, large TV, tea coffee, toiletries. We had a meal which was lovely and the full English breakfast was also lovely. Every staff member we encountered were friendly. Bonus for us was counterfiet cekts the live band which we really enjoyed. Will defo be returning and would definitely recommend.

Very good pub food. Lots of daily specials with a wide choice of dishes. Friendly atmosphere and convenient location for Robin Hood Bay. Excellent value for money.

Not staying at the Grosvenor this time but staying in the area, This the reason we visited again always a nice welcome good quality food at reasonable prices and a good selection on offer something for everyone. Would highly recommend the steak pie. We will be back soon

Just finished the Coast to Coast, from the Irish Sea at St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Sea, some 192 miles over 17 days and nights and 17 pubs. The outstanding worst pub of the 17 was this one. Cold food, bad wine, poor service, etc. Hard to be the worst of 17 pubs by a mile but they did it. A memory not soon forgotten

Visited twice in 2 days. Great fresh crab sandwiches and a beautiful lobster salad at a very reasonable price. If we lived closer we’d be back Thankyou

A pleasant stay , friendly staff and a unexpected room upgrade. Parking very convenient and not too expensive the breakfast was nice and a nice busy bar/ restaurant with a good choice of food. Located at the top of the hill so not too far into the centre of robin hoods bay.

Dog friendly, we were able to bring the dogs inside in the warmth. Good vegan options too, only a couple of options but they were really good. Chickpea, sweet potato, spinach curry was one of them. Good vegan desserts too - hot brownie with vegan ice cream comes highly recommended. Vegetarian lasagne with garlic bread was lovely and generous on the cheese topping. Lovely ales on tap too, wainwright's and black sheep. Delicious! And straight opposite a car park that's free after 6pm

Had a absolutely amazing meal here. I had the lobster could not believe the price. The staff are all very friendly highly recommend this hotel

We decided to come to the Grosvenor for a late lunch and it did not disappoint! We had fish and chips and scampi and chips. The fish was the perfect size and cooked to perfection and the chips were to die for. Would definitely recommend to anybody after a long walk up the back. 100% will return!

Decided to grap a quick bite of lunch as we were staying in the hotel and had read amazing reviews of the food. Both of us decided on the fish and chips with mushy peas. So disappointed fish was extremely small considering it was meant to be a large and the chips didn't taste fresh,more like they had been warmed up. Mushy peas were barely warm and a side portion of salad was placed on the plate with a slice of orange stuck on the top(very strange). The following morning when we went down for breakfast the older waitress that served us was grumpy and no customer service skills whatsoever. The breakfast was okay no blackpudding no mushrooms so very dissatisfied. Room 3 which we stayed in was not a large double as we had expected and the shower trickled out a small amount of water when it was on full it certainly was no power shower. We definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Had a great meal booked in for 8.15 no waitress service had to order at the bar .Had a nice meal asked if I could have a sweet was told by surely waitress I had to order at the bar went to the bar it was ten deep she then said you probably won't get a sweet now as we stop serving at 8.30 so if I wanted a pudding I should have ordered when I ordered my main meal absolute joke.

An excellent home cooked meal. The garlic chicken and home made lassage were lovely. Efficient and friendly service. Recommended.

We had three meals here during our stay in RHB. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. We tried the Stilton chicken, Sunday Lunch, seafood platter and lasagna. Every meal was gorgeously fresh with lots of vegetables cooked to perfection.

On our first night in town we struggled to get into anywhere down by the sea but following a check on trip advisor we made our way to the Grovesnor and I’m glad we did. Two huge and tasty burgers later and we were very satisfied. The service was friendly and our dog was welcomed. We didn’t have any room for pudding sadly but can wholeheartedly recommend it for good quality well priced food.

We both had enjoyable meals here. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had put COVID measures into place, but unfortunately some customers were not adhering to them. Love eating here when we are in Robin Hoods Bay. It may not be the poshest place in town but it provides good quality fresh food at an acceptable price in great quantity. You wont leave the table feeling hungry. There is a good variety of food to choose from too. Staff are happy to help and the lady behind the bar was more concerned about than the length of our wait for food than we were! She kept checking with the kitchen staff and keeping us informed - which was very good. Well satisfied when the food arrived. It was worth the wait

Came here today for a Sunday dinner - which was absolutely delicious. There was a varied choice on meats, and they also cater for vegetarians. The only thing we’d change is we wished we’d not eaten so much so that we could’ve had a pudding! Lovely place and atmosphere - we’ll definitely be back.

We visited Robin's Hood Bay for the day and went to Grosvenor Hotel for lunch. We had booked a table in advance however the organisation was not very good and the waitress could not find our table, we were then told to sit anywhere. The food was delicious and definitely recommend!

You can expect good service from experienced staff, a good choice of food and drink which is all reasonably priced. this is a large pub so can easily socially distance, also has outside seating.

We booked in quite late in the day as all of Robin hoods Bay was full for evening meals.The staff were very good and very helpful.The menu was very good too with lots to choose from and I was served with a very tasty meal which was also a large helping so all good I hear you say!!!I’m afraid not...The place became very full to bursting.At one point I counted 12 people around two tables pushed together(so much for the rule of 6).When I asked the staff to do something I was met with a shrug of the shoulders and a respond of “I can’t do anything”Track and Trace was in place but I had to remind staff I needed to sign it.This spoilt a good night when so May people are obeying the social distancing rules and this place was just about having a party.If there is a major COVID outbreak in this part of the world look no further than the Grosvonor.

We ate here twice, the food was good, staff very friendly and helpful, social distancing in place. If you enjoy pub food and atmosphere this is a great place to go.

Arrived late at our B&B and the owner recommended this place for food. We got there around 9pm and asked if they were still serving food. The chap behind the bar pointed at a small table and said quick, grab that one before anyone else. We did and ordered from the menu. You order at the bar and the lady behind the bar was nice and chatty.The wife ordered fish and chips which was massive with a nicely glazed side salad. I ordered scampi and chips, I've never seen so much scampi in one portion. Lovely meal at good prices for the portions you get.

Food was tasty and service was friendly and quick. However, although there was a one way system in place and hand sanitizer available there were no track and trace details taken and no social distancng between customers. Finishing our meal, a diner was sat next to my husband.

These was very busy but managed to fit us in on Busy Bank Holiday. Was shown into a lovely dining room. Separate gluten free menu. Plenty of choice. Young blonde hair waitress with black glasses was very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. All our meals arrived together x4. Mine was absolutely delicious. Fantastic prices. So good we ate next day in the outside terrace. Will definitely be back.

Visited this hotel on 2 occasions on our recent visit to robin hoods bay . And must say the service and help from the staff was excellent , the food was also very good value and lovely too . The pub was very busy both times we were in but we was never waiting long to be served we will be calling again on our next visit to robin hoods bay regards Julie & Pete Chapman

As a party of 2 adults and a child of 10 we all enjoyed a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings by friendly, attentive staff. The Steak Pie and chips were delicious as were the Chicken Kormas i am reliably informed, the Cheescake and ice cream for dessert was as good as i have had anywhere.The Restaurant is dog friendly and serves a good selection of drinks. The price was reasonable but when the discount applied due to the Eat out to Help out Scheme it was an absolute bargain.

We ate here on Monday. Even though the restaurant was very busy we were very well looked after and didn’t have a long wait long for our meals!!! We did feel that the bar area was very crowded with people waiting to order and waiting to be seated! Not a great deal of social distancing! !

On Saturday 15th August 2020 we visted the Grosvenor Hotel in Robin Hoods Bay for a meal. Unfortunettly it was the worse meal me and my family have ever had, the chips where cold and appear to have been re-heated and the eggs where undercooked a total waste of £53.65.Strongly advise avoiding this place.

Stopped off here for tea after a visit to Robin hood bay. Covid measures in place with sanitizer at the bar and tables distanced. Staff were friendly. Eat out to help out scheme is in place so it cost us £10.50 for two curries and two drinks - can't complain about that.I've had tastier dishes but this was pub grub not a 5 star restaurant so no complaints. The potions were huge and were really good value for money.If I was in the area again I would return.

Went last year and was blown away by the quality of the food and the great value! Decided to go back this year and was not disappointed. The food was as delicious as ever and just as good value for money. The service is always friendly and there’s a great local community feel to the place.

We stay at the grosvenor regular I just what to thank them for helping us change the dates due to Coronavirus. We had booked a stay in April and may and we booked anon refundable booking.i do real feel for them in this situation so thank you so much for changing dates at no extra costs

My wife and I have just returned from a 5day/4night stay at this hotel and found the hotel excellent value.We took advantage of their January pricing for bed and breakfast accommodation.The room was clean,warm,with walk-in shower and more than adequate for our stay.The breakfast was superb with choice of cereals followed by a huge “full English “”choosing whatever contents you wanted or other smaller options of your choice.We also ate in the bar area on a couple of evenings and again found good choices at reasonable prices.Previously whilst staying in Robin Hoods Bay we have stayed in cottages but in future with the good value of this hotel(with breakfast) we are far more likely to go for this option.

Stayed 3 nights. Can’t fault it. Nice clean room , food was lovely curry night on Monday £8.95 for curry and a pint you can’t go wrong. Beer was excellent and Craig who worked the bar was very obliging. Tuesday night was music night great atmosphere. I didn’t have breakfast on last day as I was leaving early so they cut me a sandwich to take with me. I highly recommended this hotel.
